JamesD, being born on a Milatary base is not the same as US territory. Miltary parents have to go through the same procedures for getting citizenship as any other US citizen that has a child in a foreign country. Obama also went to a Catholic school while in Indonesia, but he isn't catholic either. The "eye witnesses" said they heard that Obama going to a Mosque occaisionally with his step-father. Many Protestants do not get baptized until they are adults. Obama's half sister never said they were Muslim, in fact she is a Budhist. And she was also raised in Hawaii. Obama was baptized nine years before entering politics, so to say he was baptized as a political cover is WRONG. Unlike OJ, William Ayers was never even charged with a crime.

I love a persion who thinks because a person who only has one parent has to be less patriotic because he happened to grow up outside the United States for a short period of time all of a sudden makes it impossible to be successful. Why is it that in a land that holds in our 1st amendment rights among the most important we have as citizens namely "freedom of religion" we still have those that refuse to understand there are other religions other than christianity in the world. I am a Christian baptized in a church and attended Sunday school my whole adolescent life. If Barack studied in Indonesia he really had no choice but to go to "muslim public school and study the koran"...thats all they have for the public. His single mother could not afford to put him in a private "christian" school. Even after his mother found an Indonesian man to marry they to could not afford it. And to put emphasis on the step-father part and blame him for his "bad" upbringing is insulting to all people to take on a parental role...voluntarily.

Lets think and use his experience in various places as a strength...since when was being worldly a detriment in politics? Maybe he has a unique understanding that might give him a unique perspective into this horrible "fractional" and "radical" fundamentalist fringe terrorists.

On your last statement about "you can never tell if it sincere when you are in your 20s"... Last time I checked when you are baptized in may branches of Christianity you are what 3-4 months old... then maybe later you able to repromise on your own. Personally I think someone in there 20s are making a very sincere and conscious decision to be a Christian.

Thank you, BHussein! Finally, someone who has not bought into the Obama hype that has been instigated by a media that seems totally out of touch with reality. No one can shoot from oblivion to the status that Obama now enjoys in such a short peroid of time unless that person is supported by corruption and illegal activities. Every time that a newspaper publishes a hint of misconduct on the part of Obama, that story disappears overnight. Whatever happened to the reports of Obama illegally receiving millions of dollars for his campaign from oversea sources? As to the Rev. Wright situation, no one would continue to attend a church for 20 years that espouses viewpoints radically different from what one personally believes UNLESS one actually agrees with those viewpoints. Anyone, whether black, white or purple, with a strong sense of morality would be repulsed by Rev. Wright's hate-filled sermons. The fact that Obama continued as a member of this church suggests two possibilities...one, that Rev. Wright's beliefs are also Obama's beliefs, and two, certain members of that church were so politically influencial that Obama could not resist the opportunity to score points. As someone else commented, IF Obama is elected to office, he will then have to start returning all of these favors to the corrupt people who helped elect him. Do we really want a president of this country to be returning favors to the likes of Detroit's Kilpatrick?

If thats all Obama has try again! McCains guilty frinds club would fill pages in here!! so don't vote McCain cause a hero does not a president make! I see it's time to bring out Goldwater,Ketting 5, and millions more Nixon,Libby,Rove!!! See the point yet if guilt by assoscation was real,, McCain would still be in prision from the very first day Obama was born,, starting with Berry Goldwater in Az!! so keep trying if this is all you can find, lets fill a few pgs with McCains guilty friends oh ya PALIN is in that club too or soon to be!!!

McCain has endorsed Bush's plan to keep us safe from terrorist attacks!!! He has done exactly that!!! We have been safe since 9/11. Give credit where it is due.
