A Leading Hillary Supporter Defects to McCain
Newsweek Exclusive: Top Clinton Supporter John Coale Endorses McCain

John Coale, a prominent Washington lawyer, husband of Fox TV host Greta Van Susteren and a supporter of Sen. Hillary Clinton, announced today that he was supporting John McCain for president. Coale, who traveled with Sen. Clinton, President Clinton and her family through out the primary season, complained of sexism, and said the Democratic Party is "being taken over by the moveon.org types" in an exclusive interview with Newsweek.com's Tammy Haddad.

SOUNDS LIKE HE CALLED OBAMAMOHAMMEDS...KOOKS and CRAZIES.....I agree, ya'll are mostly a bunch of lazy and sissified dopers. Hussein has a very near 0% chance of being elected POTUS.

HollyRoller, you are such a wingtard. One opportunistic moron switches sides at it the end of Obama.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the latest Gallup poll says:

The Democratic convention appears to have helped solidify support for Barack Obama among former Hillary Clinton supporters, with the percent saying they will vote for Obama in November increasing from 70% pre-convention to 81% post-convention.

And if you think a woman VP is going to woo all those Hillary supporters over to McCain, you're an even bigger idiot that I thought - which is tough, because right now, I think your idiocy is pretty large.

Well Ziggy Stardust....Hussein got HALF the bounce Al Gore got after his convention. Check those polls on Monday....and don't hide. Take it like a good little obamamohammed......and....this is a HUGE defection....and the first of lots more to come....GUARANTEED.....

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 09/02/2008 8:47:49 PM

It's not about ignorance, you just don't like the fact that some people don't see the world through you're tunnel vision. Heaven forbid that someone should actually disagree with the all powerful religious right.

Wel, all I can say is get use to it.

      • Posted By: star3 @ 09/03/2008 12:26:10 AM

LOL Zig, and just how do you react when someoned disagrees with you? How are you any different? You do the very thing you don't like us to do. Quite honestly, I would be extremely disappointed if a liberal did agree with me, that would be scary! So, keep the dissent coming, it just makes for a much more stimulating discussion, not to mention a great opportunity to air all our flustrations, and as an extra added bit of whipped creme topping on the whole thing, we get to set you liberals straight! lol Don't ever miss a chance to twist the knife just a bit in the old liberal ego. lol

So let me see if I understand this... Sarah Palin is too conservative of a "wack-job" to be Vice president because she believes in God and attends church, yet is way-too permissive and liberal because her daughter is bearing an unwed child. Yet Barack Obama also believes in God, attends church and has personally smoked marijuana and used cocaine, and he is perfect for the Presidency: Is that what you said?

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 09/04/2008 10:19:49 AM

No, we just said the first part. Does that help?

    • Posted By: Mirabhai @ 09/03/2008 7:00:06 AM

I presume you prefer George Bush, a known former cocaine user (and at a later time in his life than Obama's youthful experiments)?

      • Posted By: marcharino @ 09/03/2008 3:09:14 PM

Facts: 1) We are not discussing George W. Bush--rather John McCain and the American hero that he is! However, if you would care to discuss the current President, then 2) President George W. Bush never admitted to using cocaine, and the allegations of drug use were of George W Bush in his twenties--not much older than the age of the admitted cocaine and marijuana user, Barack Obama (up until he was twenty). So, your statement "at a later time in his life than Obama's youthful experiments" is at least an exaggeration. What messaging is Obama sending here--that drugs were a mechanism for coping and dealing with hardship? American voters beware.

    • Posted By: loriw @ 09/03/2008 1:00:19 AM

well stated but might I add that you forgot to mention that Obama claims to be a Christian yet advocated for allowing LIVE BORN INFANT should DIE. He also professed to follow the Christian belief that "what ever you do for the least...." yet he has done nothing to help his own flesh and blood in Kenya in abject poverty. Do you know why he does not do anything for these LEAST ONES...babies and the poor in his family? BECAUSE THEY CAN'T VOTE!

      • Posted By: marcharino @ 09/03/2008 3:12:38 AM

Political expediency is paramount in the Democratic party. One needs to look no further than the leading figures to see the rampant hypocrisy that was exhibited in, for example, the Kennedy family law-breaking Joseph Kennedy smuggling alcohol during the years of prohibition through the JFK Presidency with involvement with a mistresses Exner and Monroe, and as recent as the Clinton and Gore years. There was the Monica Lewinski behind the scenes sexual escapades, culminating in Al Gore's son being arrested for driving in excess of 100 MPH with marijuana and prescription drug charges, not to mention the "inconvenient truth" that his ozone-depleting house consumes in one month more electricity than the average household uses in a year--or 20 times more than the average. Bill Clinton (an Arkansas born-again campmeeting attending "Christian") twice vetoed the ban on late term abortions under the guise to "protect the health of the mother," used marijuana ("although he says he did not inhale"), and only God knows how many illegitimate children he fathered and aborted as a result of the numerous affairs and sexual escapades. It would appear that parading Christianity for political necessity has, and always will be, the way to pull-in the unsuspecting and ignorant voter, and pull-off the greatest extramarital affairs and try to remain a "face-saving" Christian.

      • Posted By: Mimi13 @ 09/03/2008 1:33:12 AM

Lori, lori, lori -- there you go again. Fact check 1: Illinois has had for more than 20 years a law on the books that requires medical personnel to provide medical care to all live-born infants, even those that survive an abortion attempt. Anyone who ignores this law, or observes someone ignoring this law and does nothing, is guilty of a felony. The bill the Obama voted against contained language that Obama felt would jepordize all abortions in Illinois and so he voted against it. You may disagree with Obama's interpretation of the legislation he voted against, but there is no way that you can say that Obama voted for legislation that would allow babies to die because Illinois law is clear --- infanticide is illegal in Illinois and the law applies to all live born infants.

Fact check 2 -- George Obama is estranged from all of his family in Kenya, including his mother. When this happens, as it does even in this country, it is usually because of a choice the errant person has made. Is George Obama into drugs? Into crime? Into gang warfare? You don't know. I read the same article and there is no mention of why this young man is living in such crude conditions. Very poor journalism! But -- Is it not reasonable to assume that if he were willing to be salvaged, one of his other siblings (there are several right there in Kenya) or his mother would assist him? Most of the Obama siblings are doing very well economically. Obama is not the head of this clan. Why is it his responsibility -- and his responsibility alone -- to rescue his youngest brother (who may not even want rescuing)?

        • Posted By: loriw @ 09/03/2008 2:13:06 AM

Obama voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act...That is a fact.
Christ Hospital was not following the policy they had in place at the time and that is why Jill Staneck blew the whistle on the hospital and went on to have to testify before Obama and his committee. All Obama accomplished was to provide a comfort room. In Obama's own words ("tell me words don't matter") he stated that it was "too burdensome" to require an abortionist to call another doctor to care for a baby born alive following and abortion. I heard those words of Obama's played on CNN a little over a week ago.

This morning, former Mike Dukakis Campaign Manager Susan Estrich says she surfed the blogs and what she found written about Sarah Palin is horrific and totally inappropriate.

Referring to the fact that the sexism in America is overt, she had this to say:

Estrich was asked: "Realistically speaking...How many of Hillary Clinton???s voters are in play for John McCain. Her answer....."about a third....30 % I would say".

"What they???re doing to her?????????..and I mean friends of yours and mine???.what they???re saying, second guessing her prenatal care??????..with her youngest child???.. even going so far as to suggest she took unnecessary risks?????????..maybe she was even responsible for the Down???s Syndrome?????????this whole business of saying maybe she was covering up for her teenage daughter???s pregnancy???.they are dumping all over the daughter???..I find it Really offensive???.and I think a lot of women in particular???.who ended up supporting Hillary because they were so offended by the sexism may well be offended by what they see as the piling on of Sarah Palin."

All ya'll MoveOn.commies and DailyKooks....make sure you watch her speech. Gonna be ALMOST as gppd as Liebermans.

I cannot believe that born again Christian would support Obama who calls Jesus a liar indirectly, or who supports the killing of the unborn, who embraces the homosexual movement, and who voted to stop the Born Alive Infant Protection Act (BAIPA) therefore endorsing infantcide, who see nothing wrong with associating with terrorist both foreign and domestic (Ayers and Iran's leaders, who excepts donations from the Hamas and then tries to hide it, who allows Muslims to pray in his interfaith movement (knowing full well they hate Christians and Jews), for those who want to debate this fact just read the Koran or I can post it on this blog for you... also need to look below on what Obama supports and then tell me if you think he keeps the Christian values.... if you still think he is a wonderful Christian gentleman then both you and Obam need to read the bible and get a clear understanding of what a Christian is suppose to be....

You mean killing people for oil is not a Christian virtue?

      • Posted By: bojack27 @ 09/04/2008 10:07:10 AM

Here is little fact for you democrats.... there are around 500,000 people who die from handguns world wide and at least 100-200k are involved in wars.... there is 42,000,000 children who die from abortion worldwide, with 1.3 million being in the United States, more than doubling the total number of those who die in war, just in the United States.... killing for the sake of selfish reasons is definately not a Christian value.... fighting your enemy is a Christian value.... I challenge you to tell me the amount of money the United States has made off the oil fields of Iraq.... abortionists have made over 900,000,000 dollars off the killing of the unborn.....

    Motion denied in Obama lawsuit
By KEITH PHUCAS, Special to The Phoenix
    09/02/2008

PHILADELPHIA - A Lafayette Hill lawyer who filed a legal challenge to Sen. Barack Obama's presidential candidacy claiming he doesn't meet U.S. residency requirements had a motion for a temporary restraining order denied Friday.

A day earlier, Philip Berg filed a motion for a temporary restraining order in federal court in Philadelphia questioning the authenticity of Obama's Hawaii birth certificate and claiming the Illinois senator was actually born in Kenya, according to court papers.

Though the motion was denied, Berg said he was encouraged that Judge R. Barclay Surrick did not dismiss the lawsuit. The litigation also sought "expedited discovery."

"We're still waiting to serve the senator," Berg said in a telephone interview Wednesday.
Discovery would include examining the candidate's birth certificate and adoption papers, among other documents, Berg said.

Besides Obama, the Democratic National Committee and Federal Election Commission are also named as defendants.

In the motion's supporting memorandum, Berg charges that the DNC failed to verify Obama's eligibility to run for president.

Titus 1:6 says "[These elders should be] men who are of unquestionable integrity and are irreproachable, the husband of [but] one wife, whose children are [well trained and are] believers, not open to the accusation of being loose in morals and conduct or unruly and disorderly." Amplified Bible

If these are the qualifications of an elder in a church, how much more responsible a President or a vice president of the most powerful nation should be. If sex outside marriage is not sin & the leaders of this country under God is taking a casual attitude towards this issue, how can we tell our children about abstinence or the sin of fornication? Like to know what the so called "evangelicals" say about this. So many hypocrites in the church!!

  • Posted By: willnotvoteobama @ 09/03/2008 4:47:49 PM

According to a news report, a certain private school in Washington was recently faced with a unique problem. A number of 12-year-old girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom. That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick, they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints. Every night the maintenance man would remove them, and the next day the girls would put them back. Finally the principal decided that something had to be done. She called all the girls to the bathroom and met them there with the maintenance man. She explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the custodian who had to clean the mirrors every night (you can just imagine the yawns from the little princesses). To demonstrate how difficult it had been to clean the mirrors, she asked the maintenance man to show the girls how much effort was required. He took out a long-handled squeegee, dipped it in the toilet, and cleaned the mirror with it. Since then, there have been no lip prints on the mirror. There are teachers ... and then there are educators . .i have to wonder how much longer the obama supporters will keep kissing the mirror ?

Palin Asks for Prayers That War Be "Task That Is From God"

"I can do my part in doing things like working really, really hard to get a natural gas pipeline, a $30 billion dollar project that's going to create a lot of jobs for people in Alaska, and we're going to have a lot of energy flowing through here -- and pray about that also -- I think God's will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gas line built, so pray for that," she told them, "but I can do my job there, in developing our natural resources, and doing things like getting the roads paved, and making sure our troopers have their cop cars and their uniforms, their guns, and making sure our public schools are funded. But really, all that stuff doesn't do any good if the people of Alaska's heart isn't right with God."

Switching to the war in Iraq, Palin told the group of students that they should not only pray for men and women in the military but to make sure the leaders of this country are sending U.S. soldiers "out on a task that is from God. That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."

When Palin is quoted directly, what she says makes a lot of sense. She is not saying that the Iraq war is a mission from God, but that we should pray that our leaders only send our sons (and now daughters) to fight just wars, wars that have the Lord's approval. That concept is perfectly appropriate, and eminently sensible.

I am always amazed at how when it's your team getting bashed, than it's not fair. Obama has been accused and painted as an anti-american muslim, and that's ok to do? But poor Sarah is being picked on. When you accept a position in the highest office every thing becomes public, hence the name public servant. Mrs Palin should have known what to expect when she put her hat in the ring. She is NO Hilary ! and for McCain to try such a desperate move of trying to get votes is truly sad. I am terrifed that someone as old as dishwater and someone as green as fresh grass are the prospects for running this country. Obama is at least humble enough to put people with experience around him. Know one cried when Joe Biden was picked because he is seasoned. This is not about Boy's and Girl's playing well together. This is mine and every American's future at stake. Everyone is truly making this Black and White. I wish people would be honest with themselves and say tey are opposed to having a bi-racial man in office. I have often found the truth hurts and everything said about Sarah Palin she has not disputed. I want my children and their children to have a future and McCain is soo out of touch with the middle class, he doesn't even know how many homes he owns, yet he understands my situation. Yeah right. Family values when your daughter gets knocked up unmarried she obviously cannot be paying too much attention to home, how can she possibly assist in running the white house when she cannot run her own.

In many ways the type of behavior is drawn along religious lines. or political lines, all though much argument could be made regarding the politocal affiliation and behavior. It is along the lines of common respect and an allowance of apposing viewpoints that is at the root of this countries problems. That is to say wew are a country of special interst with a "I, ME, MINE" mentality. What the press and liberal hacks have done to Palin I can only hope, out of a sense of common respect, would not happen to any of them. To this point I have always considered myself as a liberal. However, given the Democrat game playing and the lack of ethical truth in amoung those who openly back the Democrat Party and report our cable and network news as well as our newpapers and news-mags I can no longer be a part. I will always be liberal but going forward it will be without party association.

The very scary truth is that despite overwhelming evidence that includes actual comments on film by McShame being interviewed, the Karl Rovians will deny absolutely everything that their "candidate" says that showcases his dishonesty. These are the folks who are the most adept, if not always conscious of their actions, at placing in office the most heinous criminals of our time. And the big DUH doesn't come to haunt them in time - by the time the realization of the truth smacks them, they can do nothing but the continued behavior of the lemmings that they are.
Example: Palin has been gov of Alaska for 18 months. Prior to that she was mayor of Wasilla, where I lived at one time, for approx 2 yrs. Full stop -- the end of her political experience. She has been abroad twice: once to Canada and once to one of the asian countries, I believe Thailand. Yet you are set to give her the presidency, in the possible event that McLame won't be able to serve out his term. Insanity as always prevails, especially when it is Rovian generated.
