I find it ironic that during the Republican convention we face threats from 4 hurricanes/tropical storms: Gustav, Hannah, hurricane Ike, and according to the latest news releases hurricane Josephine.

I will not, as religious fundamentalists are fond of doing, claim hurricanes are acts of God. Nor will I, like the GOP???s core constituents, blame gays, lesbians and abortionists for invoking God???s wrath in the form of hurricanes, but I can???t help observing that the Republican convention reminds me of Belshazzar???s feast and the slew of hurricanes and tropical storms are the writing on the wall.

Obama, Gore, and his democratic allies have the courage to interpret the writing correctly. Namely, the extreme weather patterns we are witnessing are the product of global warming, and that global warming is a product of carbon-emissions (both carbon dioxide and methane.) Like Daniel, Obama had the courage to point out that off-shore drilling will not solve our problems. It will only make our problems worse. (By the way, what would happen to our oil supply if many the off-shore drilling rigs in the Gulf of Mexico were subjected not to one, but to a series of category 2 or category 3 hurricanes?) Like Daniel, Obama and his Democratic allies have outlined a plan to free us from the tyranny of oil within 10 years. Like Daniel, Obama and his Democratic allies want to restore the Mississippi delta, which is the only sure-fire way to protect New Orleans.

Many Republicans, including vice president candidate Sarah Palin, and Oklahoma Senator James Inhofe insist that global warming is a either a hoax or a natural cycle of temperature change. In the meantime, the percentage of carbon dioxide increases and the Arctic ice cap may disappear before 2012. Do we want to entrust the future of our country and the future of our planet to this assortment of frauds, liars, ignorami, and religious fanatics?

Let???s rewrite the modern book of Daniel before it???s too late. Let???s take Obama, Gore and his allies out of the lions??? den and put them where they belong - in the White House and Congress. We cannot delay. We???ve already witnessed 8 years of lying and denial, all with McCain???s stamp of approval. We cannot afford 4 more years of the same old, same old. We are playing a dangerous game of Russian roulette with the planet and 2012 may be too late.

TAX and TAX, and Americans Suck First! Is how the Dems been running the Congress! And the Congresses approval is lower than President Bush!!! Tax,tax and discrimination campaigns against gun owners, achievers, christians, law enforcement, and military experts.
This WAS a winning formula for getting dems elected...but times have changed. Tax tax ..americans suck first and ESPECIALLY those no good gun owners , achievers, christians, police and military professionals!
But it's a NEGATIVE formula. The congress is losing it's approval with it, and Obama is having a hard time running against McCain with it!!!
Americans do not like discrimination campaigns against their fellow Americans!!!
But this negative campaign is all the Dems have! And isn't it time to get our boarders secure and our economy rolling by drilling for the oil there is such abundance of? Another gun law or tax just isn't going to help. Tax- and-Bigotry is a poor way to run a nation! especially a great nation like the USA!
A nation of great people! We sure deserve better!
