By her own reasoning, and her defenders, John McCain has less "executive" experience than she does. He had some over 40 years ago and failed miserably.

Don't you people know any white person has more experience than any highly educated Black person?

A community organizer, can anyone tell me or show me how His community is better off because of Obama? Did He help create more jobs there? Did he helpt get rid of gang violonce or help improve the schools there. A Senator can anyone point to one thing Obama has done to make this country better? Obama is just allot of talk with zero results.
GOP Executive Experience = Bush/Cheney/Monica Goodling/Alberto Gonzalez/Katrina Brownie
McCain didn't have enough of that so he went fishing to corrupt Alaska to get one - and got one
Enjoy "change"
If you've never lived in Chicago, or any big city, and have no clue as to what a community organizer does, than shut the hell up. I bet if Obama used to work in a homeless shelter or a soup kitchen you'd find fault in that too. The guy graduated the top of his class from Harvard, if you dont realie what kind of employment oportunities that brings than you are clueless; and he chose to try and improve the day to day lives of the poor in my city, so unless you can explain to me what you think a community organizer does and how its dishonorable, than your opinion is worth about a bucket of piss.
Right on! Obama was too busy writing his 2 memoirs to actually get anything accomplished. His single mother from Kansas raised him, yada, yada, yada. Every time I hear Obama speak I draw the same conclusion...his single mother accomplished more than he did!!!
It never ceases to amaze me that the Republicans spew twisted falsehoods and attacks, hoping that something will stick. Sarah Palin, not merely a featherweight but an etherweight, will not push McCain over the top. One can hardly compare her "experience" and erudition to Barack Obama's. His constitutional expertise v. PTA president (and in a community of 7,000, at that.)? A degree from Columbia and Harvard v. Boise State in broadcast communications. Two best selling books v. sportscaster. Regardless of Palin's "experience" as governor--in a state that has less population than my home town, I doubt completely Palin's judgment and acumen. Her greatest accomplishment may have been negotiating for a stop sign at the corner of 4th and Main in Wasilly....it's hardly the experience we need to turn the economy around and recapture our international reputation. Too bad we are facing global warming. If it were an impending ice age, Palin could simply snowmobile across the Bering Strait and go talk to Medeved and Putin---their keeping the samovar warm.
Oh my, experience. Seems so funny that the dems talk about it now, and were frightened of the issue before. The race is on, and I'd put Palin's experience against Obama's any day, honestly. I hope all working women are listening to this.
After last night, this already tired and self-undermining complaint of the Obamaites is as passe as can be. "Experience" is an elastic word that can mean anything. No one has the experience to run American foreign policy. Expertise is what you have experts for. Did Harry Truman have experience when the presidency fell on him like the sun, moon and stars? What Palin demonstrated last night was a cold steel temperament contained but energized by a winning exterior. Will, purpose and prudence. THAT'S the experience the job requires and what people want the holder of it to possess.
I've FINALLY come to realize, that Johnnie Alter has GOT TO BE related to somebody that owns the Mens Room periodical that he "writes" for. Either that, or they have an affirmative action policy for the retarded. Kinda like, thw Washington Post, and Eugene Robinson. So Johnnie Boy, thinks that Sarah Palin is "clearly unqualified to be President", yet he feels that Barry Messaround, the world renouned "community Organizer for the FAR LEFT, CONVICTED VOTER FRAUD ORGANIZATION, ACORN is the Man for all seasons. A former Mayor, and CURRENT GOVERNOR, has less EXECUTIVE experience, than a guy with 143 working days in the Senate? I guess that Johnnie is right on with Barry, when he states that HE has more experience because he's "been running his campaign for two years". I think we should start a DEATH CLOCK for this publication. If there isn't one already.
The fact that Democrats and their apologists are finding themselves needing to defend Obama's experience compared to Palin's speaks volumes. Let's keep in mind, too, that if Obama is elected it is 100% certain that we will have an inexperienced Chief Executive and Commander-in-Chief for the first year. If McCain is elected, there is only about a 3% chance, based on male mortality rates for his age, that we will have an inexperienced President Sarah Palin as his successor. I'll take that 3% risk over the 100% risk anytime.
The criticisms of this article don't address any of the points made by Alter. The point very simply is that Palin doesn't have much more experience than many of the hockey moms she used to hang out with. That's not a criticism of these mothers, it's just pointing out what should be apparent from her resume. Whatever you think of Obama he does have a longer history of interest and involvement in national issues. He also has been widely available to the media for several years. People have some idea of what his political philosophy and principles involve.
Why don't we ever hear about Obama's inexperience. The double standard should astound and anger any truly open minded voter.

More wishful thinking from the pro-Obama, left-leaning press. Good grief - do you people really think no one knows the agenda you're pursuing? Oh...that's right - I forgot. Everyone outside the hallowed halls of pressrooms, editorial boardrooms, etc., doesn't know anything, right?
The beauty of Palin's "inexperience," Mr. Alter, is that it's a two-way street (not one-way like you paint it). Regardless of all the hyperventiliating "she'll be one hearbeat away from the president's chair," the simple fact is that she's running for the No. 2 job. So, what is the abjectly unqualified Obama's excuse for shooting for No. 1?
Turn around your question to the coyly unidentified "senior McCain aide" and what do you have? Mr. Alter, "So what you're saying is that Sarah Palin is not ready to be vice-president on day one, but Barack Obama is ready to be president?"
Case closed.
my take on the impression made last night: at the end of a tough day in the life of Vice President Palin, Americans will again be able to afford a full tank of gas. Nancy Pelosi's tactics have been reduced to stealing pencils from the pencils cups of her opposition when they're not looking and Vladimir Putin is shielding his broken nose from the cameras. There are dishes in the sink and toys in the living room that need picking up, but Palin's children will make it to hockey practice and get dinner on time. I hate to break this to you, Jonathan, and please don't start weeping again, but that is an impression that will resonate with both female and male voters in mainstream America.
If Obama was white Alter would be trashing him instead of McCain/Palin. Alter is a Cancer growing on Democracy.
It is hard to believe that one could so misread the situation and still receive a paycheck for doing news analysis.
A little quiz for you? How many governors have been elected to the Presidency? Now, how many senators? There's a reason for that. Governors run a microcosm of the nation. Senators are, by contrast, deliberators. This is a very different skill set. Frankly, apart from John McCain's leadership of troops in the service, I would say that I prefer Governor Palin to him as well. Senators make great policy wonks and Department Secretaries not necessarily executives. Additionally, looking at both governors and presidents alike, if you look at their time in office, you will find, historically, that the majority of their key initiatives and accomplishments take place in the first 2 years of their terms. Look it up. Other than dealing with unforeseen issues and emergencies, this holds true.
I'm a Libertarian leaning independent, but hearing Governor Palin last night and seeing how so many in the media are attempting to tear her down, the more I'm feeling that there is some substance to this person. I like the idea of a citizen government (the way the founding fathers had intended) versus career politicians (McCain included). Whether it's Sarah Palin, Mark Sandford (of South Carolina) or even Al Franken of Minnesota (whose policies I don't always agree with) - I like that they have life before and after the political arena ... that they are there to get something done and get out again.
I was appalled when I saw Sarah Palin's speech last night and could only recall the audio tape that has been circulating about how she giggled on Alaskan radio when the interviewer referred to one of her political opponents (who was a cancer survivor) as a "bitch" and a "cancer". Initially interested in and sympathetic to Palin, I (like millions of women across the country) find her distateful and even somewhat immature in her aggressiveness. Another audio circulating today suggests that some stalwart Republicans like Peggy Noonan and Mike Murphy agree with me. I shall be voting for the Obama/Biden ticket and am glad I have changed my registration from Republican to Democrat. The divisiveness of the Republicans is something our country can ill afford at this period in time.
Alter you are are so in the tank for Obama it's almost pathetic. You bashed Clinton, and now you are bashing Palin. Any threat to Obama must be removed. It's just so ridiculous. The low expectations of you and other Obama-worshipping media hacks keeps making Palin look very good. I'm glad you think she'll only appear on Ellen - because when she eventually does the Sunday shows, she will rock your head off. The Dems -- my lifetime party -- have just lost an election that was theirs to lose. How: it all started when they hated on the Clintons. Blame yourself.....
I love the emerging meme, Obama has executive experience, look how well his campaign his run. So, according to Alter and company, just running for President, qualifies Obama to be President.
Barack Obama's inexperience is Barack Obama's problem. I'll take the war hero and the barracuda any day.....
