Where I live new Medicare patients have not been accepted by any of the 160 Doctors we have, not one, cause they pay more to bill than they recieve! Can't blame the Doc for a 25 buck pmt for a 225 buch phy! BLAME THE SYSTEM THAT OVER PAYS INS COMPANIES AND UNDER PAYS SINGLE DOCTORS! THIS BILL FAVORS THE INS COMPANIES, GO FIGURE HU! GOP DOES NOT WANT HEALTHCARE CAUSE THEY ARE TAKEN CARE OF BETER THAN ANY SOLDIER EVER WILL SO WHAT SHOULD THEY CARE. BEWARE OF ALASKANS BERING GIFTS OF DONKEY DUNG.

McCain/Palin''s high approval percentage is more than double GW Bush''s approval rating. Therefore McCain/Palin are ready now, and Bush/Cheney ought to resign today to let McCain/Palin finish the Bush/Cheney second term as a running start to their own two elected terms (the max). All AMERICANS gain this way.

Let's hope Palin wouldn't follow the record of what she did in alaska - cutting funding for programs for children with special needs.....the mainstream media is finally vetting her and getting her record out there.

The republicans are full of contraditions. They say it is a terrible thing to be a liberal yet they wish to pander to democrats to get their votes. Is this not the type of issues that the democrats spend on? I wonder what Palin will do. She should be made to lay out her plans. We are waiting.

ObamaYesWeCan, I hope you think your comment was funny. It wasn't. I have yet to meet a Downs syndrome adult or child living in misery, but I have met many miserable excuses for human beings. Count yourself in among the latter category.

Just a quick point of clarification: please note these words quoted from me should be capitalized: Voice of the Retarded, also known as VOR. They are an organization that supports institutionalization for their children-- This is NOT my choice for my child. I want our candidates to indicate to me how they will build our communities??? infrastructures to support Trig, Andy and all our children to have a life of their own???a life like yours and mine? I really don't think McCain/Palin will change anything. This woman was quite irresponsible with her own child, she admitted she flew from Texas to Alaska when her water had broken (mind you this was her fifth baby and they come quicker after the first one). How irresponsible is that, if she's that irresponsible with her own, what does she care about your children.

Also, I went to high school in West Michigan, our school had/has the bewst special education program in the region. Other districts would bring their SN kids into our program and my school would not only accepty them, but allow any of these kids to stay in the program until they were 26. So thats a good thing right? My school should have gotten more funds in order to fund the program, right?
Wrong. Seems that Bush (and the program McCain wants to continue, only more extreme) in all of his genius, well, he didn't account for our situation. Since the accountability for "no child left behind" left no child out of the standards, the fact that we had a disporpotionate number of kids who couldnt even understand what this test was, well it pulled my school into the "failing" category. One of the best schools in the state, with one of the best spec. ed programs in the state got funding cuts because of this idea of "accountability". So i say to the McPalin education plan, you're the problem, not schools like mine, "failing schools" by your standards.

Yeah, she touted the plan to eliminate social services in regards to government spending on special projects; then in the next breath, touted that she would be an advocate for special needs families. It's either the worst kind of manipulation and shameless pandering, or its her saying "we're going to eliminate programs, as long as they don't matter to us personally". Which is worse? Take your pick i guess.

I'm bothered that so many are supporting this women just because she has a special needs child. McCain's health care plan is NOT great, it doesn't guarantee people not to be dropped by their insurance companies for pre-existing conditions let alone make the insurance companies help those with special needs children obtain the therapy they need. Why is everyone so gung ho for this women when the man she is running with doesn't care about health care for all?
