love234america, every non-partisan source agrees on this story. Get your facts from politifact or factcheck.org instead of Fox News.

MXYZPTLK, i don't know where you got your numbers. However, reputable sources like the LA times tell the opposite story. In fact, after the beginnning of the primaries the Media was much harsher on Obama.

By the way, Brighter America, they bought the property at the same time. The owner refused to sell Obama only the lot he wanted, so his buddy of 17 years (you know, the one he only did 4 or 5 hours of work for), helped him out so that he could purchase the property.

  • Posted By: love234america @ 08/22/2008 8:32:15 PM

This is a very bias report. Obama could not afford to buy the house because the owner would not sell without the adjacent property being purchased at the same time, so Rekzo bought the adjacent property so Obama could have his house. So Rekzo did aid Obama in the purchase of his home. You did not state true facts.

What's all the fuss about how many houses McCain. I must admit he married very well. Name me the last guy who ran for president who was poor. I guess Obama is trying to imply that he understands the poor peoples needs more than McCain.
Last time I checked a house that cost 1.65mil does not qualify you as not being well off. You Obama supporters make me laugh. The guy hangs around with multi millionaires and you try to portray him as a "peoples candidate" If Obama get's elected the only real change you will see is in his net worth.

    • Posted By: cookie_2825 @ 08/22/2008 8:32:07 PM

Senator Obama home maybe 1.65 million but John and Cindy McCain homes are worth 14 millions

It is John and Cindy McCain that's the "ELITIST" and out of touch with the American people.

Enough already! My brain is bleeding out my ears from this nonsense. Both candidates are rich by average American's standards OK? We get it! What really worries me is that McCain seems really good at taking facts, twisting and manipulating them to deceive the public. Is this what I am to expect from him as president? "Dear American public we must go to war AGAIN because of this and that." Are those ???this and that???s??? going to be facts twisted and distorted to deceive us again? What about big oil? Is he going to battle them from sucking us dry while making 51% more profits then last year? No, lets just drill, drill, drill.
Hey, I have an idea; lets get off the oil wagon completely. Seems like a way to bring national security as well to America.
Cut the BS. Our economy sucks; we are owned by big oil that plays games with us like a cruel cat with a mouse. China makes everything we have and now our food prices are rising to the point where I am getting pretty darned sick of Mac and Cheese. So enough already. I would rather vote for a young, intelligent man with perhaps less political experience then a man who has learned to "Play the Washington Game" pretty darn well it seems. The longer they are in Washington the more chance to be bought and paid for by special interest groups!
CAN WE TALK ABOUT REAL ISSUES AND HOW WE CAN FIX THEM PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Among the key findings:
??? The three broadcast networks ran 462 positive stories about Obama ??? 34 percent of the total ??? compared with only 70 stories (5 percent) that were critical.
??? NBC Nightly News was the most lopsided, with 179 pro-Obama reports, more than 10 times the number of anti-Obama stories, 17. The CBS Evening News ran 156 stories in favor of Obama, compared to just 21 anti-Obama reports. ABC???s World News was the least slanted, but still tilted roughly four-to-one in Obama???s favor ??? 127 positive stories to 32 negative reports.
??? Barack Obama received his best press ???when it mattered most, as he debuted on the national scene,??? the MRC report observed. All three networks lavished him with praise when he was the keynote speaker at the 2004 Democratic Convention, and did not produce a single negative story about Obama prior to the start of his presidential campaign in early 2007.
??? Obama???s relationship with convicted influence peddler Tony Rezko was the subject of only two full network reports, one each on ABC and NBC, and was mentioned in just 15 other stories. Also, CBS and NBC initially downplayed controversial statements from Obama???s long-time pastor Jeremiah Wright.
??? Obama???s best press of this year came after he won the North Carolina primary on May 6. After that, 43 percent of stories were favorable to Obama, compared to just 1 percent that were critical.
??? The networks referred to Obama as a "liberal" only 14 times in four years, while on twice as many occasions reporters referred to him as either a "rock star," "rising star," or "superstar" during the same period.
??? Of 147 average citizens who expressed an on-camera opinion about Obama, 114 were pro-Obama, compared to just 28 that offered a negative opinion, with the remaining five offering a mixed opinion.
Brent Bozell said in a statement: ???This study proves emphatically and without question that the Big Three networks had a horse in this year???s Democratic primary race. And that with their wall-to-wall, 24-hour daily assistance, NBC, ABC and CBS provided Sen. Barack Obama???s margin of victory.
???As the liberal media???s ardor with Sen. Hillary Clinton evaporated, so too did the inevitability of her victory. The press fixated their infatuated gazes on Sen. Obama, and afforded him the crucial coverage and support he needed to win.???

Report: Networks Gave Obama the Nomination

    Wednesday, August 20, 2008 3:27 PM

    By: Jim Meyers
An exhaustive, eight-year Media Research Center study of the Big Three TV networks??? coverage of Barack Obama shows that their favorable spin on the Democrat gave him his margin of victory in the primaries, according to MRC president Brent Bozell.
The MRC notes that this year saw the closest nomination contest in a generation, with just one-tenth of a percentage point ??? 41,622 votes out of more than 35 million cast ??? separating Obama from Hillary Clinton when the Democratic primaries ended in June.
???But Barack Obama had a crucial advantage over his rivals this year: the support of the national media, especially the three broadcast networks,??? an MRC report on the study states.
???At every step of his national political career, network reporters showered the Illinois Senator with glowing media coverage, building him up as a political celebrity and exhibiting little interest in investigating his past associations or exploring the controversies that could have threatened his campaign.???
The Alexandria, Va.-based MRC logged every story, sound bite, and mention of Obama on ABC, CBS and NBC evening news telecasts from his first appearance on a network broadcast in May 2000 through the end of the Democratic primaries this past June ??? a total of 1,365 stories.

Comment: Yeah, right. Same factcheck.org that never found truth in the rumor that Obama was associated with any radical black preachers -- until the Rev. Wright videos broke on ABC news. These videos were, by the way, being reported on FoxNews and elsewhere for over a year, and were easily verifiable, before mainstream media outlet covered it. The same factcheck.org that didn't see anything in the Edwards scandal.
    ____________

Great post. See my next one about a new study regarding the media's infatuation with Obama.

Comment: Your Article did not clarify if Rezko DID buy the house next door. What did they pay for their property? The price they each paid on property bought on the same day IS public record. . I understand that Obama and Rezko bought identical property's next door to each other.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't you read? There was NO house next door, it was a vacant lot which MRS. Rezco bought shortly after the Obama's bought the lot and house next to that vacant lot. The Obama's decided they wanted a bigger yard and asked MRS. Rezco if they could buy a strip of that lot. She agreed and she charged them more than that strip was really worth. Then, she turned around and sold the remaining lot to another person. NO house on the lot, period.

I am tired of hearing Obama and McCain...They act like two children fighting over a toy in the sandbox!!! Are these the kind of people we want in office to run this country?? How are either one going to handle Iran or Russia!!!!!

  • Posted By: tiredoflies @ 08/22/2008 8:14:33 PM

    Again we see it plain.

The Republicans trying to lie and cheat their way into the White House.

This Rezko thing was already run through the wringer by Clinton. Any doubt they would have found something if there was something?

And other blog writers adding their flavor to it does NOT CHANGE THE FACTS. They are putting these words down on the blog. It is their attempt to distort the facts.

BELIEVE FactCheck.org BUT DO NOT BELIEVE OTHER BIASED MCCAIN SUPPORTERS WHO HAVE ALREADY SHOWN THEY AND THEIR CANDIDATE WILL LIE TO NO END TO GET INTO THE WHITE HOUSE.
