    God help us if somehow John McCain is elected and Sarah Palin is VP. not that McCain is a bad person, but Sarah Pail would be a heartbeat away from the highest office.
    I read a letter from a fellow Alaskan that knows her. Everyone should read it before they think of voting for the Mccain/palin ticket.

      Everyone should think about voting for Obama....... He is not proud of this country. He does not believe in the flag, or the national anthem and does not believe in the bible. Be careful what you wish for..... . changes could be for the worse.

        Give me a vet who loves his country and puts it's interests first and has had 2+ decades to know the internals of US Government over a neophyte with socialist leanings ANYDAY!
        McCain is NOT business-as-usual! He is all about reform, personal liberty, limited government, national security, energy exploration, etc. Oil prices are killing our economy 500% more than Bush's policies.

    Sarah a celeb? McCain was smart to pick Palin. He knew that she was new. He knew that the American people were going to want to know more about her. Everyone started digging and discovered her life is filled with scandal. This is what makes news headlines. This is what people want to see. Obama was great because he brought a positive energy. Energy that was needed in these dark times. I really find Palin to be interesting because of her extremist views. The bad part is that a good part of the American people are agreeing with her. I am a Republican, working mother, and a Christian but I do not agree with her at all. For the first time I am voting for a Democrat. I think it's important that women have the right to chose, I would like to see the war end, and so on. I don't share the view (direct quote from Palin) "Iraq War 'God's Will."

      Sophia, you are an intelligent person. You think for yourself. You don't vote Republican simply because you are a member of that party....you vote for the best candidate at the time. However, many Republicans will not cross party lines no matter what. Even more frightening, like you said, is that many Americans agree with her heavy-handed, intolerant views.

More troops will die...sure, but at least they will be giving their lives to protect those of us here at home.     Obama is a dedicated Christian, does believe in the Bible, loves his country and his proud of it and pledges his allegiance to the flag and covers his heart during the national anthem. This plain truth can be discovered by one minute of Internet research. Find out the truth for yourself instead of believing inaccurate, libelous e-mails.
    Do your homework and find out the truth before perpetuating untruths. It is neither Christian nor American to smear people. It's also ignorant.

      Everyone is so closed minded about this man, that they cannot see beyond his purpose. I came from another country and I am more patriotic than he is. I am more proud of this country than he is... and I wasn't born here. He reminds me of Castro, a very elocuent speaker that can move the people . Everyone believed he was great because the country was in bad shape as US is now. At the end it was worse for everyone. I just don't want that to happen here. I think this is the best country in the world and I would hate to see it going down more than it is now.
      I just ask ... what changes exactly does Obama want? Make friends with dictators and terrorists? Raising taxes ?? I don't want my hard earned retirement money to be taxed to be given to those who want to live off the government, because he cannot stand people that can make a name for themselves or have more money. Don't get me wrong, I am a poor hard working person. I just see Obama taking from the rich, who one way or another, have money to give it to the "less fortunate" . That is socialism, if not comunism. At the end no one will have anything. PLease open your eyes !!! Mine are open since I have experienced this before.

        Please do your research before you make accusations. Obama only plans to raise taxes for the top 1% of the country. If you belong in that group then I could understand your not wanting to vote for him. He doesn't want to "make friends" with anybody. He wants to try to diplomatically resolve issues before sending our troops into harms way. In my opinion, republicans are hypocrites. They preach pro-life, but they are ready and willing to send our troops to take lives and have their lives taken. If we elect John McCain, he won't use diplomacy. Instead, he'll "Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" and spread our troops even thinner.

          Exactly. He doesn't want to make friends, but he doesn't want to lose the allies we DO have. Bush's bomb 'em all tactics have caused America to suffer a large loss in trust. Even the British, traditionally our most stalwart allies, have begun to turn on us. I can't say I blame them. We invaded a country after the UN said in no uncertain terms they did not see just cause in doing so. If 1whoknows is truly a poor, hardworking person, s/he would be crazy to vote for McCain. McCain wants to give to rich, corporate greed. Obama wants to give to the people.

    now it may be Obama sought that image for himself and has screwed up (not visiting wounded military people ), but Palin is a good speaker and solid conservitive POLITICIAN!

    And what is refreshing is when she speaks she doesn't bother us with the Liberal/left wing garbage in which americans suck first.
    That is a refreshing change from Hillary, Pelosi, Feinstein and a host of media hacks we've seen for years.
    Obama is still THE ROCK STAR! But nothing else.

    What kind of person wants to be President of America in the crazy world in which we live?

    Let's stop making a mockery out of American politics. If Palin, like Obama, McCain and Biden, can convince the American people that she is ready to be VP, all well and good. But at this point, the attention she is getting is because people are still in shock, that McCain would even consider her for the VP spot. She's got a lot to prove to Americans and perhaps, even to herself. I found it insulting to America when I saw that sign at the RNC that read "McCain & Superwoman". Are the Republicans really that desperate to think that they can win this election with such nonsense?

    As for governor experience, was not George Bush, Jr. a Governor? How about Jimmy Carter? Now, I think Carter was a much better president than was popularly believed and he has certainly proven himself a committed Christian, at least by the Bible definition of what a Christian should be. But my point is, that both were governors before the oval office. Was it the experience of governor or was it something else that convinced American's to elect them?!

    Oh, and remember, that great President by the name of Lincoln? Pretty good for one who did not have a whole lot of "executive" political experience in office himself!


    These are challenging times. Let's keep our minds on the issues and not the "attractive appearances", men or women!

    I love that the republicans are against Us weekly. That means I can continue my readership with the magazine. Republicans are not true Americans. They don't believe in all of its citizens, only the ones who look like them. I was watching the convention and the camera man had to keep zooming in on the one black person in the sea of white faces. I guess they're trying to fool people into believing blacks are in the house.
    Fools... Any other time they don't want to have anything to do with black people.

    Mccain is just as wreckless as his boss/good ol boy buddy bush. He will mirror the last 8 years and drive this country into a depression. There is only one choice as I see it. Obama/Biden08

      Who is FOR some very shoddy "reporting" on an issue important to all Americans?
      Liberals and the Left Wing. The American liberal Lefty is an extremely limited block of votes and can not elect a President!
      The candidate the Liberal Lefty wants to win MUST have this candidate get votes from the center and moderates! Or the candidate CAN NOT WIN!
      Obama is far Left and a Liberal and his problem now is, so is his VP! There's nobody on the ticket to appeal to the center and moderates!
      Us weekly has not told you this!
      But like I said...there "reporting" is shoddy!

    NO LONGER! Cancel our subscription!

    After seeing the slanderous, malicious, attack-driven ???cover story??? entitled, ???Babies, Lies & Scandal??? meant to publicly embarrass Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin of the great State of Alaska, U.S. Weekly can take its communist drivel and peddle it to some unsuspecting victim elsewhere. To be honest, we all know that U.S. Weekly is far from the caliber of legitimate journalism.

    However, since it has a readership in the millions, U.S.Weekly, is clearly trying to flex its Beverly Hills political muscle. U.S.Weekly should stick to what it knows best, like what Madonna has to say about saving the world and how noble she is by adopting children from third world countries.     The Republican Party has never been popular with the Hollywood set, and I don???t think that will change anytime soon. However, the public knows that you, Ms. Min and Ms. Wenner, are just employees of the New York Times which publishes U.S.Weekly. We aren???t fooled and we aren???t stupid. Both of you are openly and unequivocally Pro-Obama. You have doted and fawned over he and his wife with a child like naiveté.     Obama's speech on "change" was uplifting and gave me a sense of hope. But after hearing McCain's speech I realized that Obama is right....if he is elected President we will have "change",---change in our pockets that is... Raising taxes, making our government bigger -makes bigger spending, I pray he is not elected President because if we think we have it bad now, we haven't seen nothing yet!!

    Who would want to vote for Obama? This man is not patriotic, he does not believe in the flag, the national anthem or the bible. He is not proud of this country. What makes you think his changes would be for the better.? Remember Castro, he wanted changes and the changes were worse for the people. I am afraid of this man and what he would do for this country.
