I am sure we can all agree that Palin is a product of her Alaskan environment. She loves to hunt but she wants to drill the ANWR. She lists caribou stew as a favorite dish but she's against protecting the polar bears and denies the human influence on climate change. She hired a guy from Washington to go after earmarks while she was major of Wasilla because that is what you do when you are a politician from Alaska: go after and get federal money. It's their politicians' form of big game hunting while they cultivate their auras of rugged individualism. But Palin is not just an Alaskan; she is her own brand. She's a mother of five but has voted against funding for social programs for women, children, and health concerns. From the firing of the librarian in Wasilla to Trooperate, she is dogged by reports she has abused the executive power of her office, whether it's mayor or governor, and Alaska gives its governor very strong executive powers. Her combination of evangelical Christianity and extreme anti-choice stance combined with her limited experience and education make her a dangerous choice to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. And let's talk about McCain. Sure he has a 96 old mother, and you could say he has longevity in his genes, but he will be 72 years old if elected, the oldest first term President. Plus, he has had been diagnosed with melanoma four times. In 2000 the cancerous lesion removed from his temple was not just a superficial cancer; it was a 2B cancer that means he is at risk for it to go within over the next 10 years, and there are three years to go. If the melanoma goes inside his body, he will be dead in months. Plus, he was diagnosed with another melanoma lesion in 2006. No American corporation would hire John McCain as CEO because of his age and health risks; why should the American presidency be any different? And, in my opinion, choosing an extreme, power-happy, and undereducated person such as Sarah Palin as his running mate only exacerbates the weakest part of the mcCain candidacy: his age and health.

All we hear from Sarah Palin is scripted talking points. The American people need to be able to ask the questions. Don't the Republicans trust what she might say? Is she just a Bush puppet? I'm so sick of question after question being avoided by spewing talking points and no concrete answers being given.

This woman is an absolute disgust. She is against free speech, can't manage being a mother and a politician, is for earmarks, agains the environment, for higher taxes on the poor and middle class, against sex education. C'mon people WAKE UP!!!!! She has also been known to spout racist and sexist comments.

do you really have to look at someone's "degree"? Okay, he has a law degree and she has a journalism degree, who has more qualification and experience in running a public "CEO"? Oh YES, it's Sarah Palin and NOT Obama...I have nothing to say.......

Obama doesn???t know what he is doing bottom line. He has not been a leader of anything. Joe Biden is full of himself with his comment of "my wife is drop dead gorgeous and has a PhD and that???s a problem, what kind of ego centric VP is this Hoe Biden.
The democrats and their candidates O-biden are in a panic and are scrambling. They and the liberal news media are out to bash the republican candidates, especially the VP. What they dont get is the more they bash with lies the more people are driven to listen to her speeches and once people do that they are hooked on Palin. Palin, who totally rocks would be able to bring it ON! If she ever had to step in for McCain, don???t kid yourself. Obama on the other hand is weak and only votes present 80% of the time,would go hide behind the sofa when that call would come in at 3 am.
News Update: We run small business and one of our long time customers came in and told us dont believe a thing about what is being said about Sarah Palin. This lady knew her quite well and lived in Wasilla, and worked with her on some projects when she was younger.
This customer said the person who was fired wasn???t doing his job of brining in new recruits and getting rid of those who were not working out. The state trooper was MIA he was suppose to be in certain areas and was not too many donuts. That same state trooper who everyone is crying over he used a taser on his own son.

Bottom line is you don???t do your jobee you get fired.

Why is the press being prevented from asking her questions? If the Republicans are truly about a transparent administration, let the electorate hear her answers to questions posed not manipulated by spin doctors on either side? The current Republican stance is offensive to independent voters.

I saw the headline "concern about future leader's mental health" and thought it was about Sara Palin - then I saw that it was in Pakistan! We indeed have some mental issues here - dragging a newborn with down syndrome in the arms of a pregnant unwed teenaged daughter shows a shocking lack of judgment and care. there's an ego a mile wide there, and it has a mentally ill feel to it. I shudder to imagine a chief executive with the kind of nutty bravura. And her unapologetic hate speech - after Obama had said to leave Palin alone - showed what kind of ethics and morals this person has - sadly wanting.
