Research Obama's #1 foreign affairs advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski. Brzezinski has been directly linked to most of the US's blunder's of the 20th Century. (Another questionable judgment decision of Obama)

Brzezinski was an advisor to Kennedy & Johnson. It was he who wanted the increased intervention in Vietnam to stop the USSR from spreading communism. (That war worked out real well - our biggest defeat.)

He was Carter's National Security Advisor. He convinced Carter to hand over the Panama Canal in the Torrijos-Carter Treaties of 09/07/1977 - Noregia come to mind?

Recommended to sever ties with Taiwan (Republic of China) in favor of the People's Republic of China (Red China). Declared that there was "only one China and Taiwan is part of China." (China now OWNS the US)

Planned the CIA's OPERATION CYCLONE (02/02/1979), where the US taxpayers would match Saudia Arabia dollar for dollar to arm the Afghan Mujahideen (OSAMA BIN LADEN and AL QAEDA) to revolt against the Afghan government, insuring a fight with USSR. Brzezinski's plan gave 100's of millions of dollars a year to arm al Qaeda. Brzezinski is credited to starting the Islamic Fundamentalism movement - but felt that al Qaeda would not gain prominence in the Middle East. He also aided Pakistan to subsidizing al Qaeda. (Does 09/11 ring a bell?)

Brzezinski advocated a US invasion of Iran before the Shah was finally ousted. He convinced Carter to allow asylum for the Shah in the US. This action was the direct cause for the Iranian Hostage Crisis of the US embassy.

He planned the Operation Eagle Claw to release the hostages. We all know how that failed and lead to Sec State Vance.

He was responsible for the arms buildup and Rapid Deployment Forces; and the NATO expansion with anti-Soviet policies under Carter.

Brzezinski advocated the Boycott of the 1980 Olympics in Russia. (He has immense hatred for anything Soviet Union.)

As an advisor to Reagan, he served on the CHEMICAL WARFARE COMMISSION, and was a mastermind of the Iran-Contra Affair. (Saddam received HIS chemical warfare FROM the US - he was suppose to use it on the Iranians - not the Kurds.) (Ever wonder WHY the Iranians hate us? You can thank Brzezinski for that.)

Under Bush I, he brokered the B-T-C oil pipeline in Georgia - which is now the center of another saga with Russia.

Brzezinski is hell-bent for the destruction of Russia. Our history is filled with his plans for war with the Soviet Union - and every single one has been costly in US lives and taxpayers' dollars. Just think how this world may have been more peaceful if Brzezinski had not had his influence over our POTUS for 5 decades.

And Obama has chosen Brzezinski to be his number 1 Foreign Policy Advisor. Looks like the end of the world to me.

No matter how incompetent Obama and Biden might be, they will never come close to what we currently have in the White House. In my opinion, McCain would be nothing more than an echo for the Bush Administration, so I'd rather take my chances with whatever the Obama-Biden ticket brings.

I am a lot happier right now than I will be if Obama gets elected.

I guess Barry was impressed during the primaries when Biden described him as "clean and articulate".

Many things I've learned in my life and the greatest of them all is love. One of my sons is a Marine and fights for the freedom of our country. Do I feel ALL the right decisions have been made by our current adminstration, absolutley not. There will NEVER be an Admin who makes all the right decisions. Have I agreed with all the strategies surrounding Iraq, not hardly. But, Iraq had to be dealt with either NOW or AFTER they were more powerful, they WERE coming after the United States. I feel I speak from a heart who loves his family, his country, and all lives. I believe both candidates are good men and have hearts full of love for their families and hopefully their country as well. Living in Arizona, I am partial to John McCain because I've watched him continually try and do the right thing. Every leader will make mistakes, but leadership MUST be placed in the hands of those who are proven leaders. Our country will be at crucial points from this moment forward, we need PROVEN leadership. If there is ONE PERSON who truly believes terrorism will EVER go away, think again! Setting all personal differences aside, I will vote for the candidate who will keep my children and grandchildren safe in their homes.

Iraq was coming after us? Is this just an educated guess or did someone tip you off?

God bless you and your son. My son is a Navy corpsman who is served two tours in Iraq with the Marines.

Oh my God! An articulate thought based on observation and facts and most importantly common sense. After spending a few hours here, I think this may be the wrong forum for you. The children don't play well here. Thanks to your son for his service. Thanks to you for using your head instead of your emotions and partisan dislike to make a choice that you feel is best for the country. Regardless if I agree, everybody here should learn something from your example about what a Blog should be.

I just want to know what language chapion is speaking - I've never heard some of the words. OK now - let's see. Barak isn't a Muslim and Biden isn't a Catholic and no one knows how many legally begotten houses either one of them have. Hmmmm, as if we needed two liars even close to PA Avenue at this time of turmoil in the world. You think you pay too much for gas, groceries and goodies now.....wait until you pay 60% taxes out of your paycheck and still try to get by. Anyone who votes for this lying pair deserves what is coming to them. Adios, anti-christ; I'm voting for a REAL American - McCain. I don't care who his VP is. I wish it were Condoleeza ... she appears to be the only smart woman in Washington.

So does this mean we will see an office like Bush and Chaney, V.P. is really the president seeing how the elected president's limited knowledge of the issues and how Washington and the Goverment works.

Where is my text message? What happened to "you will be the first to know?" This choice broke around midnight and, as yet, silence on my cell phone. A simple promise broken...what happens when it is something more substantive?

funny how the liberals claim that McCain must be rich because of the fact he owns 7 houses. Strange that floyd551wanted clinton as the running mate. i think the reason she was not vetted was the fact she would not disclose her financials. what ever happened to the american dream of getting rich ? McCain has had at least 20 more years than obama to accumulate wealth. Obama is whining because he only made $4 million over 2 years.

I wonder how those two will get along? Obama with his arrogance and facade and Biden with his experience and fairly quick temper. I don't think this a bad choice and I suspect Biden will spend a lot of time "handling" Obama and providing ON THE JOB TRAINING!. Now Obama needs to wonder if folks are voting for Biden or McCain! At least the country is a little safer with McCain or Biden in charge. If Obama/Biden pull this off, I just hope Obama will listen to the elders. Obama's change could never go any further than the "elders" will allow. I think it's a shame that this country would ever place an unqualified, inexperienced and person of questionable decision making ability in charge. We'll see what's next in on the Obama Show!

I really smart choice. Down to earth and well respected by his collegeus, Biden had it right way back when he said Iraq should have been split into three districts with a loose central government. We would be way ahead of where we are now (with little political reconciliation) if we had listened. Can't wait for him to give it back to McCain.

    • Posted By: Ubipetros @ 08/23/2008 10:48:03 AM

I agree. Biden may actually be the one Democrat on the ticket that is qualified to be POTUS. VP pick, regardless of media obsession, will not bring votes for either candidate. Obama could not provide a strong response to the crisis of Russian aggression. (I can't blame him - I don't work while on vacation either - but I'm not POTUS or even applying for the job.). Strange that Barak Hussein Obama's response to McCain not knowing how many properties his wife owns is stronger than his response to the invasion of Georgia. I'm not impressed. But to paraphrase Biden - he is a clean, articulate african-american.

I appliciate what obama selected i think that is good and i wish them much grece, and good sarebletion at the end of election .we are sure that Obama will win the game ,and became a globle leader.

  • Posted By: different1 @ 08/23/2008 9:53:15 AM

No surprise. I am one of those sought after votes. Independent who votes for the candidate, the issues and good of the country. I was leaning Democrat but am now leaning toward the Right. With Russian aggression once again raising its ugly head, the mess in Iraq and Afghanistan I would prefer McCain in the White House making the tough decissions. Obama and now Biden are full of rhetoric with no substance and hopefully that will be relected in November. I am not blind to the fact that America is 13 percent African American and that 12.5 percent have voted for Obama in primaries. He and Biden still need at least 39 percent of the makeup of the other racial groups. Unfortunately the mass media...especially conservative talk radio...has turn this into a vote based on skin color. I agree that is the case in the African American community....after all Obama is the first legitimate candidate to come forth from that community....but it is apparent that the rest of us will have to vote what we consider is best for this great country. Right now I would feel a little safer with McCain in the White House and Obama back in Illinois.

    • Posted By: jkgovitz @ 08/23/2008 10:47:10 AM

I wouldn't feel safe, ever, with McCain, (Bush #3) any where near the White House!.. Please, haven't we had enough of Republicans adding and adding to the coffers of the rich while the low/middle class people flounder and drown? "if you aren't appalled, you aren't paying attention"! Obama all the way!!

  • Posted By: lhummer @ 08/23/2008 10:45:16 AM

Comment: WHEW!!!! I am glad that is over, now the full concertration can be on the issues and defaeating the wealthy guy who does not even know how many houses he owns. I must say, while I would have much rather have seen Mrs. Clinton as the number two, this selection is the second best Obama could have made. It will make the race and chances for sucess, much better-just not as certain as Hilliary would have brought.

Sorry, Floyd, I have to disagree. If Obama had chosen Hillary, McCain would have had a field day. Remember Hillary???s remarks that she and McCain were qualified to be Commander-In-Chief and all Obama had was a speech? It would have been a disaster for the dems.

Biden? The noted plagiarist from 1987? HAHAHAHAHA! It's business as usual. Nixon is the man! He is tanned, rested, and ready!
