    Comment: Taxes:

-Those making between $250,000 and $400,000 annually will have less than $1,500 increase in their taxes. (These people are not complaining. Joe is not one of these people.)

-Those making more than $3 Million annually will pay only 23%.

This will PAY FOR the tax cuts given to the middle class.
This WILL NOT INCREASE THE DEFICIT!

    Calculate your taxcut: http://taxcut.barackobama.com/

    ...................

McCain has a Santa Clause approach to tax cutting. He wants to make cuts, but has not identified how it will be paid for. This will never pass Congress.

McCAIN'S TAX PLAN (or slogan) WILL WILL INCREASE THE DEFICIT!

Get your specific McCain Tax info (if available)

    McCain has slogans not plans.

Comment: McCain's only "Maverick" act is being absent 61% of the time he has been a congressman, which makes him "present" only 9.6 yrs out of 26. Out of those 9.6 years, he spent 7.6 of them VOTING with Bush. So there are really only about 2 yrs where McCain was not just a lap puppet for bush, and that was when he was working with the Keating boys ;)

As for Palin, yeah, being investigated for ethics violations, prego teen daughter, YEAH to Christians, Palin is a Maverick ;) she goes against everything thsy believe in except ABORTION.

    What "Mavericks"...LMAO still...

Comment: Your problem is that ''shared sacrifice''is the very codeword for :

Socialism, which is not a held American ideology to its vast majority[yes, including Democrats]. It's presence thus creates suspicions of the lack of ''patriotism'',without descending to your bovine observation that we accuse Obamaites of being ''jihadi lovers'',which this poster,at least, has never done. Rather,JFK did not live long enough to see the gap between the ''pre''and ''post''Vietnam generations[and philosophies],which,as a 1974 Nobel Prize winner in economics observed, sees that the one.[the post -antiwars,the post-hippies,the pro-socialists'',the new liberals and left],seek to tax goods, wages and services and behold them to the State to create ''level''social fields],while the [''pre's-the WWII -Cold War generations of the pro-militarist,small government, and ''law and order'' conservative],seeks to tax or behold social mores to that of the State[abortion, gay marriage, drug use,''death with dignity''and the like].
One will remain largely inert.[gay marriage is increasigly accepted, abortion is going nowhere, and ''death with dignity''is viewed in a purely Federalist ideal]. Yet when we see what effect wealth re-distribution can have on ''shared sacrifice'',not merely goods and services are affected, but world markets and economies, leading to wars, conflicts, unemployment, recession[real, not phony],and even depression]. One will agree that gay marriage is not a thing that you spend. Yet one cannot live without a paycheck.

Comment: In expanding on this,we look to Barack Obamas own tax plan. In it,we observe the threshold whereby those who pay no federal taxes whatever at a minimum earnings level[18,682$ per annum],would yet each garner 557$ a year in tax refunds.[this of course rises with child credits, and other deductions divorced from the non-taxable 18 grand wage threshold]. Obviously along with college assistance, universal health care, renewable energy divorced from any consideration of fossil fuels exploitation, government mortgage assistance, this 557$ for each of these is going to have to come from somewhere. The ''rich''who admittedly only make up 1% ,will not be enough. To ''level''this field, the threshold of those deemed to have enough to support the have-nots,will begin to drop[same as it did in 1993-1994 before the ''Contract with America''GOP takeover, which was at heart, a tax revolt by Americans]. Thus we will no longer be even talking about the 250-Granders. It will go to 80,70,60 and less. The sheer numbers of supplicants even removed from Social Security concerns,[i.e.social reformers, enviros, infrastructure demands],will dry the money lake, and it will be finally, the broad middle class that will foot the bill. The ''level''field that Obama seeks, but does not mention its final cost. Particularly to those he needs to get him to the White House.

Comment: Obama isn't "the new JFK"--he's better than that, because he doesn't have Kennedy's macho need to prove himself with mistakes like the Bay of Pigs invasion or the escalation of U.S. involvement in Vietnam.

Comment: Very insightful article. I have a couple of things, the two candidates haven't been measured using the same yardstick. I know this article is about Obama, but I was going to vote for McCain , until I did my research.(Mccain cheated on his 1st wife and Cindy McCain is a drug addict and thief. Think what would happen if that were the Obamas). So my vote was up for grabs. My point is this, why the need for him to be all things? 'He's not tough enough' , but when he hits back, 'So much for the agent of change'. I really enjoyed your article, but 'JFK" wasn't "JFK' until after a couple of years after his election. It could be argued that JFK was Obama in the LA Coliseum during his convention. JFK legacy cannot be truly or honestly compared to any Pres., as he has become a great historical figure. Who is often used as a reference point for greatness in our time. His challenges were unique to his time. The irony, the direction he was moving the country in has come full circle this election season. Now, how do we measure up to that great legacy. Do we go on faith or do we fall back on our ugly fears?

Comment: Yesterday, these are all things repigs can say, even though his case is totally gay, oh they will CLING to yesterday.
Suddenly, Obama is the man that cares for "WE", McCain's not half the man he used to be. Barack Obama is backed by "WE"

Why he had to be half black I don't and I don't care, but repigs think it's wrong and they long for yesterday.

    Please sing along ;)

Comment: Barack Hussein Obama, "I knew JFK. He was a friend of mine and you are no JFK!" Remember that quote?

Comment: Hey LIAR, this is your lord and savior, JC, and you DID NOT KNOW JFK and in fact you may be suspect in his killing. REMEBER THAT QUOTE!

Isn't it ironic: Xerox is hoping it can profit by teaching companies how to reduce their printing.
