A Croc of … Wit

Wow - when so many people can get into such an uproar over an article about shoes, it really makes me wonder. The "stupid" quotes were too funny and very ironic. Maybe if the poncho comes back in style we can hear about how stupid those are as well. HA!

First of all, it's entertainment. These people need to chill and not freak out over someones opinion. I think it's completely wierd how some of those people responded. I'm kinda even a little embarrassed for them! Taking something thats so small, into the end of the world.... wierd

I can't believe how stupid these people are to sit there and stress about someone else's opinion. And anyway people, thats why we also consider it entertainment. People need to not get so worked up and outta control over nothing....wierdos.

Didn't even get to read the Newsweek article, but what a scream these last articles were...if there is a surplus of Crocs and they go on sale real cheap, I might break down and buy a pair just to see what all the fuss is about.

My, what a jump...hating crocs to genocide! I often wonder how such angry people function in the real world living every day like someone pissed in their Cheerios every morning. Personally, I can't stand crocs and haven't liked them since the first time my eyes were assaulted by those ugly excuse for shoes. The day this fashion atrocity goes out of style and people are too embarrassed to admit they ever owned a pair is the day I can finally dance around in happiness that the wrath of the ugly shoe gods is finally over and they've decided to stop punishing us.

I LAUGHED AND LAUGHED. Whatever happened to being entitled to your opinion? I think that the people who attempted to insult you felt shielded by the internet. Had these been face to face encounters do you really think they'd have the balls to say such things? Maybe if they were wearing rubber shoes.
Thing is, every writer is going to be praised and criticized, and I applaud you for taking it all in stride and turning their weak (and horribly misspelled) jabs into something far more entertaining.

i agree with you 100% i think that crocs are completely stupid and dorky and for the people who think your trying to promote genocide i think maybe the genocide of these crocs would be fine but come on people this is a regular person just stating his opinion not hitler jeeze but some crocs and go for 70 to 120 dollars in some places, thats a pair of brand new jordans!

I hadn't read your original piece but THIS was funny! And if your article on Crocs did nothing else but help a mom mourning the loss of her child find some joy for a brief moment, it was all worth it. Since you closed with her comment, I would guess you agree. By the way, my daughter and her two boys wear Crocs. Somehow I never did like plasticy (sp?) shoes but they SAY they are so comfy. Grandma just might give 'em a try.

Sorry you don't care for CROCS, but they care for my feet. My husband thinks they are terribly ugly and laughs when I come home with another color, but they are the only shoes that don't hurt my poor 71 year old feet. I'm glad I found them and no more sore dogs for me.
