I am very disappointed about Obama???s choice of Joe Biden for VP. After all, because Obama and I have so much in common, I felt that I WOULD BE THE MOST LOGICAL CHOICE.

After all, who was with Obama when he joined a racist and hateful black liberation theology church? I WAS !!

And who was with him when he sat in the pews and listened to hateful and racist remarks year after year? I WAS !!

And who was with him when he cast his vote against protecting the lives of innocent babies who survived a botched abortion attempt? I WAS !!

And who was with him when he was the most vocal proponent of the heinous procedure called partial birth abortion, where late-term babies have their skulls cracked open while in the womb, and their brains sucked out so that they can be killed BEFORE they are delivered? I WAS !!

Yes, I have stuck with Obama throughout his whole political life, and this is what I get in return?

Oh, well, I will support him, nonetheless, because after all, he is furthering my cause, and for that I am grateful.

Rezko was under federal investigation when barry bought his house. And rezko had already been involved/exposed in a false minority front business just months before barry bought his house. Boneheaded mistake = bad judgment.

The fact that McCains family owns numerous homes has no bearing whatsoever on his ability to lead the country on the contrary being independantly wealthy is common among those running for or being President. He was cleared in the Keating affair of any wrongdoing. Penalizing sucessful people or ones who marry sucessful families is against our Amercan way of life where any one can succeed. It's out there. Unfortunately what this indicates is that the Republicans, devoid of an actual political plan that may benefit our nation, are once again playing the Karl Rove tune which means bending, stretching and distorting the truth knowing that there wil always be people who will hear the sound byte without checking the source. I appreciate that you are exposing this for the falsehood it is. I fear, though, that the gutter politics of the Republicans wil continue. It's the only way they know how to win.

Unfortunately as the first responses suggest, Republicans are once again on the low road. It worked for Bush so now they figure it will work for McCain. Unfortunately what it indicates is just how bankrupt the Republican party is of any ideas that will benefit this country. They wave their flags and pat themselves on the back for being true patriots, but what they are mostly about is protecting the privileges of the rich. Like McCain.

It was just four years after the landlords -- Antoin "Tony'' Rezko and his partner Daniel Mahru -- had rehabbed the 31-unit building in Englewood with a loan from Chicago taxpayers.

Rezko and Mahru couldn't find money to get the heat back on.

But their company, Rezmar Corp., did come up with $1,000 to give to the political campaign fund of Barack Obama, the newly elected state senator whose district included the unheated building.

Obama has been friends with Rezko for 17 years. Rezko has been a political patron to Obama and many others, helping to raise millions of dollars for them through his own contributions and by hosting fund-raisers in his home.

Obama, who has worked as a lawyer and a legislator to improve living conditions for the poor, took campaign donations from Rezko even as Rezko's low-income housing empire was collapsing, leaving many African-American families in buildings riddled with problems -- including squalid living conditions, vacant apartments, lack of heat, squatters and drug dealers.

"Their buildings were falling apart,'' said a former city official. "They just didn't pay attention to the condition of these buildings.''

Eleven of Rezko's buildings were in Obama's state Senate district.

Rezko is nothing compared to the ads that will be coming out resurrecting McCain's role in the Keating5 S&L debacle. There you have $350,000 dollars going into McCain's pockets and a betrayal of the public trust.
