A few differences between the real Sarah Palin and the fake Palins in photos and in the phony blogs. . . the real Sarah Palin is actually pretty, she's intelligent, and she's winning the hearts of mainstream America. Keep up the attacks on Sarah. . . it's like you're drilling more holes in Obama's lifeboat.

    ABOUT SARAH PALIN:

    http://webpages.charter.net/suasponte/

If you really want to know Sarah Palin's history (in detail) this is a "must read". It was written by Anne Kilkenny, a resident of Wasilla, Alaska.

Shrieky Sarah is paling repeat paling from day one ......... on her debut in ohio she pleaded with hillary supporters to support her only for one reason ..........she was a bicycle with a punctured front .......that has been punctured five times so far by Todd the Dude .. Hell if that is the only qualification one need to lead this impressionable country then pray elect me and my wife

To say that this is anything other than third rate trash yellow journailism would be paying it a copliment that it is not worthy of. But, it appears in an effort to keep it's circulation up ,newsweek has to keep pace with the rest of its genre. The lunatic fringe is given time in what use to be serious journalism which only reinforces the truth to what low standards are now acceptable norms..

OK folks, let's get this right! By taking the moral high ground for change we can defend our cause forever. By seeking change, no change can be made, for fear of establishing something other than change. If you allow that you are open minded to change you will be practicing to be a great American. This tactic of change has been working since the sixties. Whole generations of liberals have championed change. They get it! The right does not! Diversity is the personification of change. That's why we seek people of color where there was none before. Because it's a change. We must change American values since if we don't we won't be seeking change. Change is what we fexercise our first amendment right for. It was made for change. Now if I told you that I was a speech writer for Obama you might think I was really just an impostor, albeit a good one. But that is just the change we want is it not? God bless the parodists! Long live the parodists! Well, maybe we should change that?

If you think that's bad, wait until Tina Fey and the people at SNL parody her. Regardless, Palin is a strong woman that can handle Leno and Letterman making fun of her hair. McCain/Palin 08'!

    REPEAT THE FOLLOWING:

If you're a minority and you're selected for a job over more qualified candidates you're a "token hire." If you're a conservative and you're selected for a job over more qualified candidates you're a "game changer."

If you live in an Urban area and you get a girl pregnant you're a "baby daddy." If you're the same in Alaska you're a "teen father." (Actually, according to your own MySpace page you're an F'n redneck that don't want any kids, but that's too long a phrase for the evil liberal media to take out of context and flog morning noon and night).

Black teen pregnancies? A "crisis" in black America . White teen pregnancies? A "blessed event."

If you grow up in Hawaii you're "exotic." Grow up in Alaska eating mooseburgers, you're the quintessential "American story."

Similarly, if you name you kid Barack you're "unpatriotic." Name your kid Track, you're "colorful."

If you're a Democrat and you make a VP pick without fully vetting the individual you're "reckless." A Republican who doesn't fully vet is a "maverick."

If you say that for the "first time in my adult lifetime I'm really proud of my country" it makes you "unfit" to be First Lady. If you are a registered member of a fringe political group that advocates secession that makes you "First Dude."

A DUI from twenty years ago is "old news." A speech given without proper citation from twenty years ago is "relevant information."

And, finally, if you're a man and you decide to run for office despite your wife's reoccurrence of cancer you're a "questionable spouse." If you're a woman and you decide to run for office despite having five kids including a newborn... Well, we don't know what that is 'cause THAT'S NOT A FAIR QUESTION TO ASK.

    • Posted By: yisitsohardtoregister @ 09/04/2008 9:26:49 PM

dlosh - I'm not sure what you are trying to say. black teen pregnancies a crisis and white teen pregnancies a blessed event? baby daddy versus teen father? Are you saying these are now the rules because of one situation? It's a crisis when many other factors are involved - surely you understand it's not a single faceted problem. When there are MANY teen pregnancies to the point that documentaries are made regarding a certain segment - and called a crisis, then we worry. Watch the documentary Babyland about Memphis teen pregnancies - producers are liberals. This is a personal belief that it is a blessing, not a media generated story. I work with a school system that is predominantly black, and the teen parents and grandparents see the births as blessings, too. Just like Palin.

Ask Ted Kennedy about drinking and driving - is that old news? It seems to be. High school students can't even turn in papers without teachers checking them online for plagiarism.

The issue of full vetting has everything to do with the media not having their opportunity with vetting before finding out about Palin. Would we even know about this if the media wasn't whining about it?

Maybe if Obama wins, he can make sure a law is passed that women with a certain number of children - or with a special needs child is not allowed to work. Will that make everyone happy? At least we all now know that having a father in your life is not important. The fathers can campaign, serve in office, etc. and the it has no impact on children - only if the mothers work is it a problem. SinceI work with special needs children, I'll make sure to counsel the parents - oops, I mean mothers to quit working. I'm sure those parents are already getting the message from the no-it-alls that they are terrible parents - as well as all the working mothers of 5 children or more.

John Edwards was not a "questionable spouse." He was an adulterer.

Mr. Palin, not the governor, was a member of the "fringe political group" and his degree of participation was minimal.

The name "Barack" is not "unpatriot". Neglecting to wear the American flag on his lapel was considered questionable until he was shamed into. It is still questionable. That's the man, not the name.

"Track" happens to me a member of the U.S. Army on his way to Iraq!

Anybody can question the degree of responsiblity a woman should subject herself too under any circumstances. Her children should never be subjected to scrutiny and ridicule because of her choice.

Mother's are in combat. They chose the military and are doing their duty as such. Nobody ever asks a man if he can do his job based on the number of children he has sired.

      Keep it in perspective.

Palin Fits right in and we can see the status quo remaining if McCain/Palin should actually find their way to the white house.

As mayor of Wasilla she gave tax cuts that benefited corporate property owners.

Took over as mayor a town of 5,000 at the time that had zero debt and left it with 22 million in debt.

The town needed a sewage plant so Palin built a sports complex that is a money hole that is still in legal limbo since it was built on land the city did not have title too. She built roads to the complex to 20th century standards...still no sewage plant.

Seems firing people was a preferred pastime, she tried to get the city Librarian fired for refusing to remove books Palin found objectionable, Get ready for censorship if she's elected.

I could go on but whats the point, just more of the Republican agenda and more.

But in defense of Palin she is right about one thing, she is a pit bull with lipstick, Very protective of those close to her but a danger to everyone else.

All you haters are sad, sad people...frankly it was an awesome speech... she makes Obama look like a fool, let alone Biden. You invidious distrubed souls better start looking for therapy when McCain/Palin wins.

    • Posted By: TurnTexasBlue @ 09/04/2008 1:25:21 AM

First off, we're not haters ... we're pragmatists. Secondly, Palin's speech delivery was excellent, but I still did not hear anything about the economy, the war, the unemployment problems, taxes, eliminating our dependence on oil, improving foreign relations, reducing our carbon footprint, education ... Sen. McCain has a lot to cover in his speech tonight if he wants to lay out a minimal platform for we 'distrubed' souls. By the way, if McCain/Palin succeed in winning, I won't need a therapist... I won't hate ... I'll just need to complete my application for citizenship elsewhere.

That's b'ce the Palin/McCain ticket wants to turn this election away from the issues and turn it into a personality/beauty contest. You don't get sustance from the GOP, just noise about non-sense about hockey moms. Umemployeement is at 5.7%, highest since 9/11. Yet, all you'll get tonight is how much McBush loves this country and how he's a maverick. As the old saying goes, John McCain hates EarMarks, unless it's for his state. Hypocrite!

And that, I believe, is exactly what he is going to do. He is, after all, going to be president. It shoudl fall to him to lay down his policies. The liberals keep saying they haven't heard anything about policies, and middle class, blah blah blah. I guess they didn't listen to Gov. Palin's speech last night. She might not have used the words "middle class" directly, but those of us who are middle class heard her speak to us and about us.

drill oil in Alaska might wean us from 'Foreign Oil Dependence' but it is still 'Oil Dependence' just not from foreign countries. Palin said it will create 'job opportunity' but more likely it will create Richer Oil Companies as it already has. If her daughter got pregnancy is a 'Family Matter' people should respect and leave it alone, then why 'Aborion Right' becomes a government regulation? Why is it not a family matter and people should leave it to women to decide for themselves? If being a POW is such a big deal and can hold that as a ticket to presidency to the White House, then why John Kerry's status as a POW been downgraded as nothing more than a person went to war??? Yes, it is wonderful that Palin's daughter got pregnant, unmarried, and she will get all the support from her rich family. How many teenage girls out there have this luxury when the same thing happened to them? How are they afford to see a doctor when they do not have education, no job to afford insurance, and the boyfriend is out of sight, how do they support their own life and feed the baby? Abortion is a choice for every woman in this country, that's call democracy. Having it legalized does not make a woman abort her baby, and not having it legalized can not stop a woman to do what she needs and must do when that situation is encountered. Do you think a regular family can afford 5 kids with one with a down syndrom and still live a decent life??? How would the rich understand what poor go thru in their daily life? What a pity, and not everyone can become a governor with only a high school diploma and then have 5 kids and still live a good life. Republicans make it look and sound like nobody is worrying about money issues and every body has a good job and living in a good house and drive a good car. That's called fantasy, or shall we say illusion???

    • Posted By: FlrLdy @ 09/04/2008 6:29:56 PM

then why John Kerry's status as a POW been downgraded as nothing more than a person went to war???

John Kerry was NEVER a POW. He won a purple heart for taking schrapnel in the butt. Which he later threw away on the steps of the Capitol Building (his medal not his butt).

Pregnancy is preventable. The CHOICE should be whether to use birth control or not, not whether to commit murder or not.

JOHN KERRY WAS NEVER A POW!

      • Posted By: s_sabs7 @ 09/04/2008 4:02:27 PM

But McCain doesn't support forcing insurance companies to cover the cost of birth control. Some people just can't afford the monthly costs of birth control pills. Not that it would matter anyway since these right wing conservatives feel that birth control is wrong too. What's next, outlawing birth control? Haven't we already learned that the women who want abortions will have them regardless of whether or not they are legal? Shouldn't we focus on education and preventing these unwanted pregnancies first? I personally do not like abortions; I would NEVER have one, but I feel that there are some cases where an abortion may be necessary. Pregnancies are not always preventable!

Palin is the best thing that could happen to this country. She is smart, articulate and unafraid of changing the status quo. I have never seen so much negativity come out of the mouths of people who haven't even bothered to check thier facts before slandering her. She has more experience than Obama/Biden combined.

    • Posted By: raddave @ 09/04/2008 6:03:24 PM

unafraid of changing the status quo? She advocates continuing the failed policies of the current administration, just like John McCain. If she has more experience than Obama and Biden combined, then she has more experience than John McCain as well.

  • Posted By: katiec @ 09/04/2008 11:52:29 AM

How anyone could even consider voting for the Mccain/Palin ticket is beyond me,
Look what the pubs, and they are strong pubs, have done to our country these
last eight years with their policies, stances.
And, for Mccain to put this unqualified, inexperienced hocky mom into nomination
for the second most important position in our country, shows, once again how
incompetent, fully out of touch the man is.
