AJC Strongly Condemns Rev. Jesse Jackson's Comment on American Jews
October 14, 2008 - New York - The American Jewish Committee (AJC) has condemned the Rev. Jesse Jackson's statement about 'Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades.'
"Rev. Jackson's remarks, which appeared in an interview with the journalist Amir Taheri in today's New York Post, echo classic anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about Jewish power," said AJC Executive Director David A. Harris. 'This statement, regrettably, is not the first troubling comment by Rev. Jackson regarding Israel, Zionism and the Jewish people.'

Arguing as a private citizen that an Obama administration could bring significant change to U.S. foreign policy, Jackson was quoted as saying that "Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades" would lose much of their influence should Senator Obama be elected president."

Comment: Wow, the writer's adoration and just star struck admiration for the Obamas' leaves me speachless....I wish that I didn't know that the Michelle Obama who stood at the podium and told a hear strung story that was totally FICTIOUS and portrayed her as just and average MOM doing average things.....It doesn't take much research to look for the TRUE MICHELLE.....the one who wears her hatred of white America like is were something to be proud of....Le't not forget that she'd NEVER found any reason to have pride in the nation until her man, her baby daddy...was fighting for the demo. nomination....Then there is her HISTORY in college as a radical black including considering herself a third world person.....Now that's getting pretty rich for a girl who's attending one of the BEST colleges in our nation.....EXCUSE ME, but the fascad that the Obama's put on for the evening was as quickly discarded as the decor for the convention....Now, they can be their real selves...joining the likes of Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers, and the black liberation theology.....Obama is totally transparent , as his sasquatch wife....Personally, I think she's a full back for the Packers....

  Comment: Fellow readers, I am cognizant of the fact that posting the following link to a video produced by a well-spoken, introspective and intriguing young man may have unexpected consequences both pro and con towards the outcome of this historic election. Having said that, I think it is nevertheless worth presenting to a broader audience, despite that absolutely despicable comments -- mixed with praise by others -- this video concerning Bristol Palin evoked. What is clear is that this country has not made the strides toward mitigating the Grand Canyon-nesque cultural divide between Blacks and Whites (yes, I capitalized the foregoing for the simple reason that when one describes a people or cultural -- no matter what the AP style book says -- it is arguably a pronoun, and thus capitalized... or one would think. ) that one could be led to believe as the above and below posts so powerfully demonstrate. Be that as it may, make your own judgement regarding the truthfulness of this young man's claim, and hopefully, it will not generate the same level of venomous denunciations in evidence on the YouTube site and others sites that carry this.
  Suffice it to say that if there is any truth to this, it constitutes no less than a game-changer in an already politically white hot environment. By the way, nicely done piece, Ellis...

        Comment: As a white voter, I've got something to say. I just can't get past the fact that Barack Obama is black. And I unequivocally and unabashedly am extremely PROUD OF IT...Obama does stand for change and hope, that we have finally surpassed the bigotry that once shamed our nation, degraded our very Constitution and what it means to be free and have rights. I came to the conclusion that the primary culprit for our reduced standard of living today verses 1960 is increased government costs. The very thing that Democrats promote.
