The next flip-flop? "He's not ready - but my 44 year old townie, running mate under investigation is. Don't listen to those tapes done by the State Trooper. Being mayor counts and she's use to being runner up - in pageants. She been Gov. for two years ya' know, Forget all that stuff I said about experience." If you're going to have inexperience as your talking point, don't go even less experienced, less travelled and super-local.

She looks like a Miss Alaska bimbo converted to Extreme Christianity, a proponent of BIg Oil and an advocate for Drilling in ANWR as her only major selling point.

      Good luck with that! hahahahhaahahah

McSame pickes McLame as his running mate.

Take away the "L" in Palin, and you have pain. Lots of it.

        • Posted By: willnotvoteobama @ 08/29/2008 1:48:54 PM

CHANGE ! the b to a s in obama and you get osama! thats the CHANGE TICKET !

          • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 2:12:00 PM

Here comes the conservative vote. That's Republican right? Yep, drag out the name-change super-intellectual argument. I bet you think you're relevant to people.

            • Posted By: willnotvoteobama @ 08/29/2008 2:24:38 PM

              YOU STARTED IT !

              • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 2:40:00 PM

Sorry Mr. Willnotvote. I would never change any one's name to "Osama". That's racially tendered. I questioned a candidate and her quals, and made a non-racial play on her last name - not unlike what the Reps do. The ignorant name-calling, fear-mongering and culture-degrading names I'll leave to your type. Do you have a vest in your car?

                • Posted By: SPORTLOCK09 @ 08/29/2008 3:55:54 PM

Yet changing Monay to Mo-nay has no racial meaning at all? You change direction faster then the wind.

                  • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 5:15:00 PM

That's how you said it in your Ebonics, "I got cred" drivel blog. I believe your words were - the name is Mo-nay. Like you were a drug dealer or something. Plus, you of the A and N-words have no place to debate with that language. You're not a good man on any level Mr. Sportslock09. So why do bigots want others to be bigots instead of just shutting up? Did you teach your child to fight, fight, kill today like your daddy taught you?

        • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 2:13:24 PM

Here comes the "Osama" people being all desperate again. "Osama" "Messiah" "Follower". Yep. Good Americans.

Yeah EVERY man who is straight and dates or is married to a woman KNOWS how the typical woman reacts when a PRETTIER woman comes into the room. Jealous! So they'll call her Bimbo, etc, etc when its just their lack of self esteem playing itself out. Pathetic!

          • Posted By: SPORTLOCK09 @ 08/29/2008 3:36:20 PM

Very very true. Bitter bitter bitter. And can you imagine the ones who say" oh lets see what see looks like after a few kids!" LMAO If this womens elected I guess that excuse goes out the window. No wonder they hate her. She's hot !!!!!

      • Posted By: SPORTLOCK09 @ 08/29/2008 1:14:51 PM

Pretty tasteless. Who would you have advocated that would have made you give the McCain campaign a second look?

    • Posted By: careerdaytrader @ 08/29/2008 1:10:29 PM

Running a state is more like a country than simply having the TITLE Senator and basically missing most votes, voting PRESENT instead of for or against like Obama has. Obama used the Senate as a spring board to the Presidency. He was never interested in BEING a Senator or WORKING in that regard. That's why he has no experience.

What's funny is Mc Cain's choice has MORE experience than Obama! I love it! Hillary supporters are flocking to the Mc Cain Bandwagon as we speak!

Oil is the issue on most American's minds. She's for drilling and can get THINGS DONE, lower gas prices for all Americans. She's CONSERVATIVE and is against WASTEFUL spending!

I love her, PERFECT job Mc Cain! Obama promises CHANGE and then picks Biden. hahaha!
Mc Cain IS FOR change and gives you true change, breath of fresh air and somebody who conservatives, independents and women will LOVE.

      • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 1:14:17 PM

She's an actress like day-traders. No real education or skills, but she can talk people into saying and doing what they don't want to do, for her benefit. You should love her.

        • Posted By: careerdaytrader @ 08/29/2008 1:30:02 PM

I'm a business owner with 3 employees and $1.3 million in sales. I also have investments and trade.

And yes I do love her and Mc Cain for letting ME keep MY money from MY work.

You losers want me to work harder so I can make more money to GIVE to you. Crazy!

I have a solution to END poverty (will also end the Democratic party as there won't be any more losers to vote for them). Have an income requirement to have kids. $15k for 1 kid, $30k for 2, $50k for 3 and $100k for 4 kids. NO MORE POOR and a 70% reduction in poverty in 20 years. His pick will only ANGER democrats even more when they lose and I LOVE IT! Same way I felt when Supreme Court picked the man who would help the country the best rather than who the idiots actually voted for. Great Decision then, GREAT decision now. Hopefully many of you will be so angry you'll move to Europe, you all seem to love Europe.

          • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 1:35:07 PM

So people who don't make 1.3 million are losers? Yep, you should like McCain. You fit right in. Does anyone on think you make millions? How come your handle is not career1.3million? Or under1.3loserhater? She's still an undergrad with zero experience in anything. No. She does not on any level have more experience than Mr. Obama. Except media experience.

            • Posted By: careerdaytrader @ 08/29/2008 2:48:59 PM

I really could care LESS if anybody believes I'm successful or not. And no you don't have to make the kind of money I do to be a success. What I find objectionable, what I HATE is un american people who feel that THEY shouldn't pay more taxes for the changes THEY think the country should make but want people like ME to cover it FOR them.

If you can't PAY for what you want, you don't deserve it. Nowhere in the Constitution does it guarantee you a job, house, money or FREE health care.

Has any Democrat even thought of how disasterous it WOULD BE? Not only is social security on shaky ground NOW you want to give free health insurance to people which will probably raise life expectancies and so the poor retirees now live 5 to 15 years more. GUARANTEED disaster waiting to happen for Social Security! I bet not ONE Democrat ever really thought it through! And if social security taxes are raised guess who would pick up the bill? People like me, the successes of this country and not the failures.
              Not fair!

              • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 5:09:04 PM

If you really, really don't care. Please stop bringing it up in every post.

Palin served two terms on the Wasilla City Council from 1992 to 1996. In 1996, she challenged and defeated the incumbent mayor, criticizing wasteful spending and high taxes.
The ex-mayor and sheriff tried to organize a recall campaign, but failed. Palin kept her campaign promises by reducing her own salary, as well as reducing property taxes by 60%. She ran for reelection against the former mayor in 1999, winning by an even larger margin. Palin was also elected president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors.
Appointed Ethics Commissioner of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, where she served from 2003 to 2004 until resigning in protest over what she called the "lack of ethics" of fellow Alaskan Republican leaders, who ignored her whistleblowing complaints of legal violations and conflicts of interest. After she resigned, she exposed the state Republican Party's chairman, Randy Ruedrich, one of her fellow Oil & Gas commissioners, who was accused of doing work for the party on public time, and supplying a lobbyist with a sensitive e-mail.
Highlights of Governor Palin's tenure include a successful push for an ethics bill, and also shelving pork-barrel projects supported by fellow Republicans. After federal funding for the Gravina Island Bridge project that had become a nationwide symbol of wasteful earmark spending was lost, Palin decided against filling the over $200 million gap with state money. "Alaska needs to be self-sufficient, she says, instead of relying heavily on 'federal dollars,' as the state does today."
She has challenged the state's Republican leaders, helping to launch a campaign by Lieutenant Governor Sean Parnell to unseat U.S. Congressman Don Young and publicly challenging Senator Ted Stevens to come clean about the federal investigation into his financial dealings.
Palin's tenure is noted for her independence from big oil companies, while still promoting resource development. Palin has announced plans to create a new sub-cabinet group of advisors, to address climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions within Alaska.

ME! ME! I did it ALL myself and I never drive public roads, I NEVER use the internet which was created by government investment in DARPA!" Seriously- this argument that your wealth was created purely out of sweat in your pores is ridiculous. What business do you own? I guarantee I can find you 10 subsidies provided by government that helped make your business profitable, and you wealthy (presumably). So reply and give me 5 minutes to break it down for you..

By the way- your "solution" is positively fascist in nature and Draconian in design. You could be the Head Comrade of the Uterus Police. You would love Europe too - as in Mussolini's Italy.....

            • Posted By: careerdaytrader @ 08/29/2008 2:45:36 PM

Yes I drive on public roads and I paid $107,000 in taxes last year. You may have paid $5k. I did NOT drive on public roads 20 TIMES more than you. Stupid argument but not bad coming from a DUMBocrat. hehe

              • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 5:07:58 PM

You paid less than 10%? How?

          • Posted By: neocon @ 08/29/2008 1:35:40 PM

Give them jobs as Community Organizers. That seems to be a career path to bigger and better things.

  • Posted By: jpindenver @ 08/29/2008 11:40:10 AM

ow- A stunningly politically-driven pick, right on the heels of hammering Barack on his lack of experience. Are they going to run these "Not ready to lead" ads now, with the oldest candidate with a history of cancer (sorry, but that is, in fact, an issue) running with a 2 year Governor from a largely obscure and isolated state that was already squarely in the GOP locker with its THREE electoral votes?

Was this the 2nd best representative of the GOP, or even the strongest Republican woman (if that was indeed the motive, which I think it's safe to say it was)? My guess is no, unless someone can tell me why Palin trumps Meg Whitman, Olympia Snowe, Lynne Cheney, Condoleeza Rice,, etc, etc?

    Illinois population: 12,831,970 Alaska : 670,000.

    Wow.

    • Posted By: Young Hickory @ 08/29/2008 11:49:12 AM

Exactly. This should be an insult to all the qualified Republican women who have put in their time. There are cities that have more people than Alaska.

      • Posted By: SPORTLOCK09 @ 08/29/2008 12:23:00 PM

Well, I think they figured since the Democratic party skipped over all the experience they have in the senate for Obama, that they couldn't possibly make a statement about more qualified people. Apparently, they were wrong. It's only good for the Democratic party. Go figure.

        • Posted By: jpindenver @ 08/29/2008 1:35:43 PM

The point, since you completely missed it, is that the Theme of the McCain campaign is "Not ready to Lead" (addressing Obama - very telling that McCain's slogan is describing his opponent rather than his own positive attributes)

So- "Not ready to lead"...we've been hearing that for a month or two. And who does he put in the "heartbeat" slot? Someone who has no more experience than Obama. So the perspective of the Democrat isn't that she doesn't have the leadership credentials because WE say so...it's that she doesn't have the credentials because YOU (the GOP) say so. You've been saying that for the last 2 months. That's why it's Comedy to us.

          • Posted By: SPORTLOCK09 @ 08/29/2008 4:54:54 PM

I agree with you!!!! Do you understand that? Now do you agree that if Obama's inexperience is a non factor to the Democratic party should Palins inexperience be a non factor for the DEMOCRATIC party also. Again, I agree. Now can you answer my question?

    • Posted By: SPORTLOCK09 @ 08/29/2008 12:29:11 PM

So it's ok for a first term senator to run for the presidency, but not ok for a 2yr governor to run for VP? Please explain.

  • Posted By: Chloe123 @ 08/29/2008 12:38:57 PM

McCain- Palin- TherWinning TIcket. For those who think her resume is small you should read about her- first- Obama looks like he just graduated high school compared to her.

    • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 12:46:26 PM

You should read about her Ms. Chloe. She has zero experience, and spent most of her adult life around big oil and the media. She did not graduate top of her class either - but does have minor degrees achieved while being a hockey mom. Experience? No. Legislative investigation? Yes.

      • Posted By: SPORTLOCK09 @ 08/29/2008 1:25:41 PM

You have a severe problem with women. You really need help with this before it comes to a head. I wouldn't go minimizing how hard it is to raise 5 kids while obtaining these as you say "minor" degrees. And I would like to mention a Governor has a whole lot more on their plate then a Senator does. Have you ever heard of a governor deciding PRESENT before?

Let me ask you a question. Could McCain have selected anyone who would have made you reconsider your vote?

        • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 1:45:07 PM

You're the guy who beats up women at bar fights right? Your daddy said never walk away but, kill, kill, kill? You threaten bloggers who disagree with your bigotry and call them girls or something as immature? Raise angry kids to fight? You're th blogger who begged me to stop replying- yet you do this? You're the A-word, N-word little punk who thinks every one is afraid of him right? No sir. She is probably a fine woman, but if experience, diplomacy and global affairs are keys, she does not compute. Be a good little Mo-nay and consider adoption. There's a good little cred-seeking wannabe.

Comment: Oh you again, and Imagine this, saying the same stuff you've said for the last 2 weeks LMAO How original!!! Not much of the thinker you make yourself out to be are you? Can't come up with any new material can ya? Here let me guess whats next. Mr. Mo-nay right? LMAO

Matter of fac, I got your whole days worth of responses down.

            1. Mr. Mo-nay / He likes to ghetto up my daughters name by hyphenating it.
            2. What, your gonna beat me up?/ He doesn't understand 99.9% of America would hit anyone speaking unkindly of their 9 yr old little girl. He thinks you should shake his hand. LMAO
            3. Sportlocks a racist!!!! He said the N-word and the A-word! / The N-word was used, actually when I questioned his reasons for hyphenating my daughters name. I believe the exact statement I made was, why do your add a hyphen my daughters name? Is that your white trash way of calling her a ni@@er?
            4. Sportlock says he has a bi-racial daughter. / Actually no I didn't, I told you her name, you assumed she was black and ran with it, proven when he adds the hyphen to her name, kinda like sha-nay-nay.
            5. Sportlock calls people names, belittles them, etc, etc. / Ya don't say? Well your post reflect a different person is doing the name calling etc, etc,.

Sportlock believes the way to solve differences is to beat people up. / I would love for every poster here today to let this (person) know what they would do to someone whom speaks badly of their daughter and questions their parenting skills. After you ask him to refrain from bringing your daughters name, and race onto a message board, he not only refuses, but he expects you to extend your hand in friendship.

Now I ask all, Democrat or Republican. How would you deal with this situation?

  • Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 08/29/2008 12:44:40 PM

"As for the prospect of her being vice president, Palin told Kudlow that she could not answer the question of whether she wanted the job 'UNTIL SOMEBODY ANSWERS FOR ME WHAT IS IT EXACTLY THAT THE VP DOES EVERY DAY. I'm used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that VP slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we're trying to accomplish up here.'

Oh SNAP, the woman doesn't know what the position is. Great, just great. And McCain supporters want this guy as Commander in Chief. In the words of Syndrome, "Oh this is just too good."

    • Posted By: SPORTLOCK09 @ 08/29/2008 1:53:36 PM

Who has more day to day responsibility, a Senator or a Governor?

      • Posted By: careerdaytrader @ 08/29/2008 2:58:34 PM

EVERYBODY knows a Governor has more experience! That's why last Senator to win was Kennedy back in 1960. If it was a MALE senator from Alaska there wouldn't be 5% of this uproar! THe Democrats claim to be pro woman but they are CLEARLY not. THey treated Hillary terribly and all her supporters. They will now do the same to this beautiful, intelligent, and lets not forget MORAL woman!

        • Posted By: SPORTLOCK09 @ 08/29/2008 4:25:57 PM

I was trying to see if I could get a Democrat to admit the truth. I failed

  • Posted By: Dare270 @ 08/29/2008 3:56:46 PM

I was so hoping for romney. He represents the right wing conservative elitists so well. Plus the polls would've jumped to 65 to 30 percent in favor of Obama.

  • Posted By: BoGilles @ 08/29/2008 3:50:48 PM

As soon as I heard about McCain's choice for VP, I immediately told my wife that we'll both be voting for Obama. It's irresponsible to play the dice when you're 72 years old. But then why would he care.

  • Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 08/29/2008 3:41:33 PM

McCain is a screw up. I knew the deck was stacked against him but this is amazing. Don't know how anyone could vote for him. But they will nonetheless. Crazy.

  • Posted By: jbizzy @ 08/29/2008 3:18:01 PM

Who in the hell is this lady and why would McCain would take this time to introduce an unknown person in his campaign. It makes know since that I would try and play on the emotions of women to think he is going to use a women to get elected. He is pothetic. He talks about Barack not having experience and he goes and get a woman that has no global experienc. What if he dies or get sick while in office, the soccer mom is supposed to lead the country. Give me a break. This is a joke and I know Americans will know better to choose a candidate that doesn't understand the times. She is not Hillary Clinton and she will never be Hillary Clinton. Hillary will be the first female President.

Palin's abuse of power investigation. LOVE IT!
Palin's mantra of fighting corruption is akin to Mark Foley's mantra of fighting pedophilia.

Sarah Palin will be a fine choice for VP. If she had a little more experience I may have even preferred her as the Presidential nominee than McCain due to her record in politics as Governor and mayor. All of the Liberal blowhards forget that the commander in chief is the president and not the VP. Really, I mean Obama is the inexperienced one, not McCain. Hopefully in time she will garner enough experience to be the front runner in the presidential primaries as the next GOP candidate. Gore was VP and was promoted to the Presidential front runner, George Bush Sr also played that role. Joe Biden won't likely have that honor bestowed on him if Obama were to be President. The liberal blowhards also don't give women much credit if they think women won't support McCain because of her conservative position, not everyone woman supports abortion. She supports conservative issues, which makes for an ideal Republican candidate. She isn't running to be on the Democratic Party candidacy so why should she support overtly liberal positions? Condoleeza Rice may have been another good VP choice, but her record on conservative issues (like McCain) was a little foggy.
BTW, The SALT II strategic nuclear arms treaty that Omaar refers to was signed by President Carter was initiated by President Ford in 1974, a Republican. And, D'mitri Medvedev? Are you serious... do you really think it is him and not Putin pulling the strings? Bill Clinton didn't just have regional experience, he was a governor.... he also used his office to gain experience with his many secretaries and interns.

    • Posted By: marksgershenson @ 08/29/2008 3:12:40 PM

and heaven forbid if something happened to McCain, can she be called on at 3am with her experience? This is not a woman issue, this is my security as a native to our great U.S. The rest of your rhetoric is just that.

  • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 12:21:07 PM

From housewife, to mayor, to Governor, to VP nominee on a bachelors degree. But she did minor in politics - so I guess she's qualified. Running Alaska has got to be tougher than running a household of five. But she is hot, right?

    • Posted By: careerdaytrader @ 08/29/2008 3:02:23 PM

You are RIGHT about one thing, running Alaska is HARDER than Obama's non voting record in the Senate as he tried to con the Democrats into nominating him for President! Obama when he was an Illinois rep missed 190 votes and in the Senate missed about 495 votes! WTF, you can't even give him credit for being a Senator because HE WAS NOT A WORKING SENATOR !!

  • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 12:53:39 PM

can not imagine how Ms. Clinton feels about this. She had all that experience, calm, anger and was feared - and a husband who could lead, and the beauty queen might be Prez if the old man dies? BTW Happy Birthday Mr. McCain for 72. But I digress. No way. Can't happen. McCain can not win. When there is a first female president it should be Ms. Clinton.

    • Posted By: careerdaytrader @ 08/29/2008 1:14:32 PM

Should be but won't be. Hillary's 2012 shot is now officially NOW OVER. Many Obama fans can at least cheer that, they HATED Hillary Clinton and her supporters! Now those angry supporters have a REAL choice!

      • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 1:22:35 PM

Read the comments. They have less choice. She is completely Rep. Completely.

Firstly PREGNANCY is totally 100% avoidable! Birth Control pills, condoms, withdrawl method.

People who get pregnant on ACCIDENT are the same people who don't finish college and who are not very intelligent, have NO PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for themselves and want tax payers to give them free health insurance.

Anybody with over a 120 IQ has health insurance! What's so wrong with letting the DUMBEST in America die from not having health insurance. Yeah that would get rid of the Democratic party but thats not such a bad thing!

      • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 1:25:16 PM

I'm pretty sure - and hope - Ms. Clinton is looking at bigger and better by now. Her shot was over a long time ago, but she has the demeanor and the ambition to be a bigger figure than a president. She may very well be.

If the Hillary supporters were angered by the prospect of Kathleen Sebellius (with WAY more experiences and a woman that actually shares Hll's values of supporting women's issues) possibly breaking the glass ceiling after Hill put 18 million cracks in it...they must be spitting nails over this. If McCain thinks putting an extremely unqualified woman on the ticket is going to sway thinking women...well that's just offensive...he really doesn't GET IT>

I don't get it either. Can you help me out here. Obama was labelled unqualified by his VP Biden, and both Clintons. And now they seem to think no experience is just fine.

Now McCain picks a VP whom also has little experience, and all the sudden experience counts?

I'm confused, does experience count or not? I can't see how Obam,a with no experience, is good for the most powerful job in the world. And then Palin with no experience is bad for the second most powerful job in the world. Can you help me out and tell me how the one is any better then the other?

It's basically a national security threat to have Palin on the ticket - McCain is alot more likely to die of old age and leave us with an underqualified president Palin.

If Obama should happen to die (or get assassinated, god forbid), we have Biden in place, which is a lot stronger situation and more formidable in our enemies' eyes.

With McCain-Palin, we will be a laughing stock around the world and particularly among our enemies.

By contrast, the world loves and respects Obama, the idea of a Harvard-educated, brilliant black man running our countriw with his equally intelligent, articulaate and poised wife, and a great VP who will know what to do in times of crisis.

This is the winning ticket - OBAMA-BIDEN for change. not mcSame and hiis mcLame VP.

I completely agree. I, for one, am looking forward to the Veep debate. Talk about zero foreign policy experience! The woman was a mayor in an Alaskan city, not a major metropolitan area. Less then 2 years of gubernatorial experience! If I didn't already think that McCain was the less intelligent candidate, this decision absolutely cements it. Does he really think this is the best and brightest choice? Obviously he thought picking a woman, any woman, would help his chances? Ridiculous, and an insult to women everywhere. Ultimately, all voters must think - McCain is 72 - not exactly a youthful looking 72 - what happens IF......Do you really think someone with a Bachelor's in Communication can lead the free world??
On a lighter note..her husband looks pretty cute!

Oh yes the handsome couple, lets vote for them because they look good. And let me point out that she was not mayor of a CITY. She was mayor of a town. 6500 people does not make a city.

He is out of touch and out of ideas and now he's picked a seriously underqualififed running mate, who didn't even go to Harvard much less graduate with honors or devote herself to helping poorer people get health insurance, education and jobs. She's in no way shapr or form comparable to Hillary.

She's a token female, god bless her,, that the GOP can use to access Alaskan drilling rights, as if that would solve all our energy problems.

Once again, the tassled-loafer set gets it wrong! I'm so glad for the GOP that they feel they have a "change" candidate now, but they came second after a superb democratic convention and the choice they made is risky - the rewards for the American people, and women in general, are not that great with Palin. They are actually about setting us back in the 1950s again with ultra-conservative religious right people ruling our country - what's new abbou that? Nothin'.

    Change I can believe in.

If you read about her, she fits every-single-platform of the RNC, from guns to abortion. From same-sex rights to war. Every-single-platform. Including the oil platform. She mocks Ms. Clinton, and is the polar (pardon the pun) opposite.

I agree, SHE IS SOOOOO PERFECT !!!! Even far prettier than Hillary! American's are stupid and Obama's good looks are the PRIME reason they love him even if its sub consciously. Fight fire with fire!

        • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 1:15:53 PM

She's a pretty woman. I will not vote for her, but she's quite attractive. Her smile is wonderful.

          • Posted By: neocon @ 08/29/2008 1:22:47 PM

Her resume is pretty good also. She just doesn't have the experience as a community organize to fall back on.

            • Posted By: careerdaytrader @ 08/29/2008 1:32:56 PM

Yeah so true. Obama walked around and spoke to poor people and they spoke back. Nothing at ALL was accomplished but sure sounds good! Community Organizer. Did poverty go down? NO!
Did crime go down? NO! Did people's problems disappear? NO!

Obama is a total failure at everything but meeting with crazy liberals, felons, drug dealers, terrorists, bombers, hate filled ministers, etc! He's going to go down in FLAMES and I'm sooo happy today. A big middle finger in the face of all Democrats!

              • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 1:38:46 PM

We are quite happy too. It's like a gift for us on Mr McCain's 72nd birthday. Mr. Obama might send him a present. Drill, drill, drill.

                • Posted By: careerdaytrader @ 08/29/2008 2:53:26 PM

Yep send him a present. The WHITE HOUSE! LOL

      • Posted By: neocon @ 08/29/2008 1:13:43 PM

Yes and that is why I've been telling my friends that sen.McCain should pick her. She is a very good choice. She is not a party cronie like Biden and fights against her party when need unlike Obama. Both her and McCain have a history of bipartiaship that the Dems can't lay a claim to.

        • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 1:20:57 PM

She is the Gov. of Alaska. A-las-ka. She's a quick fix, yes-woman with no travel, foreign, diplomatic credentials. She does have a press pass.

          • Posted By: willnotvoteobama @ 08/29/2008 2:01:19 PM

JUST SO YOU KNOW ANY GOVENOR OF ALASKA MUST BE SIGHTFUL OF RUSSIA BECAUSE THEY ARE LESS THAT 120 MILES FROM THE STATE OF ALASKA AT THE CLOSEST POINT SO HER BEING A GOVENOR THERE SHE WAS ALWAYS READY WITH THE NATIONAL GAURD TO DEFEND HER LAND !! SO I'M SURE WHEN THEY GOT TOO CLOSE SHE LET THEM KNOW AND THATS FAR MORE THAN BIDEN AND OSAMA COULD EVER DO !!

            • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 2:15:05 PM

BTW, The SALT II strategic nuclear arms treaty that Omaar refers to was signed by President Carter was initiated by President Ford in 1974, a republican.

SPORTLOCK09 : "The question I would like to know from the Dems is. Does experience now matter"

Thats the QUESTIOn your DUMB ASS should be DIRECTING at Yourselves and John McCain, who has MILKED THAT CASH COW FOR THE LAST 5 MONTHS !!!!!

The Democrats had No Problem with Obama...it was You So Called Republicans that made it the QUESTION of the YEAR !!!

    The Question is...

Do You & So Called Republicans care NOW about "EXPERIENCE" !!!!

    HAHAHAHAHA !!!

    • Posted By: SPORTLOCK09 @ 08/29/2008 2:31:19 PM

Wanna grow up a tad? I mean really, hahahahahaha?
I'm sorry I thought I could ask a serious question without being answered with a question. My mistake.

But I will man up to your question even though you redirected mine without an answer.
Yes, I do think it is foolish to say Obama has no experience for 5 months and then pick a VP with little experience. Albeit, I do think a governor has more responsibilities then a senator. However, the governor of Alaska would be less qualified then say the governor of Ohio just due to size of the population you are governing. I would be concerned if something were to happen to McCain and all of the sudden WHAM my new president has almost no experience as commander and chief. If this were the case, I would prefer Obama representing our country then Governor Palin.

So, how about a grown up answer to my previous question now?

    • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 2:09:38 PM

Yeah, but she'd be a yes-woman I guess. He'll do all the foreign affairs, international diplomacy and - war. He seems to be on the control-freak side. She has zero global experience and wants to drill up the shorelines. How anyone could pick someone so locally focused, so specialist and under investigation is beyond me.

Bill Clinton did a Great Thing, by saying what his Republican Opposition thought of him and tried to Emphasize about him, regarding him "Being Too Young & Inexperienced" and Bill One Upped their Asses !!!

He should've gone on Further and said...

Then 43 Yr Old John F. Kennedy was also Mocked by the Republicans and his own Democratic Opposition Lyndon B. Johnson as being "Too Young & Too InExperienced" as well.

Mr.666 Himself, Ron-ald Wil-son Rea-gan was Scorned Early on by the Press and his Republican opposition as "Being Too Old & InExperienced and just a B-Actor vying for the White House" and also it was said, "That Running a Single State is not like Running 50 states" but later on one of the Most Beloved Presidents.

Jimmy Carter was called "Too Southern, Too Out of Touch and He has No National Or International Experience", yet Carter did 2 Great Things in his 1 term as President..

    1. Carter Brokered: The "Middle East Peace Agreement" an Agreement that has lasted to this day, Between Both Israel & Eygpt.

    2. Carter Brokered: The Strategic Nuclear Amed Missiles Agreement between Both The USA & Russia. These 2 Agreements thus far.....

    HAVE NEVER BEEN BROKEN !!!

Jimmy Carter did it without BloodShed and Mass Murder or Mass Destruction.

NOW THINK ABOUT THAT, WHEN YOU CRITICIZE JIMMY CARTER.

Jon F. Jennedy: was (43 Yaars Old)

Russia's New President: D'mitri Medvedev is (42 Yrs Old)

Former USA President: Bill Clinton was (45 Yrs Old) and had Only State Regioanl Experience

Barack ObamaI is (47 Yrs Old) 2 Years Older than Bill Clinton

    -------------------------------------------
Bill Clinton: My fellow Democrats, sixteen years ago, you gave me the profound honor to lead our party to victory and to lead our nation to a new era of peace and broadly shared prosperity.

Bill Clinton: Together, we prevailed in a campaign in which the Republicans said "I was Too Young and Too In-Experienced to be Commander-in-Chief".

    Sound familiar ?

It didn't work in 1992, because we were on the right side of history. And it won't work in 2008, because Barack Obama is on the right side of history.

His life is a 21st Century incarnation of the American Dream. His achievements are proof of our continuing progress toward the "more perfect union" of our founders' dreams. The values of freedom and equal opportunity which have given him his historic chance will drive him as president to give all Americans, regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability, their chance to build a decent life, and to show our humanity, as well as our strength, to the world.

    THIS SCREAMS DESPERATION.

PALIN TRIED TO HIGHLIGHT GERALDINE FERRAO, HILLARY CLINTON AND THE 18 MILLION VOTES HILLARY GARNERED, BUT BOTH OF THOSE FEMALES EARNED THEIR RIGHT ON THE TICKETS AND PALINN, HAS JUST HAD HER'S EXPEDIANTLY GIVEN TO HER, ULTERIOR, JOHN MCCAIN KNOWS THE DEMOGRAPHICS DO NOT FAVOR HIM AT ALL, AND HE SIDE STEPPED TIM PAWLENTY FOR THIS RAGA-MUFFIN ?

    A QUESTION FOR ALL DEMOCRATS......

I see the post about McCains pick being a bad one. I would like to see if it is just the biasedness bleeding into your post or are you just pouncing as usual.

My question is.......... WHO COULD HAVE MCCAIN SELECTED THAT WOULD HAVE MADE YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND ABOUT SUPPORTING THE OBAMA TICKET?
