McCain would rather lose a war than lose an erection.
McCain would rather lose a war than lose an erection.
Hey Everyone - we could argue all day long about the tabloid stories and who's being picked on in the media and who's not - but utimately - this election is going to come down to the economy and asking yourselves if you are better off now than you were 8 years ago. And now that Sarah Palin has made it clear she intends to behave like a pit-bull with rabies combined with a mad-as-hell bucking bull (with listick), she's basically promising to play her part in 4 more years of partisan gridlock and fully supports Bush's policies 100% as does McCain. It's a real siimple choice and James Carville (who I don't always agree with) definately summed it up nicely:
"By every economic measure known to man, Democratic Presidents have out-performed Republican Presidents. And by the way if you believe the economy was better under George W Bush than Bill Clinton you???ve got a real clear choice here.
"If you think what America needs is a tax cut for people making over half-a-million dollars a year then vote for McCain. If you think middle-class people are struggling ??? that their incomes are going down and they need help ??? vote for Obama. It???s a very simple choice".
- CNN's Late Edition
Making fun of Sarah Palin and John McCain will not quell the groundswell of support they have recieved, not only from conservatives, but also from mainstream hockey moms, soccer moms, etc. The newfound upward direction of the polls shows that they are a breath of fresh air to most Americans. It is Obama and Biden who are the real 'mad libs' --- mad liberals --- anti-defense, anti-family, anti-budget, and pro-abortion!
BARRY FINALLY SAID SOMETHING WE CAN BELIEVE IN....HE ADMITTED IN AN INTERVIEW THAT HE IS MUSLIM....WHETHER IT WAS A FREUDIAN SLIP OR WHATEVER....THE DUDE WAS TELLING THE TRUTH FOR THE FIRST TIME WE CAN BELEIVE IN SOMETHING HE SAID.....JUST SAY NO TO O

ABOUT SARAH PALIN-
She's not very tolerant of divergent opinions or open to outside ideas
or compromise. As Mayor, she fought ideas that weren't generated by
her or her staff. Ideas weren't evaluated on their merits, but on the
basis of who proposed them.
While Sarah was Mayor of Wasilla she tried to fire our highly respected
City Librarian because the Librarian refused to consider removing from
the library some books that Sarah wanted removed. City residents
rallied to the defense of the City Librarian and against Palin's
attempt at out-and-out censorship, so Palin backed down and withdrew
her termination letter. People who fought her attempt to oust the
Librarian are on her enemies list to this day.
Sarah complained about the "old boy's club" when she first ran for
Mayor, so what did she bring Wasilla? A new set of "old boys". Palin
fired most of the experienced staff she inherited. At the City and as
Governor she hired or elevated new, inexperienced, obscure people,
creating a staff totally dependent on her for their jobs and eternally
grateful and fiercely loyal--loyal to the point of abusing their power
to further her personal agenda, as she has acknowledged happened in the
case of pressuring the State's top cop (see below).
About Sarah Palin -Pt. 2
As Mayor, Sarah fired Wasilla's Police Chief because he "intimidated"
her, she told the press. As Governor, her recent firing of Alaska's top
cop has the ring of familiarity about it. He served at her pleasure
and she had every legal right to fire him, but it's pretty clear that
an important factor in her decision to fire him was because he wouldn't
fire her sister's ex-husband, a State Trooper. Under investigation
for abuse of power, she has had to admit that more than 2 dozen
contacts were made between her staff and family to the person that she
later fired, pressuring him to fire her ex-brother-in-law. She tried to
replace the man she fired with a man who she knew had been reprimanded
for sexual harassment; when this caused a public furor, she withdrew
her support.
She has bitten the hand of every person who extended theirs to her in
help. The City Council person who personally escorted her around town
introducing her to voters when she first ran for Wasilla City Council
became one of her first targets when she was later elected Mayor. She
abruptly fired her loyal City Administrator; even people who didn't
like the guy were stunned by this ruthlessness.
Fear of retribution has kept all of these people from saying anything
publicly about her.
G E T O F F S A R A P A L I N !
This is not about sara Palin this is about John Mccain and his irresponsible and irrational choice for his VP running mate.
This is John McCains ball game and he is the one making the decisions. The Republicans have you all looking the other way by making you think this is about Palin and John McCain having his strings pulled with his campaign manager saying things like "This election is not about issues" or one of his surragates saying' "John Mccain does not speak for this campaign" or turning "Community Organizer" into a dirty word when we all know that is a great way to reach and help peple who are in greater need than ourselves. No sir This election on the Republican side is being run by the one and only John Mccain and nobody else. If you think otherwise you are a fool in your own skin.
"IT IS NOT"
This is all about John McCain and his extremely bad judgement.
The republican party is playing Bushy with all of you all over again by making you think that he is a puppet and his strings are being pulled by Rove and company and the Republican party.
W E L L I H A V E G O T N E W S F O R Y O U!
Bush, Cheney and Mccain are dumb like foxes and we are all just fish on a hook and we are swallowing it hook, line and sinker and being reeled in all over again. They did it to everybody in 2000 and 2004 and they are right back at it again in 2008. As it stands right now they are winning and if we all keep talking about the wrong things till the General Election and lose focus of what is ailing our beloved country America will lose again.
I hope you can live with that because i can't bear the thought and i can't afford another 4 or more years of the same and as it loks right now you are all helping to get us to that juncture.
Hopefully "Softball" Gibson will ask Sarah Palin the tough questions that the American voters need to know and understand about her qualifications to be VP - which being a gritty mother of 5 is not one of them - respectful and demainding in it's own right - but certainly not a qualification to be VP of the United States!! Let's hope you write about this first I'm sure of many under experienced and unqualifed Sarah Palin will make. See below...
McCain's judgement should be seriously questioned! He made a terrible mistake in picking Plain. Obvious fact: in the wake of the government taking over Fannie Mae and Freedie Mac - here's what Sarah Palin had to say below. Sarah Palin is seriously under-qualified for a job that McCain (should he win - which I don't see it happening) that she has ABSOULTELY NO KNOWLEDGE of national or foreign policy and lacks the understanding for a wide array of issues right now!! Palin is not ready to be VP for anybody!!
Gov. Sarah Palin made her first potentially major gaffe during her time on the national scene while discussing the developments of the perilous housing market this past weekend.
Speaking before voters in Colorado Springs, the Republican vice presidential nominee claimed that lending giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had "gotten too big and too expensive to the taxpayers." The companies, as McClatchy reported, "aren't taxpayer funded but operate as private companies. The takeover may result in a taxpayer bailout during reorganization."
Economists and analysts pounced on the misstatement, saying it demonstrated a lack of understanding about one of the key economic issues likely to face the next administration.
"You would like to think that someone who is going to be vice president and conceivable president would know what Fannie and Freddie do," said Dean Baker, co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research. "These are huge institutions and they are absolutely central to our country's mortgage debt. To not have a clue what they do doesn't speak well for her, I'd say."
Even conservative analysts acknowledged that the statement simply did not hold true.
"Katrina, four dollar gas, a trillion dollar war, rising unemployment, deregulated housing market, global warming......."
"N O M O R E"
This race should be about whether the Republican Party is going to be dismantled or not after the borderline treason of the past eight years. But instead it is about making the word "community organizer" a dirty word and a beauty queen who shoots foxes from a plane. Someone is not in any way doing their job and it's the press. Or more specifically, that job no longer exists.
Probably the worst offenders are the pundits who take the position that it's all just a game and say phrases like "getting a post-convention bump" or "playing to the soccer Moms." This isn't a game of Monopoly or Survivor. There are real truths that exist outside of the spin they are given and have an effect on lives. 250,000 Iraqi civilians are dead because we let our reality be distorted by the most effective propaganda machine in fifty years, the corporate American press. Money and jobs are flying out of this country as our currency becomes worthless and we're talking about the fact that McCain is a veteran. If someone busted into your house and robbed you would you then forgive them if you found out they were a veteran? Of course not. So why are we forgiving McCain for selling out his country by supporting the Bush agenda?
ONE QUESTION: What can you expect from bush-twin-mcCain and from Palin AFTER SHE FOUGHT SO HARD TO HAVE ALASKA SEPARATED FROM THE USA? Now she is a USA-patriotic person?
Give me a break!!!

NEW SITE: THE TRUTH ABOUT THOSE SARAH PALIN RUMORS
http://explorations.chasrmartin.com/2008/09/06/palin-rumors
Today (9/08/08) on cable news they were reporting on a new site you can visit to find out the truth (or not) about the SARAH PALIN RUMORS hitting all of the blogs. The man that created it and is maintaining it (Charlie Martin) was interviewed.
So if you want to see if a rumor is TRUE OR NOT or if you want to send a new rumor you are seeing to the site, don???t hesitate to contribute.
The Truth about the Sarah Palin rumors: As of my posting of the link the site has captured 71 rumors about Palin . . . So far. Some of them are absolutely outrageous. LOL:

Yes, this would also be the Lyda Green who complained no one had asked her about Palin during the vetting process.
(Continued in my post below - The truth about the Sarah Palin Rumors - new site)
You left out that Yes, Palin believes the US military is doing 'God's Work' in Iraq.
Also you forgot that she is 100% pro-drilling anywhere a buck could possibly be made.
(Continued from my post above - The truth about the Sarah Palin Rumors - new site)
* Yes, she did push for and approve the Wasilla Sports Center. Yes, it did cost a lot of money. (People keep saying $20 million, that article says $14.5 million, but then they also added a $1.2 million dollar food service/kitchen piece. This year, after Palin was out of office as Mayor.) Yes, the city went into debt to do it (how did you buy your house, bunkie?) and raised the city sales tax from 2 percent to 2.5 percent to pay for it. Yes, the city is paying it off early. Yes, there is an ongoing dispute about title (following a struggle with the Nature Conservancy and another buyer. And yes, at the time it was built, Wasilla had a Federal judge???s decision that they had title to the land.
* Yes, she did want authority to have wolves culled from the air, because they were taking too many moose and caribou. Which people hunt for food in the back country in Alaska. No, she is not shooting them herself. I mean, not that she couldnt, but I am sure she does not have time. (Thanks to bluemerlin in the comments.)
* No, the Downs baby (Trig) is not Bristols kid, and no, the kid was not born with Downs because (a) Palin flew on an airplane (b) went home to have the baby after an amniotic leak (c) because he was the result of incest between Todd Palin and Bristol.
* No, Track (the kid who is leaving for Iraq) did not join the NG because he was a drug addict. He may have joined the NG because he was tired of people saying his Mom was getting him into the good hockey leagues. (Yes, that one was original reporting. I have got sources in Wasilla.)
* No, Willow and Piper are not named for witches on TV. Among other things, Willow was born before Buffy came on TV, and Piper was born before Charmed.

The republicans are so full of it. I just read this great article about how Rudy and Colon Powell are doing this thing on the side which is basiclly a scam. I just feel like it's all about money anyway. Here is the link if anyone wants to read it. It's pretty wierd.
http://www.americansatellite.org/2008/08/down-rabbit-hole.html
I read it. True to form with these two and no one should expect anything more from a couple of losers whose only motivation has always been to rip the American people off. it makes you wonder how much they have made from these poor lost ones looking for a quick buck that never comes to be.
LMFAO McCAIN GOT A BIGGER BOUNCE! THE ROCK STAR OBAMA IS WISHING HE HAD PICKED HILARY FOR VP AND WILL REALLY WISH IT IN NOVEMBER WHEN HIS RUN TANKS! OR IT COULD BE ALL THOSE AMERICAN FLAGS THAT WERE THROWN IN THE TRASH AT MILE HIGH! WHO KNOWS BUT ITS CLEAR THAT THE POLLS SHOW McCAIN WITH A 4 PT LEAD AND HIS BOUNCE STILL GOT 2 DAYS TO GO UNTILL WE SEE IT ALL! HMMM BYE BYE OBAMA!
Anyone who supports Gov Sarah Palin is crazy. She is literally an obnoxious person. John McCain showed how desperate and then irresponsible he was by picking her. Having her as Vice President would be a total embarrassment and ever having her be President would be white-knuckled scary, like playing Russian roulette with the country.
Before the RNC, Obama had a19 pt lead over McCain when it came to the question with voters : which candidate do you feel will be able to turn our economy around.
AFTER the RNC, Obamas lead of being the one to turn the economy around dove down to be now only 3 points above Palin. A 16 pt plunge after Palin was introduced to the national stage . . . Wow.
. . . I mean 3 points over McCain (not Palin) above. ; - D
Obama unsmaked himself yesterday on ABC when he spoke about his "Muslim faith." I had been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but NO MORE.. Quoth the raven: NEVER MORE.
The McCain-Palin ticket offers a perplexing image. John McCain really just wants to retire as having been president and shows signs that he is close to being there, even finishing a first term could be a challenge. That presents the prospect of Sarah Palin as president and that is really scary and not just because of her significant lack of applicable experience. As she describes herself, she is ???a pit bull with lipstick???, an aggressive, feisty and arrogant personality that demonstrates little knack or taste for diplomacy. She is extreme in everything. She bans books from the library, bans sex education in the high school, has the reputation for demanding everything be her way and then even the Republican powers are afraid to have her be a known quantity as they keep her from the media. She is being constantly coached by Senator Lieberman, by Bush???s speech writers and by image people hoping to make her presentable and only appears at controlled appearances where she can???t be questioned. They may be satisfied that she would be a good puppet for them but what about for us? For eight years we heard Bush???s speeches, often impressive, and yet we only have to look around to see what that has really cost us; now they are writing her speeches and expect us to be moved by them. Do we really want what that brings, being more of the same or even worse? It would seem that to vote for McCain-Palin one would have to be a certifiable masochistic lunatic. A little strong on the criticism? Really, I wonder.
THESE ARE NOT RELIGIOUS PEOPLE - THEY ARE THEIR GODS THEMSELVES. GOD WILL DEAL WITH MCCAIN AND PALIN IN DUE TIME.
Does anyone else see a pattern showing bad judgment when it comes to the circle of friends and colleagues that Obama has had in his life over the years?:

KWAME KILPATRICK - Disgraced Mayor of Detroit who has since resigned was a friend and colleague of Obama:

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS
Kwame Kilpatrick sees flames of desire always burn guilty
Monday, September 8th 2008, 4:00 AM
By Stanley Crouch
Excerpts:
Kwame Kilpatrick FIRED some city EMPLOYEES who DISCOVERED that he was having an AFFAIR WITH A WOMAN he had known since high school and who was later his offices chief of staff. Those the Mayor gave the ax did not pick up their severed heads and go into the darkness quietly. The city was sued. Kilpatrick LIED on the witness stand about the affair and later USED $8.4 MILLION OF CITY FUNDS to pay for the abuse but managed to keep the details off the public record.
The Detroit Free Press obtained the text messages of Kilpatrick and his boudoir home girl teasing each other, planning their couplings and discussing the unfortunate but necessary decision to rid the city of those employees involved in investigating them.

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
September 6, 2008
Obama - 46%
McCain - 45%
NEW - As McCain has begun to chip away as Obamas convention bounce, most of his gains have come among women voters. Obama still leads 51% to 44% among women, but that seven-point edge is just half the fourteen point lead he enjoyed last Tuesday. McCain leads by three among men, little changed in recent days.

Gallup Daily: Obamas Edge Shrinks to 2 Points (NEW)
September 6, 2008
Obama - 47%
McCain - 45%
Barack Obamas lead over John McCain has been shrinking since the start of the Republican National Convention, and he now holds just a two percentage point advantage - 47% to 45% - making the race too close to call.
www.gallup.com
sharenews: What you conveniently fail to note as being very important is that even after a week of the Republican convention, with all of the Republican attacks on Obama, Obama still leads in the polls. Whether by 2 or 3 or 4 or more points, that is significant. Why not give appropriate credit where due?
Sounds like you did not monitor the DNC and when the bump is targeted to hit. The bump for Obama did not occur until the Tuesday after the DNC convention. We will talk again Tuesday and see how things look. ; - D
sharenews: Something you said the other day and then when you demonstrated a biased contradiction today it bothered me and seems to point to anything but your being civil or objective. The other day you accepted and even thought it was humorous when a classless Republican blogger distastefully attacked Michele Obama, maybe you remember he was referring to the Jerry Springer show, and then today you were overly protective of the Palin family, even though they weren't attacked but rather just inconsistencies were pointed out between Palin's believes and actions. That is a double standard and I really would have expected better from you. Anyone is allowed to have a different opinion but unless they stick to the truth and are rational and ethical their opinions have to be questionable at best.
I actually thought it was funny. I remember that comparison cuz I could picture it. . . So, hey, yeah, it hit me funny (blame it on lack of sleep maybe. LOL). It was a one-time joke. Just an exchange between one blogger and another. My beef is when there are threads and threads of long discussions bashing the children in these blogs (yeah the Cindy thing not so much cuz the cheating divorce talks happen almost on a daily basis in these blogs going back to the primaries). But back and forth meanspirited bashing of the Palin children specifically in the Media - which in reality is really where the REAL HURT occurs to the children (. . . an innocent 4mo. yr old boy with Downs syndrome. . . everyone knows that older woman have higer chances of having a Downs baby . . so to infer that her 17 yr old had the baby and Sarah faked that she was pregnant, hid it from people and accepted it as her own is insane).
sharenews: Your comments prove you are hypocritical and lack any real class. There is distasteful stuff posted from both sides, HolyRoller style garbage, but you try to present yourself as having some class and while Republican still be fairly objective or at least factual. Your comments here destroy that imagine and substantiate that you are no better than the HolyRoller trash. By the way you are distorting what we were talking about as no one was bashing the Palin children and rather were just pointing out inconsistencies between what Palin supposedly believes and what she does. You literally have and rationalize a double standard.
Whatever Dick. . . I dont know you and I could care less if you believe what I say. Bubbye
The bump was experienced all through the week as different speakers spoke and had their impact; that was not seen with the RNC.
That was before America has found Sarah Palin to be a FRAUD.
JOHN MCCAIN AND HIS EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE AS A COMMANDER . . .A LEADER . . .IN THE U.S. NAVY:
In the Spring of 1975 John S. McCain was given an opportunity to redeem his Navy career. He was first named the 2nd in Command and then on to Commanding Officer (CO)of the Navys largest Air Squadron, a massive Unit at Cecil Field in Jacksonville FLA. At Cecil Field, they trained pilots and maintained attack jets called A7s. This was McCains first measured entry into leadership.
http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1185143625/bctid1761979374
McCain was revered by many on the base: Testimonials
Carl M. Smith - fellow officer, Cecil Field:
John was a commander who did not attempt to tell people how to do jobs (no micro-management) . . . instead he picked PEOPLE HE HAD CONFIDENCE IN and INSPIRED them to rise to the highest level of their own ability.
Sharleen Hollenback, Navy enlistee under McCain:
* He was a very ACCESSIBLE person
* He was very KIND
* He CARED ABOUT THE PEOPLE that worked in his Squadron
* I very much ADMIRED him and felt like was part of something very important in that squadron.
Carl M. Smith - fellow officer, Cecil Field:
John would talk to the Sr. chief and KID him, given him a hard time, saying things like ???what about your behavior chief?, what about your drinking?, huh, huh, huh???? . . .which would rock them back on their heels while the rest of the crew and shop WATCHED IN FASCINATION at how McCain was interacting with their chief petty officer.
That was part of his unorthodox HANDS-ON STYLE. John was not one to cloister himself away in his office on the 2nd floor of the Squadrons airplane hanger.
Carl M. Smith - fellow officer, Cecil Field:
Instead, on a DAILY basis he would WALK THROUGH the maintenance spaces, all the functional shops on THE BASE. He would go though the engine shop, the hydraulic shop, the fuel shop, the weapons shop - every one of them. He would GO IN AND TALK TO ALL the folks in the shops.
Jim Lichtenwalter - fellow office, Cecil Field:
I just think that he did a great job of making himself understand what other peoples jobs were and what their responsibilities were. . .
In its heyday in the Vietnam era, Cecil Field was buzzing with THOUSANDS OF NAVY OFFICERS ENLISTEES, AND THEIR FAMILIES.
J. B. Renninger, former Navy Pilot at Cecil Field:
You would have anywhere from 10 - 12 aircrafts in a pattern at any one time, doing touch and go???s
We would operate from 7am one morning thru 2am or 3 am into the NEXT morning. It was a very ACTIVE BASE then.
Cecil Field was John McCains last posting with the Naval Squadron, but one that would CARRY RELEVANCE today as HE LOOKS TO LEAD OUR COUNTRY.

Stop dry humping his war and POW experience. With all his years in the Senate, he still says he doesn't know much about the economy. Here is McCain's economic policy: leave your wife after she has been in a horrible accident and marry the richest women in town.
BTW, the whole leaving the wife after a car accident she had is getting old, a good 28yrs. ago. When his 1st wife had that accident he was into his 2nd yr as POW. When he returned from 5+ yrs as POW, he didnt just take a look at her and go Ugh, Im divorcing you. He spent a good 8 or 9yrs with his wife before he ended up leaving her for Cindy. . .even though it was a bumpy ride during those years. Get over it. His wife did. LOL
His military career and POW stint is a major portion of his life and shows his strength, endurance, compassion and character. That and the fact that he has an extremely comprehensive record of self-led (sponsored) legislature that has been passed in the past two decades + makes him well qualified for the POTUS job. Palin is the icing on the cake!
John McCain, the Republican nominee for president, at the Republican National Convention sternly declared that the last eight years with the Bush administration have been a failure costing America greatly and that the Republican Party has lost the people???s trust and that we desperately need real change.
There is where it is at and even John McCain knows the truth and surprisingly admits it.
McCain's leadership experience is minimal at best and even then, he continual demonstrates that all he does is go with the favorable wind. John McCain has always just taken care of John McCain. And now has aligned himself with an ineffective, non-diplomatic, 'pit bull with lipstick' to be an attack dog and useless afterwards, actually an embarrassment to the country. They admit change is desperately needed, promise they are for change and then avoid addressing any specifics for change as they cultivate support from all of those who want more of the same. What John McCain and Sarah Palin are accomplished at is lying. is more Bush-Cheney-Rove style politics. And all of the stuff you quote doesn't change any of that.
Reporter Guy is either totally clueless or is purposely trying to deceive people. Obama was responding to Stephanopolous' queries about Republican operatives trying to plant stories that he is actually a Muslim and not Christian. It was George who was confused by what Obama was saying and Obama corrected him. Reporter Guy-why are Republicans like you so intent on dividing the American people? It seems like you get some kind of sick delight from it.
