Palin has never said she's a victim because the media wants to know more about the next VP of the USA. Nice spin though...

Look at the Republicans now, they can't keep track of their lies. One month they are calling Obama an elitist because he enjoys a latte and eats organic foods then they change their message and ridicule his time as a community organizer.

If I were an elitist straight out of Harvard Law School, I would definitely want to look down at others by being a community organizer. Likely.

I've heard those communnity organizers are out of touch with the poor in this country. He wants to march the poor to the voting booths so he can get elected. Nice spin. Where he met people in the community that were impressed with a man from Harvard Law that is working in the community. One of them about 40 years prior preformed at terrorist act. Being that he is as stubborn as Bush refused to apologize. I'm sure Ayers walked up to Obama and said " I like what you're doing in the community, did you know I'm a terrorist, let me know if you need help" Every usually checks the internet looking to see if there FRIENDS are terrorist. Likely.

I just thought they usually checked if they were suspicious Let's not forget Rev Wright, After looking at his past growing up in a household where is mother, step dad, and grandparents loved him very much, I could see why Obama listened to Anti American racist comments for 20 years after all, I saw the youtube clip. All the priest and pastors I know only USUALLY speak for 16 SECONDS.

Just like any other religion, Obama learn every he needed to know about Islam in one month when his natural father presented Obama with the limited edition Koran cliff notes. It makes perfect sense.

It says alot about MCain's campaign when half of the time ALL of the speakers are driving home that he is a POW. He had more experience than Bush Jr, he was a POW, and he was a maverick, He should have been the Republican candidate. What didn't the republicans like then that they suddenly like now.

The people in Alaska understand life and needs of the people in the inner cities. Now keep the salaries , take a family of 5 from there, and move them to Los Angeles or Manhatten. Where you can't go outside to kill animals in Central Park, NY when money is low. She is an outsider alright.

The republicans answer when people work 9-5 and there is more month left than money, too bad. Where people have to choose not to continue college because the bills are too high, you are on your own. Looking forward to social security when you retire, you should have saved.

The only real difference between Bush and McBush is that McBush was a POW (in case you didn't know).

It seems the best way to be nasty. sling mud, be a jerk and avoid comment and ridicule is be a Community Organizer! The boot camp for learning how to dodging, lie to people, and then pretend you've been attacked by someone and A Victim!
    Obamas' campaign blue print!
    Nice article!

Amazing - Sarah Palin bashes community organizers in her speech and then John McCain asks for volunteers in his.

I got it this is so the Republicans can do some more bashing in 2 and 4 years. The GOP the party of fear mongers and do as I say not as I do.

It's so easy to throw mud when you hear the ring of truth. The anger and lies people opposed to Obama sprew are so filled with hate. I scratch my head in wonder, "What do these people think Obama is out to do?" You don't care that he wants to restore America's standing in the world. You don't care about health care. You don't care about the issues. Something else drives people with such hate and distain in their hearts.. The one thing I get is that they never want to talk about the issues. Using pursonal attacks to avoid the issues blinds you. Picking at Obama instead of wanting to be clear on where Palin and McCain stand on issues that effect your life says that what drives you is not the dream or goal of a better life. Wharever your motivation, in the long run you will pay a price for making choices and spreading rumors and lies that have absolutely nothing with making your children's lives or your life better or safer.

I could care less about this woman's family or the garbage regarding someone's sexual life style, my only concern is how would they govern this country, PERIOD. I see that this election is coming down to ridiculous petty crap rather than addressing real policy issues. We have fallen for this same smokescreen that clouded the previous two election cycles and it looks like the American people's ignorance will once again take center stage THE LAST TWO ELECTIONS HAVE PROVEN THAT AMERICA DID''NT GET THE PRRESIDENT IT NEEDED, BUT RATHER THE PRESIDENT IT DESERVED. So my friends we all can take responsibility for what has transpired these last seven years.

To this day we have not one what one clue what he did as a Community Organizer. In my experience sometimes that mantle is used to cover a multitude of sins - goofing off, drugs, etc. We want specifics then we can judge for ourselves. Who are the folks he worked with? Why have they not stepped forward to support his sterling service? I know a lot more about Palin than I do know of Obama and he has been around for 19 months.

    • Posted By: You are a FOOL @ 09/06/2008 11:12:14 AM

If you read Obama's books, or listened to or watched or read any MSM, the media has touched on your question at some point over the last 19 months, You know nothing more than a speech about Palin. Its going to take more than a speech to get a detailed biography about a person. I want to see when she debates and I want to hear interviews. Then I will entertain discussion about your questions about her versus him.

Please read the article that you are commenting on. It has the details about organizing that you are wondering about. Go to a church in your community and watch what they do with their programs. It isn't hard to see that Obama truly is a compassionate, caring man who wants to work for all Americans.

I think Obama and his camp needs to address the rumors made by Larry Sinclair before they start to judge. There have been many residents living in the greater Chicago area and a hand full have made the claims and have repeated the claims that Obama and Rev Wright to name a few were high profile men that experience the Brothers on the Down Low lifestyle in the Chicago area. Authorities in the area wanted to question Obama on the death of one of these men who live this kind of way but it was quickly covered up by the left winged media that supports his campaign and the gossip magazine who first printed the story. This guy is nothing that he claims to be and it is very say that the American public is aiming at putting this man in office not knowing his homosexual/gay lifestyle. If these claims are false then why hasn???t he address them sooner, the answer ladies and gentlemen is that is can???t. The proof is written on the wall and now the people of these great lands need to decide do they want a person in office who has so many inconsistincies, like obama or do we play it safe and elect McCain who is ready to lead? The choice is yours people, now make a decision for god sake.......Closet Freak, or Maverick.......

    • Posted By: You are a FOOL @ 09/06/2008 11:07:13 AM

And Sinclair is the most believable con artist in the world? Are you also falling for his BS? Why address someone who is looking for 15 minutes of fame when the problems of our country are much bigger than Sinclair? What would your priority be with Sinclair? I figured it wouldn't be too high.

Sarah Palin...she's the bomb !! .....she's for real !! She can out work, out think , out talk , out fight, the Muslim kid from Chicago anytime..anywhere !!.....Go Sarah Palin !!....barracuda !!

Fool number 2 goes to this fake Canadian. Congratulations for another moronic post. You are too dumb to figure out that bigotry does not belong here trailer trash? Bah Bye

seriously Newsweek, could you be any more transparent regarding your feelings for Obama? It's amazing that you regard yourself as a fair media outlet when all you have done is slam the right and prop the left regardless of who wants the job. Maybe you should sit down and have a heart to heart with Obama's friend Rezko...

    • Posted By: You are a FOOL @ 09/06/2008 10:51:08 AM

Okay, for those of us who have read media, listened and watched for one moon too many, yes Newsweek is extremely liberal. Lets go towards the right and we have Fox news who is just as conservative as Newsweek is liberal.

When you bring Rezko into the picture, shows me your argument has taken a turn which is not necessary. What would an interview by Newsweek or Fox prove to you? The jury just was presented the case, If you were on a jury, what would you think of your presentation about interviewing the convict?

    • Posted By: ihavehadit @ 09/06/2008 1:28:57 AM

Have you watched Fox, or read the Washington Times, or the Wall Street Journal lately? If so how on earth could you not see that the bias is on the other side. But pretty soon it will become more apparently after Ruppert Murdoch buys up every news outlet there is, and you won't be able to tell that there is anything other than Right-Wing properganda.

  • Posted By: fjstratford @ 09/06/2008 12:27:46 AM

You Dems are just angry that your emperor has no clothes! You made the first false accusation - that being a mayor of a small town isnt worth your spit. Pain came back with - oh yeah, being a mayor is way better experience than a community organizer.

And it is. Get over it!

    • Posted By: You are a FOOL @ 09/06/2008 10:42:53 AM

You just won the Fool of the Year Award. Congratulations on making an A$$ of yourself. Sounds like you never did one second of community service either as a participant or a leader. When you do, come back and I will remove the award from you. Until that time, put up, or shut up.

    • Posted By: docallen001 @ 09/06/2008 5:55:30 AM

It is Palin, not pain, but she does give me a pain. Can you picture the Rightwing reaction if Obama had selected someone with her background as his VP? But I forget John McCain was a POW and anything he does is for the good of the country. We currently have a President who thinks the same way - maybe because he was was the governor of the great state of Texas and a fighter pilot (even though the repubs keep taking about McCain as a fighter pilot, the A4 which is the only plane he flew is considered a bomber).

    • Posted By: ihavehadit @ 09/06/2008 1:22:27 AM

The Obama campaign never once insulted her or belittled her experience, it was the media.
It was the same media that insulted Hillary but Obama took the blame for it, and he never complained.I think the reason that you don't get how dispicable this was, is because you are just as clueless as they are, and what a sad commentary that is, because you would think that what came out of that whole exchange was a more informed electorate, but judging by your comment, all you received was validation for your limited capacity to emphathize, and inability to show compassion toward the least of us.

  • Posted By: befair @ 09/06/2008 10:25:19 AM

McCain/Palin not only insulted and belittled organizers, they made fun of and ridiculed large chunks of Americans all across this country. The media, the large cities, those on the East and West coast. Why is it alright for them and the congregation that they were speaking to in their convention, to out right insult America. Karl Rove and the Republican Party always claim media bias, it is not true but it sure fires up their base and they revel in it.

  • Posted By: orca2008 @ 09/06/2008 10:23:53 AM

Nows this is change you can belive.
Big Brother had nothing on the Obamas. They plan to herd American youth into government-funded reeducation camps where they'll be brainwashed into thinking America is a racist, oppressive place in need of "social change. But its real mission is to radicalize American youth and use them to bring about "social change" through threats, pressure, tension and confrontation ??? the tactics used by the father of community organizing, Saul "The Red" Alinsky.

    Memo to Governor Sarah Palin:

Jesus Christ was a community organizer; Pontius Pilate was a governor.
    Sarah Palin is a hypocrite.

    'Nuff said.

(P.S. This quip is not original. I got it from the Mike Mally show on Thursday September 4. It's somehow quite appropriate.

  • Posted By: Noblinders @ 09/06/2008 10:02:58 AM

America has less than two months to know who this lady is and what she stands for and from what I am finding out I can not in good conscious vote for the McCain/Palin ticket. As an Independent my privacy is what I hold dear and someone who would fire the town's Librarian because she would'nt ban certain books scares the heck out of me.

  • Posted By: amt7799 @ 09/06/2008 5:33:22 AM

My opinion > I have a lot of respect for Obama. He sticks to the issue . I respect Mr McCain and his picked VP but I wish they should point out what they can do for the people. Life is very short and we are ar war right now. The life of Americans are much more important than to prove " who I am ". Everytime I saw news on a young soldier who died in Iraq, my heart hurts. I hope whoever will be the next President can take these young soldiers home soon.
