Hahahahahaha. This is a great day for the Obama supporters. Here is a woman, who wants to sue the Government, because she wants the polor bears of the endangered species list, so she can go and hunt and kill them. This is a woman with no experience and they expect her to go up against Biden. Thanks McCain. Your insult to those Hillary supporters have just cost you the election. Keep drinking your prune juice. Oh, where are my buddies.........debunked, holy roller. You must be drinking that prune juice also and using the bathroom.

    • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 7:17:01 PM

Debunked said she had to think over Mr. McCain awful pick, then said "people in her office told her how wonderful Ms. Palin was", then she said she was going back to McCain because of Mr. Obama's church. Big surprise. She was never a democrat. Never. Mr. HolyRoller is probably checking on the validity of Ms. Palin birth certificate with his endless resources and friends.

This woman is nothing but Republican window dressing, picked solely for the hope of bringing in women voters. She has no depth of experience to offer whatsoever, only estrogen. It's a good plan-after all, with no experience she wouldn't be able to get in McCain's way. If he dies in office, she'd be the mouthpiece for the more-experienced members of his administration. There are plenty of women with much more experience who could have done the job; McCain has insulted women everywhere with his superficial and transparent choice. Once again, a Republican puts personal gain before what would be best for the country.

  • Posted By: laurenba10 @ 08/29/2008 7:05:13 PM

Anyone voting to put yet another Republican in the Whitehouse should do some quick checking of recent history and realieze the US and the world can afford for that to be done. There is not an argument in this world that can defend what Bush and the Republicans have done to all of us.

  • Posted By: wildlifeusa @ 08/29/2008 5:37:28 PM

Please, all vermin republicans, why don't you move back to the middle ages, the middle east would be a perfect place for you all!

Good grief... you again? I remember you from a few nights ago... you're the American hating weasel who can live in any one of 25 different countries but "chooses" to live here.

      Take a hike yourself, J.O.

I am not an american hater, I am a neo fascist hater, there is a very big difference.

All the nurses I work with are talking about how impressed they are with Sarah Palin! Yes!
and this is the first time I have heard them be excited about any of the candidates.
    BRAVO McCain.

    • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 3:56:18 PM

They're not very excited here. I think you're making that up. Unless they are ALL against choice. Are nurses 100 percent against choice, equal pay? They like the C-word? Trollop? Maybe they're war-mongers? Let me guess, they like her experience, right? Perhaps they think it's cute how she drops her "ing's" when she talks. Together they can drill for oil and solve all our problems. Maybe we can go fight Russians next year. Those North Koreans, Iranians and Chinese know we're not short-handed. So, when the small percentage of the world that likes us, absolutely hates us, we can say the nurses were for her. She even knows how to shoot.

      • Posted By: loriw. @ 08/29/2008 6:43:01 PM

Actually they are all about choice and they are chosing McCain-Palin. And as much as you would want to believe that I am making this up...I'm NOT! Several said they were undecided but aren't anymore, that they are voting for the McCain-Palin ticket.

        • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 7:01:50 PM

Life:Choice is about 50-50, NRA is 28, and the war is 23. How did they all miss that? All of them.

    • Posted By: Young Hickory @ 08/29/2008 3:56:56 PM

They don't even know her. What impresses them?

      • Posted By: ltnelson @ 08/29/2008 6:03:39 PM

Give me a break. You can find plenty about her online. She has been on his short list for months. She is the governor of a state! Has 5 kids! Juggles home and work. Why wouldn't women doing similiar things be impressed?

        • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 6:47:13 PM

Sure. She is impressive. But, she has a Alaska-centric profile.

      • Posted By: loriw. @ 08/29/2008 6:39:47 PM

They are still talking about her professionalism, her spunk , "her gutsiness" and her ability to sucessfully raise a large family and have a great marriage while holding down a job as governor. Their first impressions, like mine, are very, very positive. They watched her speech on their lunch breaks and are finding information about her on the internet. Haven't heard one negative yet from any of them. Palin exudes confidence and ability. It came across loud and clear in her speech. I hadn't seen my co-workers this excited in months.

    • Posted By: kle5507 @ 08/29/2008 4:19:12 PM

STOP abusing the laughing gas! Y'all will see more clearly after some fresh air.

  • Posted By: loriw. @ 08/29/2008 4:04:31 PM

I can totally relate to Sarah Palin. Like she was I am currently in city government. It is not easy for a woman to be in government. Just after I started in my position I was approached by an incumbent City Councilman who attempted to intimidate me over a policy that I voted in favor of---randomized drug screening for ALL city employees, police, fire, legal, council, me, him everyone! So here I am, 5 foot and a smidge and here is this 6 foot plus councilman. Well let me tell you....I am serving in my 3rd term and will most likely have a 4th. The councilman...well he's no longer in politics. My husband should have warned him that he picked on the wrong woman!
    Gov. Palin....YOU GO GIRL!!!!

    • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 4:41:04 PM

You may be more qualified. I thought you were a nurse.

      • Posted By: loriw. @ 08/29/2008 6:47:37 PM

        I am....
        I hold down 2 jobs!
If you had been around here for any length of time you would have already known that.

        • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 6:58:18 PM

I'm sorry I have not been here as long as you. But since I was not, explain why you hate Ms. Clinton so much, claimed to be a Democrat, then transferred emotionally to absolute Republican, then decided that a VP selection from Alaska is qualified. Ms. SJPersonal said you switched around like this. But I'm new here.

  • Posted By: nancysabet @ 08/29/2008 5:02:22 PM

Great choice McCain, thank you. I'll be voting for your ticket.
    A Hillary supporter

yeah and abandoning everything hillary stands for. thats just assinine

      • Posted By: George from Westerville @ 08/29/2008 5:22:48 PM

jnakhoul, good point. Of course, doubtful this nancy person is a Hillary supporter, and probably isn't a female, more than likely an RNC plant trying to influence that small but important group of people that truly are undecided.

  • Posted By: slaugh @ 08/29/2008 4:00:45 PM

.How selfish--" the family felt blessed". One wonders if Trig will feel blessed after living 40-50 years. I very much doubt it.

    • Posted By: funkdome @ 08/29/2008 4:05:01 PM

What a disgusting statement. From your hateful rhetoric, it appears that you hate life yourself. Wouldn't you had been better off if your parents had aborted you?

      • Posted By: loriw. @ 08/29/2008 6:45:20 PM

slaugh supports the infaticide candidate...need I say more?

      • Posted By: ElGuapo @ 08/29/2008 5:35:31 PM

Watching my sister-in-law and her family deal with the adulthood of their female downs syndrome child dealing with the overwhelming problems of birth control and safety, and their tearful admission on how much it has impacted and harmed the quality of life of their two other daughters tells me there is more to the topic than Mr. funkdome realizes. The debate on both sides of this subject is usually argued by people who have never been impacted by this or who feel they have the right to tell others what their moral obligations are when it comes to this even if it will never affect them. Lastly and more importantly a single choice on a single topic does not in and of itself, qualify someone for President or Vice President.

    • Posted By: ltnelson @ 08/29/2008 5:53:21 PM

Down syndrome people always seem to have a smile on their faces in my experience. And I don't know that their lifespans are usually so long.

Calling it selfish is pretty demented...

    • Posted By: Rick James @ 08/29/2008 5:27:45 PM

So you would have rather killed the baby, ea? You ARE a SLIMEY SLAUGH alright!

  • Posted By: seti2008 @ 08/29/2008 6:41:44 PM

How do you say, Patronizing and lack of judgment?

  • Posted By: shortjames @ 08/29/2008 4:13:57 PM

In the end it really just comes down to realizing that Sarah Palin is a candidate first and a woman second.
Her views are those of the extreme right wing of the Republican party. She is clearly in the pocket of Big Oil, and is both anti-science and anti-choice. As long as Biden confronts her head on in the debates and isnt tempted to pull any punches I dont see her as any better or worse than any other VP choice for McCain. Women make their voting choices just like men, There are some Hillary supporters who were only there for her because she was a woman. Those wll vote for Palin by reflex. But there are also plenty of Hillary supporters who were there for her policies, and they are not likely to make a knee-jerk decision.

    • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 4:37:12 PM

      Good comments.

      • Posted By: Skypoint @ 08/29/2008 6:08:06 PM

Extremne right? Palin has fought corrupiton on both sides of the aisle. She challenged a corrupt system and passed a unprecidented ethics reform bill. She challenged the influence of the big oil companies, and at the same time has fought for the development of new energy resources. So she's pro-life... that doesn't make her an extremist.

        • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 6:39:37 PM

I believe you are right. I should have said that she tows the line. She has - as far as war, abortion, animal rights, guns, gay rights, women's rights, environment and legislation - complete Rep values. Extreme was extreme. Sorry.

      • Posted By: ltnelson @ 08/29/2008 5:39:14 PM

Obviously it isn't going to get him all of Hillary's supporters. But he doesn't need them all...

  • Posted By: seti2008 @ 08/29/2008 6:38:12 PM

McCain blocked himself into a hole. Does anyone really think tat women democrats are going to vote for a female version of Mitt Romney? One thing's for sure, McCain can no longer use the supposed inexperience of Obama in his tactics. I don't want Palin for president, if McCain kicks the bucket while in office.

  • Posted By: LondonInNY @ 08/29/2008 6:25:43 PM

Dr. Larry Hunter (former U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Chief Economist): "The Republican Party is a dead rotting carcass with a few decrepit old leaders stumbling around like zombies in a horror version of 'Weekend With Bernie,' handcuffed to a corpse."

Now they have handcuffed the corpse to a MILF with no experience. OLD MAN & The MILF may sound like a Hemingway Classic but it seems like something for the Lifetime Channel. We call know that McCain is a Neocon Trojan Horse. McCain's Advisors, Karl Rove & Bill Kristol made this pick in a dual appeal to Evangelicals and Hillary's disgruntled voters. McCain is a guinea pig or a Neocon Frankenstein. The Neocons wants to see what is possible to get past Americans politically.

Did anyone besides me hear the female commentator on CNN refer to the speech that Sarah Palin made as
    "the little speech she made.."
Who in the CNN world hired that moron to comment on Sarah Palin's speech?
I can't wait until the conservatives get ahold of that sound bite and demonstrate how much CNN is in the tank for Obama. CNN can't even hire women who respect women that have actually ACCOMPLISHED something other than blabber into the camera. I hope she (the female commentator) loses her job over that "little" word of hers.
Find it the comment was made at just about 2pm Indiana time

    • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 3:19:37 PM

Goodness. I hope you don't have an executive position. Who said trollop anyway? Should he be fired? Did he say anything else that one mind find offensive?

      • Posted By: loriw. @ 08/29/2008 6:16:41 PM

        you make absolutely no sense!

    • Posted By: kle5507 @ 08/29/2008 3:21:24 PM

Oh like FOX Noise is not in the tank for the GOP? I head the speech. It was no Joe Bidden speech. She sounded like she's at the PTA meeting. I can't wait for the VP debate. You're not in Kansas any more Dorothy!

Funny think about McCain and his age, at one time in a not so distant history and widely accepted by civilizations STILL around the world, the older people in society were and are considered the most wise because of experience.

    • Posted By: Spacer @ 08/29/2008 2:45:00 PM

Not all elderly people are wise. McCain is living proof that wisdom doesn't necessarily come with experience and age.

      • Posted By: loriw. @ 08/29/2008 6:10:59 PM

we aren't talking about every elderly person we are talking about one, McCain.
The Warren forum showed us how undeveloped Obama ethical and moral positions are and that shows a definite LACK of wisdom....he hasn't reached that "pay grade" yet.

      • Posted By: jobumex @ 08/29/2008 2:49:51 PM

        Spacer,

Yes, I guess you could say that in response to wisdom coming with age, however McCain has proven decision making abilities, one of the areas we should you DEFINITELY CANNOT DENY is that McCain lives with is decisions.

        • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 3:22:04 PM

War, oil, guns, economy, gas-break. Yep he is proven. Just like Ms. Palin.

And how wise was it for Obama to choose wright as his spiritual advisor and mentor? The man preaches hatred and racism. Yes I know... old news, but so are your arguements here

            • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/29/2008 4:52:16 PM

He didn't speak racism and hatred any more than you do. Aargh. Kill the commies. Aargh. Is that even relevant anymore? have you not read the fact-checks or articles. I guess he's a Muslim terrorist too. Flagpin maybe? Oh! UnAmerican - that's the one. Aargh. Semper Fi.

Wisdom does not equal good judgement. McSame wanted to invade IRAQ weeks after 9-11. I guess spending 5-1/2 years as a POW in solitary confinement can make a man CRAZY. Let's face it, McSame doesn't have the temperment to be President. He maybe a good man, loves his country, even funny and jovial based on what I've seen. But he's not presidential material. Not every 72 years old makes a good president. The presidency is a young man's game. i.e. Lincoln, Kennedy, Clinton, T.R. You need more than just wisdom. You need judgement. And judgement is a gift, not a skill crafted by age.

      • Posted By: loriw. @ 08/29/2008 6:08:13 PM

"Wisdom does not equal good judgement"? since when?

    • Posted By: jnakhoul @ 08/29/2008 5:39:11 PM

i know many an old fool. its not about age

  • Posted By: alaskajulia @ 08/29/2008 6:08:36 PM

Speaking as an Alaskan, I can say that she is WILDLY unqualified for this office. She's under investigation by the legislature for ethics violations. Talk about ZERO foreign policy experience. I don't even know how much she's traveled.

  • Posted By: clwriter @ 08/29/2008 6:07:04 PM

Do the Republicans really think that anyone who supported Hillary Clinton would vote for the Republican ticket just bcause Palin is now on it for obvious reasons? All the reasons why women like myself supported Hillary are exactly why we will not support a conservative like Palin who actually said she "was not very interested in the war in Iraq" and is against a women's right to choose. I think John McCain just doesn't get it again!!

  • Posted By: alaskajulia @ 08/29/2008 6:05:56 PM

Speaking as an Alaskan, I can tell you that she is WILDLY unqualified for this job. She's only held state office since 2006. She's under investigation by the legislature for ethics violations. I have no idea why John McCain thought she was qualified for this position. She has ZERO foreign policy experience.

  • Posted By: benluclar @ 08/29/2008 2:37:07 PM

John McCain, you just PULLED THE BIGGEST COUP in HISTORY.
    HOOOORRRRAAAAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This woman is behind you ONE HUNDRED PERCENT!
Thank you, God, and thank you John McCain!

    • Posted By: loriw. @ 08/29/2008 6:02:49 PM

and so is this woman and all of my women co-workers.

  • Posted By: hmmmmm @ 08/29/2008 2:32:59 PM

greenie27, you don't sound like a democrat with that statement about the woman should stay home and take care of her kids, not out in the workforce. Why on earth are you voting for Obama? What on earth do you see in him besides an ability to give a rousing speech (where almost every phrase begins with "I")?

    • Posted By: loriw. @ 08/29/2008 6:02:02 PM

Is there and "I" in COUNTRY?

    • Posted By: kle5507 @ 08/29/2008 2:57:34 PM

I guess hmmmmmm doesn't understand satire. Let me explain slowly, greenie27 is mocking the position long held by all GOP that women should stay home, be barefoot and pregnant. A wife needs to submit willingly and fully to her ManGod (Husband) in all aspects (physically, mentally, financially). This is the GOP way! Since Ms. P has a mentally challenged child, in the GOP mold, shouldn't she be working especially hard to looking after her child? Again, S-A-T-I-R-E.

Let's see, why would anyone vote for the Big O. #1. He's everything that Dubya (GWH) isn't, that is he's smart, introspective, accepts responsibiilty, respects the constitution and loves his country too much to let it fail like this. #2, he has a plan to get us out of this economic mess and to end the stupid wasteful war in IRAQ. #3, he's not in the pocket of special interest like McSame. He's got a good temperment and won't flip out like McSame. #4, He acutely articulate the hopes and dreams of the DEMs. #5, he'll restore integrity to the Presidental Office and once again USA will be a shinning beacon for the world. #6, he won't torture! #7, he'll be around for the entire 8 years since McSame can croak any time. #8, He'll stop the US gov't from spying on it's citizens. #9, He'll restore confidence to Justice Department to make sure that laws are enforced on everyone and not just against DEM like the GONZO the clown. #10, He's been right about IRAQ all along. I can probably give you 20 more but I'm not sure you can count pass 20 without being nake (HAHAHA - being satircal)

      Big-O all the way!
