Its obvious that Clinton is the one.

    Obama Hints are Crystal Clear...

    He Will Select Hillary Clinton.

    I'm 99.9% Sure of it !!!

None of the Prospective Candidates could Bring the States to Barack, that Hillary alone, would be able to EASILY GENERATE without little or NO EFFORT....

Hillary will have to Gaurd her Words and be GAFFE and LIES FREE

Bill Clinton will have to be utilized Less, to Avoid any GAFFES as well

But once Obama is in the White House, he'll not have to Deal with Bill as most would THINK.

No more than if Bill was Barack's Vice President.

This time Hillary will be Running the VP Show and Bill will be off, playing Golf or Garnering More Oil Millions from Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates and Bill's Khazastan Business Dealings via his Uranium Mines.

Barack will truly be Running the Presidential Show and the Ground Rules will be....

"Bill the Oval Office, is Off Limits to You, Simple and Plain "

Hillary will do what VP do, but in this case, with Much More, Domestic Policy and her proposed Universal Health Care, will Finally be REALIZED, that will keep her Busy and Happy

Hillary will be one Busy VP and Bill Clinton, will be off Limits to the Oval Office...Period.

Its obvious that Clinton is the one.

    1. Hillary brings Multiple States into play for Obama.

This will happen with little or no Work on both Candidates parts.

    2. Clinton will be a headlining speaker at the convention as well as her husband Bill Clinton.

    3. All Clinton's Supporters will be Acknowledged and Seated.

    4. Obama needs Hillary and Hillary needs Obama, its Obvious, because No prospective candidate mention thus far can reach Multiple States as Hillary Rodham Clinton, for better or for WORSE !

John F. Kennedy loathed Lyndon B. Johnson, but needed LBJ to Win the Big State of TEXAS and he chose LBJ, for better or for WORSE !

Had the polls been 9-10 points Up....

Obama could then look in another direction, but that is not the case.

I remember Biden when he came to Iowa way back in early 2007. He is a pleasant fellow, but he has a flaw that makes him a liability and it won't help Obama as much as undermine him. I don't know why for sure, but after listening to him talk, at first you think he is great, but the longer he talks, and the more he says, he seems to be trying too hard to prove how much he knows, and how sincere he is.
He was my first choice, then Edwards; Obama was too much of a phenom with too little actual experience in a time when we need someone that knows how to make Washington work, not just someone who is merely speaking to the choir about how bad things are in Washington.
I finally settled on, and was happy with Hillary, she was real and not the phony Obama people tried to make her into. Their ongoing hate of Hillary makes it difficult for former Hillary supporters to warm to Obama and Biden doesn't work for me as anything but a replay of, of all people, Bill Clinton who also was always looking for praise.

"But people forget that the selection of Dick Cheney in 2000 helped George W. Bush prevail."

    God help us.

Biden will have his foot in his mouth and will talk out of his behind

Oh come on News, Joe Biden is a good guy.

      • Posted By: News and Notes @ 08/22/2008 9:34:02 AM

He is a good guy, and a great senator. I'm wary of him as a VP pick though

        • Posted By: Not4BO @ 08/22/2008 10:09:17 AM

The Republicans thought Cheney would be a good partner for Bush because of his experience - look where that took us.

seems to me the weakest minds are the ones who settle for the lesser of two evils and fail to have high expectations of their leaders and fail to hold them accountable

A Rush Limbaugh fan ... Ralph Nader fan ... and a Shrub Happy American. This site must attract the weakest minds in America. They have no clue that their daily lives have been negatively impacted by the mob they elected or the dreamer that has compromised his legacy as a stalwart for consumers (America, unfortunately, doesn't elect highly ethical and right on the issues candidates). They do elect folks who won't scare them and who will appear to be regular guys, despite their inclinations to lie with a straight face and limit any manifestations of political courage. In the case of Bush and Cheney, they elected the most mean-spirited and psychologically narcissists in modern American history. America reaps what it sows. Maybe their pain is sufficient to elect the change team this time. Its a contest between their self-interest and their stupidity.

What if the entire Russian card is a hoax? I mean it???s a big mistake for either party to align their candidates to Georgian president. John Edwards is a saint compare to this IDIOT who is not even mentally fit to run his Family! And here the guy, projected to be the VP and who wants to waste another billion for Georgia? The only chance for Democrats to win is to stay away from this whole Georgian subject. There are lots of issues that may eventually resurface and bite you back. We don???t want another Cold War! Hillary for VP is the BEST choice for Democrats SO FAR to improve our foreign relations and bring America back to the TOP, where it belong.

PS By the way do you know that Mr Georgiev conducting his orchestra? Where? In Tshinvali, South Ossetia!!! When? Tonight @ 8pm

It is interesting that people vote based on what is happening at the moment. Whomever is elected in November, we will have to put up with that person until January 2013. Who knows what the most important issues are going to be then. We need the strongest ticket, one that can adapt easily to unforseen changes. I agree, Hillary is the best choice.

  • Posted By: News and Notes @ 08/22/2008 9:26:42 AM

There is only one VP candidate who can potentially sway several additional swing states into Obama's win column in November, AND would add immeasurable enthusiasm in the Democratic Party. Like it or not, it is Hillary

  • Posted By: realchange @ 08/22/2008 9:05:25 AM

obama could have had 3-6% more votes had he adopted a meager 3 out of a list of 20 issues from the nader campaign but he refused. i wonder how ralph's support would have helped him? i better not hear a single word about ralph being s spoiler when obama loses this election. he had numerous chances.

Joe Biden was and is the original straight shooter! The man is
honerable and one of the most knowledgeable one could
    hope for a v.p.

I could back an Obama Biden with all that is within me.

Plagiarism... and it goes down hill from here. Bring him on!

      • Posted By: eric0125 @ 08/21/2008 8:33:14 PM

If you actually knew anything about the story, you would know that Biden acknowledged the quote's source SEVERAL times beforehand in other stump speeches, and neglected to do so one time. Big deal.

Besides, it was 20 years ago.

        • Posted By: thehappyamerican @ 08/22/2008 6:35:48 AM

you think thats his only problems! Good ! Bring him on!!!

How ironic that a man who voted for the Iraq war, a defining vote of our time is now the man to bail out the man with the execeptional judgement. How sick can you the media pundits get???.
seriously, what's the difference between joe biden and McCain?. they all blundered on Iraq and followed George Bush with their tails between their legs.Where's the judgement and experience to stand on wisdom???.These is not a change we can believe in.This is washingtong "mary-go-around-dance.same on you Mr. Alter, i thought you hadmore brains than the rest of the media crowd!!!.

Joe Biden is DETESTABLE. He may have learned to bite his tounge in the 20 years since 1988, but his then smart-aleck response of "I think I have a higher IQ than you," to a New Hampshire voter who asked the innocent question of how well Biden did in college, made all it too clear what kind of person Biden really is. Such an answer defines Biden on multiple levels. The first and most obvious is that if Biden is the genius he believes he is, then he should have known you don't win over voters by telling them to their face that they are stupid. Second: the fact that he would lose his cool over such a simple question doesn't say much for his abiltiy to bet the potjential leader of the free world and go face to face with the leaders of Iran, North Korea, or Russia. Lastly, his utter astonishment that someone could possibly question the qualifications of the great Joe Biden shows how self absorbed he is. For all of his boasting of being a Democratic champion of the common man, it apparently never occured to him that in a democracy the common man has a right to question the qualifications of potential leaders.

This is more of the news media making its own news. A buncha buncha media go stand around Biden's house with cameras, then report there's a buncha buncha media standing around Biden's house with cameras,

I think Joe Biden is perfect as Obama's VP. He is a glib talker who offers an amazingly simple but blunt opinion. His strengths support Barack's short comings. Go Obama/Biden in 08.

I like Joe Biden for a number of reasons.

    1) He has foreign policy gravitas
    2) He has lots of Washington experience
    3) He's originally from PA, a very important state
    4) He's funny and he shoots from the hip.

cmon, the comments about the "Successful Dump" yesterday played on Olbermann? That's funny stuff!

He can be nasty and sharp-tongued right when nervous Dems need it the most.

    Obama-Biden 08!

    JOE BIDEN ?

DID HE HAVE BRAIN SURGERY ?

DIDN'T HE TAKE CREDIT FOR THE WRITINGS OF OTHERS ?

JOE BIDEN CONTRARY TO HIS BELIEF DID NOT CO-AUTHOR THE DECLARATION OF IN DEPENDENCE.

JOE BIDENS EMBELLISHMENTS DO NOT MEET THE WICKED WITCHES STANDARDS ---- THANK GOD !

    Tough call, Jonathan.

I do agree, though, that Obama needs an attack dog. I know the general feeling is that Clinton doesn't address his greatest his greatest weakness in the electorate -- the older folks and white men -- but the enthusiasm that would come from Hillary can't be gauged. Although it's also true that some independents absolutely despise her.

It's going to be a tough call for Obama either way, but I have to say that much like Bush in 2000, the VP nominee is going to have a rather large impact. As much as it pains me to say, I voted for Bush in 2000, Cheney sealed the deal for me then.

I'm an Obama guy now, regardless of his decision.
