This is an historical day!! Today is the beginning of the change of times, and I am extremely happy that we have a Democratic President back in Office!! We need to give him a chance, and embrace his courage to even want this honor in such bad times of our Country...it is time to stop thinking with small minds, and start working together as one!!! We as a country can do this!!!!!!

It's truly a shame that peopel like secora will complain to any idiot that will listen that the media won the elction for Obama. Truth is McCain had no real chance with a down economy, wars on two fronts, and uncertainty everwhere. It is time for new direction in this country and prayerfully Mr. Obama (god jr. as you so cynically called him) will make decisions that will convnce even you that he is genuine and intends to do what is best for this country. I'm sure he'll make mistakes which will only prove that he is not god jr. Complainers always find it easy to question the decsions made by leaders (and the voters too) Such is America and this great land that we live in, (you have that priviledge)

Give Obama a chance. Look at what George Bush has done for us. I hope and pray for Obama because with the current conditions we are in he is going to need a lot of prayer, wisdom, guidance and wisdom to lead this great country we call America.

Because of the media and Hollywood there is no point in voting again. Thanks guys good job I can't wait till this country is more distroyed than it is now. I know when god jr falls on his face no one will notice.

McCain is not Bush. He was a Democrat not ever a Vice president. The House and Senate are Democrate and have held that for 4 years + . Bush did not make this mess....they did. And we voted for the ones that are at fault here. I am not racist...and the only racistism I have seen has been from the Obama followers. Life is what YOU make of it regaurdless of your color! The President does not make all the tax rules, he does not get his vote bought. As do our rep's who are making the laws. The fix for Governmant is to not pay them. Let it be a free gratis job. And no one is aloud to profit from anyway while in office. NO lobbist! That is where our problems lie.

The democrats have been in congress for LESS than 2 years. And since they are in congress BUSH got out his PEN to veto everything when he vetoed nothing in previous 6 years and they got filibuster.
So do you HOMEWORK before you talk. You are the typical republican brainwashed by Fox or Limbaugh or political church........open your eyes, THEY ARE LYING TO YOU!!! and you will see it for yourself!

    To republicans:
Did you hear McCain last night speech?
    Praising great PRESIDENT OBAMA!
Where is the terrorist, the socialist, the communist?

Do you want MORE PROOF that they LIED TO YOU!!!! To get your vote!

They KNEW he is a decent citizen, nothing to be afraid of (McCain s own words) BUT
it is their usual practice to SMEAR, CHARACTER ASSASSINATION instead of
presenting a real agenda. They CAN T present you their agenda simply BECAUSE you WOULD NOT vote for MOST of it, so lies and smears is their path to the WH but....

    IT IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Americans will NOT be intimidated and in FEAR no MORE!!!!

It is time to heal and go forward and it will be the DEMOCRATIC party that will show the way.........

    WELCOME PRESIDENT OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Earlier in the news they had the black pather arrested for voter intimidation; wearing his uniform stating he isn't intimidating anyone. How on God's green earth can you stand there and say that. The uniform itself is intimidating; it has meaning and then waving a baton around yelling Obama for President; come on. If I a white woman was standing on the steps of a poll station with a shaved head and tattoos, yelling McCain for president while waving a baton; the black population would be in an uproar. I however, just want to point out to everyone that this man has the right to free speech; he does not however have the right to make people fear for their lives if they don't vote black. If Obama was a Republican, I would have voted for him; it just so happens that the man was a Democrat. Too bad for the man for having chosen the wrong side.

One racist skinhead cannot generate the fear that they use to, that is why they come in packs (like condoms). My point is one person irregardless of appearance cannot intiminate a group of people. If anyone is afraid of that one person it isn't because of what he is wearing it is because he is not one of them.

Lets face some facts. Politics are about perceptions, not reality. Any person with their wits about themselves can research the issues, then make promises to enlist the support of the masses. Show me an honest politician and I will show you philosopher king. Our country was formed on the simple issues of persuit of happiness, freedom of choice, and fair representation. How many reading this blog have been outside this country to visit a comminist or socialist country? I have! We have our problems here in the great USA, but what I earn, I keep, I do not give it away to "equal the helpless". I choose my career, where I live, and what I do for recreation. You think taxes are high now, wait for the redistribution of wealth to take effect, then look at your retirement fund. Ever stop to think why the "helpless" want to "equal" the wealth? I am an American, I fought in two wars, raised a son as a single parent, and pay my own way out of debt. Show me leadership by example, not by perception!

McCain is not Bush; McCain is for making America strong again and like we used to be. America used to be the greatest nation in the world and we have come so far away from that; McCain is going to make us strong again. He will put more money into our pockets. Bush gave us money. Where do you think those checks came from; the stimulus checks; the tax cuts. All Obama and Clinton did and will do is raise taxes. McCain will lower taxes to the lower and middle class. The working man. I truly beleive McCain will be the best leader we have seen since Reagan if given the chance. I do beleive he should have picke Huckabee as his running mate but Palin did a great job as Governor. Obama has not ran a state and is not a proven leader. I worry as to wether or not he is ready. McCain has fought for our country since he was 17 years old, he loves his country; his patriotism runs trhough is veins and is pumped through is soul; with him as president, I think he will rally everyones patriotism and get it pumping trhough them once again. I think he will get them loving their contry once again. Give McCain a chance.

Oh golly, Auntie-em. Where do you come up with this stuff?? A proven leader? We are electing a real leader, finally. The man has a hugely impressive background and he's managed the best campaign in our history, even according to some right-wing leaders. The guy is impressive and has excited a dazed and disillusioned world. We have real hope...as does the world...that we can make our planet a better place and see our country strive for its ideals as our forefathers wished. Rejoice that we have found such a person, of mixed race, of solid American values, to lead us through these hard times.

SONOR 3001 - If you are referring to the last post, it was not from bstill.

  • Posted By: sonor3001 @ 11/04/2008 7:13:01 PM

bstill I must not have understood your first post I agree with you on that.

  • Posted By: sandawg @ 11/04/2008 6:59:22 PM

    bstill,
The democrats have been in control of congress for two years, not 4+. During the two years that the republicans have been in the minority they have filibustered (obstructed) legislation 92 times and have the audacity to cry "Do nothing congress".

  • Posted By: sonor3001 @ 11/04/2008 6:56:31 PM

ummm...bstill explaine to me EXACTLY how the dem's caused this mess.

  • Posted By: sonor3001 @ 11/04/2008 6:54:13 PM

Wow bstill you really haven't followed the news at all have you? Just because the dems have been in control of the senate doesn't mean a thing. There have been a RECORD number of filibuster's because of the neo-con's. Also I don't call the Farm Bill and GI Bill that McSame did not vote for nothing. Bush has gutted this country plain and simple. Spending 10 billion a month in Iraq is just insane.

  • Posted By: joewicker @ 11/04/2008 6:20:14 PM

    Hey where's Ed Schultz????

  • Posted By: mass1224 @ 11/04/2008 6:08:24 PM

We need to get our county back look at what Bush has done were is he hidding, can we afford four more years if we get onther Bush Admiistration look alike. I do not think so. So our hope is a change.
