    It is a myth that the US was founded as a "Christian nation". If folks like Palin want to believe that, that is fine; it is their right because we do believe in freedom of religion. But when the religious right promotes a candidate like her so that they can more effectively push their values on a nation they believe to be "christian", they are acting in a way contrary to that which the founding fathers would have agreed to. Separation of church and state is the law of the land. We need to keep it that way.

    i remember when hilary tried everything to knock obama down even the kitchen sink and it did not work! now the obama camp is trying everything including the kitchen sink on palin and its not working ! she gets bigger crowds at her rallies and he gets small ones his ego is crushed and he is worried that he will lose the white house ! and he should be !     as history suggests issues of policy will ultimately trump the politics of identity. obama is all about who he is and nothing about what he has done ! McCain is all about what he has done not who he is ! the choice is clear !

    Every Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidate in American history has been a Christian, so I don't think that's the issue. The issue is WHAT KIND of beliefs she and how will it affect her decisions.

    Will Sarah Palin try to force Creationist religious beliefs into science classrooms? Creationism would destroy American science education. Is Sarah Palin a Dominionist who believes that the US should rule the world under a holy a dictatorship? Many far right Christians hold such beliefs. Does Sarah Palin believe that it will be her duty to help usher in Armageddon as some radical Christians believe?

    We don't know the answers to these questions yet, but they are important questions.

    The Main Stream Media should be ASHAMED AS HELL OF ITSELF; but, we know, it has NO SHAME!!! It NOW thinks it should get involved in the vetting of a VP, while it GAVE A SHAMELESS PASS to OBAMA for the PRESIDENTIAL SLOT.

    So you think giving SOFTBALL questions to OBAMA in the debates proves anything. Do you think not tracking down his associations, record, accomplishments or lack thereof proves anything? Do you think that attacking a 17 YEAR OLD GIRL of a candidate AND THE CANDIDATE HERSELF MAKES YOU WORTHY OF TELLING US WHAT YOU THINK?

    It proves that the MSM is trying as hard as we have ever seen to CONTROL an election like a Chicago Party Machine, or a government controled, Banana Repubic press.

    The MSM press has been disgraceful and there has been and will continue to be a decline of the MSM into tabloid, celebrity, and sexism journalism.

    With some MSM outlets like NBC, MSNBC, CBS, CNN, NYT, CT, WP, Newsweek, Atlantic Weekly, LAT, and others becoming tabloids following DailyKos, MoveOn.org, and HuffingtonPost, the vast majority of normal, middle class, independent/moderate WILL BE SICK OF YOU.

    ANSWER THIS QUESTION:

    WHAT MAKES YOU WORTHY OF TELLING US WHAT YOU THINK?

    I am grateful that she revere's God! That is a plus and she's not afraid to show it! However, I do disagree with the fact that this world could be saved by others...not by a mother of 5 especially with a child with special needs and a daughter who will need her mother's support through her pregnancy! The only world that needs to be saved is within the 4 walls of her own home!!! Those are the only treasures you will bring with you after this life is your family! I hope that more women will think about this before supporting Palin in her decision's instead of taking care of what needs to be taken cared of first-FAMILY AND THE HOME!!!

    The last time I checked didn't we uphold freedom of religion in this country? We have so many more important issues besides picking on this ladies children! Really, what difference would it make if her daughter was pregnant or not. It is wonderful to see any candidate that will even mention the word Jesus in this country. I remember when we had the 911 tragedy and all of a sudden we hear our government talking about God l and how we needed his help. Now that the shock has lessened God is hardly ever mentioned in our government much less mainstream media. I say Kudos to you Palin.

    Sarah Palin has incredible character. Some things written about her by folks from here in Alaska have been fueled by absolute jealousy. One by an extreemly poor looser who ran against her. She is a "Breath of Fresh Air".... and they just can't stand that!!!

    Sarah Palin has character and compassion. To be degraded as she has been by jealous men and women from here in Alaska, and face it with grace as she has, speaks of great character. The smearing of her name through things written on the net and in the media is something I can't even fathom. NOT everything written is truth. She is a true "Breath of Fresh Air".... and those that are jealous of her, can't stand it!

    The writers of this article show their lack of theological investigative skills by attributing the churches infant dedication preference to being "conservative". In reality there are conservative churches that do dedications and many that do baptisms. If the authors would have consulted a more knowledgeable and erudite religion expert the line would read, "many churches that hold to believers baptism only do..." Being a conservative church has nothing to do with belief in infant baptism or believers baptism only.
