        Exactly. . . and the same reason applies as to why Obama has not attended even one Town Hall meeting with McCain (although back in early June, when McCain challenged him to do 10 Town Hall meetings he was on board with doing them, saying at that time , that is was a great idea).

        He definitely in no way was going to go on FOX to talk to O Reilly UNTIL he was the official nominee. No doubt in my mind.

          Like in any other contest, the front-runner calls the shots....which is how it should be. Let the trailer beg for a chance to catch up......kinda like HRC when she was begging for debates late in the 9th inning. Obama is up by 7% according to the RCP average, and is blowing McC out in the Electoral College. Actually, O's lead has increased since the GOP chose their guiea pig. The RCP average was 1.5% at that time.

            If the front-runner is to call the shots, why then did he make a promise to do TOWN HALL meetings and then turned around and did not keep them even though the voters were looking forward to seeing them in this type of forum ( All talk. . . another NOT walk the walk). I will tell you why: He was chicken. Wanted to play it safe all the way through cuz he knew if he had to be up on the stage next to McCain and getting peppered with random questions from the audience was 'risky' (that last debate on stage with Hillary with Stephanopoulous was the LAST one he agreed to cuz he was devasted as to the hard questions that he was asked and stuttered through. THAT was why he did not take on Hillary on any other one on one debate and that is why he is uncomfortable in a Town Hall meeting with his fellow candidate. Otherwise, YOU tell ME why he didnt do one Town Hall meeting . . . I thought so. ; 0 D

              What voters were looking forward to the townhall mtgs? No one I questioned cared. Same w/ HRC. By that time, nobody cared whether they debated again, not the majority anyway. Most folks saw right through it, and applauded O for not wasting his time.

              Call it strategy, call it fear, call it what you want, Share. The numbers speak for themselves. He maintained the lead in the primaries, and he's the front-runner now. The purpose is to maintain your lead w/ the American voters. Whatever his strategy, it's better than ANY of his opponents.

                You are right. . . the numbers do speak for themselves. And now Obama for the first time got a bump from the DNC convention (not 15pt like the media were saying that they expected). But an expected bump due to the DNC. Now , tonite, as we go into the weekend after the RNC we will see if the RNC gets their bump or not. But right up until the DNC , yeah, the numbers have been speaking for themselves (a dead heat in the months leading to the conventions, thus the reason Obama did not to chance messing up by doing debates with Mccain in a setting he is uncomfortable with, even though I know there are many people out there that DID want to see him in action and many that did not care cuz they also did not want him to mess up having to be by Mccain, side by side, wielding random questions comparing the two on how they react on his feet. Yeah, you can write it off as a strategy of safety, putting his saftey net ahead of the people who would have loved those debates. But alas. It just showed me that Obama is not a man that walks the walk.

It's almost as helpful as Keith Olbermann's ticker that counts the days since the GOP touted "Mission Accomplished" in Iraq.     This is funny. Sarah Palin was a journalism major in college and worked in the field. She could know just as much about world affairs as the guy who wrote this story, and since I'm sure he figures he knows everything, there should be no problem. Another funny thing, people who read and think about world affairs, which I will grant could include every journalist and professor of the subject, and who are very intelligent and quick witted could appear to know a hell-of-a-lot. The libs have already fallen into the trap of attacking her, they had better be careful if they take the bait of thinking that she is stupid.

    Democrats have to make sure that Joe Biden is at the top of his game when he debates Ms. Palin. If Biden, as he is wont to do, makes any intemperate remarks about Ms. Palin's lack of qualifications, an obvious and irrefutable fact, he may hurt the Democratic ticket. But he can't let her get away with making clever, sarcastic criticisms of the Democrats' "soft" foreign policy tactics, either. Biden must, to use an old sports cliche, "play within himself" to win that debate.

The plane could not sell on EBay so it was taken down and sold "privately for a lost".

Then Sarah tries to hide it with another lie by telling the school where Bristol attends that her daughter must drop out because she has Mono. Sarah continued to hold fast to the Mono lie until rumors break loose just after her VP announcement. It was only then the "abstinence-only" hypocrite came clean.

    September 03, 2008. So the mainstream media seems to now be letting up on the Palin baby drama, but we're not. MediaTakeOut.com just received evidence that calls into question whether Gov Palin's alleged son Trig was born when and where she claims.

    We conducted a preliminary search of the Mat-Su Regional hospital's website (where baby Trig was supposedly born on April 18th), and the website DOES NOT show any record of Trig's birth. Instead, the site shows that only 2 baby's were born in the hospital that day - an Isaiah Travis and a Kayden Lexus.

    It's still not enough for us to CONCLUSIVELY say that Gov Palin is full of it, but we're getting there. So now let's go with what we know AS FACT:

    1. Palin hid her pregnancy from the media. When she finally announced her pregnancy (in March) she was not showing any obvious signs of pregnancy despite being 7 MONTHS PREGNANT - Source.

    2. Gov. Palin mysteriously took her daughter Bristol out of school a few months before the March pregnancy announcement. The "official" reason for Bristol's removal from school was because she caught a serious case of Mononucleosis.

    3. During the time that Bristol was out of school with that "serious case of mono", Trig was born.

    4. No record of Trig's birth is readily available from the hospital which Palin claims to have delivered.

    5. And here is the kicker. Since Bristol is supposedly 5 months pregnant now, she must have conceived her child while she was out of school with that supposed serious case of mono.

If you read the researched article, or went even further(like most intelligent folks do before responding idiotically), you would have also taken notice of the actual hospital reports that does not have the baby's birth on file.

                1. As to Palin bashing Obama in her speech the other nite at the RNC. I would call it her responding to unpursued concerns people should have about Obama that the media does not cover given they are in the tank with Obama. And my question to you: Why would Palin not bash Obama the same way that Biden did about McCain in his RNC speech as VP? What is fair is fair.

                As for the 'exulting of McCain' by Palin, that is the duty of the VP, just as it was the duty of Biden to do the same for Obama in his speech.

                As for a Hillary comment? What did Palin say about her cuz I either dont remember it or missed it completely. Id be interested in knowing. . .

                Actually in a VPs introductory speech to the RNC it is not supposed to be filled with substance referring to details of policy stances, etc. as can be seen and heard with Bidens VP intorductory speech at the DNC. The details on the VPs talk about their Prez candidate's policies, issues and solutions, etc. will come out when both VPs do their debates in early October.

              And check out the gallup polls. Barry finally hit 50% on 9-2. The rise had to do with Clinton supporters switching to Barry. Post convention 81% supporting him. Pre 70% That's a jump from 47% - 65%. Today barry's at 49 - 42. down a point.

        You (and harley and summer 4077) could step forward and admit to the atrocity of those words and all the others. There is absolutely no excuse or justification for those words and the thousands of others I have read over the last seven months. The comments about Sen Clinton were in a league of their own. The jokes! about two teenagers can't even be categorized. Freedom of speech is one thing. Decorum and respect are another.

    Recently, you wrote that America would be judged as racist if we did not vote for BHO. Are you THAT bigoted against:
    American mothers,
    Native Americans,
    Special-needs children and their loving families,
    Union workers and their families,
    Fully involved husbands and fathers,
    Hard-working, independent, intelligent women,
    Families that embrace life and practice their faith (when Planned Parenthood is targeting minorities and your heritage just barely survived another recent Holocaust),
    Military volunteers and their families (when our minorities are carrying more than their share),
    Families that want a better public education than the union is dishing out.
    Even against faithful Roman Catholics (because that bigotry is fashionable ??? again).

Are you watching the RCN? I watched the DNC and finishing up with RNC tonite, watching it now. What a great tribute they did in video to Cindy McCain. I really had no idea that she raced cars on the race track with her sons and used to fly planes . . . not to mention all of the philanthropy (?sp?) she has done over the years, the places she has visited for the good of the people. I no you and others like to focus on McCain and her affair, but there is a lot more to this woman than I think most people know about. I know I didnt, at not to the degree I do now after watching the video at the RNC .

              I did watch the RNC last night and saw Sarah..yes, impressive woman, but no more impressive than any other woman politician..IMO, when it comes to politics, Hillary is the bomb of women! As for Cindy, I don't know much about her, in fact I never mentioned her in regards to her husband's cheating.. I didn't know she was into racing. I did notice that she looked exceptionally pretty in the chartreuse green last night.

      I am middle class, I made 70K last year and supporting my wife & 2 kids. I am putting one of them through college right now and I think life's been wonderful! Corporate America is one of the engine (beside small businesses) that keep America going. I really don't understand why you don't get it? Why the bittlerness and hates toward them??? Is it because you are not successful therefore you hate all who is successful?

        I live very comfortable and owe my well being to my own good fortune. but i am not blind to see that there are others in this country who are not as fortunate. It is not only about you! i am bitter but it is not for the reasons you have percieved in your mind as to why i am. Everybody has there own reasons and I have been around long enough to know that there are many different reasons and most of them are rightfully grounded in fats that you may have turned a blind eye to.
