Sorry, to remind Webb, Joe Biden was one of the presidential candidates out of 8 or 10 individuals, guess what? The voters said "Obama is the one," besides no one matches Obama's judgement, that is the major job experience for the president. You have to come up with something better than that to put down Obama.

Webb, before you give your expert opinion, please think!

???Saakashvili is sent his tanks to Abkhazia and South Ossetia, so Russia (the peace keeper since 1993) had to send it's tanks to protect the people from Saakashvili's aggression. The logical McCain said we have to punish Russia, which might start "World War III".

Fineman is dead on in this article. Biden was the only Democratic candidate who had the experience and credentials to be President. He is tough, highly respected, and does not suffer fools. He was not nominated because he is not particularly telegenic and the MSM was drooling all over Obama at the starting gate. It is painfully obvious that Obama is almost pitifully deficient in foreign policy and Biden is a good choice. Biden will be able to deal with Putin much better than Obama. Another thing in his favor is that even though he is a lawyer, he never practiced law to any significant extent. This means we wouldn't get a John Edwards with white hair. Biden's major flaw is his loquaciousness and the fact that he never has a private thought. It is almost as if he has Poltician's tourette syndrome. He will have to be scripted and managed and that will be like carrying bullfrogs in a wheelbarrow. Good luck. Biden does offer some level of comfort to people who are wavering on the Obama vote, however, because the enigmatic Obama has yet to identify what "changes" he will institute or what his plans are for the country other than the policy du jour we have been served up thus far.

How does Obama keep talking change and getting away from the same "old" washington politics and then goes out and gets an "old" time "old" Washington politician in Biden? Give me a break, this yo-yo will say and do anything to get the highest office in the world and that is exactly what he's in it for, a power trip and that is it.

Biden: ever known someone who says "lets talk" then he talks on and on and on--finally you try to interject something and hes almost insulted giving you that "excuse me I'M talking" look and keeps on talking---then you finally DO get a chance to say something and he interrupts repeatedly because well he feels what he has to say is more important and intelligent so he feels he has a DUTY to interrupt....what I've described says a lot about a persons character and is the epitome of arrogance!--and its describes Biden beautifully. But then you can't expect too much in terms of manners and congeniality as he is a boy in a mans suit--and a a/c to boot.

First of all intellect has NOTHING to do with being President--a good one or a bad one. Being a "decent person" (which eliminates most lawyers) is a prerequisite...and thats where Biden fails. He'a a lawyer--ever met anyone who says "lets talk" then proceeds to talk on and on and you try to interject something and its like "excuse me I'M talking..then you finally get a turn and he interrupts repeatedly because well--he KNOWS his thoughts are more important than yours. Biden--a boy in a mans suit.

How can Senator Biden bring too much to the ticket...he plagarized, insulted folks and never captured too many votes..does he really have name recognition? Who really knows what is in his closet...truth- if we give him a microphone and 10 minutes he will probably tell us! The man i s aboare and a career politician...not really sure what the dems get here. Also, on the outside chance some crazy does injure or asassinate Obama- do we really want a person who captured less than 2% of the democrats vote leading the country ....this is a bit scary.

McCain has already stated on multiple occasions he will bring us into more wars. He also stated on different occasions he is not against the draft (however his staff insists he is). My question to you is; Are you happy with the economy right now? The Iraq war, along with McCain???s friend/financial advisor (Grahm), is the main reasons the economy is in the condition it is in! How does McCain expect to wage more wars and fix the economy at the same time? It is impossible! We (active duty soldiers) can't even rotate duty stations near the end of the fiscal year due to being over budget. We don't have enough money for the wars we are already in! We don't have enough soldiers to fight more wars. We are already overstretched and doing multiple tours. You make it out of one deployment alive and intact to find out you have to go through it all over again! We do not have enough soldiers for another single war. This means a draft would be necessary. We would need additional money for the soldiers, more weapons, more tanks, more helicopters, more aircraft, more ammunition, more armor, more food, more uniforms etc?????? Take a second to think about our economy after all this! Please don't do this to our country or us soldiers. We are the ones you are punishing. I know a draft seems like a long shot to civilians, but it is obvious to us in the military. We can only do so much with the people we have especially if we are all wounded or dead!!!!! Think about the consequences to everybody. There is a reason the military is donating 6:1 to Obama. We can see the end result of a McCain presidency. You would think military would vote for a retired military war hero, but we are not!! I think we are more afraid of McCain than Bin Laden.
