Haha! and what? Obama has foreign policy under his belt? Don't think so!
Haha! and what? Obama has foreign policy under his belt? Don't think so!
Finally someone with some sense
They did......That is the reason we have McCain and Palin. And by the way I am a Democrate>
I as an American woman, mother and professional working woman, RN, do not want to be equated with a bulldog in lipstick Palin needs to take it back to Alaska along with her drill mentality, what a disgrace to her gender to lower herself to the Republican way, she is no maverick just more of the same. Does she have an original idea in her head or is she just going to be a puppet and let MCcain pull her strings.
I too am an American woman, a mother, grandmother and working professional. I would love to see a strong independent woman like Sara Palen in office along with a true American Patriot, John McCain rather then some "community organizer" that spent what little time in office campaigning for Presendent and couldn't even make decisions while he was there! Give me a break and stop thinking only along party lines. I didn't like everything Bush did either but as I said earlier, it scares the heck out of me to think of Obama in office when we have a crisis like 911 that almost destoys our country! Think about it! And the comment about Palen being a puppet is just plain stupid, she is anything but a puppet!
Palin is in the right place at the right time..All her ideas and experience are better than either Obama or his running mate. She is willing to stand up and fight for her family, her state and her county plus her gender. I think you are a little jealous. I am a registered Democrat but now I have a reason to vote Republican. And, yes I am female, a mother, grandmother and retired Legal Secretary. Go Palin and McCain
McCain's campaign has been incredibly manipulative of women. They tried to paint H. Clinton as a victim and used her against image against her displeasure and then at the stake of undermining his own standard for "experience" and being ready to lead "on day one" he hauls in Palin to do the dirty work to strictly benefit himself and the good ole boys that Palin supposedly fights; I can't stand the way he and his campaign are using women as pawns!!!
AND THEY WILL NEVER GET HILLARY VOTES. HEY, I'M A BAND MOM, MAYBE I SHOULD RUN FOR PRESIDENT! OBAMA / BIDEN 08
So what would you like? Would you like for women to be percieved as barefoot and in the kitchen still? Or do you want women to be seen as equals? I get confused because on the one side everyone was for Hillary, who has never been a Gov or mayor to be president, then when another woman who has served roles like Gov and mayor you tell everyone she's just a soccer mom and needs to go home. Please explain why this difference. Hillary has been a first lady and a junior Senator, she still hasn't made the final call on much besides the color of the tablecloth.
Why all this talk about Palin's lack of experience with no mention of Obamas lack of experience. After all, McCain is the one running for President, not Palin. I would rather have McCain - who clearly has more experience then anyone on either ticket, be President then Obama who spent most of his time while in the Senate campaigning. And what about all Obamas "non-votes - Present" when called to vote on and issue, just shows how he either can't make up his mind or has no clue what is going on! My vote is for McCain & Palin!!!!

I am going to post my comment and I do not intend to get in an argument with anyone. To begin with, I used to be a Republican until I learned that they cared nothing about middle class working people, health care for those people, whether they were losing their jobs and homes or about a disabled person who can no longer work but has to wait and wait to even get a hearing on Social Security, when there are minor children involved.
My eyes were opened that they are a ???rich man???s party??? interested only in the wealthy.
So they think they have a ???star??? in their VP choice? You will notice that not one of them have mentioned helping those middle class workers who have paid taxes for years only to be constantly looked over in order to give more and more tax breaks to those who make
huge profits and incomes. When the middle class taxpayers are all gone, because all the good jobs are going overseas, who is going to support this country? More loans from China and the Arab countries?
The Republicans talk about deficits???? They came into office in the black and the deficit is so high now, it is mind boggling! I will never vote for another Republican!!
Not to say anything bad about Painlin but there were other more qualified Republican candidates for VP that Mcain could have choosen. Take what happened with GW, he was governor (don't ask me how he got there??) of my great state of Texas but had no foreign experience and see where we are now....
On Wednesday morning, a teenage boy from Alaska stood in a receiving line on an airport tarmac, being glad-handed by the potential next president of the United States ? because he got his girlfriend pregnant. TV cameras were lined up in advance. The mind boggles. GIVE ME A BREAK GOP!!!

First - Sarah is not running for President - she is the Vice Presidential nominee. Second - may I remind you all that four of the last five Presidnets were Govenors prior to becoming President and NONE of them had ANY foreigh policy experience. This would include Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan - both of whom did a pretty good job.

According to your name you couldn't care less about facts you just believe your party's word is gospel.
Some Democratic leaders including Obama but not Joe Leiberman have asked what have we accomplished in Iraq? John McCain was right in his support for the Iraq surge. Iraq today is in relative peace and is no longer hostile to the United States. Iraq is currently producing two and a half million barrels of oil a day and is capable of producing four and half million barrels a day. At $120 one hundred and twenty dollars a barrel Iraq has current oil revenues of $300 three hundred million dollars a day. Those revenues can grow to $500 million dollars a day with increased production. Thanks to the John McCain support of the war and the surge $300 million dollars a day are not being funneled to enemies of the United States to buy missiles and nuclear weapons that can be used against the United States. With an income stream of three hundred million dollars a day, Iraq was capable of purchasing hundreds of nuclear weapons. Our current progress with North Korea on nuclear issues is a result of cutting off the money flow and purchase of missiles and nuclear technology from North Korea by Iraq.
Thanks to our foolish meddling a post-war Iraq will certainly vote to become an Iranian satellite state and use those billions of oil dollars to promote a fundamentalist Shiite agenda. We are viewed as an occupation force and they can't wait to get rid of us. Forget your talking points, I've been there.
North Korea today threatened to restart its nuclear program. What success we have had is due to bribing them.
So now you know what the future holds for Iraq? Amazing. You want to know the first concern the Iraqi citizens asked when they heard our controling party changed? They were concerned that the military wasn't going to finish the job.
You really are not worth talking to.
If you can't see that she has MORE EXPERIENCE than Obama, and that you are arguing her experience has not made her ready for the, "greatest and most powerful nation on earth," then what does that say about Obama.
You tell me.
If she has more experience than he does, you tell me exactly how his more qualified to fill that role.
Oh, yeah--you also forgot--when it comes to experience--Mccain also has tons more than Obama.
In fact, Palin has more EXECUTIVE experience than you entire ticket combined. But you are arguing that they are the ones you want leading the free world?
You don't even realize how you are not making any sense.
You are arguing she is not qualifed, when she has a better resume than Obama.
You're an idiot.
W was governor and look where all of his "experience" got us. People said the same thing about Lincoln, and his ability to lead and unite went far to make him one of the best presidents we've had. I just can't vote for someone who is so radically anti-abortion, anti-sex ed, pro-gun, and bible thumping.
AMEN!! OBAMA / BIDEN 08
have you seen the results of Palin's so called experience/ deficit when mayor, abuse of power as governor interests in Alaska seceding from US, hiring of lobbyists, bridge to nowhere allocated funds in the millions of dollars spent and project put on back burner money not returned, head of 527 for Stephens who has been indicted, owned small business which was closed because she and spouse refused to comply with state law and policies Please do your homework before defending such a poor choice of McCain but that's typical of him since he is clueless
I now know why I don't like "the media." "How long will it take Palin to learn . . . .?" Well, how long did it take YOU to research this question? A few hours? And why do you only ask that of Palin and not of Obama? By the way, it took me a very short time to read your "crash course."
Like Giulani said, it takes more than just voting "present" to quantify state and federal experience. AND THE PRESIDENCY IS NOT A JOB WHERE YOU CAN JUST BE PRESENT.
You have to make decisions, of which Mccain has been doing for over twenty years. Decisions that Obama has yet to make, has not made. and what thinking person would put that in the Oval Office.
Good Luck
You're really gonna need it.
LOL
And I would quit referring to past president's--I gave you the Adams flub. You looked stupid enough with that one alone. Lincoln, well, he was also Republican.
Just goes to show you which party the great ones belonged to.
Giuliani needs to stick to NOUN - VERB - 911. It seems he is just filled with negative comments. Why doesn't the GOP ever talk about the issues. What are they going to do about the outrageous costs of Health care in this country. What are they going to do about good paying jobs leaving this country. What are they going to do about educating our children affordably. STOP wasting your time trying to SCARE the public again and again and again. It worked to get Bush a second term but it will not work this time.
Do you really belive the parties haven't changed idealogies in all that time. How very naive you must be. Especially if yiou think that someone who was in charge of handing out ice-fishing permits a year and a half ago is ready to lead the greatest and most powerful nation on earth.
Voted for W twice, didn't ya???
She has shown the ability to work intelligently with others. A top Secretary of State , and with McCain by her side, will mold her foreign policy needs. I well remember, maverick, Maggie Thatcher. Would one call O'Bama a foreign policy expert? Hardly.

mccainsupporter if Iraq was such a good idea for invasion why has it brought nothing positive to the US, are you aware that 4100+ Americans have died and tens of thousands are maimed and this revenue you speak of is gaining interest for Iraq by sitting in our banks while we spend billions on their country you and your candidate are n't concerned with Americans that is obvious by your comments and his.
"since she has the same level of intelligence as W she would be about as incompetent. "
Right, so incompetent she has run a state with an 80% approval rating. The only incompetent candidate is Obama, unless you think all the president has to do is make pretty and insincere speeches.
No way, no how, No Obama.
'Honeymoon' approval ratings early in a term of office are not clear indicator's of a person's competency. Remember when this sorry excuse for a president had 90% approval ratings?
2 years is an awfully long honeymoon.
