As one of 10 children, ans a single Mom; I feel with confidence thar Sarah Palin has the gusto my Mom has.
To all you naysayer(and Democrats); sorry the tenacity to have a career and manage a family takes more courage than any of you will ever have. Sarah show the spirit of my Mom-Who married young also and has
handled us with diplomacy, raised us with ethics, managed finances with a Greenspan's intelligence, and
managed every crisis with confidence. So all you who don't believe-Obama doesn't have these qualities.
He never can til he walks a mile in Sarah Palin's shoes. Take it from someone who was registered Democrat until I read about the abomination of Obama.

I expected McCain to pick a more presentable VP than a former runner up Miss America. Does she have an education? She sounds like an ordinary little puppet who read over a speech handed to her.
Republicans have failed to step it up to the smart, dedicated Obama, Clinton and Biden team. We have many war heroes. We love them for what they did. But they are not qualified, nor educated to run the country.

I just want her to go away.

I want absolutely nothing from Sarah Palin. She is dismissed. She can go back to Alaska and be their governor and take care of her family. She was brought in as a puppet to dress up a dying campaign.

No Way! No How! No McCain!
I think we can just leave Sarah ot of it...

I think the Drill-Baby-Drill signs at the Republican convertion showed that McCain and Palin will be about supporting the oil compaines just like the Bush administration.

God help us if somehow John McCain is elected and Sarah Palin is VP. Not that McCain is a bad person, but Sarah Pail would be a heartbeat away from the highest office.
I read a letter from a fellow Alaskan that knows her. Everyone should read it before they think of voting for the Mccain/palin ticket.

We can not afford to gamble or take a chance on someone with so little experience or qualifications.

What annoys me is that everyone keeps talking about Palin appealing to the Hillary voters. The only thing Palin has in common with Hillary is the same female parts. They are diametrically opposed on every issue. So, if you voted for Hillary why would you vote for a ticket with Palin?

McCain please stop the war story, I lost a cousin in vietnam in 1968. Enough is enough.

For Palin to ridicule Obama who as a kid out of college decided to go into community service is enraging. What is this mom of five really saying to young people? Go for the bucks? Those are not good Christian values in my book. It is noble to serve the people who are in the most need of it, especially at the age of 23 when most people are wrapped up in themselves. What did she do out of college? She decided to get a job in the dreaded evil business of the media. So probably because of these comments I'll now be labeled a sexist. It has nothing to do with sex though. When Obama very nobly and forcefully told the world, 'Her family is off limits" what is her response? He's a loser because he started his life adult life as a community organizer. I am no fan of this woman and am not sure why anyone who is a moderate or Independent would be.

Sarah Palin is exactly why some men take advantage of us. We are so niave, we cannot see when we are being used. From the mouth of McCain, his VP is there to check on his health.

From what I saw, more than half of the seats were empty at their convention!! Hahahahhahhaaaa. Huh...

  • Posted By: lizzyv @ 09/04/2008 8:21:02 PM

I raised 3 children, coaching them, volunteering in the schools and working full time. You cannot have it all. Something slips through the cracks. I want a V.P. who will focus on me...my country. I just don't believe that she can raise 5 children and all their sports and educational needs, 1 special needs child, 1 young pregnant one who will need her mother, a first grandchild and focus on meeting our countries great needs. I don't want to hear how she will do it all, family values and be a VP. After all, if she had to ask 'what does a VP do all day?.', then how can she know if she is qualified? I worked really hard to raise my family, but the cost was always there.

I totally agree with you. Some of us get besides ourselves with this women thing. who carries the baby for nine months, who has the breast milk. I feel equal to my husband but their are just certain things they cannot do for a young child.

    • Posted By: justpassinthrough @ 09/04/2008 9:23:54 PM

Do not see she has a very capable and supportive husband who by the way is the father.? Are you saying that fathers are not able to help raise the children? Also, 1 is grown the second about to leave the nest and the third is not far behind.JSor eally ther are just 2 small children to care for and she won't be too far away and Dad will be right there. I am sorry that you women were single mothers but, not all of us are. You would be amazed at how much a difference it makes to have a good man by your side.

Lizzy! Thanks for having the strength to say "something slips through the cracks."!! You nailed it, when I first heard the nomination & 5 kids, I asked my now grown daughter (special needs - C/P) I wonder what her kids are missing at home. My daughter said "A LOT!" - then came the pregnancy announcement. You can't have it all without sacrifice. I had no choice, I was a young widow with 2 kids & I had to have Heahealthcare.

      • Posted By: labman57 @ 09/04/2008 9:06:49 PM

I think she has made it very clear that the VP position will be her main priority and that the kids will have to muddle through daily life without her.

    • Posted By: AmericaJ @ 09/04/2008 8:29:46 PM

OMG, finally a woman whom has the strength to admit that raising kids & working "something slips through the cracks"! You are SO right on! I'm widowed 2 kids, raised one with special needs and I lost 2 jobs because of her special needs - even with FMLA (Thanks BILL) I made the comment when I heard Palin's announcement that I wonder what her kids were missing...then they made the announcement aboabout that

    Comment: John, John! Good speech!
Loved how you talked about being a hero, a traitor, then a hero again. To bad the people who died because you sold them out could not witness your moment of glory. What did your CO say about that by the way? Oh. By the way Johnny, what about the economy?

You sure can pick on everyone else not having substance, where was yours? Good luck with your VP - I'm sure she agrees with the education dream you have for America, considering her kids are dumb.

SARAH NEEDS TO SAT HOME WITH HER KIDS....

  • Posted By: Bdwyre @ 09/04/2008 10:40:56 PM

When she first began to speak I was impressed by her poise but then she became a snarky, sarcastic shrill. She completely turned me off with her barbed attacks and her smug demeanor. She ain't no Hillary.

Don't you know that there are no more nasty and vicious than a right wing religous republican?? Look at the talibans, it will give something to think about!

  • Posted By: wildlifeusa @ 09/04/2008 11:24:53 PM

Obama will make a great president but he is going to have a lots of work to do and results will take time. He has the wisdom, the courage, the dedication, the intelligence, the competence and the common sense.

Go Barack... you are on your way to the white house!!

  • Posted By: Ranger01 @ 09/04/2008 11:15:36 PM

Three more republicans just jumped ship. Go Obama!
