As an American Muslim and a proud one at that, not only is it dishorable but 100% un-American to have ANY religious tests for office. The forefathers would be aghast at how we've torn apart the Constitution. And it is that lack of intrinsic courage and foresight (all about winning at all costs so not to challenge the bigots amongst us) that has precisely cost Obama his lead recently. He will win when he starts acting like a Democrat in name and action.-

Most people as evidenced on this blog know absolutely nothing about Islam and its DEMAND that followers adher to an extremely rigid set of rules all defined by the Koran and in many cases Imams who would destory anyone who does not accept Mohammed as Gods prophet. To consider having a President of this nation who must put his Islamic faith secondary to his/her political decision-making is ludicrous. THIS is why this country must NEVER have a Muslim President. Its in the Koran - read it. As for Barak Hussein. He was born a Muslim, educated his first 7 years as a Muslim, and has family/friends/colleagues who are Muslim. Not an indicement, but certainly something to be concerned about when 1/3 of the worlds Muslims want to destroy this nation. As for his "Kansas" up-bringing-give me a break. HIs mother was an ahteist, who marriend a muslim, divorced him, moved to Hawaii, and put her kid in perhaps the most elitist school in the Islands. Then he goes on to Harvard, makes milliions, and well, you know the rest of the story. HARDLY a grass-roots childhood, nuturing parents, and historical values that come out of Kansas. He is merely a continuiation of the same old left-wing, socialist leaning, basically anti-traditional American wine in a new shiny bottle of Ripple quality!

I support Obama because of what he brings to the table and what he wants for the country. I wish someone would pick apart John McCains heritage and religious beliefs as they do Obama- its unfair how he has been persecuted in a way by all of the fear mongering. I am not a Christian or a Catholic or a Muslim- I have no religious affiliation because if you want to go there I think Religion is man made and used to mind control and manipulate people. I only used the Bible as a reference because everyone is throwing that around on here. However I do believe in God and I do believe we all should have certain level of morality within us to not treat people this way simply because they are different from us or what we are comfortable with. As for the fact of being a US Citizen- yes I am but people fail to realize being a US Citizen is not a race- I am a white female of Italian, Portuguese, Irish, English decent- my family has only been in this country for 2 generations and I do not feel superior or less superior to people who's families have a longer lineage or a shorter one. I am cultured and do not fear what most Americans fear. I respect other cultures, religions and nationalities for that simple fact even when I do not agree. The sad truth is most American's do not. They posess this superiority complex that has been drilled into Americans since the day we are born. At the end of the day no one person is better than another, let alone no one race or religion- at the end of the day we are all just people- filled with flaws. We should spend more time improving ourselves and less time judging others!
Obama is not a Muslim- and he should not be railroaded and trashed for people to think he is. I wish people would just say the real reason all of this is an issue- a scapegoat issue to cover the one thing no one will truthfully admit- they do not want an African American man as President- I just wish those that were racist would be real about it and say the truth of behind their antics!! -

Pompous news writers often forget that people outside their elitist circles actually act upon what they believe. For the few of us who did not loose the ability to think critically to the TV set. It is frustrating to see how Americans are being misguided by wrong and potentially dangerous premises often peddled by news and nightly live shows. Contrary to what TV says, real Muslims have a low view of Islam Ala Americana; unlike their American counterparts they do believe what the Koran says, Islamic nations MUST be understood in light of the Koran. Since I want my comment to be posted I am not going to quote the various verses in it I find relevant to my statement but I do exhort all Americans (specially those who believe that everybody can just forget about their core values in order go get along) to read the Koran and THINK FOR THEMSELVES.

I am truly disgusted by some of the fundamentalist Christian comments that are so anti-everyone else who doesn't believe just like they do. I agree with the author. So what if he were Muslim? I wouldn't have a problem with that. He could be Buddhist, Muslim, or Wiccan, and it wouldn't affect his ability to preside over our nation!!!
I have lived and traveled in 18 countries on three continents, and some of the most intolerant, uneducated, backward-thinking people I have found live right here in the United States.

Since you keep posting that, you should know that McCain's issue was due to him being born in Panama. However, the Constitution and Naturalization laws clearly say that he and all people born in Panama are considered US Citizens and of US soil. If you have problems finding this information, although it should be widely available. Repost here and I will find you the proper sites with our laws on them regarding issue of being born in a territory.

It is not up to us to change our perceptions,but up to the Muslim communnities worldwide to work and change this perception. we have guilt that we perceive them this way yet it really is not our fault. If they do not care about the worldwide image of terrorists then why should we change our perceptions? It is up to them to work on their image.

Philip J Berg, attorney at law, filed a complaint on Thursday, August
21, 2008, against Barack Obama. The complaint states that ..."Obama does not meet the qualifications to be President of the United States."

Philip J. Berg, Esquire stated in his lawsuit that Senator Obama:
1. Is not a natural-born citizen; and/or
2. Lost his citizenship when he was adopted in Indonesia; and/or
3. Has dual loyalties because of his citizenship with Kenya and Indonesia.
Berg stated: "I filed this action at this time to avoid the obvious problems that will occur when the Republican Party raises these issues after Obama is nominated."

Obama was registered as a Muslim at the age of 6(six) in his new school in Indonesia, which is expected as the male parental figure was a Muslim. Being listed as the citezen of Indonesia is not backed in any way by nationalization/naturalization, it is just what was filled on the form. That should not be his fault, he was a minor.
There are no legal papers to show that he was an Indonesian, just an answer on a form that he did not fill by himself. You would need to do better than that to prove your case in a court.-

I'm not making the allegation. Read the post. Story is from an MSM newspaper...Cleveland Leader. Suit was filed by Phillip Berg...former Deputy Attny. Gen. for State of Pennsylvania. Berg states he has documented evidence to back his claims. TWO separate analysts have concluded the posted C.O.L.Bs were fraudulent.

You are correct he was registered as a Muslim boy for several years in two schools while he was in Indonesia. Somehow he has amnesia now and says he has never been a Muslim. His ex schoolmates and teacher remember him as a Muslim boy. I would have no problem with it if he was just honest about it. Other than that I would like to see Obama's passport with Pakistani entry/exit stamps in it when he was 20, i.e. not a boy anymore.
