    MAN!

Republicans shot themselves in the foot with this one!!!

The GOP is going to be on the defence for their hole convention.

Hey, this is all a plan. Look at what they are doing. They picked someone totally inappropriate on purpose. Now they are going to make enemies of the press and when she finally does step down for "personal reasons" they will try to blame it on Obama. Then they hope to win by demonstrating bipartisan ship with that weasel lieberman. This is completely orchestated. It has Rove's grubby little paw prints all over it. Desparate times call for desparate measures, eh? This ia a shameful spectacle, and I previously had respect for John McCain.

Biden's Delaware is the second-smallest state in area, larger only than Rhode Island.

Palin's Alaska is the largest U.S. state by area (being more than twice the area of Texas, the second largest), and one of the wealthiest (per capita).

It is larger than all but 18 sovereign nations

Gov. Palin has run this state including its National Guard, hunts and fishes, has had
five children and is a good decent person
This not only is a man's woman, this is a
woman's woman! What's not to like?

People bring up that obama graduated from Harvard Law School.

The nine members of the Supreme Court are all brilliant legal scholars
who graduated from prestigious law schools.

How many of them would you definitely NOT want to see as President?
Would you want to see a President Stephen Breyer, Scalia or Ginsberg.

Her educational resume doesn't compare to Mr Obama but she does have a college degree.

How many of our presidents had no college degree at all? Truman was the last one.
I don't think he was that bad of a president.

    Here are some others

    Abrahan Lincoln
    Andrew Jackson
    Andrew Johnson
    George Washington
    Grover Cleveland
    Martin Van Buren
    Millard Fillmore
    Zachary Taylor

And what kind of judgement/family values
does it show that Mr. obama would let his
kids(young ones at that) listen to vile
misogynist rappers such as Snoop Dog?

Or refer to any potential pregnancy one of his daughters might have as a mistake to be aborted?

alin is the living embodiment of the pro-life movement in sharp contrast to Obama, who couldn't find it in his heart to pass a law to save the life of a born-alive abortion victim, an issue brought to the fore by nurse (and blogger) Jill Stanek, who found a Down syndrome baby in the dirty laundry room of the hospital where he had been left to die. Maybe 80% of Down syndrome babies are aborted.

Sarah Palin didn't hesitate for a moment to accept hers, and upon his birth announced, "He's perfect."

    ~ LiveJournal.com, August 29

    July 16, 2008
CNN: Alveda King says Nobama due to pro-abortion position
CNN interviewed Dr. Alveda King, Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s, niece, today as one African-American voter who does not support Barack Obama due to his pro-abortion position.

Gov Palin unqualified? As Vice President?
Mr. Obama has never run anything except a campaign and he will be sitting in the oval office! That's a scarier thought than Ms Palin siting there. Obama and Biden. They can
give speeches and pull a voting lever. WOW.

How many actual people live there? What is the state of politics? How local is the mindset?

  • Posted By: trythetruth @ 09/03/2008 1:10:46 PM

    Again, your ignorance is showing.

    • Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 09/03/2008 1:31:25 PM

And again your one liners are a testament to your affiliation. Guess you have original republican talking points right?

      • Posted By: AskPlus @ 09/03/2008 3:40:27 PM

Sadly, Mr. Trytruth has never tried the truth. He has attempted avoidance however.

Has the Straight Talk Express finally derailed?

Are we beginning to see the signs of a candidate for President who simply cannot express himself? More and more, this appears to be the case with John McCain. His temper fits, besides indicating a psychological personality disorder, comes from his inability to talk to people while under pressure. He is having serious difficulty applying the necessary skills for someone in his position: Strong mental and verbal acuity.

This glaring flaw is becoming front and center to anyone who pays half attention to his mannerisms, habits, behavior and inability to put together three impressive sentences without written talking points or note cards.

He has derailed every 'straight talk 'conversation during the last 60 days. He cancelled his appearance on Larry King. Was his camp concerned about McCain finally getting ???busted??? by Larry King while showing this glaring inability to process information? McCain is so lacking in this area, that he appears to a have a smaller skill set in thinking on his feet than most high school debaters. He avoids all tough questions and whenever under stress or cornered, plays the POW card.

Bill Clinton had twice the IQ of George Bush. Clinton: 182. Bush: 91
I seriously wonder, based on his total inability to think on his feet, if McCain???s IQ is even lower than the last GOP choice for the highest office in the land?

Other than this somewhat suspect POW story (Google "PW Songbird + admirals son") McCain is the least impressive political figure, from an intelligence standpoint, any party has nominated during the last 100 years.

If you believe that George Bush was such a great leader and McCain can prove to govern better than Obama, then give me real reasons instead of empty accusations. Obama would be a better leader based on his vision that is being implemented without him even trying because he didn't vote for the quagmire Bush tried to call Mission Accomplished a few years ago. As a matter of fact, wasnt Romney, Huckabee supposed to be the men for the GOP a few months ago. I bet you were at one point putting a stake in McCain's chest. You are out of touch.

McCain questions Obama's judgment on Iraq? McCain needs to re-examine himself and not worry about Obama. Obama's judgment has been on point. 2010 timetable which converts to 16 months. Iraqi, Bush and other nations agree. Obama has stated over and over again to focus on Afghanistan and push a 'surge' there since that was where the war should have been focused on. Can't believe I'm gonna say this but.....

Bush had it right the first time. But then he got greedier and more of a big head. McCain is more dangerous. Make my mushroom clouds orange with atomic flavor please.

A private attorney is authorized to spend $95,000 of state money to defend her against accusations of abuse of power.

Palin sought pork-barrel projects for her city and state, contrary to her reformist image.

Her husband once belonged to a fringe political group in Alaska, with some members supporting secession from the United States.

She has acknowledged smoking marijuana in the past.

Smear, smear, smear. That's the name of the game right?

    Palin's a communist.

Have you noticed that their was no color at the RNC? The Dems had all race, color and religion there and the Conservatives had really not that many blacks there.

    • Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 09/03/2008 9:38:32 AM

The few blacks that were there were paid. Give me some of that money and I will be up on the stage cheesin. HAHA. Be pointin my finger at the screen flippin Bush off.

Senator Obama???s plans would add to the difficulties of small business in other ways, too. Currently, there are the 21.6 million sole proprietorships filing under the individual income tax. When Senator Obama talks about raising income tax rates on those making over 250,000 dollars ??? that includes these businesses as well. He also proposes increases in dividend and capital gains taxes. Under Senator Obama???s tax plan, Americans of every background would see their taxes rise ??? seniors, parents, small business owners, and just about everyone who has even a modest investment in the market. He proposes to eliminate the Social Security earnings cap, and thereby to increase the tax on employers. He proposes to eliminate the secret ballot for union votes, and to raise the minimum wage and then index it, which is a sure way to add to your costs and to slow the creation of new jobs. You work hard in small businesses to grow and to create new jobs and opportunities for others ??? and the federal government shouldn???t make your work any harder.

Through independent thought, I would assume an independent would see what is currently taking place.

    1. The World is saying "Yes We Can!"

    2. The Bush Administration is "Changing" its policy on it's military strategy for which Barack Obama has been focusing on for the last few years, i.e. Get out of Iraq, focus on Afghanistan, retaliate against the moved Taliban/Al Quaeda in Pakistan

    3. Focus on renewable resources for future production to ensure automotive companies adhere to more reliable less fuel dependent automobiles of the future, Creation of better job structure stronger infrastructure to ensure a stable economy.

    4. Return of a Checks and Balance system to restore the Judicial, Executive and Legislative Branches back to what they were meant to be

Barack Obama knows what must be done. He has a vision that all past presidents have had.

    • Posted By: trythetruth @ 09/03/2008 11:23:21 AM

Ok, share with us. What does obama know that has to be done?

  • Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 09/03/2008 8:53:39 AM

McCain will drive this country into the ground. He spits on the his word of a civil campaign by telling lies. He stomps on the Constitution with his vile attempts to deny the U.S. citizens their rights and privacy by supporting Bush policy and maintaining the Administrations' doctrines. McCain is a soldier for Wrong. He is Wrong for the Presidency, he is Wrong for the elderly, he is Wrong for the tax payers, he is Wrong for our children, he is Wrong for our energy, he is Wrong.

    • Posted By: trythetruth @ 09/03/2008 11:22:05 AM

LMAO. You my friend do not know what you are talking about. Go do your homework then come back and make a sensible statement.

  • Posted By: trythetruth @ 09/03/2008 11:15:16 AM

He has my vote hands down.

  • Posted By: just jerry @ 09/03/2008 11:04:25 AM

Wow! so much for "new politics" in my democratic party. Instead of the respect McCain deserves, it is the old politics we read in so many of these comments. This ongoing partisanship causes us so many problems because we end up in a constamt position of gridlock and not solving issue after issue. The exception is in the circumstances when honorable Americans have taken off the partisan hats and put on American hats and reached across the isle. John McCain did that with so many issues, most recently with the immigration issue. He has stood up against the failure of planning for stablization in Iraq since the initial attack against his own party, against the use of torture opposing the president, he has worked effectively as a non-partisan on a wide variety of issues going back a long way.
He has risked his poitical future for what he has believed was right for America. It certainly wasn't popular politically at the time to support the "surge", but he did because it was right for AmMerica even if it made his road on the camapign trail more difficult. His stand on the issue of immigration has neutralized that as a hot button issue in thie election and gives our nation a much better chance at resolving the issue.
Is he a politician that acts like any other politician while campaigning? Yes, he is, just like Barck Obama is.
But, beneath the surface of the camapign lies an honorable and good American and not some angry, confused old man who is a war monger and has lived a life of shame.

  • Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 09/03/2008 9:13:54 AM

McCain wants to be a maverick, he wants to be risky, he wants to start fights that's why he picked Palin to stir things up. That's also the reason he was a frack up in the Navy, that's why he did not learn how to follow procedures when flying and that's why he spent his time in the Hanoi Hilton. I don't need this kind of leadership. America doesn't need this kind of leadership. He has little character because he is too reckless. He is a danger to American values and the American Dream.

  • Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 09/03/2008 8:52:10 AM

McCain has a crash course in failure. His plan for America is failure. He supports pork projects. He supports failed health care systems. McCain already has wealth so he has no idea what the average American goes through. GOP'ers insist on electing the out of touch politicians into office. Gluttons for punishment.

  • Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 09/03/2008 8:51:19 AM

The Republicans don't know too much other than what they distribute among one another, take Rove, Buchanan, Bush, Cheney, Gramm, McCain and that radio guy, can't remember his name off the top of my head but they all say something and every republican thinks it is right, thus the term Right wing. Left is open ended and open for discussion, that's what I like the most about Democratic ideas. And that's what Barack Obama is all about, change in the ways we think.
