A Croc of … Wit

Perhaps, people who wear Crocs shoild be known as Dorcs.

I loved the article in newsweek, I loved that someone put in print what I had been saying since I first saw my first pair of crocs, they are butt ugly!!! I am not known as a fashion maven, but I think I can account for horror in fashion, and to me crocs would rank right up there, wear them to the beach if you must but then leave them in the closet for everywhere else.....oh and mother and daughter matching crocs, don't get me started on that....,

I can't believe I missed the first article last week! Crocs are the ugliest shoes I have ever seen and they are even worse when people put the charms in the holes. Last Christmas my trendy Mother wanted a pair of army green Crocs to match my little sisters pair and I asked her if she was high. I happilly refer to my family members as dorks because they wear crocs. Thanks for providing some entertainment during my last fifteen minutes on company time :)

Please commit more acts of bad writing. I must have a way to entertain myself on company time. :P

Ha, Ha I love it!!! I hate Crocs too. I think they are so ugly, but to each his own, right. Thanks for the laugh on a boring friday afternoon.

It just goes to show that irony is a forgotten art...

i think being able to spell crosses over to wearing crocs...

Great article. And I think it's really funny how, now that you called all those Croc-crazies out, these comments are very positive. Once you point out that someone is being silly, it's hard for them to say much else.

There are not many articles in Newsweek that make me guffaw out loud, but this one (and the previous) did just that! Steve Tuttle, you are brilliant: you're the little voice inside our heads, saying the things we dare not say out loud (for fear of loathing or public lashing - or both). To all the Crocs wearers who don't get the joke: lighten up! If you wear those damn silly rubber clogs, you must have a sense of humor...and to those who say there are more important issues in the world today, I say a good belly laugh can cure a lot of our problems. So keep it up, Steve. More hilarious articles about the sillyness of everyday life is just what the Dr. ordered.

Although Tuttle's article didn't specifically mention it, one of the reasons Crocs are so horrible is that usually the accompanying outfit is even worse! They are part of the "slobification" of America. I am so tired of hearing everyone use the excuse "they are comfortable!" to wear Crocs everywhere they go. To all you Crocs owners...if you don't care enough to spend 5 minutes making yourself look presentable, do you really think we will believe you devote any energy to productive activities? I praise Tuttle for not only his humor, his solid parenting, but because he is trying to make our nation look semi-respectable to the rest of the world!

Both articles were HILARIOUS and I think people need to FIND their sense of humor!! I for one, think that Crocs are....as we say in Texas.....COYOTE UGLY!! Those in the South will know how ugly that is!! :-)

Crocs are just dumb. What next? I can recall that the first folks I saw wearing them were medical staff and salon workers, mostly. And then it spread. Like cancer. The good thing, though, is that, in a couple of years people will hardly remember Crocs (or why they liked them). Sort of like earth shoes. Remember those?

Poor croc-wearers. Not only are they stupid enough to wear garishly colored styrofoam garden clogs in public, but I don't think any of them will ever get to be publicated writers, if their comments are any judge.
