In a few weeks we will make a choice that will decide our future.
I follow an economist named Bob Proctor. He has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
Also, he perfectly predicted the current real estate market meltdown and the picture he paints about what will happen in the next couple years
is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
The banks in the U.S. are going under one after the other. Countrywide the largest morgage bank in the world,Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch which are 3 out of the top 5 wall street firms. Also, Fanny and Freddy Mae which hold 50 percent of the home loans in the United States.
The government took them over because they are essentially bankrupt. If they didn't the entire financially system would virtually shut down, the stock market would crash and we would suffer beyond what any of us have seen before.

McCain just like Bush " doesn't understand the economy".
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it but he does not understand exactly what is broken.
It is no surprise that he doesn't. The people that make up these securities use complex mathematical models very few people understand.
Bush and McCain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.

Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks to take huge risks with all of our future.
Now, Phil Graham is the head of McCain's economic policy. He is also McCain's choice for the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time Bush met with his economic advisors was in March. He either didn't care or didn't realize that anything was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say that we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy meltdown in our lifetime.
It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as Bush has done, McCain would be
even more destructive because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a surplus like Bush did but a tanking economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars deficit. Most of it Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got.
When it comes to policy Bush and McCain are the same 90 percent of the time.
So why are the polls even close then ?

The chairman of McCains campaign recently said that people don't vote on issues they vote on a personality composite. Which means he is trying to sell you personality instead of results.

He believes people will vote against their own interests.

Let's teach him we are smarter than that .

Hold them accountable NOW! while it will still help.

    Elect Obama Biden 2008

I commend Senator Clinton on her wonderful sppech last evening. However, as an ardent supporter, I cannot in good conscience vote for a man whom I do not like, do not trust and is both incapable and unqualified for the presidency. In this, we must heartily disagree. I must vote for the person who though not perfect, will protect and defend this country and hopefully negate the damage that has been done in the last 8 years. If the person happens to a Republican, then I as well as millions of others are left with no choice. We will just have to wait for Senator Clinton to run in 2012.

You are the very type of American that feeds the total corruption of the Republican. The war is illegal. We are borowing money to extend our stay where we are not wanted. Barack has been right on judgment, he told them it wa a mistake, he told them he would get them out,, he had a succssful trip over seas until the media fell in with the Republican. All leaders and the troops were impressed and enjoyd the recognition. McBush went someplace no one covered and talked with diplomat. No one call he presumptive only because he just doesn't draw crowds. Obama was strip of the importance of the trip by jealous Republicans and the country fell for this mess they do each four years. McBush it could be a 100 years. McBush tried to threatened Russia and the world knew we didn't havce the force to back up his words. He's incompetent and very dangerous. Obama is intelligent and most of all he listens and doesn't get mad and fly off the handle. McBush does not have the competence to keep us safe, and his friends know it. I don't want a president that travels with an independent to clean up after him. We've had that. McBush can not build relationship.

Honey, honey, honey. She can vote for whoever she wants. Do any of you Obama supporters know what democracy is? If she feels more comfortable with McCain than so be it. You have no crystal ball and you don't know how Obama will do. You don;t even know if YOU'll be happy with him in two years. He will win if he convinces a majority of people to put their trust in him. It's as simple as that. So let up. This is still a free country. By the way I'm a democrat and I don't like him either. So don't call me a republican or a racist. I know it's painful but not all democrats can be made to listen to you. And see, I can be just as nasty and sarcastic as the rest of you. God bless.

For a speech that was supposed to support Obama I think she only mentioned his name like 5 times total.
Michelle looked like she had a lemon in her mouth while Hillary spoke through most of the speech. Too funny! No love lost between those two.

    • Posted By: benluclar @ 08/27/2008 8:31:42 AM

Not a lemon, it's called SOUR GRAPES!
I have never seen anyone who should be showing more restraint than Michelle look so obviously jealous of the admiration for Hillary by a supportive and adoring crowd.
Michelle couldn't get anyone aroused the night before, as they clapped robotically.
Hillary brought everyone to their feet, as usual, showing all what PURE GRACIOUSNESS looks like.
NO WAY, NO HOW, NO OBAMA.

Enter Your CommentSo let me get this. You'd rather vote for a Rpublican that was a cental partner with Bush, remember voting more than 90% with Bush/Cheney. Bush/Cheney both oiil men. What happened in that closed door meeting? Why is it we have no energy policy? Eight more years of abuse of power and incompetence by McBush. Barack is intelligent knows when to listen to assist with his decision making. McBush only listen to the little voices in his head, opens his mouth and then inseet his foot. He will kill us all.

honestly how can hillary supporters say they'll vote for a man who doesnt agree with her on any social or economic policies. way to sell out your own convictions

    • Posted By: benluclar @ 08/27/2008 10:18:04 AM

I will vote for a man who is QUALIFIED to be President and who will show leadership when the DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS fulfills its OBLIGATION to BRING FORTH the policies in this country which are necessary.
I will not vote for a YES-MAN SIDEKICK and a BUMBLING STREET THUG as the leader of the country I live in.

      • Posted By: Honey Rogers @ 08/27/2008 2:31:09 PM

So are you saying that you will vote for a senile old man that is incompetent to even drive. Those in the senate know this. They all know he doesn't have the temperment to lead. McBush will get us all killed opening his big mouth to the Russian who know it was just talk. We don't need his type of experience.
I appreciate his service, but had he not been at the bottom of the class, he probably could have saved himself. Where is the evidence of experience and is that the type of experience we need for yet another eight years, you're crazy. I'm going with the new guy, he's the better of the three Obama versus Bush/McCain. No way, now how.

Senator Clinton delivered a well written speech with great enthusiasm and I commend her and the rest of her supporters that follow her lead. Those that may still feel hurt from the loss and are either unsure or are considering voting for McCain I urge you not to. Look at his record toward veterans, Middle America, woman???s rights, health care, the oil industry, technology, etc. Take a good hard look on how he has flip flopped on his positions from 4 years ago to now, he is more of the same. If you are unhappy as to how our country has been mismanaged over the past 8 years, than you DO NOT want McCain.

As a veteran, John McCain is way out of touch with the professional soldiers. I for one, get sick and tired or hearing about his POW status everytime he is pushed against the wall on some issue. This is what I like know as a Marine. Define winning in Iraq? Why did I have to serve 3 tours? Why did we invade a country against our constitution. Why did our politician send us into a conflict without the proper equipment or enough troops to get the job done the correct way. Why are our veterans getting sub standard care upon returning from the battlefield. Why was Walter Reed Hospital in such deplorable conditions and the President of th USA didn't know about it. I'll tell you why, the incompetents of the republican party and some democrats also.

Why is our economy in such bad shape? Why are our republican politicians lying to the American Public about drilling for Oil that will not reduce gas price for at least 5-10 years? What is our government doing to reduce food prices, reduce foreclosures and stop bailing out these large corporation that were just as incompetent as this current administration. Our elected reps are suppose to be about the people, for the people and by the people. They should not be about the elite few. My god bless my fellow soldiers and the USA.

What Hillary did was show the contrast between her and obama and why she should be the nominee. I'm convince than ever that she was the better candidate and she was cheated out of the nomination. I'm even more convince that I won't be voting for obama.

    • Posted By: benluclar @ 08/27/2008 8:20:56 AM

      I agree whole-heartedly.
HILLARY is PURE CLASS. If anyone did not see that last night, they were blinded by the look of total JEALOUSY on the face of Michelle. She was livid that the crowd was so responsive and receptive to a REAL LADY.
She made Michelle's LIMP WHIMP speech look like it was the night before.
      I LOVE IT! Deserving!

oh blah - nobody is jealous of anyone else; you're looking for something that's not there and you sound Republican for bringing something like that up. I'm gonna listen to Hillary - if she's voting for Obama, then so am I. The dems are a family and you don't disown your family. Hillary would be very disappointed in you.

  • Posted By: Chloe123 @ 08/27/2008 12:19:47 PM

Gullibility is not listed in the psychiatry manual today, but it's pretty dysfunctional in real life. If you fall for just about any used car salesman, or any danceaway lover, or any telemarketer, or any smarmy politician, you're going to make big mistakes. It could cost you your country. It's not surprising that hustlers like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama rise to the top of the Democratic Party. What continues to astonish the saner fraction of the world is the abject gullibility of their followers. If the libs ever wised up, the Democratic Party would have to go out of business. But there's no danger of that. There's another one born every minute. They call them infants, and if they're liberals they never have to grow up. What staggers me is the lib masses -- "masses" is a very Marxist word -- who always come back for more, even after they find out they've been duped again. These are the people who are honestly disappointed by John Edwards's cheatin' heart. They were shocked by Monica's Blue Dress -- but not enough to blame Bill Clinton. He was an innocent victim.

If any Hillary supporters out there are being intimidated by these bloggers who are telling us to do as we are TOLD because we admire Hillary Clinton, think of this:
If the DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS cannot enact, if even present, any policies to ''change'' this country, why on earth would we support a candidate they ''allowed and propelled'' into thieving stardom as our ''leader''?
    Are we MINDLESS, or what?
Nancy Pelosi is a JOKE. She had a big mouth to get elected, then sat as close to George Bush's backside as she could get.
She is a joke, Ted Kennedy is a joke who wants to go out with a bang, John Kerry is a bouffant buffoon and Joe Biden has turned from a statesman with PRESENCE into a yes-man for the street thug crowd.
Democrats ALREADY HAVE THE POWER they need to come up with ideas.
If their ''great'' idea is Obama, I will vote for a Republican to knock some sense into them.

I sat with a group of Republicans last evening and everyone in the group agreed that Hillary was a class act last night. Far above the rest of any speakers thus far at the convention. It was abundantly clear how superior of a candidate she is to Obama. It's not even close. I think that those pledged to her, should still give their delegates to her. She deserves them. Anyone with 18 million votes deserves more recognition than simply speaking at the convention. Let the tide turn. Make this a historic convention and sweep Hillary in as the nominee. It's not too late. Obama does not stand a chance. He is not even in the same league as Hillary. She's playing in the big leagues and he's striking out at T-ball. Rally together ...but rally around Hillary.

    • Posted By: ExDemo @ 08/27/2008 9:54:07 AM

I just wanted to clarify that I was not being a smart a** Republican. I sincerely thought she did a wonderful job. There was intensity and everything in her words, but more importantly she was simply genuine. Not only could you see that in her eyes, but in the eyes of those that were there. There is a fervor and deep-heartedness to the support of Hillary that is just absolutely absent with Obama. And it comes down to the fact that he really is just too inexperienced for all of this. The Democratic party would have been much better served by either having him as VP or him waiting 4-8 years to run. Then he would have something of substance behind him. Again please understand I am not just here to bash Democrats so don't interpret something that''was not meant to be. Hillary was a Stateswoman last evening, a true leader, a professional. And like her or not, she is without reservation a much better candidate than Obama. Some of you got caught up in the Obama excitement because it was something different than this country has seen. Last night was evidence of why you may have gotten it wrong and I'm trying to be polite here, But you really could do something extraordinary...unheard of. Back the candidate that you truly believe in. This is the best chance you have had in years. Hillary is poised, ready, very much a Presidential candidate. Obama should be watching and learning and graciously do the right thing and step aside. And NONE of this has anything to with McCain, Bush or any other Republican. I am simply trying to affirm what I saw.

  • Posted By: treetracker @ 08/27/2008 9:20:21 AM

Wow, "you no way Obama" groupies - that's the way to show respect for Hillary, isn't it? Apparently, none of you heard what she had to say - getting a Dem in office (who's policies are nearly identical to her own) is more important than who that person is. So I guess you want 4 more years of tried and true failure than any attempt to get this country moving on the right track. She was a class act last night and had she shown this during the primary, she would have been nominated. She chose the wrong strategy - her mistake. Someday she will probably be President, just not this time. If her supporters don't get on board, she will be blamed for causing this rift in the first place and the other 18 + million who did not vote for her will remember it when her time comes again. It's time to be pragmatic and get rid of these morons in the White House, not replace them with more of the same.

    • Posted By: benluclar @ 08/27/2008 9:23:02 AM

I ADMIRE Hillary Clinton and SUPPORT her.
But I will not FOLLOW her into the depths of a moron who has no leadership capability to put any WORDS into ACTION.
Obama is in support of HIMSELF. He represents HIMSELF. He is FOLLOWED by morons.
An EXPERIENCED Republican is a better choice.

  • Posted By: benluclar @ 08/27/2008 8:43:37 AM

The media before Hillary's speech and after her speech still project her as a strategic and calculating manipulator. They do not see or hear the heartfelt purpose or the QUALITY she represents and exudes. It is infuriating to me.
The night before, how the media gushed and cooed over Michelle, who looked like she was giving her first book report in high school, gushing all over the place like a schoolgirl and trying to act like she was ''nice''.
A REAL LADY does not have to be SOLD to us by the media.
It was obvious last night that HILLARY CLINTON IS A REAL LADY. And a QUALIFIED one.
NO WAY, NO HOW, NO OBAMA!

  • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 08/26/2008 11:34:47 PM

She was fabulous. Let's win this election and say sayonara to McBush. "No way, no how, no McCain!"

    • Posted By: neda @ 08/27/2008 1:46:07 AM

She was fabulous. The contrast between her and obama is unbelievable. The dems have made a big mistake electing obama. It still amazes me that no substance obama will be nominated over her. She still has my vote. It is sad to see her put aside by the hope, change, unite, rhetoric no substances obamat!!! We deserve better than obama and again, Hillary tonight showed us why.

      • Posted By: benluclar @ 08/27/2008 8:26:33 AM

Yes she was exactly what we have supported and WHY. She represents the poise and grace and class that Americans DESERVED as a candidate.
NO WAY, NO HOW, NO OBAMA!

  • Posted By: C. MacLean @ 08/26/2008 11:45:54 PM

She did everything she was supposed to do, and more. The best part of her speech was when she asked her supporters if they were in it for her, or were they in it for some of courageous people she described.

Anyone who is a true democrat would have to acknowledge they supported the ideals, not the person, no matter how beloved.

    And she roasted McCain.

    Well done, Hilary.

    • Posted By: benluclar @ 08/27/2008 8:24:33 AM

That was the only mistake this fantastic woman did. YES, we were in it for HER. Because she is EXPERIENCED, is POISED, and has the QUALIFICATIONS to be a President.
No WAY, No HOW, No Obama.

Families have internal squabbles, but when the going gets tough, they stick together, and the Democratic family will stick together to throw out (and hopefully prosecute) this traitorous band of thugs currently occupying our White House.

    • Posted By: benluclar @ 08/27/2008 8:18:27 AM

The "thugs" are what Hillary is asking us to now support.
She is 'pure class', but I will NOT follow her in this.

  • Posted By: Flash Drive @ 08/27/2008 12:08:50 AM

It is now time for Obama to recipocate , if not he is not going to persuade many indepentent and undecided voters to vote for him.
Lets stop all the rhetoric , what is now needed is substance. Obama needs to sell himself as to why we should vote for him. Let the game begin.

      "Substance" to Obama?

all of a sudden we are families but during the primary we were the scum of the earth. Well, don't count on this dem's vote this fall. Hillary demonstrated more than ever she is a mile high better than no substance obama and should receive the nomination. not only that, michele is going around playing the race card, telling people that they will be portrayed as people who look different. News flash for the obamas, we know you are all are black. We can see that
