Comment: What has Obama ever done to make you think he would do anything as President!!!

    Response:
Obama has passed a series of legislation that have had positive effects on the lives of hard working Americans
He has help to get steel workers out of poverty back into work when those steel plants closed.
He has passed the most comprehensive ethics reforms in the US senate. Shutting down loopholes in government spendings and rejecting lobbyist embrassed by Bush-McCain
He has made concrete proposals concerning the Iraq war, Afghanistan, Iran, Noth Korea and these proposals have now been adopted by the Bush administrations to the chagrin of McCain
His energy policy is what is good for America right now but the McCain wants us to continue to be slaves to the Saudi regime because Lobbyist who benefit from oil deals are running McCain's campaign
I can go on and on and on
ENOUGH with McCain and this dreaded path he wants to lead this country into.

    The GOP battle cry-
socialize the debt privatize the wealth!
Now we know the definition of "maverick!"

I had the intention to vote for McCain but I have changed my mine because of his lack of judgement on one of the most important decision of the president; Selecting a VP. He scored a ZERO on my score card.
This goes to confirm that he is old and his thinking faculty has greatly degenerated.
I am not ready to risk my life with someone who may attack a nation that has not attack us.
If he really thinks he puts country first, he should have pick a VP that can assist him govern rather than pick someone with the sole intention of helping him to win.

The one sad thing that stands out in all our comments is just how divided this country has become. The question that we all should be asking is "Who might be able to bring us together ... McCain or Obama?" I just don't see anyway that McCain/Palin can do it ... or even want to do it. They want more of the same. Only Obama has the will and ability to do it.

As for Thompson's speech, I thought he did a good biography job on McCain. However, when he went on to attack Obama on the "historical candidate" bit, I thought he showed a huge lack of respect for what Obama had accmplished. Like him or not, Obama has been chosen as the first African-American nominee of a major party and mocking the significant historical importance of that, to me seems to be in bad form. I'm glad thompson isn't on the ticket.

The GOP are all Mad people. They think Americans are fools. After misleading the whole country into a misguided war, putting our economy in shambles and protecting the interest of the lobbyist and rich aginst that of the middle class and ordinary Americans, they think we will listen to this rubbish again?
    ENOUGH

The whole world is laughing at us now because of McCain and Palinader. Why does the Republicans think we are so dumb just because some people fall for their lies?

  • Posted By: expatincebu @ 09/03/2008 2:06:14 AM

Lieberman is impossible to dislike? LOL, more right wing drivel from Newsweek.

  • Posted By: maramara @ 09/03/2008 2:05:27 AM

Joe Lieberman is a friendless dog running down a lonely road. He has no followers. Ron Paul is 10000 times more important than Joe Lieberman to Americans.
Joe is only interested in his own share of the oil wealth that McBUSH-Cheney-Palin now own.
Petty boy, you will be dumped and forgotten by Friday.

No Really, did anyone get a head count? How many republicans were there, 50 or 60 or what? Does anyone know? Not counting the news media and the little group they invited to wear cowboy hats. LOL

  • Posted By: Press Release @ 09/03/2008 1:53:38 AM

It seemed that Joe LIEberman had egg on his face as well as the other VP choices that didn't get picked. It seem so hard for them to keep a straight face when saying that Palinader was a good choice. I could see the joy in their face when they knew that the questions had come to an end by the news people. So sad , can we just skip straight to the election and vote now?

Comment: Are you kidding me joewoj! The road kill on the side of the road is McCain and Palin! He just turned 72, his policies (that Bush set in motion and McCain wants to keep our country going down this wrong track) might keel over on the side of the road at any time, any day with all the pressures and obligations of being president. Add to that his numerous bouts with skin cancer that at his age, can definately turn into a very serious life or death situation very quickly. And then the whole mission of this week is to ask us to put the next in line to lead the largest business enterprise with not one iota of national or foreign policy experience?!! Are you insane? I don't care of how much of a crash course Bush's aides try to give her - this is not highschool, college, or studying for your Phd!! This is not a game! Cliff notes for dummies will not work and is unacceptable for any American to take on this Palin choice as VP. McCain's judgment is seriously in question if not already flawed!!

An Obama is more experienced, has told everyone exactly what he is going to "change" America (other than raise taxes), and is able to commit to a policy for more that thirty seconds?

  • Posted By: Press Release @ 09/03/2008 1:41:03 AM

What was the idea with all the dead presidents? It made it look like there was nothing to say about Mcain or at least McCain needed to ride in on the coat tails of the dead presidents to make it seem as though he had great accomplishments as the dead presidents. But I did notice that someone talked a great deal about what McCain would do as president, as if McCain can not speak for him self.

As I can remember everyone allways came to McCain's rescue and talked for him in the begining of the campagne. I would be interesting to see if he has learned to give a speach yet.

As a life-long Republican I have to say, LOSER-man. Isn't this the same guy the Republicans gleefully referred to as "Loserman" when he was running with Gore? As in, "Sore-Loserman"? Hypocrites? Yes, that's the correct term. Hypocrites. And sadly obvious ones at that. It's so sad. Can we imagine what James Dobson would be saying if Joe Biden's underage unwed daughter was knocked up? Can we say "political whore"? Can we say "James Dobson"? Huh? What? What'd I say?
America was dumb enough to fall for Bush, but for God's sake we must not become so brain-dead that we fall for McCain. His "judgment" is so poor that he selected as his running mate a person who only wants one of our fifty states to secede from the union. Can we say, "treason"?
McCain brags about being a dice player. Well, he rolled craps this time, and he did it with America's future. We can't trust him.

What...the RNC was boring...very uninspiring and surely unengaging for the newer generation of Y and X'ers

That's your breath you smell from all the nasty comments you're making.

It is so sad to watch our "Greatest Generation" go from best to worst in front of the whole world.

  • Posted By: joewoj @ 09/03/2008 1:21:26 AM

    Hey Cerrojim,
You comments are typical liberal. Unintellectual name calling and bashing and no solutions. Really no sensible answers. The more you bully, the more you think you win
. You criticize Americans and would rather the government take care of all your needs, instead of having the moral courage to stand for something honorable and just. This is cowardly and sadly acts of someone who wants more for himself and less for anyone else. Not a Democrat, not a patriot, not a Republican, but someone who is a selfish bigot, too afraid of the real purpose of America.
