    McCain is reckless, old, forgetfull and the reason most re[publicans didn't support him in 200 is still valid today. MCCAIN WILL BE WORSE THAN GERORGE W BUSH,. FOLKS!!!!!!

    Dan Quayle... "good-looking first-term senator " was unqualified to be VP. Let's put on our thinking caps for this one....how many terms has Obama served in the senate???? That is correct! He is in his first term. And he's supposed to be qualified to be President? If you are going to make the qualification argument based on the number of terms served in the Senate, at least attempt to look as though you actually know
    what you are talking about. And BTW, Quayle was unqualified because he was as dumb as a potato, not because he was "good-looking first-time senator".

    God help America if people really are supporting Sarah Palin. It has been said by her own party that she can not perform the role of Commander and Chief. Then, why did McCain pick her. For the sake of our country, I pray Obama is our next President!

      Your own VP Candidate, and all of your losing primary candidates ( any one of which would have been a better choice), and your last democratic President all have strongly warned that Obama does not have the experience to do the job. AND HE IS AT THE TOP OF YOUR TICKET. Your voting base is drinking the media Kool-Aid, and if Oprah says Obama is OK then he must be OK, right? Well, as long as Oprah and Rosie say he is OK than that is all we should care about, huh...You can not seriously think that you can win an "experience "argument, do you?

    I find it interesting that you say, "in no sense is she ready to assume the presidency", as if that is as much of an undisputable fact as "the sky is blue". I would be curious to read a piece where you compare the differences between Senator Obama's readiness to assume the presidency and Governor Palin's readiness to assume the presidency. Even at Senator McCain's age, it is highly unlikey that Governor Palin would have to assume the presidency due to the death of the president. If Senator Obama wins the election he would be among the least qualified presidents ever. And that is as undisputable of a fact as "the sky is blue".

    Following an article in today's news of a mass shooting by the mentally ill, this is my response to the poster. THIS IS THE KIND OF PROBLEM WHO HAS TO BE TAKING CARED OF!!
    Didn't his mother begged for help??? you have no idea how UHC works. I come from the country who has the best health care system in the world. France!!
    Most people in jails suffer mental problems, they do not belong in jails!!!!! UHC would provide services and medicines to these people so they could fonction normally and hold a job. My sister is bipolar and thanks god, she is very well taking cared of and can hold a job. You like so many in this country are uncompassionate for not taking care of the most fragile among us. You are not a christian nation!!

    As a secular nation, like all european nations, We do care for the most fragile in our society, we are true christians!! We, as people have a moral and ethical obligation to take care of the most unfortunate. Your health care system is collapsing and if you do not offer UHC, your economy will end up collapsing! You cannot survive as an unhealthy nation!!

    So instead of spending trillions of your tax dollars on your military and your paranoia who does no good for the people , you better start spending those dollars to take care of your people!! In europe, our taxes come back to us, with good education, good health care for all, good infrastructures, and good social programs!! Also, we have very few crimes and no mass killings like this country has. This is one problem UHC woudl take care of!

    Your ignorance and your greed, ARE shameful!!

    Obama has years of service in Washington and at the state level. He knows enough of current events and can surround himself with political veterans like Biden. He is more that ideological which is a grim testament to how much you listen to Fox. He was the President of Harvard Law Review and is one of the brightest political minds of any era. He fought an incredible media and political battle over the last 19 months telling people exactly what he wants to do as President. And before you say you don't know what he stands for...if you made an attempt to read for youself instead of parrotting Bill O'Reilly...then you would know. Just go to BarackObama.com and he has it all spelled out there issue by issue if you actually want to know who or what you are disagreeing against. What does Palin stand for? Who the hell knows cause most of us have only heard of her for a week! It's like American Idol where they get some hot MILF with a conservative cause and see how many screeming right-wing idiots vote for her. Well roll the dice that way if you want to pal but I'm not putting my money on a spunky gal who's claim to fame is playing basketball on a fractured ankle and making a stand againt any form of abortion including rape and incest. You do your research and look into who these people actually are. And if we have different opinions then I'll accept that. Hey we had racist morons trying to keep the dark skinned youth out of certain schools only a few decades ago. Just be informed. Otherwise you'll be another shallow uniformed voter that goes the direction of the national media.

      I am extremely informed, and don watch Fox. I swear I can not tell you one time where one piece of evidence was put forward that suggested he could actually do what he says he wants to do. He is a media candidate. His track record is absolutely non existent. And that "battle" he fought with the media and Hillary was really brutal. I heard he got a paper cut once. That must have hurt. Have you read anything about McCain that did not come from the media? Have you personally researched his record and his achievements and life story?

    Sarah Palin is a right wing conservative. I cannot vote for her even if she seems to be good at what she does... and looks good doing it.

    ...but I don't need you to tell me things like:
