For someone who has served in his current position for 143 days...that's OJT....and then thinks so highly of himself that he spends the next 19 months on the road, from town and town, and still being paid for his senatorial position is ridiculious...IT's pompous to imagine going to work at McDonalds one day then two days later deciding that you are so damn good, you're going to become CEO int he next month....Something is just not right about this guys thinking....143 days at a NEW JOB is not ADEQUATE for this particular job...

Obama is short on any accomplishments. He can talk and is loved by the corrupt American media, who has lost all objectivity. Obama has to basically lie as his resume is so thin he could not get a job in corporate America given his lack of meaningful plans. I am fascinated with your math bosco123. What hole did you pull that out of? While we are "fact checking" have you ever stopped to look at Obama's health plan? Or anyhting other tahn your fantazy world? No one, and specifically no one in Obama's campaign has even remotly proposed "free health care for everyone" which I think is what your rant is based on. One consideration that is almost universally overlooked is how much the cost is today of not having a universaly available care insurance program, which is not the same thing as a "free universal care program" . One of McCains staffers this week proposed that what we should do is just send everyone to the emergency room. ER care is incredibly expensive and it is currently costing the taxpayers a bundle already for uninsured patients. My state estimates it costs $750 per year average per taxpayer. That is only the state costs and doesn't count the federal and higher health care costs to payees to cover lost revenue from patients that hospitals never recover. One benifit of a universally available health care system would be a considerable reduction in those costs. Check your facts.

I look forward to seeing the same rigor applied to fact checking John McCain's claims in his speech. That might go some way toward rectifying the slate of Republican opinion writers on the Newsweek staff, but probably wouldn't mesh with the conservative agenda of your editorial staff and owners.
