For all those so called "Christian "right who are so quick to judge others I would give them the same answer that another radical liberal said to another group of self righteous blowhards. That would be Jesus Christ who said "let the first among you without sin cast the first stone". Do I hear any takers out there in the Christian far right field? I didn't think so.

I've enjoyed watching the conservative spin machine go into very successful lie spreading through their standard megaphones on talk radio. But it is a shame that so, so, many Americans believe the "Rushes, Hannities, Becks, and Fox news. When you contemplate the real ignorance of some of our beloved American citizens that elected Bush twice you can stand back and realize that yeah, they would vote Bush in for a third term. There is a lot of racism and ignorance in these posts, but God Bless this great country where you can speak your mind no matter how little grey matter is utilized. People are making decisions on not the facts but spin doctrine, he said she said, lies, misplaced loyalties, and party lines even if it's not good for them or the country. It's a very simple equation to consider, keep things the same or except change.
If you have access to a computer I suggest you find out who Prescott Bush was, I suggest you look at the Governor of California's father and grandfather and whom these persons supported and raised money for.
Follow the money trail to fully understand why Bush keeps saying we've got to bring Osama to justice, yet we never do. Part of their power plan utilizes a boogie man to keep the masses in line. Only after you see the big picture will you understand why the Iraq war was started and whom profits from it. When you find out this truth you will see the game that you've blindly supported and allowed your conservative talk show hosts to shape your ideals to fit their end game. I'm voting for the country this year and I will not support the continued slaughter of our young sons and daughters so the few can profit and keep power. Do not let them continue to sell you the flag under false pretenses and lies. We are proud Americans and we should never allow ourselves to be used in this manner. It's time for America to take the blinders off and do whats right.

Today is the first day i have really believed obama could become president...Biden WILL help make it happen. moving AWAY from how things have been up until now to how the new boss will be different from the old boss, is the way dems will win. i heard an old saying one can't win a mudslinging fight with a pig. they like it!!! there are alot (i dare say most) catholics who are pro-constitution if not pro-life. it is amusing to me that pro-choice is akin to being synonymous with intfantacide but pro-life has never been linked to pro-abuse, pedophilia, neglect, manslaughter, murder, misfeasance and malfeasance,by having incompetents bring life into the world.

The poster who said that Barack did McCain a "favor" by picking Biden is a bit off base. IMHO, McCain is doing a fine job of giving Barack so many "favors" they are hard to count. First, McCain cannot tell you how many houses he owns, now he cannot tell you what kind of car he drives. McCain graduated near the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy; Barack was editor of the Harvard Law Review. What this proves to me is that Republicans are interested in nothing but power and would vote for Elmer Fudd, if he were a Republican. Come to think of it, if you put a plaid hunter's cap on John McCain, there's a strong resemblance. Silly wabbit.

Loved that comment. Biden was my 1st pick for Prez btw. Repugs are scared ****less. I'm sorry, but the crazy right, the racist rednecks, the hypocritical evangelicals are wasting their breath and fingers on this one. Enough have grown up and wised up to the Limbaughs and are so embarrassed by Bush, there may never be another Repug in the White House...errrrrr ...sorry Lil' Elmer ...

I didn't say McCain is not a lame candidate. I said Biden is a lame choice for VP (see my post for reasons).

When the text messages and phone calls went out at 3am about Biden, Obama officially dissed and 'thumbed his nose' at Hillary and her supporters. As a life-long Democrat, I will be staying home in November. Obama made an absolute horrendous mistake. This is no way to unite a fractured Democratic party. With the current shape of our country, Obama should be ahead in the polls by 10-15 points, yet he leads McSame by 1 point. I have lost what little respect I had for Obama. Today, I am one very disappointed and angry Democrat.

McCain already helped block a bill that would have given women more power to fight workplace discrimination. He said the reason women don't get equal pay for equal work is is lack of "education and training." Duh. McCain also once made a VERY crude and hateful joke about Hillary and Chelsea Clinton.

If McCain is elected and continues to undermine everything Hillary Clinton stands for, including equal rights for women, you'll have only yourself to blame.

      • Posted By: SUZE @ 08/23/2008 3:20:58 PM

I ,too, am so disappointed in the Democratic Party. They like the rest of the estalished leadership in this country are so afraid of a powerful, intelligent, experienced woman in the White House- leader of the free world, that they would put their rotten eggs in the basket of a man, whether or not he wins - will lose. A lot of you probably are not old enough to remember the last decent, moral man in the White House - Jimmy Carter. Look back at what they did to him and look at what his own lack of leadership and naivete did to this country. In or out the next four years, this is certainly the death dance of the domocratic party. Amen . Maybe we will someday have a Centrist party that represents most Americans.

I like Carter and I supported Hillary, however all along I wanted Biden as President, so, of course they have my vote. No true Hillary supporter can vote for McCain.

OBama is a class act and picked a class act to run along side him. Its about character. Obama and Biden are both good men. Unlike John Mcain who had multiple affairs and divorced his first wife because she was crippled in a car accident........yeah, that's real classy plus McCain has morphed into Bush the 3rd kissing the feet of all the wealthy....... I'll proudly vote for Obama/Biden

    • Posted By: jjkk @ 08/23/2008 1:29:00 PM

How intelligent a voter are you? Where are your reasons why someone should vote *intelligently* for barry? And every time you mention his first wife in that way you are doing a disservice to her family. Intelligence you don't have. And you're no more "classy" than your words. You are a perfect ambassador for barry. Keep up the good work!!!

      • Posted By: intelligentvoter @ 08/23/2008 1:34:31 PM

I guess McCain Should have thought about his first wife's feelings before he dumped her, but then again, he didn't. Your finger pointing should be at McCain, not me, if you were intelligent you would know that.

        • Posted By: jjkk @ 08/23/2008 1:42:52 PM

He did the deed. But your words are perpetuating it. And where, oh intelligent voter, did you give me an intelligent (or any) reason to vote FOR barry? I'm not a republican so don't use that..

          • Posted By: intelligentvoter @ 08/23/2008 2:23:22 PM

The reason to vote "for" Obama, as I said in my original post, which you keep forgetting, the reason is about character. I'd rather have someone with good character and good judgment be president than a man who commits adultery repeatedly.... Character = for Barack vote FOR good character. Oh p.s. why are you so afraid of airing McCain's past actions, the republicans have no problem pouncing on any perceived misstep they think exists.

            • Posted By: katvan @ 08/23/2008 2:38:32 PM

WARNING: do not try to out word a nonbarrybot, You said it's about "character" and then went on to demean Sen McCain's. You did not, however, back your words up with facts. Not a single one....and still haven't. And had you read jjkk's post, you'd see he's not a Republican.

              • Posted By: intelligentvoter @ 08/23/2008 3:08:29 PM

everything jjkk has posted here is nasty and pathetic. McCain himself admitted to the affairs. What other facts do you need? Oh I forgot, you don't listen to the real news, only the FOX FAKE NEWS.

I think that it is amazing that "character tests" come down to one's sexual behavior. Is having an affair a better indicator of one's character than taking the country into war, helping one's friends by giving them no-bid contracts to supply the people on the front lines, dismissing billions of dollars paid by you and me in supplies for soldiers in the field that never get there as "one of the things that happens in wartime," killing thousands of innocent civilians as co-lateral damage, lying to the country and the world and trying to do something daddy didn't despite the cost ?

Can you help me out here. See I don't know about Sen Obama's judgment cause he really hasn't done much of anything that would give me a clue about it. Unless of course you consider the very calculated way he got rid of all his opposition to win his first state senate seat.....hmmm..........

Oh and by the way, what "judgment" does he show by being the chair of the oversight committee for Afghanistan and not calling a meeting to actually do oversight of the Afghanistan reconstruction?

The senator makes every effort to look "reasonable" but that seems to be as far as it goes. Talk is cheap, actions speak.

SPACER: "obama has shown he's got more foreign policy experience"?
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

JJKK misquoted me. I said that Obama clearly has more foreign policy EXPERTISE than Mccain, as shown by events such as Bush's agreement to the kind of troop withdrawal time table in Iraq proposed by Obama and the Bush administration's use of quick strikes on Al Qaeda leaders in Pakistan without informing the Pakistani government if there wasn't enough time to do it.

Sure, McCain has way more EXPERIENCE than Obama in foreign policy. The problem with McCain is that he obviously has learned very little from his long experience. Obama is a quick learner, and I'm sure he'll learn plenty from Joe Biden. McCain is a slow learner, if he's capable of learning at all.

    • Posted By: katvan @ 08/23/2008 3:14:16 PM

In order to show expertise, one has to have knowledge of/experience with the matter.

      • Posted By: eric0125 @ 08/23/2008 3:42:07 PM

You know, when Iraq and the American forces there agree on a timetable for withdrawal, and American forces are shifting to Afghanistan, and American forces carry out surgical strikes in the lawless regions of Pakistan... ALL OF WHICH Obama called for... it sounds to me like he has knowledge of the matter.

        • Posted By: katvan @ 08/23/2008 4:08:45 PM

hmm, did I miss barry's admittance that the Surge worked and that he was wrong about it?

          • Posted By: justthefactsplz @ 08/23/2008 4:39:33 PM

No. But it does sound like you missed when Barack was against the war from the start calling it "unjust." Had more senators been on the same side at the time of voting, there never would have been a need for a "surge"

            • Posted By: katvan @ 08/23/2008 5:00:44 PM

oh god. not another one. barry "spoke out" but his acts did not follow. his words meant nothing. he did not speak out at the convention in 2004 (against Sen Clinton, Kerry, Biden, Dodd or Edwards) when he had the chance and when he got to the US Senate when his words had consequences - he voted the same as Sen Clinton.

One wonders if there would have been a need for the Surge if Barry actually stood up for what he said - but the fact is he didn't.

So, no, I didn't miss it, even though his "speech for the ages" wasn't covered by the press at the time. I know that it was a politically expedient move that was not backed up in action. Just like campaign financing...FISA...DC handguns, nuclear power, no old washington politics aka biden....

I wonder if that's what barry means by: CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN!

  • Posted By: jfm1015 @ 08/23/2008 12:12:53 PM

I'm a Democrat and have been for 40 years. I am ok with Biden choice by Obama, mostly because I do not want Obama in the white house. Obamas best choice and assured presidency would have been Hillary, but, again he made a bad choice. Obama is a SOCIALIST and anybody who says he isn't, hasn't done their research. Another reason I can't support Obama is that we can't afford to have a Socialist Democrat as president and a largely Democratic Congress. This would not be in the best interest of our Nation, nor our pocket books. I will vote for McCain!

    • Posted By: chrisphx66 @ 08/23/2008 1:28:43 PM

Do you even know what the term 'socialist' means? Whenever anyone wants to pick on Obama, they just toss that word around. You've obviously been reading the Dobson research, not the REAL research. Come on Republikanischers, come up with something original!

Someone just posted that Democrats are now "disallusioned", because Obama didn't obey the will of the defense contractor owed pundits and tact Hillary to his presidency. Is that a plant or what? I agree, bravo Hillary for not be a whiner like some of those bigots pretending to have been her supporters. In truth however, her harrowing experience under Basnian sniper fire doesn't quite rise to the challenges of our current foreign policy needs.

  • Posted By: schaefers @ 08/23/2008 3:43:15 PM

If Hilary truly did not want her (and Bill's) financials dug through, then Obama truly did her a favor by not picking (or considering) her ... but if she wants a major role in his administration (i.e. cabinet position) her and Bill's financials will be under the microscope sooner or later.

  • Posted By: kriegsjk @ 08/23/2008 4:32:09 PM

Obama showed real weakness in choosing Biden. It cuts against his agent of change message and his criticism that McCain has been in Washington too long. Biden has been a senator longer than McCain. Biden also supported the invasion of Iraq and has voted for funding measures to support the war that Obama has voted against. The Republicans are already airing ads showing Biden praising McCain and criticising Obama for not being ready to be president. Biden is also a windbag who is constantly putting his foot in his mouth. What a gift to the GOP

So why do people of faith tend

It's because they use the issue

If you don't want an abortion - don't
have one. You have no right to make
