I honestly don't believe that Obama's campaign would falsify a story like this. Threats on this man's has to be taken seriously - just as those made on McCain. What this shows is that he's not a coward, neither is McCain. What I'm trying to say is it's ludicrous to dismiss what could have been a successful attempt on this man's life as a ploy, or some movie plot.

It's really intersting that you believe "life immitates art", I always thought it was the other way around. That the plot to the movie, was "immitating life". The question that I would like to present to you is, do you really feel that Obama has some indiscretions that's he's trying to hide? Personally, he's human, so we know that he's imperfect, but ... honestly!
Next, do you really feel that because the amount he donates, or whatever type of relief he's sending to his extended family is prevy to you, that he's not doing it? Also you do understand that the more $ you make, it's financially more beneficial to McCain, because it's a tax write off. But I would like to ask you, how much and what percentage of your income are you donating to charity? It must be nice to be able to afford to give 20% of your income away. I think 20% of my income goes toward paying for gas.
I understand that these are not the "real" reason you are voting against Obama, but they are definitely identifiers that you are using in making your decision.
Pumping up a crowd - honestly isn't there some class that ALL politicians take to learn how to be charasmatic and such. I think just has hard as you find reason to vote for McCain, you should do research and find out what Obama stands for. I mean, honestly the media isn't going to tell us everything. Let's dig deeper and find out.
How many times in your life, have you made a decision and you really believed that what you were doing or going to do was the best thing for you and your (family) at the time. And as time progressed you realized that some changes to that decision had to be made. Now maybe you didn't diverge from it completely but you had to make changes. Now, should your family call you a flipflopper because of it? Or better yet, do you define yourself as a flipflopper, when you decide to "change your mind".

Come on, man. The current oil crisis caused by speculators and Clinton and Gore? What?!? You can't be serious. First, the President doesn't make laws. Conress does. If you think the speculators were allowed to do what they've done because of DEREGULATION, then you can blame your party for that because the Republicans ran Congress under Clinton. And then to say that NAFTA resulted in our jobs going overseas is simply ludicrous. Jobs are going overseas, but to CHINA and INDIA!!! NAFTA is a trade agreement with Mexico and Canada. Get your facts straight. And if you believe Bush had such a great economic plan until the Democrats got control of Congress, then you can only blame yourself and others who think like you for the current decline of this country. Bush's economic plan was pure Reaganomics - tax cuts for the Rich, widen the gap between the rich and poor, and let the magnanimity of the rich trickle down through the economy to buoy up the poor. It was disastrous then, and it is even more so now. In the last 8 years we've seen corporations get huge tax cuts to prop up their bottom line, and how did they respond? By outsourcing jobs overseas and laying off American workers. And the bottom line looked so good that CEOs got huge multimillion dollar salaries at the expense of the worker. And don't kid yourself about Carter. He had a plan to get us off foreign oil dependence as a result of the 1973 oil crisis (remember that? - try to blame that on the Dems - that happened under Nixon's watch), and it would have worked if Reagan hadn't become President and rolled back all the policy that was put in place by Carter. So alternative energies were killed, and we started sucking hard on the mideast oil tit because it was good for business. And if you think we came within 15 minutes of bankruptcy under Carter, brother, you ain't seen nothing yet. The mortgage meltdown and the ramifications of the credit crisis have not been fully realized. This all happened under Bush's watch and was a direct result of his administration's policy. It's LACK OF OVERSIGHT because in his mind corporations and big business can do no harm. Let the market work itself out. Well in this case it does it to the tune of billions that we ALL pay for in the form of government sponsored bailouts.
