AGAINST RIGHTS FOR RAPE AND INCEST VICTIMS!!..... lively speech though.

    Jonathan,

We are still waiting for "Tough Minded" (read biased like Alter) reporters to ask Obama a few "tough" questions like --why would you associate your self with with a known America hating terrorist like Bill Ayers --or how about those quaint teachings of your preacher -- and the judgement related to sticking with his venom spewing for 20 + years -- or how about the illegal land deals Obama was part of as part of the Chicago Dem political machine -- Just sitting here waiting for some tough minded reporting big Jon -- Also love to know your source that indicate sthat Palin has not "studied Global or National problems" or is this just your assumption-- maybe because you want it to be so? or maybe because she's a woman (who doesn't share your political bent) Sarah Palin runs a State with and 11 Billion dollar budget and 24,000 employees -- the biggest thing Obama (self admittedly) has ever run is his self serving presidental campaign - This sterotypical, snide, elitist dribble is typical of the media bias that infects our polictical dialog -- if you really believe Obama's "smarts" and activism outweigh Palin's experience actually running a State bureaucracy --then you may be able to convince me that Obama would make a better Vice President than Palin -- problem is -- he's running for President and he list of "tangible accomplisments" (other than teaching Constitutional Law -- which of course has immediately propelled dozens of professors direcly into CEO of fortune 500 positions) can be counted on one hand -- Obama is a great speaker and may be a good executive some day -- this cheerleading article is an embarrasment to the already low expectations we have for you.

Still waiting? You fool! These questions are DEAD, they are primary baggage. Why don't you go back to national journal forums, you have nothing viable to day.

    wait for the debates...shes toast

As a long time Republican, Palin's speech did nothing for me. I did not get anything from it, and my party seems to be looking more like a bunch of country hicks, and less of conservatives with high moral values.

Sarah Palin isn't running for President. Obama is the least qualified Presidential candidate to be nominated by a major political party that I have seen in my lifetime. He has no executive experience and his time on the campaign trail does NOT count.

    • Posted By: American Dream @ 09/03/2008 11:52:03 PM

JUST SAY THAT YOU CANNOT SEE A BLACK MAN BE PRESIDENT BECAUSE HE HAS MORE EXPERIENCE THAN PALIN. MCCAIN SELECTION WAS A SHOCKER AND IT WAS ALL ABOUT HIMSELF AND IMAGE, AND HE DID NOT PUT COUNTRY FIRST. PALIN AND THE BRADY BUNCH WILL BE IN THE WHITE HOUSE AND INCREASE IN TEEN PREGNANCY WILL BE NORMAL. WHY IS PALIN PROMOTING TEEN PREGNANCY? PALIN IS KNOW ALLOWING THE BOYFRIEND TO COME ALONG AND THIS IS SICK.

Two years prior to saying, "thanks but no thanks" to the Bridge to Nowhere money, she was totally for the Bridge to Nowhere. Oh and by the way, that $250 million for the bridge that Alaska got in an earmark for the project they didn't follow through with, it didnt go back, ALASKA KEPT THE MONEY FOR THE BRIDGE!

Actually, the BS has been flowing downhill from Denver

  • Posted By: Smellferd @ 09/03/2008 11:48:47 PM

Palin actually said something in her speech... I am still trying to figure outy what Obama stands for. I've seen some papers on his site... but nothing from his mouth, particularly in unscripted situations.

    • Posted By: Nor-Cal for Obama @ 09/03/2008 11:51:45 PM

You obviously are not paying close attention. Troll the talking points often?

      Ridiculous.

  • Posted By: Nor-Cal for Obama @ 09/03/2008 11:50:38 PM

    GET THE FACTS STRAIT!

Senator Obama has sponsored or co-sponsored close to 600 bills in the 109th and 110th Congress. Senator Obama has sponsored or co-sponsored almost 20 bills that have become LAW since he joined the Senate in 2005. Senator Obama has also introduced amendments to over 50 bills, of which 16 were adopted by the Senate. A few Obama successes: (1) Lugar-Obama legislation that has helped decrease the threat of old nuclear, biological, and chemical weapon in the former Soviet Union; (2) the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act of 2006 which Obama co-authored and that led to www.USAspending.gov, which keeps Americans better informed on government spending. Obama was also responsible for The Dignified Treatment of Wounded Warriors Act, which passed in July of 2007 and addressed the pathetic and grotesque treatment received by Veterans under the Bush. Obama's bill was responsible for the largest increase in veterans benefits in the 77 year history of the VA.

And that doesn't include his 8 years in the Illinois State Senate from 1996-2004.

Yes, he worked as a community organizer from 1985-1988, a position which paid him only $13,000, but which has had a lasting impact on him, as evidenced by the comprehensive "bottom up" campaign he's running.

GOP will get bigger bounce in polls post national convention then Dems did thanks to Palin tonight.

Somebody is drinking the kool-aid. Was that arena even full? no minorities either. Typical Repub convention

Come on, Killing babies is the best you've got?

  • Posted By: JAWLee @ 09/03/2008 11:42:16 PM

Palin said that liberals look for a fight....just like you, mrzoid, and all those protesters who force their opinion on those attending the convention. Like those potesters that threw bleach on a 72 year old lady!!! You are shameful!!! Did you see any violent protesters at the DNC? No! Because conservatives RESPECT other's opinions. Unlike liberals who FORCE their selfish, so-called do-gooder actions on us. Respect other's opinions.....

Yeah I dont condone the acts of the Anarchist crew in Minn; but if you really want to go down this road, who shoots up abortion clinics? What was the party affiliation of the man who shot up the church down south a month ago? What was the party affiliation of the man who shot the chairman of the Arkansas DNC?

Even you insulted my opinion to prove the point that you respect others opinions. Are you serious?

    • Posted By: paul962 @ 09/03/2008 11:45:42 PM

To be respected you must first be respectable you butcherer for profit republican!

  • Posted By: scalphunter @ 09/03/2008 11:46:55 PM

Somebody call a plumber the convention center was clogged with BS tonight.

  • Posted By: impartial1 @ 09/03/2008 11:46:38 PM

Now doubt about it....Obama is a great speaker. As a former Governer of Colorado said....great speaker....vote Obama.....great president....vote McCain. I got more goosebumps from Palin's smash out of the ballpark then I did Obama's speech and Obama's speech was great. I cannot wait for the Biden - Palin debate. Get your popcorn folks. This gal is for real so far. Take family and experience out the the equation and I am betting she will still out debate Biden. Prediction-Dems will try to hit Palin with "Foreign Policy" very hard. That is all Biden has going for him. We will see. Another prediction-who cares about the polls but GOP will get bigger bounce in polls post national convention then Dems did thanks to Palin tonight.

This election is the lesser of evils. People on both sides agree that. Given the recent developments with Russia, Iran and China, Obama does not make me comfortable. I am not saying that Palin has enough experience to deal with the like of Putin, but she is not at the top of the ticket and could get there. Obama is going to be thrust into the fire and he is just not ready.

  • Posted By: thehappyamerican @ 09/03/2008 11:45:04 PM

Obama and Biden better circle the wagons and drag in the extremist lefties and radical liberals on in with them!
Palins' better speaches are ahead, in the future! And as Vice President.
All the extrem left has is the Americans Suck First campaign.

  • Posted By: JAWLee @ 09/03/2008 11:45:02 PM

I love how liberals fight for women's rights and then when there is a strong woman who does great things and works hard but doesn't have the same 'values'...they want to turn back the clock, shove her back in the house, put slippers on her and tell her to get to her housework. Love it.

    • Posted By: paul962 @ 09/03/2008 11:44:32 PM

I challenge you to find three republicans in the Alaska state house that would agree with you.

  • Posted By: DCBOOMER @ 09/03/2008 11:44:27 PM

I am very, very weary of the content free Republican zone. I was NOT impressed with Palin tonight. All I heard were attacks, slander, lies, sarcism, nasty sniping, and more misinformation!!! Who needs a "pit bull" ?! Other than what I have researched about her, I would not know WHO she is. I want to hear FROM HER where she stands on the issues!! She is no Hilary Clinton, no Amelia Earhart, no Annie Oakley, no ???reformer???. She is an opportunist. Other than being a pretty 'character' and delivering a good presentation she clearly is not a good Vice President Candidate . Sarah Palin is exactly what America, and women as a class, do not need: Another ill-equipped, unqualified public servant who wants to negate everything American women have fought for all these years. More chilling are her extremist views. To me, by defining herself as Pentecostal, Sarah Palin has defined herself as a religious extremist. In my view, Pentecostals are to Christianity what Islamists are to Islam. Regardless of political persuasion, I prefer not to see extremists in positions of power.
