Your name should be LudwogVanMoonBat. Your posts are ridiculous and childish.
Do you see what happens when you cannot find your house keys?
You pick a running mate that is right out of a Jerry Springer Episode !
McCain you are a maverick alright !!
Next time drink your prune juice and put a new pair of DEPENDS on before you make any decisions !
It's funny if you think about it. McCain talks about straight talk and yet is surrounded by crooked Republicans that have forced him to vet someone that is under investigation, has a pork barrel history, has no lawmaking experience, no foreign policy experience, no economic experience, no stateman experience, no legislative commitee experience. Gov. Palin said it herself, she doesn't know what the office of the VP handles. Voting for McCain is like voting for a monkey.
You can put any way you want but to me, the GOP are jokes. They like to play games. Have played games since George HW Bush was in office. McCain has no judgment. None, zilch, nada. He is no different than Bush, hell, he's even worse.
This is a shallow and sentimentalising piece, typical of Newsweek and American publications in general, in that it is very evidently biased in favour of McCain's WASP background and awed by the military aristocracy he comes from.
In fact, McCain is no warrior-statesman. He may be John Wayne and Rambo, in the style Americans adore, but he is certainly no Churchill. He does not have the intellect, command of language and judgement for that.
McCain's early history actually echoes Bush's uncannily and his later history does not indicate a man marked for greatness unlike Churchill or Eisenhower). Were it not for his miltary pedigree and the fact that he married into money, McCain would simply be another fratboy who rebelled to escape the shadow of his father into a not very remarkable miliary career. His Vietnam experiences do reveal any real sign of greatness of character - just a stubborn pugnaciousness leavened with a sense of honour. His subsequent career simply shows a bloody-mindedness masquerading as independence of mind and integrity- after all. he got caught up in some shady dealings and even now he is surrounded by advisers with very questionable backgrounds, as a recent Daily Telegraph article shows.
He is now showing his opportunism in his embrace of Rove-style cynical and negative campaigning - which he had previously repudiated and promised to foreswear.
He is now showing not only his opportunism again in his choice of Sarah Palin (can he really be "putting America first" or is it just John McCain) as he did when he dumped his crippled wife. but also the poor sense of judgement which can be seen at many points in his political
career.
Despite all this, American voters are very likely to choose McCain in their idolisation of the military and their tolerance of the miliaryindustrial complex which Eisenhower (a far greater soldier and statesman than McCain will ever be) warned America against in his farewell address to the nation in 1961.
And in doing so, they will hasten the decline of America as a nation, and bring about the end of the unacknowledged American Empire, as it spends and spends its way further and further into indebtedness in vainly pursuing military dominance of the world.
why not a picture of silver spoon?
