"Poll: Palin Viewed Favorably, But As Lacking Necessary Experience
A new ABC News poll has some good news and bad news for Sarah Palin. The good news is that she has a solid 50% favorable rating in the wake of her speech Wednesday night -- but she also gets 50% saying she does not have the right experience to step in as president, compared to 66% who say Joe Biden has the right experience."
--- Gov. Palin is clearly not ready to be president should anything happen to John McCain by qualifications and experience. Why would anyone gamble on the future of this nation based upon her likeability is beyond reason. Read what a fellow Alaskan wrote and judge for yourself.

    http://mudflats.wordpress.com/2008/08/29/what-is-mccain-thinking-one-alaskans-perspective/

Gov. Palin is clearly not ready for the second highest office. I guess Republicans believe the average american can be easily manipulated by a pretty face, reading from a telepromter. From the polls and some of the media reaction, they appear to have been correct. WAKE UP AMERICANS!

And yet she has more experience than Obama, who IS a Presidential nominee... THINK.

  • Posted By: ajbjamin @ 09/04/2008 12:47:17 AM

It's obvious many of these comments are coming from Obama bloggers. She's done things that no one before her were able to do, i.e. get rid of corruption and give the state back to the people; where it belongs. She deserves a pat on the back and much respect. I mean come on, who can do all of that and still raise 4 kids and a new born son with down syndrome. You don't have to agree with all that either party has to say, but you should at least respect things that they've done and sacrifices they've made to make America a better place to call home. It's a heck of a lot more than most any of us have ever done....

Yes - point well taken. But I do wonder how this amazing supermom will handle a fulltime job as VP in the White House while handling all her family challenges at the same time. I realize lots of moms work fulltime, maybe even two jobs, and also run their households, but she will have to have a nanny and her husband as a fulltime support network if she is to pull it off.

Hat's off to her! But I still like Hillary better, and I still like Obama better as next president! I think he's truly got the peoples' interests at heart. I don't trust anybody in the GOP. Actually, I don't know that the Dems are that much better, but they seem more open, inclusive and sincere in their intention and better educated overall too!!!! That's very important to me. I didn't go to school and get a Masters in Business Administration (first female in my family to get a graduate degree, thank you!) to end up voting for dummies who mess up our economy time after time after time. That rules out the GOP lately.

      GO OBAMA-BIDEN 2008!!

      • Posted By: Michelle O @ 09/04/2008 8:33:59 AM

I think it was disingenuous for her family to bring their Downs Syndrome infant to that noisy, raucous convention hall. The only reason I can think of was to leverage the child's condition with the audience. It's not a place for an infant, nevermind a special-needs child. She could have gotten a baby-sitter for the benefit of the child. And if you have a special needs child, I'd say it's better to stay home and spend quality
time with him, given your husband has a career (at BP). I've worked all my life, but p-l-e-a-s-e, vice president and a special needs child?

        • Posted By: dachpy arvile @ 09/07/2008 2:31:27 AM

Why worry about it? If it had been Michelle Obama, she would have aborted (preferably with partial-birth abortion so she could watch the baby twitch and squirm as its brain was mutilated with scissors and sucked out with a vacuum tube while it was alive without anesthetic) it as soon as she knew it had Down's Syndrome! I'd pick Palin over Obama any day of the year.

The Obamas are monsters of first order who would not be willing to punish their daughters with a baby if they were to get pregnant. They'd simply abort those fetuses. We know this is true because Obama himself has gone on record before this election campaign and stated that there should be no restrictions on abortion.

I have the survey in my hot little hands that he claimed in front of voters that he never saw but which actually has his own handwriting on it! Kind of a hard thing to put your handwriting on something when you haven't seen it, now isn't it?!?

I am glad that she took the baby to work with her! She is the baby's mother. Besides, the baby took it quite well and was calm for most of the proceedings. I say, Good on her for bringing her infant with her instead of sticking it in day-care like much of the Obama crowd would prefer for themselves and for others to do!

Oh come on get real here! Do you understand what an ethics investigation is? It is to investigate abuse of power - is that not corruption?

She took money from the feds just as greedily as Sen. Stevens (R) Alaska did until he was investigated by the FBI - then suddenly she is not? It will be interesting to find out if she is involved in any of the same tit for tat abuses of lobbying that he was.

While she was mayor she hired one of his staff members to lobby on her "small town's" behalf in D.C. for 27 million dollars in pork barrel spending. Does that not smack of corruption to you. This is supposed to be McCain's pet peeve pork barrel spending and this lady had no problem eating at the trough until tapped on the shoulder.

Do I think she is facing scrutiny because she is a woman? No, its because she is virtually unknown, and McCain made a stupid, impulsive bid for the VP. Not the kind of decisions I want from a man who thinks war is the answer.

Suppose he wakes up some morning ticked off and wants to attack Iran? We will be gone in 20 minutes of nuclear war.

      • Posted By: dachpy arvile @ 09/04/2008 4:27:42 AM

Investigation != conviction. An Ethics Investigation must be triggered when a relative or past-relative is involved, as it is when anyone makes a claim regarding an abuse of power. It is pretty standard procedure. It does not mean that she is corrupt. Besides, the reports are coming from someone who is disgruntled. Disgruntled people tend to make a lot of stuff up. I know. I have had run- ins with not a few in my own day. But, in all seriousness, why was not the guy fired--aside from his being formerly related--when he had the sort of service record that he did? The things he did were prety awful. Where I live the goy would have been fired in short order. Personally, I think an investigation should be made into someone else's business for keeping someone like that on the force! Do you really want a corrupt and abusive cop on the force when he pulls you over on the road???

Ajbjamin: Palin said she would be an "advocate" for special needs children ... then WHY did she slash funding for children's health insurance in Alaska.

Also, McCain's record helping women & children:
McCain voted AGAINST Equal Pay for Women

McCain voted AGAINST Violence Against Women Act

McCain voted AGAINST Title X Womens Health Care Services

McCain voted AGAINST Children's Health Insurance Program-SCHIP

McCain voted AGAINST aid to Children of Domestic Violence

McCain voted AGAINST Emergency Funding for Victims of Hurricane Katrina

McCain voted AGAINST Funding Law Enforcement

McCain wants to bring back the DRAFT

      McCain voted AGAINST GI Bill

McCain voted AGAINST Funding VA for Vets

McCain voted AGAINST Funding Military Equipment Shortages in Iraq

      • Posted By: rube @ 09/04/2008 1:17:35 AM

You forgot- Mccain voted against funding the Katrina disaster too!
Never funded solar energy in Arizona where the sun lives too!
it gets old that he is so deprived of working for the middle class!

        • Posted By: dachpy arvile @ 09/04/2008 3:59:03 AM

Actually, the record shows that McCain voted YEA on the Violence Against Women Act in 1994. Congress was unanimous in renewing that bill and getting it signed into Law in 2005. The claim is a lie.

Another claim is that McCain wants to "bring back" the draft. That is another lie. McCain is opposed to using the draft. In point of fact, it has been two Democrats who tried to get legislation passed that made service in the military (or, in some other service capacity is unable to enter into the military for health reasons), one of whom--Rangel--has tried to slip it in several times as a means of protest. Each and every time McCain consistently voted Nay!

The same claims were made by the DNC and other Democrats I knew back in 2004, wherein they claimed that Bush was going to draft their children and mine in March 2005. As we all know, Bush kept his word that so long as he is President there would be no draft activated.

One other thing...we already HAVE a Draft system in place! It is called Selective Service. It is just that a Draft has not been "activated." Each and every young man who carries the card is subject to Draft activation at any time. Oh, and by the way, the original Draft Legislation that allowed for Selective Service was setup by Democrats and signed into Law by Jimmy Carter.

Of course, the claim still is a lie. So far we have two lies and I have not even finished checking your...ahem!..."facts." :-)

  • Posted By: AmericanIdol1224 @ 09/04/2008 12:19:08 PM

Hey, paigeysue21. How soon will your check arrive from the RNC? Gov. Palin is being used by John McCain to soften the message. The message is the GOP has no answers for the problem we are now facing as americans. The wonder speech was simply more "Just continue to mock the other party" so no one notices how Repubs have bankrupted this country. Clinton left office with a budget surplus. Time for Change!

    • Posted By: dachpy arvile @ 09/06/2008 4:09:16 PM

Enter Your CommentNo, the Republicans have not bankrupted the country. The truth is that oil prices and unaffordable loans and running credit cards up to the limits have done so. Yes, wars cost money and we have spent a lot in that direction but not as much as many think. In addition, the Trade Deficit is very different than most people realize.

Clinton had that surplus because of what was set in place by both Reagan and Bush, Sr. Does no one remember how well the economy was doing just a couple years ago??? Why is it that people remember the bad times more than the good times? Hmmm.....???

Obama will bring change alright--just not the change you are looking for. The stock market plunged at the news that Obama was nominated. Or, does no one remember that, either? There is a reason for that. Businesses are frightened by the prospect of Obama becoming POTUS. He already has vowed to increase their tax burdens. They will end up shipping more jobs overseas or laying more people off if Obama keeps at least that promise. Don't believe it? Just wait and see for yourselves should he get in--well, if he can demonstrate that he was born an American, that is.

As it stands now, the birth certificate on his official websites is a forgery and several sources have come forward that seem to indicate that Obama (a.k.a. Barry Suetoro) is an Indonesian national! A lawyer just was notified that Obama was served with papers demanding that a court grant that Obama (a.k.a. Suetoro) be forced to provide a valid US birth certificate as proof of American citizenship. :-)

As an independent I was a little disappointed with the speeches last night. I wanted to learn a bit more about Gov. Palin and what she has done or will do as a VP for this great country I too love. Instead, all I heard was anger and harsh comments that were a bit disrespectful towards the Obamas and the Democratic party. I wanted to hear more about what would be done to improve our declining economy and helping the middle class American like myself. Last night was like a comedy show, and yes! I had a great laugh but please lets get back to the real issues please. I am still undecided, because although I love a good laugh I love knowing whether the company I am working for will still be there tomorrow because they did'nt out- sourced my job to one of these foreign countries. Although I am not quite happy with the Democrats either, I must quote Sen. Obama when he said "enough is ENOUGH." This is not middle or high school I dont care who has the best jokes. GOD BLESS AMERICA if this is all we have to look forward to in November.

Sure, everyoen could figure it all out but each and every comment was well placed and well deserved, with all their sexist comments made against her as soon as it was known or rumored that she was the pick. Obama drew first blood.

I love it! Partial plagiarism from other sources seems to be all I saw in that article. If the "authors" of the piece were honest themselves, they would have attributed their sources! Palin did not say that construction has begun, only that when the deal was struck they began the project. This include additional planning, coordination and so forth. True, the Feds have not approved the plan as yet but the process has begun to building the pipeline. And, although the price of building is ten billion more dollars than most estimates today, Palin takes into account inflation of costs that will be involved over time over the next few years. That is a smart Governor, not an exaggerator.

On the Bridge business, I can see exactly where she was going with this as I studied it out a bit. The project was begun before she took the reins of governorship. She at first supported the idea. Yes, I can see why she did. The airport on the island is an international airport! A bridge could have been a good thing. Unfortunately, as time went on, Congress dilly-dallied around (as Congress is wont to do at times) and they then refused to cover the entire cost. In addition, cost estimates kept rising so Palin pulled the plug on the whole project. The money will be going elsewhere in Alaska but not to that bridge to nowhere at this time.

HEY WE CAN USE JOHN McCAIN'S MIDDLE NAME(SIDNEY) AND JOE BIDEN'S MIDDLE NAME(ROBINETTE) OR EVEN SARAH PALIN'S MIDDLE NAME (HEATH) BUT YOU BETTER NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT MENTIONING BARACK OBAMA'S MIDDLE NAME BECAUSE IF YOU DO THEN YOU ARE TRYING TO SCARE PEOPLE ! IT IS HUSSEIN ! THAT DON'T SCARE ME BUT HIS POLICIES DO !!

  • Posted By: Michelle O @ 09/04/2008 8:16:20 AM

Palin said Obama wants to raise taxes. Well, he wants to raise the taxes only of the wealthiest Americans; the middle class and poor would derive TAX CUTS under his plan. SEE HIS ACCEPTANCE SPEECH ON VIDEO. Anyway, what a shame -- her debut was marred by mudslinging and incorrect 'facts'. Better if she would try to make herself shine on her own merits, than to try to discredit Obama with lies about his.

    • Posted By: dachpy arvile @ 09/06/2008 1:02:40 AM

The tax cuts will do those middle-class and poverty-class people little good when their jobs get shipped overseas because the employer would rather hire out of the country or lay off workers than pay additional taxes on payroll, capital-gains, and investments that Obama proposed in the public view! Get real! We are trying to bolster the economy before it collapses, not make it worse!

I don't like promises of grand programs and tax cuts for 95% of the people when we are in such debt. Maybe I'm the ultimate idealist but what's wrong with TELLING THE TRUTH for once. Under the circumstances we can't have it all right now. I'm sorry but politicians like Mr. Obama assume the gullibility of people by telling them what they want to hear. A different kind of politics? So far, it's pretty run of the mill. There is no utopia out there - there is just..life.

Well life should not be not eating so that you have enough money to put one gallon in you tank to get home from work, then expecting a better life for you child and realizing you may not even be able to afford to send them to college, get real this is not life, this is nation wide poverty in whats suppose to be one of the wealthiest nations in the world, it doesn't make any sense.

There is no language in the federal criminal statute Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban that states or provides that Alaskan State Troopers are exempt from its provisions. Anyone including State Troopers are guilty of a federal felony punishable by five years in prison and a $100,000 fine for simple mere possession of a firearm if they are subject to an ordinary protective order for domestic violence. Importantly the reports state that the estranged spouse filed for divorce and a domestic violence protective order on April 11, 2005 against the State Trooper. It has not been reported whether a protective order was issued but in most cases protective orders are customarily issued. Under new federal law, anyone subject to a protective order or convicted of misdemeanor domestic assault or felony assault is subject to a ban on possession or use of a handgun for a minimum of five years or at least to the end of the protective order. Some have argued that the ban is forever even after the protective order expires. The Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban is a federal law that applies to everyone including police officers and servicemen and servicewoman. Anyone in the military is subject to a discharge if a protective order is issued against them. It is a felony to violate the federal law Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban and the penalty is five years in prison. Every day that the trooper wore his sidearm or rode in his patrol car with a shotgun in the trunk, he was committing a felony and violating the federal law. If a protective order was issued and the trooper became subject to the order, the trooper should have been ineligible to be a State law enforcement officer and it would have been a slam dunk to terminate him. The State Police Commissioner should have been aware of this law and should have terminated the brother-in-law without being asked. The State Commissioner???s failure to uphold the federal law should have been enough grounds for his own termination.

Lot of "if's" in this post. You don't know the facts. Neither do I. What's clear, however, is that is was a matter for the courts, not the governor's office.

    • Posted By: cwhite2008 @ 09/04/2008 2:12:48 PM

You have to rememeber that divorce is an ugly thing and both parties (in some cases) say and do some hurtful things to the other. We are only hearing the Palin side of this story, which strikes me a bit odd since so much has been stressed about the importance of keeping things within the family that shouldn't be availed for public scrutiny ! Why then would the Palin's put the ex brother-in-law out on the chopping block like they did by calling his boss to air his private business? Ain't that calling the kettle black!

  • Posted By: willnotvoteobama @ 09/05/2008 9:45:29 AM

Part 1 Who got Obama started in his political career? William Ayers, of course, is the Weather Underground bomber. And Obama began his career, his coming out party in 1995, and Ayers and Bernadine Dorns home.
And then for, you know, some 20 years, Obama has been working with Ayers, certainly since 1995, on a series of foundations: the Annenberg Foundation and the Woods Foundation. The boards of directors together, or in the Annenberg Foundation, Ayers created it, and Obama was on it. And together they spent the money of these foundations to implement their radical socialist agenda.
A lot of people say, no, they just know each other. They???re not friends. Just because -- you know, just because they worked on boards together.
Obama was in 1995 going to take the seat of Alice Palmer, who is also an extreme socialist. She???s an African-American who had actually gone to Russia and had attended communist party meetings and reported on them. And it was all very much of a leftist gathering.
Ayers and Dorns were like the stamp of approval on Obama, introducing them to their click of leftist friends for funding and for advancing his candidacy. So that very beginning was a chosen intentionally association with Ayers and Dorns to launch Obama`s career, and Obama knew exactly what he was doing picking him.
Senator Obama is the one who???s saying, "This is just another guy in my neighborhood," but in fact, that???s not true at all. It may turn out to be that they had a much closer relationship through their work together on the Annenberg Challenge to create their ideas to control the government and its people that???s the challenge!
His agenda -- I believe, in 2001, in which Ayers was unrepentant, saying that he wished he bombed more. And obama???s greatest influence is
Saul Alinsky he was a radical socialist organizer. His main book was "Rules for Radicals." His methodology was you go in as a community organizer. That means, really, a rabble-rouser.
You rub raw the discontent of the community, almost in a communist sense. You find class antagonisms. You learn to speak the grievances in the people???s own logic and language, and then you go for radical redistribution of income and wealth through gaming power and mobilizing the community. Making them think that your working for them by doing small stuff that seems to help but ultimately you gain far more than the people you help it???s a trick to get them on your side because it seems you care about them and in turn they move you to the top of the political ladder!

    • Posted By: willnotvoteobama @ 09/05/2008 9:46:35 AM

      Part 2???
The -- the connection to Saul Alinsky. In
Fact, Alinsky had change as his mantra. And by it, he meant radical socialist redistribution of income from the haves to the have-nots. That was the primary purpose.
Alinsky dedicated "Rules to Radicals" to Lucifer, whom he called the first radical. And he said it was a Machiavellian approach, which means you???ll lie, do whatever you need to do to get power, because the haves were going to lose to the have-nots, who were being championed by this community organizer. (Obama)
The theme is common that Senator Obama made in San Francisco about people are bitter, clinging to God and to guns. That is actually a paraphrase of something Saul Alinsky wrote in that same book, in "Rules for Radicals."
A very condescending view that he has of the middle class as people who are lost, who -- he says that they turn bitter, because they cling to certain fixed points that are elusory, but very real to them. They ask questions that Alinsky considers meaningless, like what does our flag mean to you? Interestingly, something that was just said at the Republican convention. That???s Alinsky. You know, obama???s his influence coming through.
Just take a look at his taxation policies. He wants to increase capital gains, because he says they???re unfair.
The point is that he clings to this relationship. And he???s even defending Ayers now. His campaign is defending Ayers, despite the fact that he???s an unrepentant terrorist who set bombs and may, according to congressional testimony, may have even been involved or had knowledge of a bombing that killed somebody. That???s the important thing.
Alinsky taught to say whatever is necessary to get power. That???s the Machiavellian approach. When Obama articulates policy positions, especially moving to the center, it may be completely calculated. We will not see the real Obama until its too late then we are going to be stuck in a radical system that will take a civil war to get out of !

Alaska has a huge budget because they get a huge amount of federal dollars. They don't have that budget because they have people with income or industry. They are known as the biggest hog at the pork barrel trough.

As a Californian who faces 45% of my fed tax dollars going elsewhere - the claims that Alaska has this huge budget which is mainly our money from our incomes - really blows me away - and of course turns me off on this woman. She manages my money?

Great - my schools suffer, my kids get second rate education but up in Alaska you can use my money for your pet projects and continue to balance your budgets with a surplus - while we deal with deficits - which are brought on by your running mate and his views about immigration. (Oh yeah, he changed his mind on his own bill about that didn't he)

    • Posted By: rukiddingm @ 09/04/2008 12:48:40 PM

perhaps if california didn't allow half the population of mexico in and give these illegals all americans benefits your taxes would not be so freaking high!!!

      • Posted By: cwhite2008 @ 09/04/2008 6:07:30 PM

Get your facts straight! Californians can't help it if people sneak across our border in order to seek a better opportunity. Don't be angry because we over here in Urban America have a diverse population unlike Alaska's. And, even though we have illegal immigrants, we still treat them in a humanitarian fashion, isn't that what happened when illegal immigrants snuck into this country back when the Mayflower landed and the Indians instead of damning them to hell, they taught them how to survive! At least the Mexicans aren't stealing our land and killing our people! Oh I guess we can't speak about that either!

Trust me! Dems might be scared, but its not because Palin and McCain are good trash talkers. If anything, we are fearful of the fact that these out of touch with reality people might actually win and that would definitely be bad for the middle class and small town Americans who then will be left with no advocate or voice. That's what got Dems scared! Not the mudslinging because we can get over that like a bad cold!

If she is like my neighbor, then I want no part of her. My neighbor across the street is Bi-polar and the oneuy to my left is manic depressant. A product of PTSD and continual engagement in a war that should have never been waged. One dem senator put it clearly. The Repubs have managed to repackage the same message and expect people to buy it. I was fooled by the fears perpertrated by the Bush Administration, but never again. This is from a two-time Iraqi war Vet that puts me clearly ahead of Gov Palins Foreign Policy experience. You say Obama is an empty suit. I say I'd rather have his intellect running the country than a 72 year old war monger and an "empty skirt" a heartbeat away from being Commander in Chief.

Don't you see...we haven't been attacked since 9/11. I wish the Republicans would talk more about this. Our enemies have no fear and no diplomacy. In turn we must be firm, which may mean that we are scoffed. But isn't it worth it? I'd rather have countries be annoyed with us than attach us. Wouldn't you? As a veteran, you must see why McCain argued for the surge....to get us out of there sooner! It's so easy for Obama to say that he didn't vote for the war since that time is in the past. We are still at war and must do want we can to finish. Obama has no plan for this. That is what scares me.

Its too bad our world isn't simply a community that needs an organizer. LOL GO SARAH!! GIVE EM HELL!!!

    • Posted By: cwhite2008 @ 09/04/2008 2:33:01 PM

But we need a hocky mom, mayor of a town smaller than the number of students that attends my daughter's school? Yeah right! At least the community organizer is out there getting in touch with his constituents so to better serve our needs. That's what MLK did and if it wasn't for him, I'd probably not be able to eat in certain resturants, attend certain schools and functions, nor would I be able to obtain a good paying job that doesn't require me scrubing someone's toilet! Go Barack! Don't let these haters keep you from your dreams! This day is going to come whether its this election or one down the road, so folks better start excepting change now!

Watching Sarah Palin tonight, I might just turn republican I love her!

    • Posted By: cwhite2008 @ 09/04/2008 2:26:13 PM

Don't get caught up in the hype! This woman cannot begin to understand the plight of America. Wake up! The majority of America is not in Alaska! If talking trash about people makes you want to be a republican than "kick rocks" and good luck because unless you have money, you won't benefit from joining that party!

    • Posted By: Press Release @ 09/03/2008 11:40:08 PM

You are already Republican. No real person would switch to Palinader because of her speech prepared by McCain and his advisors. I agree , thanks goodness she said some hateful things and she attacked the new media, not a good think to do . Watch out now, their going to eat her alive.

As an independent voter in Ohio who is still trying to process this election before making a decision, I have to say that the hate I see is coming from the left and from Democrats. I read these posts and realize that for some, substance doesn't matter, a politicians stance on issues doesn't matter. For some it appears the only thing important is destroying the other side. Truth doesn't seem to matter to some, all that matters is destroying the other party.

Here is one contrast I've noticed. I didn't see Republicans causing riots in the streets in Denver, yet CNN seems to want to highlight Democrats marching in the streets this week. I don't see the hate coming from Republicans, I see the hate coming from Democrats and their supporters.

I am finding it difficult to support Obama and the party of hatred. The poision I see posted on these pages from Democrats and the left, has me leaning towards the right.

Talk about hatred! Wow! What plant are you on? For the last 3 days that's all we've heard! Insult after insult! I still am waiting to her something substantive other than "You have an advocate in the White House for persons with disabilities" that's great, but who is going to advocate for the homeless, the uninsured, for the victims of violent crimes or other crimes." Who is going to advocate for the underpriviledged or those teens who are pregnant, but don't have family to support their situation? Who, who, who??? It ain't going to be McCain and Palin that's for sure! The don't have a clue as to what the majority (less fortunate) need because they are too busy putting down those who have fought those battles in order for equal opportunity to finally avail itself. Good luck with that!

I don't hate the Republicans, I just think they are totally misguided, they have no idea what it is like for the average American who doesn't own 7 homes or doesn't have the other parent at home so they work to jobs barely surviving today. I am a single mom, work two jobs, and don't receive any help, I just don't want my daughter to have to struggle like me and I can't see McKain caring about my problems or my daughter. Not because he doesn't want to but simple because he doesn't share the same problems.

and how is obma gonna help you, he will raise taxes no doubt about it, how you gonna make ends meet then, get a 3rd job? i'm a single mom as well with a HS education, but though hard work and learning a skill and not living above my means I'm doing just fine

    • Posted By: nickd08 @ 09/04/2008 11:18:28 AM

Substance does matter, and there was NONE of it in her speech last night. I really don't care about her family, but it seems to be all she's running on.

    • Posted By: photons @ 09/04/2008 11:02:56 AM

You can lean toward the right all the way to IRAN!!

      • Posted By: jamieman @ 09/04/2008 11:06:43 AM

The protests at the DNC and RNC are not caused by either party. Outside groups protested at both events, but the Denver police did a much better job of crowd control

    • Posted By: an obama girl @ 09/04/2008 10:16:39 AM

Sarah Palin has no substance and apparently no integrity. She like her colleagues George Bush just stood before the American people and lied!

I hate to see the right wing Busheys stand before the American people and lie in order to have their way!

Sarah palin sounds like the weapons of mass destruction story all over again!

The American people are tired of all the lies! Except maybe you? Or don't you know the difference?

"She's just like your neighbor." You know, your neighbor the former beauty pageant winner...with five kids...who hunts moose...who's glad her son is going to war because it's part of God's plan...who prays for Jesus to build a new pipeline. Your neighbor with the $400 million dollar bridge to nowhere...and the unwed, pregnant, teenage daughter...and the husband in the secessionist political party. That's right...THAT neighbor. Just a regular hometown gal and her normal, average all-American family..

Comment: Here's what Ms. Palin said in her emails that "didn't" prove she tried to get her sister's ex fired.

"This trooper is still out on the street, in fact he's been promoted," said a Feb. 7, 2007, e-mail sent from Palin's personal Yahoo account.

It's damning but falls in line with her little Alaskan soap opera.

My neighbors don't advocate the shooting of dogs, aeriel denning which is so hoffific I can't even describe.
She is even stepping up the effort now, and all the conservation and environmental groups have been on her tail for years. In no way is she like any of MY neighbors, thank heavens. Ladies and gentlemen, if you don't know about this --educate yourself on the subject, visit defenders.com or google the subject.

    • Posted By: willnotvoteobama @ 09/04/2008 9:27:27 AM

thats because you don't live in a place where if the dogs ( coyotes, wolfs and wild dogs) are not controlled then they will snatch you kid while they play in the back yard and eat them thats why there is aeriel denning and shooting of those animals its for public saftey if a pit bull or any other dog deemed dangerous attacks your kid and is threating a animal control officer while he's there to pick it up it will be shot too ! and just so you know she did not start this program the D.N.R. did well over fifty years ago ! but she is a good shot so i hear !!!

If you're going to join the discussion and want to be taken seriously, how about some punctuation.

WHY CAN'T LIBERALS READ ONE LONG SENTANCE ? THEY CLAIM TO BE ABLE TO DO EVERYTHING ELSE !

      • Posted By: an obama girl @ 09/04/2008 10:19:11 AM

Dick Chaney claims to be a good shot as well! I wouldn't let my kids play in any yard with Uncle Dick Chaney!

        • Posted By: willnotvoteobama @ 09/04/2008 10:37:37 AM

but would you let him shoot a dog that was attacking your kid ? or are you so far up obama's behind that even a republican bullet to save your kid would be like making you a traitor to the kool aid crowd ?
