Comment: WHEN THE LIBERAL ELITE "MAIN STREAM MEDIA" INJECTS ITSELF INTO A NATIONAL US ELECTION, IT LEADS TO THE "LAW OF UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES"

IF THERE'S WAS NO "MSM" BIAS AGAINST HILLARY, HILLARY WOULD BE THE US PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE AND OBAMA WOULD BE THE VP CANDIDATE

IF THE TICKET IS CLINTON/OBAMA.....THERE IS NO SARAH PALIN EFFECT

IF THERE IS NO SARAH PALIN, THERE IS MCCAIN/ROMNEY REPUB TICKET

THEREFORE, THERE WOULD BE 8 YEARS OF CLINTON/OBAMA ADMINISTRATION

THEREFORE, THERE WOULD BE 8 YEARS OF OBAMA/KEANE ADMINSTRATION

BY US LIBERAL ELITE MEDIA BACKING OBAMA AND TRASHING HILLARY, THEY LOSE A POSSIBLE 16 YEARS IN POWER AND WILL PROBABLY NOW LOSE 8 OUT OF THE LAST 11 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS.

FOR YOU MR. WOLFEE, NO AMOUNT OF OLBERMANN/MADDOW HISTRONICS CAN CUT THROUGH WHAT THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD ELECTORATE SEES IN THE "MSM"

    Comment: RICHARD WOLFFE:

Here's another argument that the Obama campaign won't make in public but that nonetheless could halt the wedge strategy in its tracks: the impeachment of Bill Clinton. McCain voted for Clinton's impeachment???a track record that should make him hard for diehard Clinton supporters to stomach."

There's nothing you won't do - no level you won't descend to to help your messiah is there? That's the scummiest thing yet from all you cult followers. And you write:"The Obama campaign won't make in public". You just did. Newsweek is part of the Obama camp. You are the proObama propaganda newsletter. The fact that you still don't Include a disclosure of your proven beyond a shadow of a doubt corruption shows you lack any semblance of jjournaliistic integrity - just like everyone at Newsweek and MSNBC.

Comment: Hello, I have a plan to kill the electoral college in November. It's posted on my web site. I wonder how much you and everybody really care about fixing our broken politics and really doing some good for our nation.

This is no joke or pipe dream, I've researched it and it is possible for us to kill the electoral college this November if we as Americans do what is needed, which is just one thing, vote for the idea and watch it happen. I put myself out to be the tool to get this done for every American that has complained saying we need to get rid of this electoral college and start voting only for the candidate we want as our president.

I turn to you cause you are talking to the American people, my voice is not being heard will you lend yours to getting this done?

Comment: Once again the Republicans have made a very aggressive move to manipulate voters??? opinions based on emotions, while keeping their positions on the issues out of scrutiny. If the voters are once again, like in 2000 and 2004, swayed based on appeals to their emotions, prejudices and biases or by any single issue and neglect putting full consideration and weight on all of the issues, we could end up with four more years of nothing but more of the same. Imagine more of the same. This country really just can???t take more of the same and voting for John McCain-Sarah Palin, for whatever reason, just guarantees more of the same!

Comment: All I can say about McCain's choice is "Are you out of your F***ing mind?". That has to be the most outragious and demeaning gesture any goof ball politician has ever made.

Do you really have such disregard for the American woman that they won't see this as a ploy to get their vote?

Do you have so much disregard for the intelligence of the American woman that you think they can't see what you are trying to do?

Do you have so much hate and disregard for the American people that you would even consider putting someone with absolutely no experience in an office that could by a great deal of statistical probability take over in the event of your death?

Is your level of reasoning so far over the hill that you can even imagine that she would be able to handle any of the problems facing this country in the likely event you won't survive your term?

I don't know about anyone else, but this is definitely the straw that broke the camel's back for me. This man is senile and unable to rationally approach any kind of reasonably intelligent decision concerning the fate of this country. Any one that votes for this ding dong, is going to get exactly what they deserve, but what the rest of the world has done nothing to deserve.

John McCain Selects Alaska Governor Sarah Palin As Vice Presidential Running Mate

ARLINGTON, VA -- U.S. Senator John McCain today announced that he has selected Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate and to serve as his vice president.

Governor Palin is a tough executive who has demonstrated during her time in office that she is ready to be president. She has brought Republicans and Democrats together within her Administration and has a record of delivering on the change and reform that we need in Washington.

Governor Palin has challenged the influence of the big oil companies while fighting for the development of new energy resources. She leads a state that matters to every one of us, Alaska has significant energy resources and she has been a leader in the fight to make America energy independent.

In Alaska, Governor Palin challenged a corrupt system and passed a landmark ethics reform bill. She has actually used her veto and cut budgetary spending. She put a stop to the "bridge to nowhere" that would have cost taxpayers $400 million dollars.

As the head of Alaska's National Guard and as the mother of a soldier herself, Governor Palin understands what it takes to lead our nation and she understands the importance of supporting our troops.

Governor Palin has the record of reform and bipartisanship that others can only speak of. Her experience in shaking up the status quo is exactly what is needed in Washington today.

Comment: McCain has done this knowing that he might have a possibility with the Clinton supporters. Palin had to read out her resume today.
She had to mention Hillary. Palin's proclaim of detachment from foreign oil by drilling in Alaska is absolutely futile and only makes more money for the big oil companies. I hope Americans realize that drilling offshore or in Alaska proves nothing to detach from foreign oil. Look at McCain's face light up when she mentions Hillary's supporters.

Comment: John McCain just made a gutsy and smart move with his pick for vice president; not gutsy because it was a woman but rather gutsy because it was an unknown and smart because it was a woman. He has been trying to cultivate those Clinton supporters not yet reconciled with Obama and he intends for this move to help him there and with women in general. He has been getting static from his extremely conservative base and Gov Sarah Palin, being a strong conservative advocate, could appease them. Once again the Republicans have made a very aggressive move to manipulate voters??? opinions based on emotions, while keeping their positions on the issues out of scrutiny. If the voters are once again, like in 2000 and 2004, swayed based on appeals to their emotions, prejudices and biases or by any single issue and neglect putting full consideration and weight on all of the issues, we could end up with four more years of nothing but more of the same. When you look around at the economy, the deficit, the jobs, the cost of medical, the War in Iraq, the needs in Afghanistan and Pakistan, the progressive decline experienced in all of these things and everything else and the embarrassing and costly gross dishonesty of our government, I don???t know how the issues can be ignored, yet it has happened before. After Obama???s great speech last night and the impressive Democratic convention, the Democrats and Obama, with regard to all of the issues and their plans and positions, are well known. We also know McCain and the Republican???s plans as we can look at the last eight years and at everything McCain says, which strongly commits to just more of the same. Imagine more of the same. This country really just can???t take more of the same and voting for John McCain-Sarah Palin, for whatever reason, just guarantees more of the same!

Comment: Everyone knows McCain made this last minute judgement knowing Obama did'nt select Hillary. Hillary herself has stated she did'nt want to run, so Palin is still far behind in comparison to Biden.

        Comment:
With this pick McCain gets TWO FOR ONE. . . Sarah Palin is a reknown successful Governor in Alaska and has turned her state around. With her respected and proven background, she will be a huge plus towards turning the economy around. . . AND she is a woman. . . Great ; 0 D LOL

Comment: You think McCain's choice of Palin will focus on women's issues? Haha. that's a huge laugh.

Here is what someone wrote in comments on the Washington Post website today:

Sarah Palin is in no way, shape or form anything of the stature and experience of Hillary Clinton. Most of her supporters will gladly vote for the Obama-Biden ticket. A formidable team, with complementary skills and capabilities, who inspire courage, optimism and respect around the world.

Contrast that with a 72-year-old man whose health is not robust, coupled with a 44-year old church lady with five kids and ZERO overseas travel, no foreign policy credentials. Guess who will be calling all the shots? McCain!

We will be the laughing stock among our enemies - easy target for picking off our president and allowing a totally shallow, inexperienced church lady to become our President.

All for the sake of the Religious Right and the option to drill in Alaska. Once again, the GOP putting us in jeopardy with a misjudged choice and greed to appease the major oil companies.
    _________________

McCain-Palin will be a disaster. Nobody in their right minds will vote for an aging President coupled with a token female who's only there to allow drilling in ANWR. She won't champion equal pay for equal work, women's rights or anything remotely connected to Hillary Clinton's platform/interests.

She will be another Church Lady. Where is Dana Carvey? He did such a good job on Bush Sr.

Comment: Women???s issues and alliances would not be need if we turned from our lifestyle of building military weapons, manufacturing, processing, and transporting food, goods, and people around the world to creating a garden paradise that supplies our needs in our communities. God's original plan is ours when we want it and release the past polluting, bondage and stress producing lifestyle behind.

Barack Obama would be a charismatic leader who would make us prosper like Bill Clinton did; but we would still be working away from families, buying insurance, dealing with daily stress of child care, college tuition, sons in military, conflicts over abortion, homo-sexual marriages, and religion. There is no change we can believe in here. Other candidates are the same. Another leader can arise if we want one.

Search you will find. The same money machine which worked for Obama stands to gain from him. From what? from his sleazy promise of going energy "independent" by investing 150 billion into renewable energy market. Who are these people behind obama, the same people from the time of Silicon Valley Internet boom, which left millions of retiress poorer exactly by the end of Clinton Era. So if it was internet bubble at the time of Clinton and oil energy bubble with Bush Cheney. ... wait till you see the next bubble.... with the pumping of 150 billion dollars into sham projects. I just have to post this theory since that is one way I can keep my consceince clean. Thank you. I don't mind if Republicans run with this idea and revelation.

Comment: The problem for McCain is his "Judgment", if he really had superior military insight, he would have never agreed to go to Iraq until Afghanistan was "mission accomplished". If mccain would have wanted to defeat Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, where they make base and train, if he would have wanted to actually bring BIN LADEN to justice, if MCCAIN has TRUE judgment, he would have stood on the floor of the Senate and said "WRONG WAR WRONG TIME!" We would have "WON" in Afghanistan, instead of "cutting" our ability to supply more troops and "running" to Iraq, for a "WAR FOR OIL" and for the bush ego.

If McCain had done that, there would not have been a "SURGE" required, AT ALL. thousands of Iraqis and hundreds od Americans would have been saved...but NOPE! McCain and BUSH wanted to go to a country that NEVER ATTACKED THE US, and star another war, and now MCCAIN AND BUSH want to go "bomb Iran, bomb bomb Iran". before Afghanistan or Iraq are clear...and you call that a "military mentality", you call that "Judgment"?

In 2007, they tried to pull the oil subsidies out of the 2005 energy bill, and replace them with incentives for alternative energy. Hillary and Barack were there to support it. McCain would not support it, and would not even show up.

He wouldn't participate in ANY energy votes in the last 2 years, so don't pretend to care about energy!

        ASSOCIATED PRESS
Critical of McCain, Obama QUIET on own Energy vote
        By TOM RAUM

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) - Democratic candidate Barack Obama criticized Republican John McCain on Tuesday for taking a page out of the Cheney playbook on energy, overlooking his own support of oil-friendly policies that the unpopular vice president helped to craft.

Vice President Dick Cheney, a former oilman, early in the Bush administration helped draft an energy policy that Obama asserted is biased in favor of tax breaks and favorable treatment for big oil. Obamas remarks were an attempt to capitalize on Cheneys unpopularity.

President Bush, he had an energy policy. He turned to Dick Cheney and he said, Cheney, go take care of this, Obama said. Cheney met with renewable-energy folks once and oil and gas (executives) 40 times, Obama said. McCain has taken a page out of the Cheney playbook.

In stumping Tuesday in this key battleground state, Obama sought to link the troubled economy with Republican policies and offer his own energy plan in contrast. He has tried to cast McCain as more concerned about oil company profits and drilling than an overall energy strategy.

However, OBAMA HIMSELF VOTED for a 2005 energy bill backed by Bush that INCLUDED BILLIONS IN SUBSIDIES FOR OIL and natural gas production, a measure Cheney played a major role in developing. MCCAIN OPPOSED THE BILL on grounds it included billions in unnecessary tax breaks for the oil industry.

The Obama campaign has said the Illinois senator supported the legislation because it included huge investments in renewable energy. McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds, said, Barack OBAMA IS OPPOSED TO OFFSHORE DRILLING AND IS ALSO OPPOSED TO ADMITTING THAT HE VOTED FOR THE SAME CORPORATE GIVEAWAYS FOR BIG OIL THAT HE IS CAMPAIGNING AGAINST TODAY.

With polls showing concern over gas prices a prime concern of Americans, Obama has been depicting energy as the nations most pressing national security and economic issue.
Obama has proposed a $1,000-per family energy rebate to be paid for by a tax on excessive energy-company profits. He called for ending U.S. reliance on oil from the Middle East and Venezuela over the next 10 years, a project he said would cost the U.S. $150 billion.

Obama has also proposed borrowing oil from the strategic petroleum reserve as a short-term measure to reduce gasoline prices, a conditional and limited resumption of offshore drilling, and a new emphasis on alternative energy sources and hybrid vehicles.

Comment: Our economy is in turmoil, I do not have to tell the people of Youngstown, Obama told a high-school gymnasium audience in this rust-belt city. People here have known some hard knocks and hard times.

Ohio is a bellwether state, having voted for the winning candidate in all 11 presidential elections since 1964, including handing Bush a close re-election victory in 2004. Increasingly, with his appearances this week and with a new ad, Obama has been seeking to tie McCain to the oil and gas industry, although McCain, unlike Bush and Cheney, did not previously work in the industry.

(Continued from my post above) - Critical of McCain, Obama quiet on own energy vote

A new Obama ad says Big Oil filled McCains campaign with $2 million in contributions and that he wants to give them another $4 billion in tax breaks. That $4 billion consists mainly of potential revenue from a McCain proposal to lower corporate taxes on all American businesses.

The McCain campaign pointed out that the ad does not mention OBAMA HAS TAKEN SOME $400,000 FROM OIL COMPANY EXECUTIVES. We have to end the age of oil. Obama said. If we fail to act, there are severe indications for national security, our economy and our environment.

OBAMA has had TROUBLE CONNECTING WITH WHITE WORKING-CLASS VOTERS, who are a major factor in Ohio. Clinton won the state in its Democratic primary earlier this year. Gov. Ted Strickland, who had been a Clinton supporter, gave a rousing endorsement of Obama, calling him bright, young, energized and compassionate. Obama is focused on economic issues. He said that oil giant Exxon-Mobil makes in 30 seconds what the typical Ohio worker makes in a year.

Obama said, We need more jobs and economic development. Why dont we focus on clean energy and reopening factories and putting people back to work? Nobody is benefiting from jobs that are leaving the community, he said.

Obama has proposed a $15-billion-a-year program to help promote clean-energy jobs.
In a question-and-answer session, Obama was asked if he would support term limits for members of Congress by a questioner who noted that many senators were elderly.
Obama said I've got colleagues in the Senate who are doing absolutely outstanding work, and they are well into their 70s, Obama said. He praised ailing Sen. Edward M. Kennedy as one.

I am generally not in favor of term limits, he said. Nobody is term-limiting the lobbyists or the slick operators walking around the halls of Congress. I believe in one form of term limits. They are called elections.

If Barack was so concern then why did he support the bill when John McCain opposed the energy bill of 2005? So are we trying to say Obama cares about energy when he supported the bill in the first place? Why should McCain show up to undue what Obama and Bush have done.... maybe you should be more concern why the democrats went on vacation with out giving a up or down vote on the current energy policy.. ... read below... here is the link .... http://www.grist.org/news/muck/2005/08/08/little-energy/ notice that half of the democrats voted for this energy bill and now they are crying foul....

Senate Energy Committee ranking member Jeff Bingaman (D-N.M.) beamed that the post-conference bill has "many more bright spots than flaws and deserves passage by the Senate and signature by the president."

Harder for progressives and enviros to swallow was the support it got from Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), who expressed disappointment that the bill wasn't more bold but still went so far as to call the legislation "a first step toward decreasing America's dependence on foreign oil." It could more credibly be described as yet another step toward subsidizing Illinois corn farmers for ethanol production that will be of dubious environmental benefit.

Bingaman and Obama were far from alone: Over half of the Democratic caucus in the Senate voted for the bill. Most of these yea votes came from senators whose states stood to benefit markedly from the subsidies, while most of the nay votes were cast by senators from non-energy-producing states.

Critics argue that this split among Dems wasn't just a practical failure that gave way to shoddy energy policy; it was also a symbolic failure for the Democratic Party at large.

Comment: Good question, he can't, all politicians make promises during their campaign that they cannot deliver. The legislative branch has the most power of all three branches of government. You can't blame Bush for the war in Iraq when congress gave him the authority to invade that country. The scapegoating that occurs among these political candidates really needs to stop, they are basically all in bed together and frequently cooperate to screw over the average american citizen. Obama is no different, a little research will reveal that he supports the NEOCON agenda to expand the military industrial complex, so does Biden. Hillary did not and I supose that is why she is not the presidential nominee for the democratic party. Open your eyes Americans!

Just make sure you talk to Obama about Obama's solutions and not FOX or the Republicans.
Make sure you talk to McCain about McCains solutions and not the Democrats.
Then check the facts on both sides.

Two recent bills that I recall were. You can go to any of the voting record sites, and see what each candidates voting records are.
      Ledbetter Fair Pay Act (2007?)
      Paycheck Fairness Act (2008?)

You won't wake up one day and find that all of the sudden everything is fixed, but if this is an issue you are concerned about, you should care about legislation that involves things like court rulings under certain circumstances where, for example, a woman is just as qualified in terms of training, and experience, but makes less money than a male coworker. Typically this would be sueing for damages.

If the laws work, then over time, as women change jobs, they should be offered more fair salaries, and in some cases companies would make sure they are paying women fairly to avoid future lawsuits.

As far as I know, Obama has supported legislation that amends the Civil Rights Act, which is typically where this stuff falls under, that tries to solve equal pay issues directly.

In general, McCain has come down on the stance that women will get better pay by getting more education and training, as he appears to view it as an issue that women just aren't as well qualified as men, so that, in his opinion skews the statistics..

Barack Obamas for Equal Pay, Yet Pays Female Staffers Less Than Males
        Monday, June 30, 2008

On average, women working in Obamas Senate office were paid at least $6,000 below the average man working for the Illinois senator. That's according to data calculated from the Report of the Secretary of the Senate, which covered the six-month period ending Sept. 30, 2007. Of the five people in Obamas Senate office who were paid $100,000 or more on an annual basis, only one. . . Obamas administrative manager - was a woman.

The average pay for the 33 men on Obamas staff (who earned more than $23,000, the lowest annual salary paid for non-intern employees) was $59,207. The average pay for the 31 women on Obamas staff who earned more than $23,000 per year was $48,729.91. (The average pay for all 36 male employees on Obamas staff was $55,962; and the average pay for all 31 female employees was $48,729. The report indicated that Obama had only one paid intern during the period, who was a male.)

McCain, an Arizona senator, employed a total of 69 people during the reporting period ending in the fall of 2007, but 23 of them were interns. Of his non-intern employees, 30 were women and 16 were men. After excluding interns, the average pay for the 30 women on McCains staff was $59,104.51. The 16 non-intern males in McCains office, by comparison, were paid an average of $56,628.83.

        Psychoanalytic Dialogues,
Bill Clinton and John F. Kennedy: The Dark Side of Charisma
        By Sue Erikson Bloland, C.S.W.

Bill Clinton and John F. Kennedy are both exceptionally charismatic figures who achieved enormous popularity as U.S. Presidents. And both have been revealed (one posthumously and one while still in office) as compulsive womanizers who risked their political careers (if not the welfare of the country) in the addictive pursuit of sexual gratification. Should we be shocked to learn that these well-loved leaders, or that Mao Ze-dong, Gandhi, or Martin Luther King, qualify as sexual addicts?

What we have come to know posthumously about the personal conduct of many of historys most extraordinary political leaders suggests that a combination of charismatic personality, a drive to attain power, and sexual compulsivity is a common pattern among heads of state.

        "WMD in Iraq"
        "Iraq was behind 9/11"
"Cheney wanted input from everybody on energy policy" (40+ times met with oil industry, alternative energy advocates only once.)

        The whole birth certificate thing.
        "Obama is a Muslim"
McCain saying he never said, "I don't know much about the economy." when he did repeatedly and its on tape.
Most of McCain's positions have been all over the board.

... and the list goes on. All verified LIES!

Women don't aspire to be "the wife of" any more, they aspire to 'be". Send out the actual politician, not the wife or if you have to send a spouse, how about sending a guy for a change. Sending a spouse says "this is a second class issue" when in fact this is a very first class problem for Obama and could cost him the election. It's astounding he is so out of touch with women he is sending wives.

Comment: Oh Barry. You are going to focus on what women want? Mmm. You know what we want, don't you? We Americans have been very naughty and we need to be disciplined. Yes. We need you to raiiiiiiiise our taxes a little higher...a little higher...That's right. Be gentle. We want you to make us pick up the mess that we have made. It may take a little bit of encouragement, but I think you can whiiiiiiiiiiiiip us into shape. Can't wait for your coronation on Thursday. How long is your scepter? Is it true what they say? Now be gentle. We are not used to being disciplined.
