Comment: What if our objection to a person is based not on their race-sex-religion-orientation-etc. but on their beliefs/ideology/speech/actions? What if we think, based on what they say, do , and inspire others to do that they're just evil incarnate..(.regardless of their age, race, etc. etc.)? Regardless of what they claim their religion to be? Yet when we say, "I think John McCain is just evil for the things he's said and done," we're accused of "age\ism".

nobody, especially the rich, should get subsidized by the gov.t not rich oil companies, not wealthy who legally hide a hundred billion dollars overseas to not pay taxes, if these people are patriots and give a *** about this country or others, mccain is maverick and bush is genius and just a good ole boy....none ot these are true, obviously.....when pendulum swings so far to help top 1% who won't even notice a tax increase, then at least help growing poor in this country, govt. is lying their ass off, with NEW accounting when local food pantry has no funds, renters cannot afford rent, look at the situtation "on the ground" like petraeus and dumb asses number one and two bush and mcbush.....would like to say over and over....for their own edification.....better yet, take a trip to NO and actually leave the french quarter, if you are not afraid of a little gunplay and drugs and hookers....I am sure these people think surviving is a little more important in our "democratic" country than rich buying another jet.....to go to cannes or wherever the hell rich crappy excuses of human beings waste of flesh like cheney/bush/mcbush who owns more homes then he can count on both liver spotted hands....

BAMBI probably did not think about the presidential office possibility when he wrote the book "Dreams From My Father" as it is laden with racist categorizations.

Obama catagorizes people according to skin tone, as some are olive, pale, walnut, etc. Almost to the point of being laughable, if it was not so pathetic and scary. The last person to be that race obsessed in power started freakin' WWII and murdered millions of innocent people.

My husband and I sat down one night and began counting how many times Obama used racial catagorization or referred to race in his book Dreams From My Father. There are racial references made 179 times in the first 110 pages.
We got sick of counting at page 110 and sick of reading Obama's racial trashing.

So what's up with the Eskimo Hating? Who knows. Obama is obsessed with skin color. As I said before I feel compelled to study this because my son has blue eyes. 'Nuff said.

My point being is: I really do not think BO had his sights on the presidency when he wrote this book, as The Audacity of Hope is toned down from Dreams From My Father. Obama does include in Audacity that the Constitution could use a little improving.

My point is further made by the fact that the Obama for President Website censored the guy that posted direct quotes from Obama's books within 36 hours.

Obama's minions are banking on the fact that the bulk of the American public will rely on CNN for their information. That and most people are to stupid or busy to pick up Obama's book, as the liberals will just buy it so it's on their bookshelf and they can say they read it.

The truth is the truth and the words that the guy posted were written by Obama.
Obama has several "composite" figures in his book. The black nationalist "Rafiq" comes to mind. But in reading Obama's book, I get the sense that it is almost a conversation with himself. Obama is too fluent in the case of Black Nationalism for my comfort.

Comment: When you hear the comments from the "flyover states" your skin fairly crawls. These Americans in their naivete will vote lockstep for the same regime and thinkers that have driven the country to the brink of insolvency. These are the same kinde of people who voted NIXON back in office even though is was obvious and clear to most logical folks that he was a bad man, a bad president and a person of low moral ethics. But they put him back in office after a disastrous 1st term, high inflation, gas lines, an unwinnable war that he continued so he could win a 2nd term, homeless in record numbers, corporate crime soared. But he was a white conservative man who preached fear of their neighbors, Christian this and Christian that, and Black people are out to get you. Yep, go to bed tonite thinking that there'll be pigsfeet and hiphop in the White House and all Black people are out to steal from you. Elect McCain back in office and you wont HAVE ANYTHING LEFT TO STEAL.
Pogo was right, the enemy is us - not me, but my fwllow Americans, whose generation will go down in history for being the most stupid ever.

Comment: I am not at all sure that wondering whether John McCain is too old to be president constitutes ageism. At a certain point we take drivers licenses away from old people for the good of everyone on the road. The mental and physical demands placed on the president are enormous, and it is perfectly reasonable to wonder whether McCain is up to the task.

I still believe we need to constantly be vigilant against the encroachment of communist ideals because they create vast power for politicians at the expense of freedom for the common man. But I acknowledge there is some good from social security of course I would love to privatize it as the government has woefully mismanaged it. Social security is the only trust I have ever seen that is not invested in anything but instead spends almost every dime it brings in on current political needs that have nothing to do with its original purpose. The unions served a valiant purpose at the turn of the century but they also have led to the collapse of American Auto industry. Communism will always fail when there is an innovative force competing with it.

Comment: Since you are Christian, I it is likely that "image of god who happens to be running for the office of president of the United States" would be McCain, since he is of the right wing, and God knows, no "stinking liberal" can be the image of God. And since the Right and it's handmaidens in the churches has appealed to racism and bigotry to win elections, I cannot see a God-fearing Right-winger voting for anyone of color, or who is female.

Having said all that, I still like the anecdote told about Rabbi Nachman. Wouldn't it be great if all those "Christians" who espouse hatred for all those who are not white, male, or Protestant, or Americans began to operate from that basis? It would be a glorious world, indeed.

Comment: Wow the best case yet for the Messiah rumors.

Racism will be dead when a qualified candidate for president is measured on his accomplishments and not his speeches. When people can openly challenge his or her ideas based on the merit of the argument without being accused of racism.

I think Obama has made great strides towards a society blind of race and willing to look at the man and I commend him for this. Of course when we get beyond his speeches the man has no substance. no accomplishments, no experience, A love for Marxism and its tenants, His wife spoke from Saul Lewinskys book in her speech and attributed the quote as her favorite quote from her husband.

This Image of God is tarnished like the rest of us quit treating a charleton as the Messiah.
