What is everyone's problem?? Why don't you ask the people of Alaska and see what Palin has done for our state. She has turned this state around and done many wonderful things. We are such a unique place with so many different people and social structures. When Palin came in to office, she got rid of the luxuries that the previous governer had in order to save money for our state. She is giving money back to the people to help our economy. I am proud to have Palin as my Vice President. You don't always have to be sucked into the political games in order to be a good leader. I think that is what will make her an awesome vice leader for our country. I know she will not refuse to put her hand on her heart for the national anthem, nor will she deny her patriotism like Obama did, lest you forget. The media is very biased and you should look at the facts, not just what the media is telling us. It's a joke anymore.

I think they are using Palin to detract from the real issues. McCain's foreign, economic, and healh care policies will only continue to do harm to Americans. How can anyone even think of voting for another man who will continue with the same harmful policies that have the U.S. in a terrible mess. I am not an American but I have watched the U.S. decline over the past few years. LOOK AT THE ISSUES. (not at Sarah Palin's hair). Your health care costs more than any of the OECD countries and you have some of the worst health indicators. Your poverty and homeless rates are dispicable and yet you continue to support policies that benefit those who have money. You are in an economic crisis because your government was hands off with protecting lenders from loans that they could not afford. You are knee deep in a war that should never have began. Bush's vendetta with Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. He wanted to finish what his father started. The world dislikes you and you seem oblivious. VOTE Obama and do the world a favour!

WHO IS SARA PALIN? OR IS IT WHO IS SARA HILTON? SARA, IS AN IFLATED FAKE! SHE IS BEING USED BY SADOM McCAIN TO ATTRACT AS MANY VOTERS AS HE CAN SINCE HE NO MATCH FOR OBAMA ALONE. HE NEED TO HAVE SOMEONE WHO CAN CARRY A SMOKE SCREEN TO GET AS MANY AMERICAN VOTER SUCKED INTO BELIEVING THAT HE WILL BRING THE CHANGE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DESPARETELY NEED.
THIS IS WHO SARA PALIN IS: SHE IS A AN INFLATED FAKE BY THE PRO-REPUBLICAN MEDIA AND REPUBLICAN STRATEGISTS DESIGN TO MISLEAD THE WOMEN VOTERS BY APPEALING TO THEIR EMOTIONS AND BLINDING THEIR INTELLECT. ASK THE PEOPLE SHE HAS HURT IN ALASKA WHO SHE REALLY IS. CHECKOUT THE INTERVIEW WITH CHARLES GIBSON OF CBS NEWS, AND SEE WHO SHE REALY IS. GIBSON LEFTED THE SMOKE SCREEN AS HE ASK HER QUESTIONS THAT EXPOSED HER INGNORANCE AND INCOMPETENCE TO BE VP OR EVEN A PTA. THE BIGGEST SMOKE SCREEN IS THAT FACT THAT SHE CLAIMS TO HAVE EXECUTIVE ESPERIENCE AS MAYOR AND GOVERNOR OF ALASKA. YEA RIGHT. WASILA, LESS THAN 10,000, AND ALASKA LESS THAN A MILLION POPULATION, AND ONLY TWENTY MONTHS IN OFFICE, DO YOU CALL THAT EXPERIENCE? HELL NO! THAT IS THE MAIN SMOKE SCREEN. THAT IS WHY I SAY: HELL NO, SARA, NO! HELL NO, SARA NO! NEITHER McSAME.

If you want to support Sarah Palin, that is your choice. But, you do no favors to the women of America by stating your view with poor grammer and uneducated phrases. By not using facts to support your opinions, you help to stereotype women as emotional. I hope that everyone who supports Palin comes forward and speaks as you have; because, there is more of a chance that the intelligent public will stand up and fight against this incredibly irresponsible choice for VP. Equality is not just about putting a woman in a position of power, it is about putting the right person in a position of power, whether it be a male or female.

To Sarah Palin supporters and those who relate to her: This from a news article posted Sept. 11, 2008 07:48 AM

"Speaking to a teleconference audience of reporters around the nation, former Gov. Tony Knowles and current Ketchikan Mayor Bob Weinstein - both Democrats - accused Palin of misleading the public in her new role as the vice-presidential running mate of Arizona Sen. John McCain.

While some of their complaints have already been aired, Knowles broke new ground while answering a reporter's question on whether Wasilla forced rape victims to pay for their own forensic tests when Palin was mayor. True, Knowles said.

Eight years ago, complaints about charging rape victims for medical exams in Wasilla prompted the Alaska legislature to pass a bill - signed into law by Knowles - that banned the practice statewide.

"There was one town in Alaska that was charging victims for this, and that was Wasilla," Knowles said

A May 23, 2000, article in Wasilla's newspaper, The Frontiersman, noted that Alaska state troopers and most municipal police agencies regularly pay for such exams, which cost between $300 and $1,200 apiece.

"(But) the Wasilla Police Department does charge the victims of sexual assault for the tests," the newspaper reported.

It also quoted Wasilla Police Chief Charlie Fannon objecting to the law. Fannon was appointed to his position by Palin after her dismissal of the previous police chief. He said it would cost Wasilla $5,000 to $14,000 a year if the city had to foot the bill for rape exams.

"In the past we've charged the cost of exams to the victims' insurance company when possible," Fannon told the newspaper. "I just don't want to see any more burden put on the taxpayer."

An effort to reach Fannon by phone Wednesday was not successful. "

Those who support this potential VP candidate better do their homework before voting her into office. There's more behind this woman than just a pretty face. She WILL cause a big problem in our country and world if elected. Just wait and see.

I read the article about Sarah Palin this week. If I did favor her, I wouldn't after reading that article. It seems like "they" feel as if they finally found someone to "go up against" Barack Obama. It's easy to forget that she is up against Joe Biden. It's like, "Okay, let's get a white woman who knows about oil on Obama."
Another thing, the story says how none of her close associates even knew she was pregnant. Oh, what'd she wear eskimo clothing to the speech she left after half an hour - to go have a baby. Doubt it. And if you have 3 children and can do your job, why would you hide your fourth? Stretchmarks are proof of the new baby? Huh? Oh, the first three babies left her tight and smooth?
Then to repeat "Down syndrome" over and over, and make reference to "when someone is Down syndrome" instead of saying "when someone HAS Down's Syndrome." Down is the surname of the man behind the syndrome - TO THE WRITER (I left my copy at home and cannot really quote exactly).
And to say that she has "found herself" and that Barack Obama hasn't - because he is well traveled and she isn't. Because he is well rounded and diverse and has lived many different place in this beautiful country that he wants to "run?" This means he hasn't found himself? Oh, I guess you had to make a reason why it was a good thing that Sarah Palin hasn't really been out of Alaska much.
If you want to say good things about someone, or make them look good, the best thing to do is talk about the reasons why the person is so good - instead of why someone else is so bad. That way you would have said more about Sarah than you have said about what you want America to think once we read your article.
P.S. I don't like any of the candidates...but I would like to hear more comparisons between the two vice-presidential nominees. I don't hear arguments about why McCain is better than Joe Biden. It's like "let's find someone to put up against the Black man." I'm not into politics, and I'm sure anyone who is was able to see right through this article - even sooner than I.

Is this the best our country has to offer? Palin abused her powers as governor to harass her ex brother-in-law: unethical, unChristian and illegal. For a governor to have a judge instruct her to knock-off the vindictive behavior is not just embarrassing -- it demonstrates her genuine contempt for the rights of others she doesn't especially like. Why does this concern me, I wonder...

  • Posted By: mezzosoprano @ 09/11/2008 5:48:07 PM

Sarah Palin abused her powers as governor to harass her ex-brother-in-law. She is ambitious, sure -- but also plays too loose with the rules of ethical & legal conduct. Echoes of Dick Nixon & Dick Cheney? ENOUGH!

Enter Your Comment So what, about a business called Red Neck . The word Red Neck is not offensive to Red Necks... I know my husband is one and he is proud of it.... Do you belive in the bible? If you do then you should know what a sin is.... We are sinful.. everyone of us are..... and as far as the conversion of gays... Thats because of the verse: a man should not lay down with another man. Its considered a sin but so is a lot of everything we do in our everyday lives... So the prayer is constant about sins not just gay... Why did you single them out... There is so many other sins like Divorce, but it may be for a very good reason... Or Gossip ,or well ,all kinds of stuff.... But I guess you dont believe in the bible or you would know all of this... .... Do you support the Big Bang theory or something? Because you know scientists are disproving that right now as we speak...

Comment: You are having a hard time finding it because there isnt one.... Oh wait community leader.... There you go, Obama's career : Community Leader... ha

Palin is one of those kind of people who believes they do everything right and better than others. God help anyone who gets in her and McCain's way. Dick Chaney will look like a *** cat compare to bass balls Palin.

    • Posted By: teacherbarbie @ 09/11/2008 11:31:23 AM

You spelled the name Cheney wrong. It does not have an " a " in the spelling. You might want to check that sort of thing before you post!

I'm curious about the photo on page 29 of the September 15 issue of Newsweek which shows Sarah Palin "wrapped up in it" - literally wrapped up in the US Flag. Had her advisors/handlers not read the Guidelines for Display of the Flag issued by the US Department of Veteran Affairs? There it states under the heading of Other Things Not To Do With the Flag - "Out of respect for the U.S. Flag never ....use it as wearing apparel..." IIt appears to me Sarah Palin is wearing the Flag in a manner that constitutes disrepect. This from someone whose party reprimanded Barack Obama for not wearing the tiny Flag lapel pin! It is worth reading the Other Things Not to Do with the Flag because I think Sarah is committing several of the points outlined there that show disrepect for our country's Flag.

I share the same sentiments as Lovly, yeah... just imagine something happening to McCain shortly after becoming president of the USA he dies or has to leave office cos of illness or something, I don't see palin taking over and doing a good job, lol she would probaly be talking about lunch tickets at ther children's school or saying she's busy taking care of her daughter's baby. Oh boy the soap opera of American politics just gets crazier and crazier. I think that we need to take this election think more seriously becos the position of a being the President of the US is the highest office in the world we don't need a old geezer who don't know crap about running the country or his sidekick house mom with a confused and malfunction family playing dolly house in the white house. Especially when we are facing problems such as a recession and a weak economy

  • Posted By: marysusanna @ 09/07/2008 3:54:56 PM

And one more thing... Sarah's life, everything she's ever done is right there for anyone to see or know. And John McCain, too, a man who has fought the fight. He has courage and he's proven it with his life. He has wisdom than could only be gained from living the life he did. What a wonderful team!
The facts of Obama's life are scetchy at best. There was a lot left out of his bio. Who is he really?
Oh, by the way, I wonder who Osama Bin Ladin would vote for if he could, or the president of Iran or the rest of those terrorist OVER THERE.

    • Posted By: fccFH @ 09/09/2008 11:16:59 AM

And considering that Osama Bin Laden and the rest cannot vote here, it is kind of a moot issue.

      • Posted By: marysusanna @ 09/10/2008 2:07:49 PM

Is it moot that Osama bin Laden sent those planes over here, that his crowd set this nightmare in motion? HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN!!! Would you say that had an affect on our economy, our national security, our freedom, gas prices, war....? Is that MOOT!

        • Posted By: fccFH @ 09/11/2008 11:04:48 AM

Can you read? Again- he cannot vote here. And by the way, just to get you up to speed with the rest of us- Obama and Osama are two different people. Your racism is quite unnerving.

Palin was a Catholic and now she's not. Palin was for the bridge to nowhere and then she kept the money and opposed the bridge. Palin was for banning books then she wasn't. Palin dosen't favor talking to teens about sex.....fine idea grandma!

I've never before ventured out to speak what was on my mind.

But I have to tell you ... hearing Sarah Palin... refusing to take reporters questions reminds me of President Bush refusing to answer whether he ever "inhaled" or why he refused to discuss where he was when he was suppose to be doing "active duty time" as a reservist.... If we admire "taking the High ground" as admirable then I'm sure were in for the same 4 or 8 years we have just endured.

It's a tribute to technology that it is possible to read "the nations pulse" and then create a platform that mirrors it in an effort to win votes. But... we have to realize that it is not real... It is manipulation... we are being manipulated.

While I didn't vote republican before and I'm certainly not going to in this election... I am going to speak - up and tell you what I'm seeing.

I thing the saying goes something like this... fool me once ... okay... fool me twice... shame on me.

    • Posted By: spiritedbrunette @ 09/07/2008 2:01:49 PM

Why should she take questions by the media just to be ridiculed and humiliated by them? They are trying to destroy her just like they did Clinton. They are all in the tank for Obama plain and simple. I hope she never gives them an interview.

      • Posted By: payattentionnow @ 09/10/2008 5:05:50 PM

Yeah, because then she'd have to explain this......

"So Sambo beat the bitch!??? This is how Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin described Barack Obama???s win over Hillary Clinton to political colleagues in a restaurant a few days after Obama locked up the Democratic Party presidential nomination. According to Lucille, the waitress serving her table at the time and who asked that her last name not be used, Gov. Palin was eating lunch with five or six people when the subject of the Democrat???s primary battle came up. The governor, seemingly not caring that people at nearby tables would likely hear her, uttered the slur and then laughed loudly as her meal mates joined in appreciatively. ???It was kind of disgusting,??? Lucille, who is part Aboriginal, said in a phone interview after admitting that she is frightened of being discovered telling folks in the ???lower 48??? about life near the North Pole. Then, almost with a sigh, she added, ???But that???s just Alaska.??? Racial and ethnic slurs may be ???just Alaska??? and, clearly, they are common, everyday chatter for Palin. Besides insulting Obama with a Step-N???-Fetch-It, ???darkie musical??? swipe, people who know her say she refers regularly to Alaska???s Aboriginal people as ???Arctic Arabs??? ??? how efficient, lumping two apparently undesirable groups into one ugly description ??? as well as the more colourful ???mukluks along with the totally unimaginative ???f**king Eskimo???s,??? according to a number of Alaskans and Wasillians interviewed for this article. But being openly racist is only the tip of the Palin iceberg. According to Alaskans interviewed for this article, she is also vindictive and mean. We???re talking Rove mean and Nixon vindictive.
So much for McCain???s pledge of a ???high road??? campaign; Palin is incapable of being part of one.

    • Posted By: marysusanna @ 09/07/2008 3:17:36 PM

NEWS FLASS! This ticket is for McCain/Palin. Thank God the Bush years are over. Just look at the service records of Bush and McCain to see how different they are!!! Those two don't even like each other. Do you remember what Bush did to McCain in 2000. Oh, well I'm sure some of you don't.

  • Posted By: YankeeRebel @ 09/03/2008 8:34:54 PM

As a Washington outsider she brings the change we need. 85-90% of Alaskans approves of her as their governor. What other state can claim that? She keeps her promises and sticks to her guns. Follw through and committment, she walks the walk. McCain could not have made a better choice.

    • Posted By: payattentionnow @ 09/10/2008 4:20:53 PM

SHE HAS THE APPROVAL OF 569,545 PEOPLE.....WOW!!

    • Posted By: devon41 @ 09/06/2008 1:14:50 PM

If she keeps her promises and sticks to her guns, why di d she support the famouos bridge to nowhere and then turn against it?

  • Posted By: alwell @ 09/10/2008 2:37:08 PM

There are a reason why she will not interview. She opened a business named "Red Neck".She has two pastors: one who called America a sinful nation which will face the wrath of god,and the other who calls for the conversion of gays thru prayer. 300 days of 'per diem for working at home. Supported the 'bridge to nowhere". Obtained more "earmarked "money per citizen than any current memeber of Congress. She is an identified member of a secessionist party , The Alaskan Independent Party(Read the actual statement by the Party leader). Lied about her foreign travel experienceby stating she traveled to Europe(she was an intransit in Ireland and never left the airport). Beautiful chassis but no one is looking under the hood.

    • Posted By: K Brock @ 09/10/2008 3:59:13 PM

It has already been debunked by CBS that she was not a member of a secessionist party; the Red Neck was in French, Rouge Cou. The marketing business never started. You ever hear of sarcasm? She is a sharp, esthetical official. Get used to her ??? she is going to by your next VP, and very possibly your president after that. Ohhh MY GOD!!!! Is that what the Clintons and the Democrats really fear? Hmmm. I might have something hear. What do you think ??? public?

Where in my post did i say that I was going to move anywhere else? I said I am scared to raise children here. I am scared that my child might not learn about sex education in school, that science might be taken out of curriculum and that religion will be taught instead. That if a woman is raped and becomes pregnant that she will not have the CHOICE to abort it. I agree America is great, but I don't agree in trying to push our believes on other countries. Osama Bin Laden is not in Iraq, we aren't going after him anymore, the war that is going on is for another reason entirely. Don't try to use the excuse that Bush is protecting our country by letting our brave men and women die over there. He is doing it for his own selfish reasons. And KBrock, I don't need you either, but I am still smart enough to listen to what you have to say without passing judgment on you. Try to be open minded sometime. It is really quite refreshing.
