Yes, Palin is JUST like your neighbour ....she sold a JET aircraft on email.
    My neighbors believe in Science.
My neighbors wonder if Romney or Ridge feel gender-discriminated against.
    My neighbors like polar bears.
My neighbors like to protect something beautiful for their grandchildren - the Alaska National Wildlife Reserve
My neighbor do not like to be lied to with the stories on candidates being changed from day to day.

I think Sarah Palin is a wonderful pick for vice President. She demostrates that longterm Democratic policies have caused our current energy crisis. Her husband who works for British Petroleum should be working for the former American owned Arco Oil Company. Arco Oil Company with its substantial oil reserves should have bought British Petroleum instead of British Petroleum buying out Arco Oil Company. Barack Obama complained at his acceptance speech in Denver about oil company tax breaks and praised the alleged jobs created under the administration of Bill Clinton. The following story should shed light on Obama???s praise of the economic policies of Bill Clinton. While camping and attending a bluegrass music festival, I took a tour of Comanche Peak Power Plant, the last nuclear power plant built in the United States. The plant is unobtrusive and is at perfect harmony with its environment. It is located near Glen Rose Texas a beautiful area that has bluegrass band festivals in the summer. It is a wonderful scenic country area and home to Dinosaur World and a state park. There are dinosaur tracks from 100 million years ago along the riverbed that can be seen in the water due to erosion and some say that the tracks are heading in the direction of New York City. The Brazos River flows through the area and the place is an environmental heaven. There used to be an old green Sinclair Oil Company dinasour statue that stood at the park. Ironically most of the stations and assets of Sinclair Oil Company was bought by Arco Oil Company. Arco Oil Company was considered the jewell of all American oil companies for having explored and developed the Alaskan North Slope and at one time owning eighty percent of our proven Alaskan oil reserves. Arco Oil Company was subsequently bought out later by foreign owned British Petroleum during the second administration of Bill Clinton. The point of this comment is twofold. The long-term hostility of the Democratic Party leadership toward United States owned energy companies has led to the sale of United States oil companies to foreign interests and that nuclear power plants can even be located next to wonderful wildlife and park areas and make good unobtrusive neighbors. Arco Oil Company with its substantial Alaskan oil reserves should have bought out British Petroleum instead of the other way around. Comanche Peak in Glen Rose the last nuclear power plant built in the United States symbolizes the death of the American owned nuclear power industry and the decline of United States owned oil companies due to the hostile business environment created by Democratic Party leadership. Sinclair Oil Company and Arco Oil no longer exist, British Petroleum has replaced them under the second Democratic administration of Bill Clinton.

CNN) ??? Prominent Republican analysts Peggy Noonan and Mike Murphy became the latest victims of an open microphone Wednesday, caught after a segment on MSNBC trashing John McCain's pick of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate.

Noonan, a Wall Street Journal columnist and former speechwriter for Ronald Reagan, and Murphy, a campaign strategist and onetime aide to John McCain, can both be heard expressing disbelief with the pick of Palin after they apparently thought they were in a commercial break.

???I come out of the blue swing-state governor world, Engler, Whitman, Thompson, Mitt Romney,??? Murphy said during the mishap which has since been posted on YouTube. Murphy later flatly says of the pick, "It's not going to work."

Noonan is heard going even further, saying of the presidential race, "It's over."

"I think they went for this ??? excuse me??? political bulls???t about narratives," Noonan also said. "Every time the Republicans do that, because that's not where they live and it's not what they're good at, they blow it."

Murphy, who was a senior adviser to John McCain's 2000 presidential bid, also adds, "You know what's really the worst thing about it? The greatness of McCain is no cynicism, and this is cynical."

I am sorry, but she is not like any of my neighbors. Most of my neighbors are working 2-3 jobs just to make ends meet. My neighbors cannot take vacations, or in most cases even go out for more than a day picnic. My neighbors are past retirement age, but have to work in order to pay their medical bills (some in their late 70's and early 80's). My neighbors cannot hope to send their children to College without going bankrupt at some point. My neighbors choose not to purchase health insurance hoping that nothing happens of a catastorphic nature. My neighbors keep hoping that their government will realize some day that a Nation is only as great as the elected government that protects their rights. Ms Palin and ther present administration and their well to do friends, corporations and oil barons do not have any of these worries. We need a leadership NOW, led by Barock Obama who has shown that he understands the plight of the average American and has drawn up viable plans to bring our Nation back on its feet, with respect and bring us a security for our Nation by first building the human pride, the infrstructure, provide all citizens an affordable health plan, protect our Social Security from those who would privatize it and abuse the money we give them worse than the Bush/McCain90% have done in the past eight years. God, we don't need neighbors like we have had in the White House the past eight years. The Republicans need to be ousted so that they can truly think about how close they have brought this once great country to the abyss of history's has beens.

Democrats talk at the Denver convention about creating and keeping American jobs. Ironically the building that housed the largest research and development division of Arco Oil Company in Texas was sold by British Petroleum to Perot Systems and now serves as its headquarters. Perot Systems was founded by Ross Perot who previously created EDS Electronic Data Systems and who most importantly has been credited with throwing the 1992 Presidential election to Bill Clinton by drawing off many independent voters who would have voted Republican for George Bush senior. Perot Systems derives a significant amount of its business from state and federal contracts. A building that used to house American engineers, geologists, scientists, logistics people and ordinary employees who worked for an American owned oil company that strived to fill the gas tank for the average American now houses a company that focuses on giving computer support on state and the federal government social service contracts. This is the Democratic Party version of a success story. Outsourced government work under Bill Clinton replaces a former American owned world admired jewell of the oil industry that had provided gas for the American gas tank and many good American jobs for many years. So if you need reasonably price gas for your car, contact Bill Clinton and Perot Systems and ask them to give you a gallon of gas. This is the Democratic version of a success story, outsourced government work replacing a real American owned company that produced a real needed product at a reasonable price for the average American household.

As to why John McCain picked Governor Sarah Palin, John McCain intends to follow through and make his Project Lexington for United States energy independence the dominant issue in this campaign. Governor Sarah Palin is a strong supporter of increased offshore drilling and she knows that Alaska has an offshore coastline greater than the rest of the country combined and is also the leading state in oil production. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and John McCain understand that Obama and the Democrats would never consider government loan guarantees or tax breaks for a sure thing that will produce energy for the American gas tank. In fact Democrats are trying to put together a so-called windfall profits tax which will have the effect of discouraging future investment in the United States oil industry. John McCain also knows that Governor Sarah Palin family situation also illustrates that longterm Democratic leadership hostility and policies toward United States owned energy companies have caused our current energy crisis. Her husband who works for British Petroleum should be working for the former American owned Arco Oil Company. Arco Oil Company developed and explored the Alaska North Slope and formerly owned eighty percent of our proven Alaskan reserves. With its substantial oil reserves Arco Oil Company should have bought British Petroleum instead of British Petroleum buying out Arco Oil Company during the second Bill Clinton administration. With the right business environment and support from both political parties in the United States, Arco Oil Company might have been more successful and been able to buy out British Petroleum instead of British Petroleum buying out Arco Oil Company. Look at Apple Computer and Microsoft. Their success in the computer world have made them bullet proof to corporate takeovers. Longterm Democratic hostility and opposition to offshore drilling and periodic talk of windfall profits taxes contributed to the takeover of Arco Oil Company by foreign owned British Petroleum.

That's a horribly mean thing to say about my wonderful Democratic, pro-choice, hard working, suburban neighbors and their families.

i dont think I want to be in a neighborhood of rednecks, recalcitrants, separatists such as the Palins are. She's a carbon copy of McCain when it comes to cateting to lobbyists, speckal interest groups and the Iraq war as a Task from God talk. Who is more dangerous here, one who will incite fanaticisim and extremism or one who values diplomacy and dialogue. Right on, rightwingers, your party will start WWIII for sure, with mentally unbalanced McCain and a redneck Palin.

They must have a lot of stacked rigs in Alaska if they think the government is preventing drilling there. Just what is the rig count there? We can't get rigs enough to drill the holes we have leases on here. If they have stacked rigs in Alaska send them down here. Surely the governor who is such an expert on energy policy knows off the top of her head what her state shows for stacked rigs. That's why we have to get the government (including her state government) off our backs so we can drill, drill, drill. Sen. McCain says she stood up to the oil industry. How did she do that? Did it slow down drilling? Did she tell Cheney?
