    One thing we already know well about Sarah Palin from her speech last night. She'll fit in well with the GOP's kennel of attack dog liars. And yet she claims to be "fresh and new." Sorry, Sarah, you represent everything that is distasteful about the "old" GOP.

    Would be very interested to see a fact check on Palin's support of the Alaska separatist movement - can you call that "country first?" Also, her line item veto on funding for housing for unwed mothers...

    Religion over science, obfuscation in place of the truth, party platform remiss of integrity, placating to special interests instead of upholding the law, the greed for power at the cost of Constitutional balance -- these are the inherent traits of the modern day Republican.

    All the Republican braying and personal attacks will never convince those of us who watch you with amazement that the acts you continue to perpetrate will indeed bring about the demise of the great Country.

    Democrats must unite to beat down once and for all these offending radical right-wing nut jobs or this world will forever be lost...

      And the GOP wants to burn the Bill of Rights and replace it with the Bible. They want to give disproportionate tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy and major corporations, and give those same corporations free reign to regulate themselves, especially those that have gotten fat while bringing ruin to the national economy. They want to further alienate our allies abroad, and provoke potential enemies, cuz nothing like a little war to keep the far right happy.

    I am tired as an american to hear this hipocrisy of the right wing conservatives, open your eyes and see what is happening to our country and our world. Animals are going extict by the thousands our weather is changing dramatically, hurricanes are lining up one after another causing billions in damage and all they want to do is continue with the status quo.

      Trite, naive comment by a little mind. When the Congress has a slight majority for one party and the Executive branch is controlled by the other party, stagnation commonly ensues. Bush has vetoed any legislation that would push the nation in a different direction.

      I believe that Gov. Palin would have to aggree with you on this. The important issues are Energy, health care and security. I am believe that she would rather have her family left out of this as well. Is it your assertion that the liberal media is unfit to govern this country? I only ask for clarification as the liberal media are the ones that are spending all of thier time and energy finding out the dirt on the Palin Family.     I find it funny that the dem. supporters are critical of rep. spins yet they excuse their own. like the news media outlets the bias amazes me and saddens me as well, that americans are so biased, opinionated and downright ignorant of basic facts. obama has no practical experience in a leadership role and how could anyone look past 20 years of sitting in pastor wrights pews listening to a hateful message and claim ignorance, i didnt hear anything like that.... i dont want someone so out of touch with what they hear for 20 years to lead my country

      I believe factcheck.org does this in most cases. The degree of dishonesty here warrented the magazine picking it up. If you watched the Larry King Show, Republican operatives (now Dems) were invited to address the DNC party after each evening and came up with nothing this twisted to counter with.

      There was no spin article as the DNC didn't make up any lies about where they stand on the issues, unlike the RNC. Obama spoke from his heart and honestly wants to help the average American, while the Republican party believes "help the rich and hope the crumbs off the table will support the rest of us".!

      Perhaps their spin wasn't as obvious. Did you watch the Larry King programs after the DNC party? If you did you saw Republican attack dogs who did their best and could find nothing close to this stuff.
