    ABOUT SARAH PALIN:

    http://webpages.charter.net/suasponte/

If you really want to know Sarah Palin's history (in detail) this is a "must read". It was written by Anne Kilkenny, a resident of Wasilla, Alaska.

  • Posted By: tucanofulano @ 09/05/2008 9:15:27 PM

McCain/Palin''s high approval percentage is more than double GW Bush''s approval rating. Therefore McCain/Palin are ready now, and Bush/Cheney ought to resign today to let McCain/Palin finish the Bush/Cheney second term as a running start to their own two elected terms (the max). All AMERICANS gain this way.

Ever heard about the story - the dog in the manger? Hillary lost my respect when she failed to stand up to the DNC bullies and demand the right to present her case at the convention. No one got to finish line and so she earned that right (+35 years service and all). Now that she forfeited that right she is out there to stop another female from eclipsing her in the political realm? What is wrong with Sarah Palin? I have an Ivy League education - BSc, MSc, and MBA. And yet Sarah with what little she has have achieved a whole lot more than I have for her community. It is not what fancy degree you have is what you do with it. And all the folks who are crying her down are simply green with envy and resentment. I used to be for Hillary but now I am for Palin. My support of Hillary was limited but for Palin I will be actively engaged. It is time we allow real "blue" collar folks to actively engage and tell us exactly where they are hurting. As opposed to having pretenders like Biden (hanging on to imagined Scranton roots) and Obama giving empty speeches. Anyone for a class war? Then continue to cry down Palin. There are more folks of her economic standing as opposed to the folks like Obama who is the master of empty rhetoric. Oh ye of little faith, recall history had its Joan of Arc so I am confident Sarah Palin can get the job done.

Mrs. Palin is full of insults and didn't tell us what she could do for this country if elected vice president, but put on lipstick and act like a pitbull. She's a bunch of hot air-long winded. Who has teenage daughter issues! Sit down Mrs. Palin and yes I am a woman. Like a famous quota from the Color Purple ...Sarah Palin...Sarah Palin who? Who gives a ....! Obama '08.

    • Posted By: patriot81 @ 09/05/2008 6:05:05 PM

new polls show that Sarah Palin's approval ratings are actually higher than Obama... and she's just our VP candidate. Thank goodness the majority of Americans are in reality.

      McCain/Palin 2008!

Palin's RNC speech = Snark Fest, NO substance, NO discussion of the issues. She's shallow, arrogant, rude, and aggressive. She thinks being a leader is about tearing down your rivals. She exagerates her own actions while demeaning the more generous actions of others. If there's a low road, she will take it. If she can pander, she will do it. She's part of fringe "church," whose pastor preached that critics of President Bush will be banished to hell, questioned whether people who voted for Sen. John Kerry in 2004 would be accepted into heaven, and charged that the 9/11 terrorist attacks and war in Iraq were part of a war "contending for your faith." And Palin herself painted the current war in Iraq as a messianic affair in which the United States could act out the will of the Lord. "Also, [pray] that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God." This is crazy talk! Speaking of crazy, (and being Anti-American), Palin was also part of the Alaskan Independence party who wanted to SECEDE from this great country! How convenient that she now wants to run this country she hates so much! She doesn't deserve the honor! Look deep into this VP candidate's past, she is wrong for the Republican Party and wrong for America!

Exactly, what are Republican family values?

      Children born out of wedlock?

      Drinking and driving?

      Sex without using protection?

Rev. Ted Haggard preaching about the immorality of getting a good blow job?

Rep. Mark Foley giving a one-on-one orientation to the male pages about how a bill becomes a law?

Rep. Vito Fossella banging his mistress?

Sen. David Vitner banging a hooker?

Sen. Larry Craig having a relaxing discussion about gay marriage in a men's bathroom stall?

Conservative activist, Jeff Gannon, asking questions of Bush's press secretary during the day, then wacking the weenie on a gay website at night?

And they claim they are the party of family values???

      • Posted By: patriot81 @ 09/05/2008 6:00:06 PM

Tread carefully on this one... your precious leader was conceived out of wedlock. But that's not the point. Unfortunately values can be scare with both parties... remember a guy by the name of Bill Clinton?

If McCain/Palin wins this election, I will have to get a v-chip for my TV so it will skip over those two scumbags. I would be glad to pay $10,000 to get a spot in the cheep seats to watch Palin boiled in oil.

No matter how much lipstick you put on sarah palin, a redneck she will remain. She must know how to throw a punch, for she must have had plenty practice fending off her drunken husband and slutty teens....

If she wants to play hardball, she should be dealt with in the same manner, I am so frustrated of everyone treating her with kids' gloves. She obviously has her husband's balls in her undies, so Barrack should deal with her accordingly; man to man.

    • Posted By: patriot81 @ 09/04/2008 7:13:02 PM

So you're saying I should support a former coke-head in Obama? That makes sense. . . . you liberals are so smart.

      • Posted By: gigglinggirl @ 09/04/2008 8:07:57 PM

So what about who smokes marijuana or did coke...anyone who went to college in the 70s and says they didn't smoke marijuana, is either lying; a bookworm; a wallflower; or denying it so their folks (or kids!) won't know! Vote for who you think makes the most sense...forget about all these ridiculous stuff. Obama obviously isn't a former cokehead...how could he have become President of Harvard Law Review? Sarah Palin lives in Alaska for crying out loud...so what if she's smoked grass? Figure out who inspires you more, and vote for them.

        • Posted By: patriot81 @ 09/05/2008 5:53:06 PM

geesh you must be really out of reality if you are saying Obama never was a coke-head... he even admitted to it at the beginning of his campaigning. Maybe you should take 10 minutes and figure out who your "appointed savior" really is

I sure did. There was no way I was going to cast my vote for a far left nominee in Kerry. Fortunately Kerry did not win, however I almost wish he did, becuase then you would have seen him fail and screw up our country even more.

    Barack Obama:

A graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he served as president of the Harvard Law Review, Obama worked as a community organizer and practiced as a civil rights attorney before serving in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004. He taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004. Following an unsuccessful bid for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2000, he announced his campaign for the U.S. Senate in January 2003. After a primary victory in March 2004, Obama delivered the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in July 2004. He was elected to the Senate in November 2004 with 70% of the vote.

As a member of the Democratic minority in the 109th Congress, he helped create legislation to control conventional weapons and to promote greater public accountability in the use of federal funds. He also made official trips to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. During the 110th Congress, he helped create legislation regarding lobbying and electoral fraud, climate change, nuclear terrorism, and care for returned U.S. military personnel. After announcing his presidential campaign in February 2007, Obama emphasized withdrawing American troops from Iraq, energy independence, decreasing the influence of lobbyists, and promoting universal health care as top national priorities.

  • Posted By: Yes! We ALL Can @ 09/05/2008 12:58:40 AM

This race is not about Sarah Palin! Who cares...this race is about Mccain and Obama. This race is about THE ISSUES!! Don't lose sight of the issues and what is at stake. Sarah Palin is a DISTRACTION. We should only be talking about Sarah Palin as it pertains to Joe Biden and the issues - Sara is a very extremist person who would help McCain enact extremist policies and continue Bush's policies!

Sara believes not in evolution - but in creationism! Sara also believes no choice for women regardless of rape or incest! Sara also wants to ban library books promoting diversity and culture in America. She also believes THE EXACT OPPOSITE of what Hillary Clinton stands for and policies that Hillary fights for. Palin is no Hilllary Clinton.

The only thing we as proud Americans should be concerend about are the big issues - let's keep the focus on that and not make this election into a soap opera? What is John McCain selling you right now - he is selling you his POW experience and not change to Washington!! He's been there 26 years and has never thought to change it all this time!! Don't you think that's a little odd?!! McCain and Bush are the same!!

    Obama - Biden 08 and 12

    • Posted By: Donna1000 @ 09/05/2008 2:24:16 PM

Sorry, but this race is about Sarah Palin. It's about the future of American politics and what we want in our next generation of leaders. Sarah Palin is an optimistic, action-oriented leader who delivers for her constituents. Barack Obama is a basketball player who writes books about himself, wags his finger at the American people for their shortcomings, and delivers for no one but himself.

Well, I guess that would be over 80% of the people in Wasilla and over 80% of the people in Alaska. It works for me.

Kim Murphy???s ???Palin Gives and Saves amid Big Alaska Surplus???which appeared in the Los Angeles Times (September 5) Tells it all. Each year Palin gives every Alaskan resident $2,000 to $ 2,500 a year from oil royalties. In addition, Palin gave out a $ 1,200 energy rebate.

Palin really reminds me of presidential candidate George McGovern who pledged to give every American a guaranteed minimum income. Or Palin represents modern version of the welfare queen with the Cadiallac who popped off another child every one or two years to get more welfare money. Allthough Alaska has a massive surplus, Palin spent much of her time as mayor and governor lobbying for government handouts, stopping this practice only recently when she got the VP nomination.

Perhaps the people of Alaska need help to make ends meet. I can buy that, but as a recently retired teacher who spent a life time teaching in inner city schools, the residents of south Los Angeles need help too. And, Palin looks at the urban poor with contempt and disgust. The urban poor, the black and the brown, can just pull themselves up by their own boot staps, even if they can???t afford a pair of shoes, let alone boots.

And who???s paying for Alaska???s handouts?

We are - namely everyone in the lower 49.

Every time we fill our gas tank, some of the price we pay goes to the slick Exxon advertisements we see on CNN. Millions of dollars go to oil lobbyists. And if fact, though McCain claims he???s for the people, that didn???t stop him from accepting $ 1,000,000 in campaign contributions from oil companies last June - and that???s only the start.

No wonder Palin hates Obama. . Obama wants to free the United States from the tyranny of oil He pledges to decarbonize our economy within 10 years. If oil companies shut down, what will happen to the Republican party. What will happen to the oil company dividends Alaskans get.

The Los Angeles Times article provs once again that we need a change we can believe in. Not the imaginary 10% change that McCain promises - but a bold stroke for renewable energy that is the cornerstone of Obama???s energy policies.

Yes, we do have sacred beliefs and rites that set us apart from other religions, but those beliefs certainly don???t infringe upon the rights of others. Sarah Palin, needs to a Better Speech Writer and she had better be able to Match her own Political Plight, before she considers herself a Match for Obama, Its John Mccain that CANNOT MATCH OBAMA...

Part of John McCain's whole effort to remaverick himself despite being Mister Bush's 90% man is to attach himself firmly to his running mate's supposed maverickness. Thus, whether it's stances on earmarks, or reversals on bridges to nowhere, or fudged tales of executive derring-do, they ought to be disembedded from the national consciousness before they become unshakable truths.

[Update]: While Palin only fudged the truth by omission, John McCain is working heartily on embedding a falsehood derived from that omission: "You know what I enjoyed the most? She took the luxury jet that was acquired by her predecessor and sold it on eBay -- made a profit," he said, introducing Palin.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Yes, your new fresh face, that down home Average Hockey MomTM turns out just to be twice the Mayberry and every bit the Machiavelli:

Aides to Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin improperly obtained her former brother-in-law's state police personnel files and cited information from those records to raise complaints about the officer, the head of Alaska's state police union said Thursday.

"It's apparent to us that the governor or someone on her staff had direct access to his personnel file, as well as his workers' comp file, and those are protected," said John Cyr, executive director of the Alaska Public Safety Employees Association.

Sarah Palin, needs to a Better Speech Writer and she had better be able to Match her own Political Plight, before she considers herself a Match for Obama. its John Mccain that CANNOT MATCH OBAMA...

Palin LIED About Selling the Governor's Plane on EBay

After going unsold for months, the jet was put into the hands of Turbo North Aviation, an Anchorage aircraft broker, which put an asking price of $2.45 million on the nearly $2.7 million jet. It quickly sold to Alaska businessman Larry Reynolds for $2.1 million ($31,000 of which went to Turbo Aviation). Today the Westwind II jet spends its days ushering wealthy hunters around Alaska and Russia.

Palin's statement implied the plane was sold through the online auction site revered for empowering millions of small entrepreneurs, and Palin's spokeswoman insisted Thursday that the transaction occurred. But the plane failed to sell on eBay. ...

Also, while Palin characterized the plane as an extravagance of former Gov. Frank Murkowski, who arranged for its purchase in November 2005......

THE PLANE WAS IN HEAVY USE..... TRANSPORTING ALASKAN CONVICTS.

BIG NOTE: Alaska does not have adequate prison capacity and contracts for space with a private facility near Phoenix. On Thursday, 24 percent of the 4,546 Alaskans in jail or in prison were serving their time at Arizona's Red Rock Correctional Center, said a spokesman for the Alaska Department of Corrections.

THAT NUMBER OF ALASKAN PRISONERS IS ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ALASKAN NATIONAL GAURD !!!

OVERALL BASED ON THE ALASKAN POPULUS, THAT OVER 4,000 PRISONERS FROM ALASKA IS VERY, VERY HIGH !!!

Big Note: When the state first began using the plane in November 2005, prisoner transport accounted for 58 % of the jet's use, and Murkowski's office used it 23 percent of the time. Over time, Murkowski's usage increased. But the eBay jet does matter.

Awww, a big bad tough woman is gonna take all your spotlight, Obama...of course he's scared. He better be, too. If she were a man, Obama wouldn't be so scared. He would expect the sarcasm and smart remarks she made...but no, because she's a woman, she's stirring things up. GOOD. It's about time. She's not scared of the big-bad Washington or Obama's pretend-to-be-better attitude where he acts like he's about the comments and doesn't criticize anyone. Obama SHOULD be scared and watch his back. McCain and Palin may be made fun of, and perhaps they have more to prove, but good thing they can.

      Who's scared here?

I think the right phrase is "you wish". Every time something good happens for a lot of conservatives, I hear all this "you scared? you scared?" I used to hear the same thing from the dropout gang members in my old neighborhood...

There's all this bluff and bluster from many on the right these days about people on the left being "sissies" or "scared" or whatever. There's also no evidence for any of it.

I hate to borrow a phrase from the country here, but ma'am - thunder's just noise. The lightning does the work. So bring it or bring your butt back home.
