What is surprising is that it took so long to do it...Obama will get about 10 points from the election, when the polls starting today show up next Tuesday expect those number to drop.

    According to a news report, a certain private school in Washington was recently faced with a unique problem. A number of 12-year-old girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom. That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick, they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints. Every night the maintenance man would remove them, and the next day the girls would put them back. Finally the principal decided that something had to be done. She called all the girls to the bathroom and met them there with the maintenance man. She explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the custodian who had to clean the mirrors every night (you can just imagine the yawns from the little princesses). To demonstrate how difficult it had been to clean the mirrors, she asked the maintenance man to show the girls how much effort was required. He took out a long-handled squeegee, dipped it in the toilet, and cleaned the mirror with it. Since then, there have been no lip prints on the mirror. There are teachers ... and then there are educators . .i have to wonder how much longer the obama supporters will keep kissing the mirror

I think that everyone should know not to poke a grizzly bear with a stick and wake it up because it will be very angry and attack! Now factor in a cub that???s there and you???ve really got a problem! This is what the liberal has done by attacking Sarah palin and her daughter Bristol. She may have been hurt and had some resentment about accepting the v.p.offer, however now she is angry and will fight with all her might. she is a force to be reckoned with! She is very smart and not afraid to lay it on the line. Some politicians don???t go to certain areas against their opponents out of respect for the office and the need to work with them in the future. But Sarah palin don???t she will get rid of her problems by laying it all out for the world to see and the opponent will be eliminated! So watch this lady in action now and don???t be too surprised when she takes on the media or the biggest liberal organization out there! There will be heads rolling! P.s. Obama might have been to Alaska before because he said that families are off limits he may know a thing or two about grizzly bears!

      What is the most expressed reason so far today that they dislike McCains choice? Beauty queen?

      Lets face the facts here as presented. The Dems talk about how they advocate equality in the workplace.

      However, when it comes to showing us and not telling us, we see a completely different story.

      I am totally turned off by what McCain did as an Independent. Would you trust someone with her amount of experience, heaven forbid something happens to McCain at a 3am emergency? My gosh, there are a dozen or more great Republicans that he could have asked that have enough experience that would have been a much better choice. I think jpindenver, who posted below me, got the list correct to my taste. It is inexcusable for him to choose someone who is not prepared in my opinion to run this country if something went wrong. And this is not a gender issue either for me. Biden is going to run her out of Dodge when its his turn to debate her. This almost reminds me of Dan Quayle being picked by Bush.

      Actually, no. There is no Republican veep choice that would change my mind. My happy dance was because this was a particularly weak choice (for a "first" presidential decision). I would have been concerned if Romney had been given the nod because of his business reputation and the fact that pocketbook issues are at the forefront of the campaign. However, it would have been a disaster -- public relations-wise -- to have TWO multi-mansioned billionaires on the same ticket.

      Michael Bloomberg would be one that would have made things interesting. Olympia Snowe. Condoleeza Rice. Tim Pawlenty was very impressive in his interviews at the DNC.

      My guess is that a lot of intriguing Republicans are sitting this one out, given the stench of the Bush Administration.

      One other comment- I would be in a very tough position if this were the John McCain of 1999. It's a shame for you guys that he's emphatically NOT that candidate.

    I was never a fan of Obama nor McCain until today. I had actually been leaning towards a vote for Obama, but unlike most americans Ihad actually heard of Palin before her Nomination (i love to watch Glenn Beck everyday) I understand her. She is the reason McCain I will trail away from my Democractic background and for the first time ever vote Republican. Great Choice McCain.

    I wonder if my felow democrats now understand the concern of some of us as democrats have had all along with Obama's lack of experience? Immediately they raised the fear of someone so inexperienced in the number two spot, wow ! How about in the number one spot with Obama? Why has the experience issue not raised the same concern there? Because he is a democrat and she is a republican?

    Isn't it time to look past labels of party, especially given the worst finnacial situation on our nation since the depression, and the chaotic international situation. Why would any of us want to put a rookie in with no experience just because he can make great speeches?
