It amazes me that we women say we want choices but when a women makes a choice that you don't like, she should have not been allowed to do it. So, I guess the only women you support are those who only choose what you would choose. Freedom of choice means that you get to decide what you choose to do.

I really do not quite understand just what Palins pro family values are.
As a mother I find it very problematic to cast your own daughter into the national spotlight for scrutiny over your own political aspirations.
She has slashed funding in her home state for teen moms and special needs children.
There are too many mixed messages here.

With regard to Sarah Palin's decision regarding her daughter's pregnancy outside of marriage and her own political aspirations, she considered the options.
I would suspect that she also discussed them with her daughter.
On one hand, Sarah Palin could drop out of the VP political process, thereby unintentionally burdening her daughter with the lifetime guilt that she had denied her mother the opportunity to benefit the nation.
On the other hand, Sarah Palin could decide to continue her bid for the VP position, thereby demonstrating to the blatantly biased mainstream media that it could not interfere in the political process by installing its own choice for president and VP.
I believe that Sarah Palin made a compassionate, noble, and moral choice by displaying love and forgiveness for her daughter, and resolutely deciding to stand for office!

As the Governor, she is obliged to ensure balanced budgets from year to year, whereas Senators can merely offer to spend without responsibility in order to prostitute political support from their supporters.
Have you wondered whether some pertinent meaningful additional background information might have mitigated her decision in that regard?
What financial sum had been allocated for teen moms and special schooling last year?
What is the actual dollar value reduction for 2008 - 2009?
What amount of that specific budget item was actually spent, as opposed to proposed or assigned?
Have any other alternate programs been instituted that would still encompass or enable suitable funding for that purpose?
But somehow a rant headline and brief story posted on the huff and puff Huffington Post (the source for that headline) would purposely avoid any indepth consideration of that budget decision in order to smear its opposition.
Now do you appreciate why "there are too many mixed messages here"?

As One American Woman - I don't want anything from Palin except for her to go back to Alaska. She is being touted for things that are not true......sold the jet on Ebay - didn't happen, was against the "bridge to nowhere", was actually for it - then against it - NOW the money is kept in Alaska and being spent for a roadway approaching the now not built - "road to nowhre". She took a small town of 8000 and left them with over $1 million in debts. She did manage to get $23 million of American's tax dollars for that little town over a couple of years. She hired a Lobbyist in Washington to do this. How many of us live in little towns that got no money at all back from the taxes we paid? Who did she know who taught her how to finagle the system and get monies that were not needed nor fair to the rest of us Americans? Do we really want a person(woman)like this running our country? Will only her friends get the perks......a continuence of the last eight years. No way!!!!!!!!!!!!

I won't vote for a woman because she has the same parts as me. I also won't vote for a woman just because she has a family like millions of other americans. I won't vote for Palin because she opposes the rights of women. I want a candidate who cares about equal pay, the environment, and our education. Not someone who vows for less government; yet wants to tell us who can have abortions, how our children should be educated about sex in schools (Palin believes in ABSTINENCE-ONLY education), and where our values should lie, (within conservative ideals). I'm sick of the scare tactics and the obsessive use of 'terrorists', 'Al-Quaeda ', and '9-11' as excuses for why we need a war hero as president. Maybe if we hadn't all fallen to this propaganda eight years ago we wouldn't be in the sad financial state we are in today. The war on terror, (including the takeover of Iraq) is what has cost this country trillions of dollars and put us in the financial catastrophe we are in today. I just hope voters wake up and look at the real statistics of the things McCain and Palin are preaching. Drilling for oil that won't help our rising gas prices for almost a decade or more, and winning a war that we have already declared as 'mission accomplished' more than 1,500 days ago. We must look past McCains pick of Palin and understand she is merely the token woman the McCain believes can capture the Hillary voters. Palin is a wolf in sheeps clothing, and the women of America cannot afford to assume that her nice smile and well highlighted hair is an answer to our economic crisis.

We are in debt to China because of the Republican party policy of supporting the rich and letting the others go without. How much has Cheney made on this war? You have one of the oil people (Pikins)supporting natural gas and energy to get us off our dependence on oil and you have the Bush Administration with McCain support telling us to drill more to keep us dependent on oil. Wake up, we need to spend the time and science (something Palin does not believe in) to develop alternative means for energy, change our cars to natural gas, and look at the use of more wind farms not open more ocean and land for drilling for the benifit of the oil companies who already have more money than than can spend.
Why are the only choices you allow someone who favors Palin is either they are the same gender and so have gender bias or that they are scared of terrorists? Why is who you like as a candidate more valid then someone else?
