Before you brag about your fortunate even when the unemployment rate is at 5.7% or 17.1 milllions unemployed, maybe you should reflect how the past year years have been a diaster for America. I beg to differ....Working at Walmart IS enough to support your family of four IF you don't eat steak and lobster and IF you don't drive a brand new car, and IF you DO want those things, then GO GET A DIFFERENT JOB OR A SECOND JOB! This is America and you can work as hard and have as much as you WANT! If you CAN"T afford a family of four, then WHY DID YOU HAVE FOUR KIDS???? I see job wanted ads in the paper everyday. There ARE jobs in this country, you just have to want to WORK!

Too funny that YouTube is already going overtime on her. However, what i saw last night was not funny, just disturbing. She struck me as an arrogant, cocky and self-righteous Christian Fundamentalist, something the kooks and crooks crowd that rules the Republican party for the last 8 years frequently has put on display. I look forward to the time when she will have to defend her positions on the accumulating debt and death of the last 8 years, being anti-choice, anti-contraception (something that apparently might have helped her 17 yr. old daughter rather than preaching "abstinence") and anti-equal pay for equal work between men and women. I relish the prospect of voters getting to know her position in these important areas rather than her being the PTA president of Wasilla City.

Last night all I heard was let's drill and drill which will get us a few more years worth of oil and then what? I heard all about how McCain wants to put a nuclear reactor in my back yard. I heard about more tax cuts when we are spending 12million a day in Iraq and our national debt is climbing at an alarming rate. I heard nothing about helping the middle class (you know those of us making less than 5 million per year). I heard nothing about how to grow the ecconomy, I heard nothing about turning around global warming. I heard absolutely no new or fresh ideas.
It's hillarious to hear the republicans spin Palin as fresh and young. I guess when your canidate just turned 72 years old you get desperate and look for any young republican women even if she is a nobody from the backwoods of Alaska with a mullet.
That was the oldest and whitest audience I have ever seen last night. We all know that the republican party is not exactly the party of inclusion though didn't we? I was also at the Excel Energy Center early this year for a Springsteen concert and I have to say that it is a pretty small venue.
Sarah Palin could read very well from a teleprompter which is what I would have expected from a former sportscaster. However she clearly stands for everything I don't. Prolife, anti-enviroment, tax cuts for the wealthy, pro nuclear energy; who wants a nuclear reactor in their back yard? We do not need another republican looking out for the wealthy and the special interests.-

The reason you didn't hear anything about growing the economy and the is because those speeches are slated for another night of the convention. You really should pay attention to the details. People like you scare the bejeebers out of me because you actually have a voice and not a brain. I think the noise at the Springsteen concert battered your senses a bit too much. She spoke of drilling for American oil as a means of significantly reducing our dependance on foreign oil while AT THE SAME TIME implementing new emerging energy technologies like WIND SOLAR AND NUCLEAR. I believe Governor Palin is a breath of fresh air! I think people that try to make fun of her and her family is jealous or just stupid. I listened to her speech and felt like, for the first time in my adult life, excitement! It filled the air. And everyone loves her, except the Democrats of courses. I am so excited that we have a woman, and a smart one too, with plenty of experience, going to the White House. People should leave her family alone. Even Obama said 'family is off limits! Amen to that.

That's who inspires you? Wow, you truly are a Republican. Listen, just because this girl has a vagina doesn't mean a thing. She's just another attack dog for the tired old Republican party. And I find it so funny that she mocks community organizers. Doesn't she know they're the ones helping out the disadvangtaged so her less than caring Republican party doesn't have to. Seeing and hearing her speech and looking at her redneck family...husband who's a member of AIP (look it up, you'll get flashbacks of Rev. Wright), a knocked up 17 year old daughter and her statutory rapist, gum chewing soon to be son-in-law...makes me cringe to think this will be our second family. So if being divisive and mean is the kind of politician you're looking for, then I think you've found her. And this is the future of the Republican party...God help us!

There is a smell of backfire about it all. To begin with,neither candidate can win the election without the support of the angry and bitter snowmobiler or hunter. This is a ''known ''quality. There are not enought votes in liberal bastions such as the Chicagos,New Yorks,Bostons,and San Franciscos to lift Obama over the top. Equally,McCain will have to turn to these other non-megacity states in order to cobble together an electoral pile. The ''undecideds'' come into firm play here as do gun-owning Democrats,surly Paulites,and other third party voters who ,if they live in a rural setting and must use such contrivences to get around[while being poked fun at by comedians from sunny LA],or own guns,begin to imprint ''elitist''labels and transfer these to the opposite partys candidate.
