Joe Biden said "I mean, you got the first sorta mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," about Barak Obama. He also said Obama is a nice guy, but inexperienced and NOT Ready to be President. Has Joe Biden become an opportunist like Obama?

Obama`s not choosing Hillary Clinton for a running mate could not be better news for John McCain, now we`ll see if McCain has the guts to really expose obama`s professional and personal flaws and really turn this thing in his as well as our country`s favor.  C.S. in Pa.

Yahoo! Dream team, genius pick! WHat a great country we're going to have!!!! Two guys at the helm who share the same fundamental values--wisdom, integrity, humility, and a deep love for their country. The fact that their styles and their backstories are different only highlights the strength of their partnership.

    Obama/Biden 2008! YES WE CAN!!!!!

    • Posted By: busby @ 08/23/2008 7:58:22 AM

      HUMILITY?????????

      • Posted By: Braes @ 08/23/2008 9:20:54 AM

No we want a little (Expletive)-kicking first. Then we want to talk about your lack of patriotism, your church, your race, well... no. We will be decent about beating the R's bad. Acting like a Neo Con is alien to most.

Great Pick Obama. A man who said he didn't believe you were ready for the presidency in the primaries. He also mentioned that the presidency was not a good job for on the job training. Also, a very good friend of John McCain and Hilary Clinton.

Great choice Joe Biden who failed in two election bids for president.. Fabulous choice Joe Biden who did nothing to stop the illegal invasion of Iraq. Wonderful choice that Joe Biden, who couldn't or wouldn't stop Clarence Thomas from becoming a life-long supreme court in-justice. What Biden from the swing state of Delaware looks like McCain -- old snow on the roof, and lots of ear hair-- that's why the revisionist divisionist Obama picked him. Boycott the election. Whether you vote or not you will end up with one of two choices in the White House - Obama who doesn't know what he is doing or McCain who doesn't know where he is. Don't vote and you can't complain or be blamed. American voters deserve what they get.

Your hand cheating on you again?

    a) Change? What happened to the pundits' opinions that Obama would not want someone to step on His message of Change -- the most frequently used rationale against Hillary.
    (b) Surprise? Pop? More like a Dud. I will be surprised if this first, important Obama decision moves the electoral needle in his favor in any of the Red states he needs to convert to Blue. Ohio? Florida? Colorado? Virginia? Missouri? The West? The South? The Mid-West? I don't think so! In fact, the opposite could happen, quickly.
    (c) At some point, the Clintons are going to start distancing themselves from a disaster-in-the-making. They would not be alone within the Party super-delegates. They could offer to give the Convention speaking slots back. They could refrain from speaking ill of McCain, even take his phone calls and hold personal, friendly conversations with him. Let it be known that contrary to rumors, Hillary and McCain have NOT discussed the possibility of being his VP.

Ohh such nonesense. Get the broom.

  • Posted By: thehappyamerican @ 08/23/2008 7:10:10 AM

Now, two babbeling left wing extremos on one ticket! What a reversal! One of the puppet masters now is 2nd to the puppet!? Amazing! Likely that no one else wanted to be VP!

    • Posted By: dflawson @ 08/23/2008 8:57:11 AM

Thank God for that! The more left wing extremos, the better since the right wing extremos have all but destroyed this country.

You want to vote for another Bush, go right ahead. But consider Einstein's definition of insanity:

"Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Unless you LIKE gas prices at $4.00/gal and doubling food costs.

I am over the moon. Two of the smartest and best Democrats. How can we lose?

    • Posted By: Braes @ 08/23/2008 8:56:40 AM

Ok, cheating, voter intimidation, tons of ways. Take 5 friends to vote. report any irregularities. Volunteer to be a poll official. Whatever it takes to keep another Bushclone out of the White House.

  • Posted By: ianakamel @ 08/23/2008 4:28:23 AM

Speaking of the right wing smear machine, what are the chances that posts 3:34:50 AM to 4:05:44 AM (excluding Youlyseas's) were made by McCain's operatives? Nice try guys!

    • Posted By: Braes @ 08/23/2008 8:53:44 AM

100% chance. They have an active Blogreach" effort.

"Biden in some ways is the anti-Dick Cheney. And that's change the party can believe in."

But Fineman isn't a partisan. Rememeber that.

After all the secrecy and mystery concerning who would be Obama's veep, I was expecting someone like JC to appear out of the woodwork and do a few magic tricks like turning water into kool aid or removing the scales from the eyes of working class Republicans, AKA morons, so they would finally understand what they had done by putting into office a fool who allowed bin Laden to take an eight year sabbatical in the lovely mountains of Pakistan by doing his job for him, But it was only Biden, someone you could easily have guessed if left to your own devices, minus all the hoopla. Maybe Obama could have solved all his electability problems, the worst being the Republican dirth tricks department, by choosing Hillary and picking up the rest of her following, but he probably thinks he can do that the hard way and spare himself the baggage accompanying that choice. So it wasn't JC after all, but a mere mortal. No big deal. The top one percent are doing a good job of promoting McBush as their next flunky in chief. Never overestimate what the brainwashed masses will be capable of buying into. On the other hand, if Obama does win, that gives Bush and Cheney only a few weeks to do a scorched earth number on him so he will have to spend his time in office devoted to the hurculean tash of cleaning up their mess instead of running the country, just as they did with Clinton by fomenting tons of hokey litigation so that he would spend his days putting out fires. Whether Biden will be a good partner for that kind of BS remains to be seen..

    • Posted By: Braes @ 08/23/2008 8:48:27 AM

Biden is the bettter of the two, to me. He can handle it.

    • Posted By: Braes @ 08/23/2008 8:45:10 AM

I hope we elect enough people to the Senate to lock out Republican efforts at anything, and reduce them to the party they were after Nixon.

Aug. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Nigerian Stock Exchange Chief Executive Officer Ndi Okereke-Onyiuke is being investigated after holding a fund-raising event linked to U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama, Agence France-Presse reported.
U.S. electoral laws forbid donations from foreigners to electoral campaigns.

Obama keeps reaching back to Chicago political past for policy advisers, and pulling one despicable, vile, and even evil ???rabbit??? after another out of his hat.
The list of Barack Obama???s radical associations is long and it keeps getting longer. Some are now well-known, but many are not. They need to be.

23 years at TUCC with Jeremiah Wright and James Meeks. racist sermons on Youtube.
He chose the most radical church in the country; chose to immerse himself in hard-core ideological radicalism. Never before has this country considered such a radical leftist for its chief executive.

Michael Pfleger and his hateful and race-hating ramblings, Obama met while carrying out his own radical social activism as community organizer at ACORN, (radical organization)

Penny Pritzker, heads Obama camp National Finance Committee was president of Superior Bank - massively failed and she literally bought her way out of jail paying $460 MILLION fine; was the very epicenter of subprime loan scandal??? that would come to eat this nation???s financial system alive.

Fannie Mae CEO Jim Johnson, former head of Obama???s vice presidential selection committee, discovered he benefited from sweetheart loans from subprime king Countrywide.

Tony Rezko certainly and his federal indictments and financial dealing with Obamas of course and William Ayers, US terrorist bomber, Obama-co-lecturer, fellow board member, neighbor, and friend.

Communist Frank Marshall Davis, obama mentor; Saul Alinsky and Gerald Kellman (Kellman???s Woods Fund is how Obama hooked up with terrorist William Ayers)

Chicago lawyer Mazen Asbahi, appointed as Obama camp national coord for Muslim n affairs also stepped down after news about his stint on the fund???s board - which includes fundamentalist imam - prompting The Wall Street Journal inquiries about relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood and his long personal relationship with Hamas Jamal Said.

Obama desperately needs voters to forget hes the son of a Muslim father who served an incredibly brutal and corrupt Kenyan government; to forget he attended a madrassa in Indonesia and practiced Islam; forget that he campaigned in Kenya on behalf of Raila Odinga, who relied upon chaos, corruption, and violence in his campaign; numerous associations with radical Muslims; forget the photographs of Obama in traditional Muslim clothes, hanging with Muslim radicals such as Mazen Asbahi and anti-Semite Rashid Khalidi.

BIden...Business as usual in Washington....so much for change...disappointing.

  • Posted By: FalconX2000 @ 08/23/2008 7:57:10 AM

Biden is immensely qualified and is a great debater. Despite being in Washington so long he has not fallen prey to the problems classic "Washington Insiders" face. He's a great pick.
