lol they are ugy and dorky but i love them. they are sooooooooo comfortable and great around certain areas ( pool decks, boats etc) i got a pair of really ugly orange crock sandles at my daughters marine graduation in paris island ( badly needed a omfortable pair of somethingand they were the only anything comfy) ithink they are obnoxious but love them lol

Okay, in a world where lack of taste has got us looking to Amy Winehouse as a cultural icon and claims Lil'Wayne's musing on a par with scripture; how do you not expect people to love Crocs. It's true that they're comfortable (you're wearing a sponge), but they're uglier than a bowling shoe. Of course, wearing bowling shoes is another popular fashion trend. Look around you clowns are everywhere. Hey, I'm "publicated."

I just went back and read your article and couldn't agree more, they are ugly as hell and the people who sport these atrocious looking chunks of rubber on thier feet are dorks, but to each his own, it was humorous to read and those who were offended by the article need to toughen up, everybody is so(sniff,sniff)sensative these days it makes me sick. Kudos to you.

Love itttt!!!!!!! Yes I wear those ugly rubber things but I also in most cases (unless running to the grocery store quickly) do attempt to atleast match my over sized rubber monsters to my clothing. I love my crocs but your story was great. Anyone who can get upset enough to threaten you has some serious mental issues and wouldn't understand anything funny even if they were looking at it in the mirror.......... I read both story's and am still chuckling about it...........

too funny. Crocs are ugly, but I wear them around the house, never in public. I just can't brng myself to do it!!! But I do love that they are comfortable. I am an even bigger dork because I buy the offbrand of crocs, they are like 20-25 dollars cheaper!! On another note, it is sad that an article about the latest and one of the worst fashions since parachute pants could elicit anger and death threats.

I found your article very entertaining and it made me laugh. So did this one. If people can't make a joke about even a non-issue like crocs, then we would be living in a bleak, humorless world.

My opinion on Crocs aside, this article was hilarious and very witty. I looked up some of your past work and found it equally entertaining. I'm glad to see that all the people writing to complain about your first article only helped you to be able to write more...ahh sweet justice. I look forward to reading more from you in the future.

The article was brilliant. I hadn't laughed that hard from what someone wrote in years. It was exactly what was needed. I'm so tired of reading about all the bad that???s happening around us...you're a funnyman. I put Crocs right up there with people who wear sandals at every event they attend. My main thing about crocs is that they make your feet look twice as big as they are. AND wearing a purple shirt with blue and pink crocs DOES NOT match, PLEASE stop doing that. Parents, if you MUST buy your children these "shoes", please at least get colors that match some clothes they have. Personally my 11 yr old daughter looked like she wanted to hurt me when i asked if she wanted a pair. i'm proud of her.

i also hate crocs. they make your feet look huge and they are just plain ugly. and i can't believe parents pass this trend on the their children. wearing crocs out in public is to me like wearing your lounge pants to go shopping in.

You were dead on about those Crocs and the article was funny. I would have never imagined that a shoe so ugly could become so popular. I though that jellies were the worst shoes until the Croc.
