Comment: Why McCain selected Mrs. Palin (the secret operation) (VP or Ralph Nader = Palinader)

As it stand right now the McCain Campaign is struggling to the point of losing the election. Even if the polls boaster they are closing the gap, we all know that isn't true. McCain could easily lose in an electoral landslide. I must say, I too, like so many of you laughed so hard , a few times even, at McCain's choice for VP and the speech she gave. That speech seemed to have a juvenile tone to it. It was like a person interviewing for a typical everyday -Joe job. When I stopped laughing I felt sad for Mrs. Palin when I realized how serious this choice is and why McCain selected Mrs. Palin to be his VP while passing on more seasoned candidates. Here's why McCain selected Palin. You see it doesn't matter who Palin is, as long as she is a women. It doesn't matter if she is or isn't qualified. It doesn't matter if McCain doesn't know her or if he disagrees with her. The idea (strategy) was formulated before McCain and his advisers chose Mrs. Palin. The only question was which woman will he choose. A pipe line from Canada to Alaska made the choice easier. The McCain strategy is to select a women (any women) to implement a well thought out plan. McCain's secret weapon is (a women ) operation "Tear Drop".

McCain was born in a POW camp. That's why he can't be trusted. The McCain that was born in the U.S. does not exist any more. Five years of listening to brain washing from his captives/family, he is no longer born in the U.S.A. That is why he keep reminding you guys where he is from. You guys are trying to elect a zombe. McCain does not even like the U.S. infact he is still angry with the U.S. for leaving him there. That's why he gave in to his captives/family. Listen to his words.

Talk about your "fossil" fuel ... Lieberman, Thompson and McCain. Love it!

And what is Joe Biden...a spring chicken?

      • Posted By: rube @ 09/03/2008 3:40:22 AM

joewoj- you surely must be tireing! ow are you different then us?
Has your home equity gone down the crapper, are your kids education and health care care more difficult
to keep? Do you own any stock? its slipping away! is your job of many years in peril? joe these are issues that confront all my fellow Americans. Joe, dont you have any of these problems? In eight years of GOP rule our nation is now confronted by a real slide of wealth and loss of national equity! joe its strange how you can support the political part that is responsible? I guess your one of the 28% left! Joe just remember you were telling us this gabage eight years ago when you supported the "W"orst president in history!
The GOP is no longer the party of values. Bush made sure of that and Mccain has doubled up on it!

What, was I watching the same speeches as most of you...the RNC was boring...very uninspiring and surely unengaging for the newer generation of Y and X'ers

    • Posted By: joewoj @ 09/03/2008 1:45:15 AM

The newer generation of X'ers and Y'ers must be full of superficial, "give it to me now", "feel good" rhetoric accepting individuals, that can be persuaded easily by flashing lights and shiny "stuff". Anything to distract from the real issues that confronted his country today. Influenced by a "sensationalism motivated media, whose goal is to entertain, whether or not it provided the truth to everyone. Obama and Biden are "glittery, exciting,, and distracting". They are superficial, without substance. They stand for an America that no one wants , desires, or needs. Americans need leaders, not orators. Americans need someone with courage, not a coward. Americans need someone who will truly provides change for strength, not someone who using the term change as slogan.

And yet, somehow, we make time in-between watching America's Next Most Smartest Project Runway Top Model Apprentice and getting distracted by shiny pebbles to vote.

Sucks to be you, I guess.

Obama delivered his speech and promised everything he could think of to appease all voters. I'm pretty sure as President, there are only a couple of things that can be tackled and actually deliver on. America does not need promises, we need solutions to what seems like a bleak futrue with somone with no experience. I do understand the DNC's position, they would rather put Obama up front and lose the White House, and take a chance on gaining more seats for congress.....control of congress for the dems means they can keep getting raises and long vacations.

    McCain/BUSH need retirement
Good bye guys and ,may God protect our Country from FOXES News and the Republican Lobbyist Saudi oriented killing Machine

  • Posted By: maramara @ 09/03/2008 2:55:10 AM

Obama has all the experience needed.
Look at the way he has manages his campaign, it is wonderful. That gives you his leadership skills. Look at McBush's Campaign, it is run by lobbyist and there is no coherence both in message and style. For the past 18 months, I have closely watched these Candidates and Obama has won me over. He has the state-of-the-art skills in organising and managing people.
That is the primary role of the president.
He has the capacity to understand constitutional matters because he is a learned person in constitutional law.
The president pledges to defend the constitution. He will do just that.
He is very very qualified than the soldier, John McCain who failed his first test as commmander-in-Chief.
McCain in picking a VP and also lacks economic credentials
Has lacks basic knowledge in constitutional matters
He lack basic knowledge in civics.
He cannot even use a computer.
    McCain/Bush need to retirement

Gerson says that Obama has a "complete lack of courage" to oppose his party on issues. However, Obama has not shown any DESIRE to oppose his party on any major issues, so Gerson's comment is nothing but a slur.

Comment: What has Obama ever done to make you think he would do anything as President!!!

    Response:
Obama has passed a series of legislation that have had positive effects on the lives of hard working Americans
He has help to get steel workers out of poverty back into work when those steel plants closed.
He has passed the most comprehensive ethics reforms in the US senate. Shutting down loopholes in government spendings and rejecting lobbyist embrassed by Bush-McCain
He has made concrete proposals concerning the Iraq war, Afghanistan, Iran, Noth Korea and these proposals have now been adopted by the Bush administrations to the chagrin of McCain
His energy policy is what is good for America right now but the McCain wants us to continue to be slaves to the Saudi regime because Lobbyist who benefit from oil deals are running McCain's campaign
I can go on and on and on
ENOUGH with McCain and this dreaded path he wants to lead this country into.

    • Posted By: cerrojim @ 09/03/2008 2:49:32 AM

Well, cobalt, for me it just comes down to faith. I have faith in Barack Obama. I have no faith in John McCain. Really, that is what it comes down to for all of us. You obviously have more faith in McCain. Each of us looks for reasons to justify that faith and each of us finds them.

Us human beings make decisions based on facts and feelings. And, our decisions are about 10% fact based and 90% feeling based. We find just enough facts or even distort facts to support our feeling position and thats the way we go. It is just the way we are wired. Bush felt he needed to attack Iraq. He found reasons. Nothing sinister about it. Just normal human decision making. If you felt the same, it was a logical decision. If you did not, it was an illogical decision. Just normal decision making.

Neither of us is going to change our positions. We will never get the arguments from the other side. Never will.

If more people have faith in Obama, he will win. If more people have faith in McCain, he will win. And, it is a very small number of people who don't know how they feel yet.

    Comment: Really? WOW!

I actually have the feeling that if you're against Obama or the Democratic party you're not an American at all, not even a fake one!! How can you be an American if your an anti-Obama racist Republican, right???

You know, anything linked to the Republican party is repulsive and stinks.
Just take a look at FOXES News (FOX News), they stink. They are used as weapons for the self distruction of this country of ours. FOXES News would better serve it purpose if it were operating in the Pakistan border where it could be used by Al-Qieda to destroy this our loving country. This Station has been supporting the Republican party and preaching hatred in this country.
This is the reality not feelings.

    McCain->Iran->War->draft->your son/daughter->worth the chance???->let a maverick make the choice!

  • Posted By: maramara @ 09/03/2008 2:37:17 AM

The GOP should dissolve. Madness reigns in their circles and they want a disaster for our economy

  • Posted By: cobalt6 @ 09/03/2008 1:52:17 AM

The Republican convention was great tonight! Mrs. Bush her speech was nice, she knows how to be a true first lady! Fred Thompson's speech was really good, true, and interesting. Joe Lieberman's speech was great too, 4 years ago another democrat, Miller came to the rep. convention and endorsed Rep. this year it was Lieberman. The democratic party is falling apart, and no matter how the media especially MSNBC tries to talk against McCain and the republicans it's not going to work. There will always be people like Pat Buchanon around who will not just let Chris Matthews and the rest of MSNBC get away with everything they are trying to sell the American people. Newt Gingridge was also great tonight when he told the media guy all the things Sarah Palin has done and then told the reporter Obama has done nothing, then he looked at the reporter and said tell me one thing Obama has ever done and the reporter just looked at Gingridge and said I have to let you go now! It was a great convention night!!! McCain/Palin 2008

Obama's nomination was historic. Any person in America who says it was not historic has serious brain problems and needs urgent medical attention. That person may not be racist but is playing ostrich policy by hiding from the truth.

The Rupublicant's had the last 8 years to prove themselves... and the fact that their party and their #1&#2 Bush/Cheney got us into the mess in iraq when we shouldnt have been there in the first place says tons about their leadership, judgement and dishonesty in our country..

If it was country first than we should have never been sold that iraq attacked us and we would never have had our sons, daughters, fathers and mothers dying over there..

If it was country first than we would have taken care of our people when Katrina destroyed New Orleans.

"Heck of a job Brownie.." "Mission Accomplished.."

Yeah if it only was country first... .

Too bad none of the neocon, conservative pea brains will own up how much they screwed this country. If it was country first... they take themselves out of the drivers seat and let someone who can drive take the wheel.

Country First.. such crap spewing from a conservative trap makes me sick.

    United We Stand???

What happened to the love, compassion, and empathy from Monday? What happened to reuniting the country? I didn't see much diversity at this convention. Let's face it, the Republicans needs a dose of reality. The average American didn???t appear to be well represented in the audience.

I also got the implication that if you're against the Republican Party, you're not a true American. I believe Americans also got that same spill after 911.

Did you guys notice that there was only three black in the crowd including the news guy. One assian and his child, and one Indian girl Cindy McCain gave a hug too. As if all darkies will vote for her for doing that. What a joke. Even worse they kept showing the same black people over and over to make us think there was more there. To the people that think we all look alike, they probably thought they saw about thirty black their. To us who know we don't look alike , we knew it was only three there being showed over and over. By golly we're sure to vote for them now. NOT!!
