I often wonder why there is so much obnoxious bullying coming from the republican side of the fence. I say this because I live in one of the "redest" states in the union, and I have lived with the sneers and jabs all my life. When I hear democrats discuss McCain, they often begin by acknowledging his personal strengths, and then attack his policies, not his person. Is it so difficult to stick to the issues and stay away from ad hominem attacks? I guess it is...

Again, If Hilary was the nominee, would there be any question what-so-ever as to who would've won the election? Dems had to be shaking their heads around the country last night saying, man, we really blew this one. Bill had me wanting to vote Democrat for a minute there.

Well, I have learned from these message boards over the last few months that Obama-BOTS would not recognize CLASS if it hit them in the fact.
Most of them are filthy-mouthed, rude, and tasteless. They all scream racism because they cannot defend their CARIACATURE of a candidate in any other fashion -- or just plain do not know how.
Watch your GOD in his TEMPLE tonight, you pitiful people, and dream of CHANGing into a world of people who act like sheep.
And when THE ONE tells you to all take poison at midnight, be sure to listen.

This is probably THE BEST article I have seen in a long and disappointing campaign for over a year.
What a deserved tribute to President Clinton's speech last night. And the viewer could not possibly not see that this is a gifted speaker that exemplified what PRESENCE is all about.
Wonderful speech last night, and a wonderful article.
I am very, very pleased this morning to read this FAIR and DESERVED article.

    Obama is no Bill Clinton

  • Posted By: HillBillyBill @ 08/28/2008 9:15:16 AM

He's still got "it" and the crowd was ready to vote for him again.

Bill Clinton laid out the case perfectly well. The extreme right wing policies have destroyed this country for the past eight years. BIll Clinton, like any good Statesman/Politician, fought a hard fight on his wife's behalf; but when it was finally over for Hillary, he put the good of the country above that of his personal feelings.

And he reminded us what a disaster the GOP's policies are. No More Years!!! Not for the GOP.

The Obama magic continues!! Please be careful, magic is an illusion/trick. If he is elected, watchout!!! We will all be tricked.

Bill Clinton, tonight, has passed the "torch" on to Barack.

Whatever happens from this night on, the Clinton's, (both Bill and Hillary), will go into 21st century American history with Barack.

    The Democratic Party is AWESOME!

  • Posted By: Redboy @ 08/28/2008 3:48:58 AM

Wednesday night, former President William Jefferson Clinton passed the, "torch" on to Barack Obama. His wife, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton moved the Democratic convention to cease counting the delegates and declare, by acclamation, that Barack Obama should be our partys nominee for President of the United States and the convention agreed.

No matter what happens from that moment on, the Clinton's will be written into 21st century American history with Barack.

WAKE UP AMERICA! We've go work to do, TOGETHER!

Bill Clinton tore McCain and the Repubs a new one. That's for sure.

Fleetside, you are a racist. Crawl back into your slim pit and leave the commentary to those who know the truth.

Bill Clintons speech was great! Bill was a great president! The economy and life in Ameriac was great when Bill was president! But it still won't get people to vote for Obama!

One of the best political speeches I have ever heard. Now I know why I am a democrat.

  • Posted By: pinkbikini @ 08/28/2008 12:31:46 AM

Oh, I hadn't seen the comment from DontBelievetheHype: pretty freaking funny. Just had to say....

  • Posted By: pinkbikini @ 08/28/2008 12:29:53 AM

One of the best political speeches I have heard in my life. Maybe the best but I can't count out his own presidential speeches. And Hillary's speech last night was a major lifetime fastball. What I take away from both nights is that (thankfully) the Clintons are a long way from being done in politics. I am a Hillary supporter for the rest of my life and hope we see her president. But I vote Barack in November - like there's a question?

Fineman even when you praise President Clinton you just can't resist layin on the hate. You are a petty little no talent hack woking at a dying magazine. Please go home and have a stroke.

    • Posted By: Rustydog @ 08/28/2008 12:29:26 AM

Do you ever say anything positive about anything? How about dealing with what Fineman said rather than just calling him names. Any idiot can do that.

    ObamaYesWeCan,

Let me guess... you're surely a Republican pretending to be a disgrunted Obama fan. Clinton's speech was good, far more than I thought he was capable of. So instead of bickering about the past, I am sure real Democrats will set their differences aside and fight for the greater good.
